With Gaara

Gaara had been fallowing the dog the whole day and it was now in the middle of the night and he was about to turn back when he heard a howl from up ahead behind the next dune. The black dog he was fallowing stopped and howled as well. A few seconds later a medium sized white dog with orange spots came to the top of the dune. This dog was a little smaller than the black dog.

 

With Quentin

Quentin still hadn't left the dune but when Rosemary tried to get up Quentin told her to go back to sleep which she did. Quentin kept up the past night and was exhausted and when the sun was back up he became more and more thirsty which he was still.

Quentin laid down in the sand too tired to keep sitting up he closed his eyes he heard Brittany howl again but he didn't care. Brittany then walked past him to the top of the dune he was leaning against.

 

With Gaara

Gaara watched as the black dog ran up to the spotted dog and then the spotted dog walked up to Gaara, he felt like the dog was scanning him. The dog then barked at him then walked to the top of the dune and barked at him again.

Gaara stood there not knowing what to do when he felt a push from the black dog that looked up at him with begging eyes. Gaara let out a sigh and fallow the two dogs to the top of the dune.

He was greeted to a big surprise there where two small kids behind the dune at least he thought they were children but they looked so strange.

Brittany ran down the dune and sniffed the boy who struggled to sit up and mumbled,” What is it Brittany? Has Star come back?”

At the name the black dog ran to the boy the boy shot up and hugged the dog saying,” Star! Oh I thought you had gone missing like Mom and Dad!” The boy then sat down tiredly and looked up at Gaara whose eyes widened when his eyes met golden.

The boy looked at Gaara then said,” Who are you?” With that said the boy fell asleep. Gaara walked down to where the boy lay and pulled out the canteen that he had carried for the scouting he had been going on he hadn't drunken any of the water.

Gaara set the canteen next to the boy and sat a little ways away. Gaara thought,' He said that his Mom and Dad are missing. I kind of… feel sorry for the kid.”

It was a couple hours later the boy stirred and awoke. Gaara watched as the boy discovered the canteen and crawled to the girl and shook her saying,” Rosemary! Rosemary get up there's water here.” The girl stirred and drank then fell asleep again it was only after the girl drank that the boy took a small sip then looked up to see Gaara staring at him.

The boy stiffened then looked down at the canteen then back to Gaara. Star and Brittany sat on top of the dune watching the kids with amused eyes. The boy turned to then dogs and glared at them and sighed and walked closer to Gaara and offered the canteen to him whispering,” I think this is yours?”

Gaara nodded and took the canteen after he had it the boy moved away out of reach and asked,” Who are you?” Gaara didn't turn to the boy and said simply,” Gaara of the desert.” Quentin nodded and said,” Well I guess I can trust you. Star wouldn't have brought you if you had the desire to harm me or my sister Rosemary. My name is Quentin.”

Gaara again asked simply in the same tone,” Why are you in the middle of the desert?” Quentin sifted uncomfortably and said,” Well…You see an accident happened and my parents and I got separated and I don't really know what happened. I woke up in this desert with my sister, Brittany and Star.”

Gaara nodded and looked away at the crescent moon in the sky. Quentin then asked,” Umm where are you from?” Gaara didn't answer right away then stated,” The village Hidden in the Sand.” Quentin cocked his head to one side confused and said,” Village hidden in the sand? I have never heard of that place but of course I don't even know where I am!”

Gaara kept his face emotionless but then asked,” What exactly are you?” Qeuntin smiled and actualy chuckled,” I was wondering when you were going to ask that. You see I'm half dog demon and my sister is half fox demon.”

Gaara looked at Quentin strange but Quentin smiled and said,” Well I guess you don't believe me. There are demons though aren't there here? Like you, you smell of shukaku.”

Gaara actually flinched at the name then said,” I'm not the Shukaku he's sealed inside me.” Quentin cocked his head again and said,” A sealed demon? Well that's new. I guess a lot of people don't like you because of it.”

Gaara didn't answer but he was listening. Rosemary had woken up and wlked over to them having heard the whole conversation and sighed,” I know what that feels like. I'm half demon half human both races would not except me. I had to live in fear the day my mother died and village tried to kill me until while I was running I met my now adopted family. I learned not all people human, demon, or even elf are not all bad but sometimes fearful.”

Gaara nodded he understood everything the girl said but remembered Naruto when she said it.

Quentin sighed and said,” Well thank you a lot Gaara, but we have no idea how to find Mom and Dad.” Rosemary dug in her pocket then started to panic look around in the sand. Quentin sighed,” Rosemary I have the song stop panicing.” Quentin handed the piece of paper to Rosemary.

Rosemary nodded and put it in her kimono and looked at Gaara in a begging voice asked,” I know we just met but would you please help us find our parents and get out of this desert?” Gaara didn't do anything for a long time but finally nodded.

“So where will we go?” asked Quentin. Gaara sighed,” We will go to the village I need to tell Kankuro and Temari that I will be gone for a while.” Rosemary then asked,” Why don't you ask them to come along we need all the help we can get?” Gaara looked at her for awhile then said,” I'll ask them.”
