Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ A Life for a Life ❯ Arrival of a Lost one part 5 ( Chapter 65 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

I do not own Naruto

Rasengan86... I told you action was not one of my strong points silly! I at least tried heh....

BTB... Listening looks a little sheepish.... I guess I was lucky then. I am basing Arashi's personality off my stepfather who passed away 6 years ago. Daddy was the type who could be all serious and leader like one minute. And be a complete ditz and not afraid to wrestle with me or my brother the next.

The best motto for daddy was you are never too old to be a kid...

Chapter 65

Shakespeare in another time and part of the world asked this in one of his plays. To be or not to be, that is the question...

Fate muses those words in his head and others of his own kind gaze at the offered hand of the blonde. He hopes that the youth would take the end. This would lead to the real power the lost one needs to fight not only his biological brother...

But to save the one who shares his bond.... his spiritual brother...

But to take it now...would almost be to easy....but that path is a choice as well. One that will bond the two as brothers and bring in the girl as their sister...she is their bridge....

Just the final battle will more then likely if this path is taken. Kill at least one if not all of them....

Sasuke struggled, his head pounding as the darkness fights against his will. Giving protests of power that is yet to be granted, another part of him asks now at what cost would it bring.

Would the power be worth losing the blonde?

Would it be worth losing a chance at a real family after so long?

Would it be worth his life?

“Sasuke come with me...” Naruto replied softly. “Father wants to adopt you...make you his son and my brother for real.” The blonde said quietly as he steps forward, his hand closer now. Others start to approach slowly. Especially Arashi who senses that now is the time for him to come into the battle...

“He's right you know Sasuke...” Arashi commented with a warm smile. Startling the dark haired youth, who turns around at the sound of his voice. Sasuke finds himself looking into bright blue eyes and a smile, which he has long wished was directed at him by his real father. “I would be proud to make you my son...”

His heart yearning for that kind offer, the darkness struggles within telling lies and stories to make the youth sad and angry. The marks angry against his light skin, Arashi's instinct kicks in and he gathers the dark haired youth into his arms. The strength of his struggles is much the same as Naruto's in that dreaded fight from so long ago.

But as before with Naruto, Arashi does not let go....

Sasuke realizing that this man was holding him, fought. He pushed, hit, screamed obscenities...did all he could to aggravate Arashi. To annoy him, to make the elder blonde hate him,

Arashi does not let go.

Punching hard with chakra induced fists as painful memories of his family roar into his head. Sasuke struggles with the feelings of betrayal. Ranting and raging about it against Arashi's shirt.

The elder blonde still does not let go...

“Why? Why would you want to be my father? After all I did to Konoha and Naruto! WHY!”

Pushing the youth away, but keeping a restraining and gentle arm upon his shoulders, Arashi looks down into the frightened and yet hopeful eyes of a young man, whose newly returned and fragile innocence reached out for comfort and reassurance.

“Because you need me.” Arashi answered simply. “Just as much as Naruto does Sasuke...my new son. You need me. What you have done is the past, you were frightened and alone trying to protect those precious to you from harm. I know from what others have told me you could have killed my son many times. But you always pulled back.... I don't think you want to hurt anybody Sasuke. I think you just want back what was taken from you...”

“What...” Sasuke said quietly. Not daring to hope, as Arashi looks at him with warmth and affection that he has missed for many years. “I don't understand...”

“Control...your brother took that away from you Sasuke. He took that away from you so that you would become what he wanted.” Arashi answered with a kind smile. “He took any choice of what you might have become away. Stay with me and Naruto, Sasuke; allow me to take you into my family. Allow me to adopt you as my son...

The child that was lost long ago looks out at the blonde man from behind pained dark eyes. They search the blue for any hints of lying or betrayal that he has grown accustomed to and almost expects, for what he ahs endured for so long.

But he finds none....

“You would really...really become my father?”

Saying nothing, Arashi holds Sasuke close to him once more. The simple movement means more than the actual words, as this time Sasuke can't help but respond to that gentle warm light Arashi is offering, much like in the dream he had, where he felt at home and at peace...

Crying, Sasuke just holds on to Arashi with all his might. The dark youth giving into something he has desired for so long grieves for what he has lost and for the joy of what he has gained.

The Uchihas lost their lives protecting him....

The Uzamakis are offering theirs to save him...
