Okay so now you guys figured out some of the connections between the plots with that little overview apparently. That's good.

Chapter 53

Outside the Sound Village, by the Temple

“Destruction of the World...” Sasuke said to himself as he now sat outside the cave temple in thought. Sasami beside him playing with flowers, the little girl had awakened not to long after that revelation. Giving a sleepy gaze and a question of what time it was. The angelic lady had smiled and gestured for them to go ahead and go outside. Amaretsu had said she must go and check the seals.

That said and from what she has told him. The younger Uchiha had figured out that with each Biju being taken out one by one, it was becoming harder and harder for her and her sisters to maintain the seals upon this D'Eskel.

“Sasuke-sama?” The little girl looked at him inquisitively and shyly. His cold eyes looking at her, with no expression what so ever, the child doesn't let it faze her as she hands him a couple of flowers. Smiling happily, she turns around and goes back to playing as the younger Uchiha stares at the delicate blossoms with a quiet kind of thought.

Unlike most other girls, who after giving him something would harass him about a date after doing so. Therefore, making him mad...annoyed...and downright irritated. But nothing, no kind of emotion like that followed her little gift.

Hearing that voice in the back of his head, Sasuke calls out to her to come with him. The child crawls in first as he brings up the rear, at the cave entrance. Her idle babble breaking the silence, he remains alert for anything. This time though instead of standing in darkness, the temple and the cave is lit and shining with power.

“Pretty...” Sasami stated with a smile. Her innocence is warm and soothing to not only the temple. But to her guest as well, Amaretsu notices softly. Sasuke although cold and indifferent at the moment, she can see his fractured spirit.

You wonder why you haven't killed her yet.

Startled by the woman's keen insight, the Uchiha looks up at her with guarded and wary eyes. Chuckling softly, the ethereal being conjures magical flowers, for the child to look and smell, thus keeping her distracted.

Maybe it is because she looks up to you as you once did with your own sibling...

“What else do you know of my brother?” Sasuke growled out, his Sharingan eyes flashing, he grabs the hilt of the Kusanagi. “You mentioned that the Akatsuki leader seduced him...promised him things.” But he finds himself stopped and unable to move, before he could even move it an inch.

Here in my home young Uchiha, I have far more power then you.... And as to your brother, your history...is here as well. I know that you seek vengeance on him. But on the path that you are on now, you will not succeed.

“I will to succeed...”

Saying nothing, the woman looks at him as he struggles to pull the sword out.

Tell me lost one, then why is that your other part. The one who shares the same destiny as you, runs into him far more often then you would like to think. One who had recently nearly taken off his arm?

“I already know the answer to that and is because he is the Kyuubi!”

If that is the case... Why does your brother seek him out so much?He has told you in your history, that he left you alive so that you can surpass him. So that you can take your vengeance...yet every time he has been around you. Why does he seek the Kyuubi vessel and not you?He could have taken the youth several times in the past...yet he did not.... So why?

Startled by her question, Sasuke relaxes his hand and finds himself able to move once more. His mind lost in thought, he realizes that Amaretsu has made a valid point. Not once in all the times he has run into Itachi, was his elder brother after him. He was always after his friend Naruto...

“You know why he does that don't you?”

Yes

“But you will not tell me...”

I can not...

“Can not or will not?”

Sighing a bit in irritation, the younger of the Uchiha siblings looks away. A realization hitting him, Sasuke growls in anger.

“It is because he doesn't want to test himself against me...he wants to test himself against Naruto!”

Yes...

“Then why...why did he leave me alive...?” Sasuke screamed out. His spirit fragile and breaking, the curse marks spreading out over his body. He doesn't hear the screams of don't or anything in this state. All he feels are simply pain and heartbreak...

Suddenly, he stops though as he did once before in the Forest of Death...

Back then it was a 12 year old Pink haired Genin named Sakura Haruno who stopped him...

“Sasuke-Sama! Don't change! Don't go bad!” Sasami screamed out as the little girl came racing from in front of the temple and tackled him from behind. Stopping the change as best she could with her innocent pleas...

Her bloodline had felt those overwhelming painful emotions, in the back of her mind. She knows Sasuke-sama is good or else the Angel lady wouldn't have wanted her to bring him here. So she had to do something she had to help....

The power flowing through powering the beginning of the second stage, the Uchiha feels only the pain and the anger flowing through his body as fear and loneliness over take him.

Sasami still held on tighter, but as she does so, the young girl starts to glow blue. A summoning power that came because of her blood limit, she found herself yelling for the aide of one person that she knows and trusts with all her heart.

Elsewhere and at the same time, her mother feels the triggering of that call, and starts to glow blue herself.

She stops glowing a minute later and collapses to the floor. Hearing the thud, Arashi yells for Naruto to get some help as they see a puddle of red hair on the kitchen floor... As the youth speeds off, he does not realize that the blue light of his chakra starts swirling with red.

Never joining, the two colors surround the youth's form, and thanks to his training and lack of a Kunai, a brilliant flash of color erupts from where the youth stood....and he vanishes seconds later.

The Raging Storm of Konoha has been born....

But as Naruto disappears in a flash, Arashi gathers the woman into his arms. Despite his wariness of her, he is admittedly worried. But the worry turns to shock as when she shoots up, the red falls off to reveal a curtain of black hair. Her body glowing blue again, she struggles to break free....

“Let me go I have to save her! SASAMI!”

Earlier...

Sasami found herself in Sasuke-sama's mind and paled at the horrible visions she saw. Shaking with fear, but determined to keep these images from becoming permanent, the child was about to seek out those happy memories, when she felt a warm and welcome presence beside her.

Looking up, Sasami clutches the hands of her mother...Umiko.

I shall help you find the goodness in his memories Sasami....

Smiling tears of joy, the child and the woman searched. The little girl drawing strength from the woman beside her runs forward through the path's that have become twisted and dark. Umiko studying this maze of lost hope, cries in pain for the poor soul that her daughter wishes to heal.

Suddenly seeing a small gentle light up ahead, the woman points it out to her daughter who runs toward it. Pulling the older woman with her....

Remember what I taught you little one?

Nodding her head happily, the little girl touches the light, and the mother and daughter find themselves in a memory. Although there is sadness and pain in this memory that they watch, as a young blonde speaks to the body that they inhabit in this memory...

And when I am with you...I wonder if this is what it means to be with a brother...

There is also hope... I can never admit it...but I want that to Naruto... It is to late for me

Umiko recognizes the name of the boy who stares at them with such hope in his heart, as the image disappears.

Feeling as the darkness around them, tries to destroy this fragile hope that wants to be protected, Umiko is thrown out by this malevolency. Leaving a little girl to guard this precious hope alone....

“SASAMI!”
