Who is that girl? Sakura wondered to herself. She's so mysterious. You can't even see her face.

 

Takara was walking around 4 meters ahead of the other 3 shinobi, still wearing her cloak and hood.

 

"Naruto, you said that you've seen her before. Who is she?" Sakura asked Naruto.

 

"Umm…I don't know who she is. I just saw her fight." Naruto glanced toward the girl nervously.

 

"How about you Sasuke? Do you know who she is?" Sakura smiled sweetly as she asked.

 

Sasuke just shrugged and continued walking. Could she be that girl I fought in the desert?

 

The girl suddenly stopped and outstretched her arms to the side, revealing Takara's angled black and red shirt, blue pants, and katana. Her arms also made the ninja stop in their place. She turned her head sideways to look at them and said seriously, "Someone's following us."

 

It's her! Sasuke realized.

 

"How do you know?" Sakura questioned.

 

"I'm just warning you. So don't be surprised if we get attacked. Let's keep going." Takara turned around and was walked a few steps.

 

"Hey! You there! Who suddenly made you the boss? We don't even know you and you expect us to believe and do everything you say?" Naruto demanded.

 

Before he could get an answer, 12 ninja suddenly surrounded them.

 

Takara pulled out her katana and everyone got ready to fight.

 

"Give us the scroll and we'll leave you alone." One of the opposing ninja said.

 

His answer was a bunch of blue kunai spiraling towards him from Takara body. He was caught of guard and blood poured from several holes in his body. He died and the fight started.

There were only two enemy ninja left standing. The one Takara was fighting dashed around her, aiming for Sasuke. He must have realized that Sasuke has the scroll. She noted.

 

The ninja threw two shuriken at Sasuke's back. As Sasuke turned around to try and dodge the shuriken, Takara appeared in front of him and took the blow instead, getting two gashes on her stomach. She then stabbed the approaching ninja, causing him and his partner to retreat.

 

"Why did you do that?" Sasuke asked.

 

Takara coughed blood and for the first time, she smiled. With a far away look on her face, her hood fell back and she quietly said, "I remembered…" She lifted her left hand to her left ear. On her ear was a stud earring in the shape of the Uchiha clan symbol.

 

 

 

 

 

Sakura and Naruto were confused, shocked, and didn't get what was going on. They looked at each other questioningly. But Sasuke also remembered…

 

 

*** Knock. Knock. Knock, came the sound of rapping on the door.

 

"Coming." Sasuke's mother walked towards the door and opened it.

 

A Jonin was standing with a little girl to his right. The girl had a sad and far away expression on her face.

 

"I'm sure you remember that the hokage asked of you to take care of this girl until he can find her a permanent home." The Jonin told Mikoto.

 

"Of course." She answered while ushering the girl in and closed the door behind her.

 

"Welcome. What's your name little girl?" Mikoto smiled sweetly.

 

"Takara." Was all the girl said.

 

"Well then, let me introduce you to the entire family. Fugaku, Sasuke, Itachi, come here." She called for them.

 

When they came, Sasuke smiled at her and waved. Takara waved and smiled back, although you could tell that she was still sad.

 

"Takara this is Sasuke. He's as old as you are. And this is Itachi." She said, pointing to each one as she introduced him.

 

"Sasuke, you give her this." She said handing a box to Sasuke.

 

He nodded and handed it to Takara. When she opened it, she saw that they were stud earrings of the Uchiha clan symbol. She smiled happily and said, "Thank you."

 

"It's a welcome gift. Why don't you all go and get to know each other?" Mikoto said. ***

 

Sakura and Naruto were extremely confused, while Sasuke was staring at Takara trying to understand what he just saw.

 

"I'm hungry, why don't we rest and eat here for the night." Naruto asked.

 

They all nodded in agreement.
