I do not own Naruto
IX Forgotten Angel XI... actually I think a battle between Sasuke and Kabuto would be kind of even. As to Naruto...I don't know....right now he is simply a young man who turned into a little boy, who got his father back for the first time. How would you feel if said father hit you, for what you thought was no reason at all?
Cooltony... How long...Beats the heck out of me I never know how long my stories get. According to mediaminer I'm thirteen pages shy of 200 so far.
Chapter 56
Gulping a little bit in fear, Fate waves at the pool of events that was created specifically for this world. His breathing becoming heavy and erratic, Memory turns to flee, only to be pulled back by her older brother.
You are lucky little sister that the results still hasn't changed. Instead, you just made life harder for a 10 year old girl, who didn't need to be involved...
Konoha Village...Two days later...
In quiet hope as she sat in her cell, Umiko looked out towards the village with a measure of hope. For the first time, since her baby girl was taken from her three years ago, Umiko felt, that her daughter was safe at the academy. Something in her daughter's eyes told her that the younger Uchiha was more then capable of protecting her daughter.
Sighing as she remembers the darkness of the Uchiha's mind, she makes a silent prayer to Kami. “Please...please give my baby the strength to help him fight the darkness...”
“Praying? Like that will do you any good.”
Whirling around at the sound of a most hateful voice, Umiko hisses in rage as she looks at her jailer.
Danzou smirks as he stares at the woman. Her disguise taken away, despite the coloring differences, she does indeed look like Arashi's late wife. But because she is a Tanaka he dares not go any further. Her mind skills alone could reveal the many secrets he holds with him stepping foot inside the room.
Because of the fact, that she had not killed anybody, the woman was placed in a specialized room. From the outside, seals were all over preventing any kind of limit or jutsu from escaping to those outside.
Whereas on the inside, they had some measure of freedom... But it mattered not, in Umiko's case.
“I wonder how your darling daughter is, now that you have been caught.” Danzou worded snidely. “If what Arashi-sama said was true in the council meeting, your child is in danger. And I am pretty sure, that vile Snake Sannin doesn't like it when his people fail...”
Giggling almost hysterically, now, Umiko looks at Danzou with a calm derision. Unlike her look-alike predecessor, she was far from afraid of him. “So you are the other traitor Danzou....” She chuckles. “I had always wondered where Kabuto had gotten his reports of the events here in Konoha, during those meetings I was forced to go to. It was always you...”
“I am not working for him!” Danzou shouted out. His own fears starting to play against him as he looks around, to make sure no one is listening.
“Then how did you know I was one of Orichamaru's people?” Umiko whispered sweetly. “There are others in the Sound village that could have sent me. And you and I both know he has allies in other villages, which hate the leaf. I could have come easily from one of them and sent my daughter to Sound as part of a treaty or something. So how did you know?”
Growling in rage as her logic makes sense, Danzou rushes at the door of her cell. “I will kill you if you even breathe one word of my alliance with the Snake!”
“At the rate you are taking, Danzou, I will not have to worry about it. You will prove your allegiances soon enough.”
Watching as he stalks away Umiko smiles, as a strong Jutsu is lifted from off of him. Arashi standing there purposefully grins beside Tsunade and Hiashi who were in the next cell over listening.
“Well that explains much...” Tsunade said purposefully, as Arashi and Hiashi look at one another. The three of them had come to speak with Umiko, earlier. Ready to talk with them, Arashi had silenced them all and hurried next door, for a reason that puzzled everyone.
Sending Umiko a single look, the woman had a feeling what was happening and had nodded her head in understanding.
As said figure came into view, and before seeing them, Arashi worked a strong Genjutsu upon the older man. Tsunade and Hiashi startled as it seems Danzou never notices, Arashi just winks as he motions for them to remain silent.
Now as he leaves and the Fourth breaks his hold, he strides forward towards the cell. Umiko smiling greatly, as she sees his features in the window, the older man holds his hand out for the keys. “I want to let her out.”
Before Tsunade and Hiashi could protest, Umiko shakes her head. “Arashi...be practical. Fourth Hokage or not with what you just did, you set him up to come after me.”
Ready to protest, Arashi is stopped by Tsunade who covers his mouth before he could speak. “She's right Arashi.” The older blonde woman replied. “Right now, Danzou knows she is in jail and under guard. Here she is safer then she would be at your compound.”
“Plus she can serve another purpose.” Hiashi says quietly, as Umiko nods.
“I can draw the Sound out. Because of whom I am and what I know...they will come for me.”
“Just who are you?”
“I am Umiko Tanaka, the Top Spy for the Sound Village and chief infiltrator. Kabuto, a name I know that you know well, was once one of my students.”
