Chapter 3: My First Day as a Kunoichi

 

Sakura and the newly named Naruko walk down the street moments after leaving Lord Tsunade's office. Naruko, not being in Sexy Jutsu form more than a few seconds, wonders about being a girl; hands on the back of her head while glancing skyward. Sakura, giving her left arm a few rubs, awkwardly gawks at her. It is obvious she is somewhat embarrassed to be with her, since she knows she is actually a he.

“Sakura, I've been thinking.”

Sakura giggles a bit at his comment. “That's a first,” she jokes. The moment afterward, she notices something. “Uh, Naruko, you didn't add the `-chan' after my name.”

Naruko grimly glances at her. “No offence, Sakura, I've no long feel like adding it when I say your name.”

Sakura smiles a bit. It is an awkward smile due to mixed fillings. She enjoyed the fact that Naruko has no interest in her, yet a bit annoyed from the respect.

“So, Naruko, what were you thinking about?”

Naruko returns her glance skyward and smiles. “First, regardless of my gender, I'm still going to be Hokage someday.”

“I'm sure you're going to be a Ho-kage, Naruko,” Sakura mumbles under her breath.

Naruko glances at her again. “Huh? You say something, Sakura?”

After flinching, Sakura makes an anxious expression on her face while waving her hand in front of her crest. “Oh, it's nothing, Naruko. Nothing at all,” she laughs nervously. After saying it, she then thinks about Lord Tsunade. Doing that makes her blush from embarrassment. “Crap. Our current Hokage is also female. I… I can't believe I'd made such a vile joke.”

“Hey! Sakura!” shouts Naruko. Sakura blinks trice. She turns to see Naruko… about five meters ahead of her. “What're you waiting for?”

Sakura sprints towards him. “Sorry.” She slows down to a walk upon reaching her side. They started to start walking together again. “Second,” Naruko continues, “I believe I could be a great kunoichi.”

“Is that so?” Sakura is a bit unsettled at that statement. Naruko is nothing more than a female version of Naruto, but Sakura considers that to be somewhat disturbing.

“Finally, and most importantly,” Naruko grins, “I know understand why you and Ino like Sasuke so much. He's hot.”

Sakura stops again as shock and awe overtakes her entire being. She can't believe her ears. It is too soon for Naruko to be attracted to a boy; Sasuke specifically.

Naruko turns to look at Sakura, who is now infuriated from the news. “Naruko!” she grumbles.

Naruko gives her a small smile. “No offense, Sakura, you don't deserve someone like him.”

“Don't give me that crap! I've been chasing after him for years! That's not way I'm gonna let you, someone who isn't actually a girl, take him from me!”

Naruko doesn't react at Sakura's rage. Instead, she simply turns around and walks away. “As Naruto, I'd be scared of you. However,” she smirks over her should at Sakura, “I'd lost my fear of you once I became Naruko.” She waves at the now confused kunoichi. “If you wanna fight me for him, you know where to find me. See ya later, Sakura.”

Sakura gawks with an immense amount of confusion. “What the hell happened?”

As Naruko walks home, a mysterious ninja stalks her. He is not from the Hidden Leaf Village, but knows a lot about the dangerous Nine-tail Fox demon within her. “This time, I shall not fail.”

 

Things are about to heat up. Just wait till the next chapter. It will have the first fully described fight of this fan fiction arc.
