Naruto Uzumaki just your average, every day, 19 year old ninja, and yes when I say ninja I mean a real ninja! Anyway Naruto had finally reached his long time goal of becoming a jounin not quite Hokage, but, it'll do for now. Naruto was patrolling the outer limits of Konoha, as was his duty for the day. Really Tsunade-sama sent him to do it really just to keep him busy, he always wanted the toughest hardest mission she could possibly muster, and she really didn't want to see him in the hospital… again.

It was winter and Naruto had on his Jounin outfit (see Kakashi's uniform for reference). It was pretty cold out. Naruto had grown a lot in the past years, he was taller and more muscular, not ripped but he was toned well. And, he was stronger, much stronger.

As he was walking his thoughts drifted, lately he'd been thinking a lot, about how he used to like Sakura, and why all of a sudden did he not like her anymore. For example just the other day he'd caught himself checking out a guy. Naruto's face turned red as this thought occurred and he began scanning the landscape for anything unusual, just to take his mind off of everything. He spotted something in the distance. It looked as though there was a figure laying on the ground. He made his way over to examine it; normally he would have just ignored it, but something was pulling him, as though by instinct. What he found was a large piece of blue cloth, covering something, he gently and carefully pulled away the cloth from it's secret, Naruto nearly gasped at what he had uncovered.

It was a young man, probably around 17 and a light shade of blue, he wasn't breathing, not much shorter than Naruto perhaps four or five inches. He had short black hair that flipped in the front in sort of a crown. Naruto brushed the dirt and blood off of the boy's face, almost instantly his eyes fluttered open, they were a deep crimson, not red like Sasuke's Sharingan but more the color of blood. He looked at Naruto, smiled and fainted. `No! I've got to get him to Tsunade-baba.' And that was what he did he scooped up the other and ran to Konohagakure; Naruto leaped from building to building every ounce of balance and speed coming into play as he made his way to the Hokage building, Naruto burst in through the upper chamber window landing right in front of Tsunade.

“Naruto! What in the world….” Her anger subsided as she saw the lifeless body in Naruto's arms. “Who is this?”

“I was on patrol and I found him in the snow…you've gotta help him.”

Tsunade always loved Naruto's compassion for life “It will be alright Naruto we'll take him to the infirmary. She spoke softly so as not to upset the boy more than he already was. Tsunade went to take the boy from Naruto's arms but Naruto held on tightly, Tsunade smiled and nodded she led him to the healing quarters in the Hokage building, and into a room with an empty bed, Naruto laid the other down and Tsunade began to look over him. She opened his shirt, which was very tattered and placed a hand over his heart. It's faint but his heart is still beating. She called for a nurse. “Naruto, I'm going to need you to wait outside.”

“But Tsunade—” she gave him a look that cut off his sentence and Naruto knew that he couldn't argue, so he dropped his head and left the room.

Tsunade circled the boy while the nurse took off the rest of his wet and tattered clothes and replaced them with a robe; she also put in an IV and an oxygen mask. Tsunade caught sight of a mark on his stomach, so she pulled open the robe to reveal a seal, very similar to Naruto's. `So, it is you… well it's no wonder why Naruto was drawn to you..' Tsunade smiled and turned to the nurse. “Don't breath a word about the seal,” she nodded. “A jutsu has been put on his vocal chords, he won't be able to speak until we find a way to break it.

“How did you--?” the nurse began, but the elder just gave her a look of, it comes with experience. Tsunade left the room to tend to a very eager Naruto. When she came into the corridor just outside the room, Naruto barraged her with questions. “Naruto!” he was instantly silenced, much as a child is when they pester adults too much. “He is going to be fine, just a little rest, but, he won't be able to talk, a jutsu has been put on him that hinders speech, I'm sure I can put an end to it I'll just need a little time.” Naruto looked as though he wanted more information. “What is it?”

He looked at her with concerned blue eyes. “I was just wondering, what are you going to do with him? He's not a criminal is he? I mean he looks like he was hurt.” His brow furrowed with concentration, even the blonde himself didn't understand his concern. But he felt drawn to the other, a strange connection, like he already knew him.

“No he's not a criminal, and as for what I was going to do with him, well I'm glad you asked, I want you to watch after him.”

“W-what?! Me?!” she nodded. “What am I supposed to do huh?!”

“Show him around let him stay with you at your new apartment, you have more space now, besides, you found him, it's the perfect mission to keep you out of trouble.” Naruto's face flushed at the thought of having someone live with him.

“Just come back tomorrow and let him know what is going on, he'll understand.”

“How do you know?” she just gave him that `I know' look and walked off. Naruto watched her until she was out of sight, then he folded his arms. `Now what?'

Tsunade sent Naruto a note and some clothes. `Naruto, this should fit the boy show him the city and bring him to me in evening,' He felt that he needed to know how the other was doing, how he was feeling. `ugh! This is so stupid, I don't even know him' Naruto questioned himself in his mind over and over again until he finally reached the door; he heard something drop and crash on the floor inside.

The nurse from the previous day came out and looked at Naruto, “Maybe you will have better luck,” she said.

Naruto looked at her, puzzled. “What? What are you talking about?”

“The boy… he won't eat, and he glares at everyone, I'm sure if he had a voice right now he'd be an obnoxious brat.” Her anger grew as she talked about him, and she walked away.

Naruto on the other hand was very eager to meet him, surely it wasn't that bad. The blonde gently opened the door. He walked in and instantly met eyes with the other, the black haired boy had a surprised look on his face, like he wasn't expecting anyone, but his soft sweet look was quickly replaced with a hard grimace.

`Great, is this idiot going to try to feed me too,' a voice rang in Naruto's head, clear like a bell.

“Idiot?! Who are you calling an idiot, I'm not gonna help anyone that makes judgments like you, who do you think you are?!” The boy took on a shocked expression, he was propped up in bed and with that look on his face, all of Naruto's anger vanished, he had deep garnet eyes.

`How did you?... Can you hear me?' it resonated again in the blue eyed ninja's head.

“Of course I can hear you, who couldn't?” Naruto slowly remembered Tsunade's words from the previous day. “Oh… sorry,”

`No umm it's alright… what's your name?' Naruto went and sat on the end of the bed.

“Naruto Uzumaki, and you?”

`Tatsunosuke… Tatsunosuke Kazetsubaki. Were you the one that found me?'

Naruto's heart melted with his words ringing in his head, “Yeah.”

` Well I'm glad I finally get to thank you so, thank you Naruto Uzumaki,” He smiled.

“Any time.” The blonde looked dumbfounded. He snapped out of his stupor, “Um, these clothes are for you.” He held them out and the other took them. “So Tatsunosuke, where are you from?”

`I'm from the village of the sound…' His sentence ended there, it was followed only by silence, Naruto quickly thought of something else to say due to the uncomfortable silence.

“Why don't you change, and then we can go get something to eat, I'll bet you're hungry.” His blue eyes drifted closed as he thought of Ramen. Tatsunosuke nodded and began undressing. Naruto's face turned beet red, the other had turned his back to Naruto and gotten completely naked, `I guess he's okay with it because I'm a guy, but man!' Naruto's eyes roamed all over his body, from his sleek shoulders to his smooth toned back, and his rounded backside. `He's got a cute butt,' His slightly tinted skin wasn't flawless, but it was the minor imperfections, his scars that made his body that much more desirable. Naruto absently wondered where the scars had come from. The blonde ninja suppressed his growing erection and attempted to calm himself. Tatsunosuke finished dressing and turned around. He was wearing a black and red outfit; he had on all black pants that stopped short at his ankles, a black top with red seam that folded closed, like a robe, it was a little short exposing the slightest bit of skin, between his pants and the shirt and his pants.

Ty: okay sorry the beginning is kind of cheesy but it will get better I promise, I hate first chapters anyway. If anyone knows where I got the name for the OC I'll give you a cookie…^_^ mmmm cookies.
