Opening his eyes, Naruto was stunned at the sight before him, Sasuke was standing over the body of Haku a haunted look in his eyes. Kakashi-sensei stood with a fist punching a hole through Zabuza's chest, blood spattered everywhere. Sakura knelt in shock at the grotesque scene before her.

“hey loser, are you okay?” Sasuke had walked over to Naruto a smirk on his face. “man I am surprised you even graduated from the academy. Youre supposed to be ready to expect anything. `a ninja must see through deception.'” He chuckled. “dobe.”

Naruto glared at Sasuke. “yeah well like I care.” Getting up Naruto and Sasuke walked over to Kakashi-sensei who was cleaning off the blood all over his hands.

“good job Sasuke you finally achieved the Sharingan. Sakura I am proud of you. You stayed with Tazuna just like I said.” At this praise Sakura jumped up and down with glee, while Kakashi and Sasuke started talking about the pros and cons of the sharingan.

Naruto looked downtrodden for a few seconds before he began to pull out senbon needles from his body with a bored expression on his face. He toned out Kakashi-sensei's praise for Sasuke and Sakura. Kakashi-sensei doesn't think I am good at anything, maybe it's true maybe I am just a dropout. Naruto thought as he followed the others back to Tazuna's house. Halfway back he fell over in a dead faint.

As the days went by, Sasuke noticed the change in Naruto's attitude when ever he was conscious. He seemed more sullen and not as happy as usual. Naruto wasn't healing as quickly as Kakashi-sensei had hoped and Naruto spent more time unconscious than anything else. If the team waited for the bridge to be finished before heading home, Naruto might not have a chance. Using a two way radio, Kakashi contacted Konoha asking them to send the quickest team of medics to come and take Naruto back to the village. The others would stay until the bridge was finished and Kakashi could help Sasuke with his sharingan. He really was worried for Naruto he had been unconscious for the last week.
