Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ A Life for a Life ❯ Fighting Rage Fighting Pain Part 1 ( Chapter 27 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
I do not own Naruto…
Moiya Hatake…I plead the fifth…but I don't think you will like what I have planned anyway…
Caliko…You make some valid points as well. But and sorry if I sound like a brat. From what I have seen in the time skip in both the anime and the magna…Sasuke does react to Naruto's presence. Even though it is not much Sai, I think will play a huge role in that instance to get them back together
Chapter 27
Arashi awoke to not only the sounds of someone making noise, he also awoke with a massive hangover. His head pounding, the former Hokage, sat up and immediately regretted it as it made the headache he had gotten even worse.
The noise getting a little louder, Arashi growls in irritation at whoever is making it. But the growl turns to one of shocked surprise as a mug of something hot is thrust in front of him.
“Here.”
Stunned as he looks up to find his son staring at him with obvious animosity, the older man just sits there in surprise.
“Fine if you don't want it…” The blonde youth is irritated as he moves to pour it out. He looks up as Arashi's arms reaches to grasp his wrist with the tea inside it.
“Wait Naruto! I do…thank you.” Arashi whispers as he takes the mug gratefully.
The tea familiar in scent, it is more then likely the concoction Jiriaya had used often when he was out training his students. Ask anyone who was his student though and they would tell you this…what training. Even though he did teach them some powerful stuff, a fair amount of the time you would also be curing a drunken Toad Sage of his hangover in the morning.
“Remedy number 3?”
“Hmmmph…I had forgotten you learned from Ero-sennin.” The youth commented. Turning around the young blonde went back into the kitchen for a few minutes to clean up his mess. Banging around a little bit, he looked up in the middle of doing dishes to find Arashi groaning a little bit but nevertheless standing up.
“I won't betray you…”
His knuckles whitening as they tighten around a drawer handle, Naruto manages to fight off a remark that's simmering on the tip of his tongue. Instead he remains silent, and goes back to cleaning his small kitchen. “If you need the bathroom it is the first door down the hall on the left.”
“Naruto…I…”
“Leave me be…” The youth mutters. His resentment strong and clear in his voice, Arashi for the first time in a while fights back. For he now realized another way to get his son to acknowledge him…
And for he to atone for his mistakes…Yukita had said it once. Once when he was trying to figure out how to stop two of his students from fighting one another…Kakashi and Obito…
Sometimes when a pain gets to be too much…when you lose control of what you know. All you can do is ask for forgiveness that only way you or they know how. Whether it is with words…or the occasional fist…
“No…”
Blue eyes narrow in anger as they stare at him. “Get out of my home!”
“No…”
Not caring for once that he was in hangover or at the location of where they are at, Naruto begins to glow a deadly shade of red. A part of him can hear the demon within the seal encouraging the youth to fight, to get vengeance…for ruining both their lives.
The bandages on Naruto's arm burning away, Arashi despite his headache, is now sober and alert. Shortly thereafter he was flying against a wall as his son lunged at him. His eyes red now and the whisker marks more defined, Arashi could feel his own chakra although weaker growing stronger in sheer leaps and bounds.
Flipping Naruto over, and onto his back, the youth hisses is rage and leaps for his opponent again. His hand open as claws try to emerge, Arashi feels that familiar sensation and disappears in a yellow flash.
Re-emerging behind him, Arashi's arms are wrapped around Naruto's waist. Hard and tightening as the youth struggles, he doesn't notice until he feels their arms pulling at his own, that his son has managed to summon shadow clones.
Either way now, as both start emitting tremendous amounts of chakra, their two ANBU guards make a move to break it up yet hesitate at the same time.
Both want to do their jobs, as they were ordered to protect both from harm, even if it is from themselves. Yet at the same time, being the only two to know what is fully going on with them, understand that this has been long overdue. So they decide to in act a law that is seldom used anymore.
They are going to override the Hokage's Orders…
So as Kakashi comes running as do several other ninja, both Wolf and Hawk leap down and shake their heads no.
“It is needed…”
“Do not interfere…”
The Copy Ninja is angry as they observe Naruto being thrown out a window, his body covered in welts and bruises of all kinds, he observes as the fox child leaps back through with a snarl.
“They could kill each other!” The ninja roared. “If you do that you are breaking your orders!”
“When we believe that they intend to do that we will stop them Kakashi-senpai. As to our orders we enact the law of ANBU override…”
Having once been a member of the prestigious guard himself, Kakashi growls in anger. That law was passed, should the Hokage ever become too much for the people, that the ANBU would be given power should they see fit to assassinate him or her without orders.
The chakra fluctuations pulsing even more so now as this time Arashi and Naruto both come crashing through the door, the other ninjas that have gathered are in awe as the older of the two combatants kicks hard and into his own son's stomach. Some thrilled at the demon they believe Naruto to be is getting punished, they also wonder why the other is yelling as tears of pain and regret flow from his eyes.
“Naruto I will not betray you!”
“LIAR!”
By this time Sakura and Ino had finally joined the small gathering around Naruto's home, followed by Hinata and several of Naruto's friends. Both young medics confused at what is going on, they see the battle and attempt to stop it, but are prevented, by Kakashi and the ANBU much to their surprise.
“Let us through Kakashi-sensei!” Shouted Sakura as she fights the older ninja to get to her friends and bash their heads in herself for being idiots. “They are going to outright kill each other!”
“No they won't…”
Turning at the sound of Kiba's voice, the Hound Ninja, shakes his head sadly. “I don't smell a killing intent at all… What I smell is rage…a lot of it. And something else…”
Gazing at him, Kiba has one question that startles many in the pile, as some recognize the other fighting Naruto and cheer him on in hopes of the demon brat's in their opinions death. “That other guy, he's Naruto's father isn't he?”
Trying to think of something…anything to distract the crowd from Kiba's question, Kakashi struggles to find a suitable answer. In the end it does not matter as Sakura and Hinata spill it.
“Yes he's his father Kiba! Now please help us get through! We have to stop them from fighting! We have to stop them before they regret it!”
