ShrapnelMan… Actually from what I have seen in the manga and the anime, I think Sasuke has always had those feelings… if you check out my little one shot fanfic Two Dreams, I think it better describes what I am trying to say.

IX-Forgotten Angel-XI…Actually I could kind of use one eh heh….As you can tell grammar is not one of my strong points. But the thing is the way that I am churning these out, I think people would get miffed if I slow down.

Chapter 30

Naruto grimaced in pain as he tried to turn his arm. The fox was amused at the discomfort he felt, and was refusing to do anything this time to ease it. Looking towards the other man, Naruto still finds it hard to call him father. They still have so much to sort through…so much…

“N...Naruto-kun?”

Looking up at Hinata, Naruto can't help but smile. Since his return he had long since realized that he felt a strong friendship with Sakura and nothing else. In fact he was quite surprised when they were walking together after the ramen place that she was in fact going out with Lee.

Since then well…things have been different for him. He found the quiet shy Hyuuga heiress to be a relaxing. He doesn't have to fake anything around her…and she listens to him. Most girls don't….

“Yes Hinata-chan?”

Watching her bush, Naruto waits patiently as she tilts her head. Her pale eyes looking at him shyly, “Would you…would you like to go do something later?”

Nodding his head, the young woman blushes more and the two began to speak. Unaware of Arashi watching, not to mention groaning a little the older man couldn't help but smile alongside Hiashi who observes them.

“What are you going to do now that the secret of your return is out?” The Hyuuga asked. “The other council members are already clamoring for you and Tsunade-sama to work together on running Konoha. Some of them also want you to get rid of your son.”

Growling now at that one sentence, Arashi gestures for Hiashi to follow him into a different room. Closing the door behind him to make sure that they are alone, he looks to the elder man with a touch of anger.

“The day I get rid of my son, will be the day Hell freezes over Hiashi. Who the hell is after my son on the council?”

“Danzou mostly…” Hiashi replied. “He does believe Naruto is your son, do not worry about that. What he also believes though is that Naruto will betray Konoha because of the Uchiha.”

Arashi is stunned at this statement, yet he can not shake its words. His anger getting to him, he looks to Hiashi with a calm demeanor that is full of anger. “Danzou is after my son…”

“It is the reason why Sai apparently joined Team Kakashi anyhow. It seems he was originally sent to assassinate Sasuke Uchiha and your son as well.” Hiashi replied. “But apparently, the youth had grown attached to the bond that Sakura and Naruto share din their concern for Sasuke.”

“How did you find this out?”

“I have my sources…I do not trust Danzou at all…” The Hyuuga replied. “Something about him is not right…”

“Does the Godaime know about this?”

“She is the one who asked me, originally, because it seems she does not trust him either. But by then I had already taken some measures.” The Hyuuga replied. “I have managed to block him in many measures so far since your return…he has been trying steadily to get rid of Tsunade…”

As the two men discuss the situation, that is the council, two young adults that had left the hospital where they were grimaced when they saw the mess that was once Naruto's apartment. But what surprised them was that as they started to clean up, Sakura along with some of the villagers whom had come to help them?

“Sakura?”

The pink haired medic shrugs, as she sets about sweeping some glass and parts of the wall into a pile. An older woman, which Naruto doesn't know gives him a gentle smile, and then yanks her husband inside giving orders for him to fix part of the wall.

Kiba had then arrived with his arms loaded with food alongside Ichiraku and his daughter. The two grinning at one another, Kiba goes off into the kitchen with Ayame, who waves hello.

“What's going on Kiba…?”

“I don't know Naruto, but trust me when I say that fight you had with your old man has woken a lot of eyes thanks to your little fan club.”

Confused for a moment, Hinata smiles as she knows what Kiba is talking about. Helping Sakura out, the two girls watch and smile as Konahamaru and his friends enter do help clean up. After Kiba is done speaking, Naruto whirls on the trio and gathers them in for a hug.

Allowing the villagers around him to smile…maybe they were wrong all these years…

Sasuke watched as Kabuto set a woman off and on her way with a message to someone. The dark haired youth, although he did not show it was thinking of the past once again. Ever since he taken out the Snake Sannin in his own immortality jutsu, he had found himself regaining more of what he had tried to destroy within him…

Which was odd…

All the training he had done with Orichamaru should have prevented that from happening.

Yet ever since he went into that dimension….

Getting up and ignoring those around him, the youth heads towards the Sannin's personal library. Somewhere in those scrolls and books, has to be notes on that jutsu. Because theoretically he is beginning to wonder at something…

Could that jutsu have had a side affect on the survivor?

Entering the library, he senses many seals upon its protected treasures. Sighing in exasperation at that he will be busy undoing them for the next few days. He begins the task of unraveling each seal one by one. As he does this, his can not help put think of a dream he has been having recently…

Shaking his head to get rid of the pleasant warmth, which the dream has always given him he still cannot help but be disturbed by the happy feeling it had given his lonely soul…

A part of it frightens him…he was shown two paths that had could take in this dream…both lead to the same conclusion. But at the same time had different emotions to them….

One was of warm and filled with life…in his mind that is the part that represents his past…

The other is of red blood and destruction…war and death… That represents his brother, his future…

He has been constantly dreaming this ever since he had left Konoha years ago. It had stopped for a few years, but since he had killed his sensei… they have been steadily coming back…

It was unsettling…

Freeing his mind once more of those thoughts, he hurriedly goes through the seals of protection that Orichamaru had placed all over the library. Besides finding out about that jutsu…maybe he can find out about others.

He knows that the snake had to have been holding something back from him.

And he was determined to find it…as he does so, he doesn't notice how the curse seal seems to be changing…

Because I am tired of having to hear some of you bitch about it. Nar/Hina is one of the pairing and simply because I like it! You don't go read something else! Besides the fact in my head she plays a role later on. A BIG ONE!

There will be a couple of other pairings involved as well. In fact you should see another one with hints shortly…tee hee
