Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ A Long Forgotten Survivor ❯ Takara appears ( Chapter 1 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

A long forgotten survivor

A door opened and a girl entered the dark room. The room was almost pitch black with only one window which was covered in a thick black curtain. The only light came from the slivers of the sun's rays peeking through the sides of the curtain. The only furniture in the room was a thin mattress on the floor, an old dresser with a chipped mirror, and a dusty old half-broken closet. The girl that entered had black hair with a tint of olive green, and eyes that were a deep golden brown. She seemed to be around 13 years old. And although she looked beaten and tired, her eyes seemed alive and ready for anything. With a yawn she removed her sweater, laid on the mattress and seemed to fall asleep instantly. After a few moments or so the air around her started having a blue tinge and she quickly jerked awake in a sitting position, then disappeared.

Sasuke was standing in a desert landscape with Kakashi not far to his left. He seemed beat and seriously tired.

"Come on Sasuke. That's not really all you've got, is it?" Kakashi asked all the while turning his head around to see a girl, the same one as before, standing on a boulder not far behind him.

"What do you want and what are you doing here?" She asked angrily, standing in a defense position ready to attack.

"Well, well, if it isn't Takara."

I knew his chakra seemed familiar. I should have known it was Kakashi. But for some reason, the other guy's chakra seems familiar as well. But I've never seen him before. She was angry at herself for not understanding that.

"What are you doing here? There don't seem to be any other ninja around." Takara asked confused, but still not leaving her angry tone of voice.

"There aren't any other ninja, you're right. And I was just helping Sasuke here train." He answered in his usual carefree way.

"You mean, you're not here to get me?"

"No. Actually, if you didn't just show yourself, I would have never known you were here."

"Darn!!" She murmured under her breath. Then, with her voice loud enough for them to hear her, she said, "Well then, I got to go." And with that, she vanished.

"Who was that?" Sasuke asked.

"A girl your age who ran away from the village when she was eleven."

"Why did she run away? And how do you know her?"

"I was one of the ninja that were sent to retrieve her before she ran away. As to why she did it, I don't know."

The sun was setting over the horizon in the same landscape as before. Kakashi and Sasuke were still standing there. Sasuke, looking even more tired than before, was panting heavily.

"Go home now. Come back here tomorrow to continue your training." Kakashi ordered Sasuke who reluctantly turned around, with his hands in his pockets, and walked away. After Sasuke continued home, Kakashi vanished and reappeared on top of a boulder looking down on where he and Sasuke were just standing. To his right stood a surprised Takara who immediately shook the shock from her face and stood in a defense position. Takara watched Sasuke perform his chidori and was attempting the same thing right before Kakashi interrupted her.

"The chidori is a concentration of chakra to the hand strong enough to see. And I don't think you will ever be able to master it." Kakashi said mater of factly.

"A concentration of chakra? Why didn't you say so?" And with that, the chidori started forming in the palm of Takara's hand. But it wasn't what you'd call a chidori for there was no sound. It was a silent chidori. When it gained its full strength Takara punched a boulder standing behind her and Kakashi. The rock disintegrated. By the time the ashes and dust settled down, Takara was no longer there.

A strange tingling sensation forced Takara to wake up. She sat up on her mattress while rubbing her forehead.

They're still here. Well, I should use that to my advantage to learn more about the other ninja with Kakashi. I don't understand it, but he seems familiar for some reason.

She walked over to the dresser and looked at the mirror. "I'm a mess." was all she said while she walked out of the room she was in. There was a fridge, a table, and a door leading to the outside. She sighed and walked over to the fridge. It was empty.

I knew I should have gone to buy some food yesterday. O well, I'll deal with that later.

She closed the fridge and walked over to the door leading to the outside. Takara squinted as she opened it, allowing the blinding light to hit her face, then walked out to face the day.

Sasuke was running at Kakashi, seemingly trying to attack him. But Kakashi stopped him in mid run and said, "What do you want now?" not looking at Sasuke but toward a boulder to the right.

"What's your name?" Takara asked walking out from behind the boulder, directing her question to Sasuke. A neutral look on her face.

"What's it to you?"

"Sasuke isn't it? Last survivor of the Uchiha clan, out to seek revenge on his brother…Itachi. Am I right?" She asked with a far away look on her face.

"How would you know all that? I never saw you in my life!" Sasuke asked angrily, expecting an answer.

"I have my ways." Was all she gave away. But before he could say anything more, she continued. "Let's have a fight. Me against you, right now. Are you up for it?" She asked looking serious.

"What would either of us get out of this fight?" Sasuke asked questioningly.

"I would get some of the information I want. You, on the other hand, will find out if you really are the strongest of shinobi. That is what you want, isn't it?"

"Fine then. I'll fight."

"Perfect." She whispered without smiling. But surprisingly, she didn't take up a defense position, she just stood there waiting for Sasuke to make his move.

Sasuke activated his sharingan and started running from side to side toward her.

Wow. He really is fast. She thought staying on the alert.

Sasuke jumped up to try to kick Takara from above. As he was coming down she ducked and kicked him in the stomach. He flipped in the air and landed on his feet, but then he coughed blood. He wasn't sure what to expect, but at least now he knew that he had to be more careful. She was actually pretty good. He started running circles around her.

I have to watch out. My eyes can't keep up with his speed. I gotta concentrate on his chakra now, that's the only way. As she was thinking that, she closed her eyes. When she jerked them open, she had caught Sasuke's hand. She then blocked his other attacks from the back and side. But then, he caught her off guard and kicked her in the back, causing her to stumble forward.

He jumped back and without hesitating threw a few shuriken at her. She quickly pulled out her katana and blocked the shuriken. She spun around just in time to see him coming back at her. She attempted to slash him, but he dodged the blade's tip. Takara smirked, her eyes now had a blue color mixing in with her normal brown, and Sasuke bled from the gash that he supposedly 'dodged'. He took a closer look at her blade. Chakra was surrounding it like smoke, giving the blade an extra foot not only in length, but in width as well.

Takara then vanished, reappearing behind him. Sasuke jumped back and dodged the hilt of the sword that was going to jab him in the back. They were now standing about ten feet away from each other. She lifted her hand and five blue kunai flew towards Sasuke. How can she do that. Sasuke wondered, but he dodged one kunai and blocked the others with his own kunai. Every kunai he hit disintegrated instead of falling to the ground. But what he didn't notice was that the one he dodged turned around, and before he knew it, he was scratched in the leg.

Why can't I detect any of her jutsus? I should have been able to see everything she does. But why couldn't I? Sasuke was wondering.

Sasuke started to feel more tired than he was. As he was standing there Takara, although she was standing far, was sucking away his chakra giving it to herself. Sasuke jumped to the side, cutting off what she was doing, and started the hand signs to begin his chidori. Takara braced herself. Sasuke started running toward her, and as he was moving his hand to hit her, she jumped up. But she was too late, although she jumped; he still managed to hit her leg. So when she landed, she found it hard to apply wait to her left leg. Sasuke saw his chance and put a kunai to her throat and said, "The fight's over. I won." He was going to remove his kunai when she started yelling saying, "NO!! This will not happen! I'm not gonna loose! I will find out who I am!"

Suddenly, blue fumes started emitting from Sasuke, hardening then rapping around him like ropes, not allowing him to escape. Takara was shocked when this happened and looked down at the palms of her hands. She then tightened them to form fists, and walked over to Sasuke who was struggling to get free. "Who's the winner now?" She asked looking down at him seriously. "Don't pronounce a fight over until your su---" She didn't have time to finish her sentence.

**A younger looking Takara was sitting on a bench with her chin resting on her knees that were pulled in toward her. You could see traces of water lining her checks starting from her eyes, proving that she was crying. She was looking ahead of her into the rain. It was raining hard and the only reason that she wasn't wet was because of the wooden canopy above her head. A young Sasuke came and sat beside her and said, "What's wrong Takara? Why are you so sad?" She just looked at him, smiled and said, "I'm not sad." She then jumped off the bench, ran into the rain, and splashed Sasuke. He ran after her to splash her back…**

The chakra ropes binding Sasuke suddenly broke.
Shock was written all over Takara's face. She was pointing at Sasuke while mumbling incoherent words. She stumbled a few steps back before she sat down suddenly. Before anyone could take into account what happened, Takara was gone.
