An A Ranked Mission
Journey to the Village Hidden in the Sand!
“Naruto! Don't do it! You don't have enough Chalkra!” Li yelled at Naruto controlling. The sand village genin were looming closer and closer, along with a purple haze. However it was hot… really hot, and every one seemed to be having hallucinations. “If you do your Shadow Clone Jutsu, you'll pass out!”Li beginning yelling at Naruto.
“BE QUITE! Stop telling me what I can and can't do… ok?” Naruto was frustrated, after the last fight he had become severely injured and the heat annoyed him.
“Stop being such a fool! There are other people here besides you!” Sasuke tried to knock some sense into him by yelling across the sandy distance that was between them.
Naruto wasn't in the mood to listen, however he was increasingly aware of thick amounts of red liquid flowing like a river from his upper arm. In the end, he didn't even have time to begin the Jutsu. His vision became fuzzy, almost like a cloudy dream that overtook his eyes. Naruto fell strait backwards, only a little sand escaping as his body hit the ground with a thud. That was the temporary end of his consciousness.

Kakashi's eyes stared at the paper in disbelief, the letter stuck out strangely on the page. An A ranked mission… but my team are only Genin. He began to read the description of the assignment.
Mission Ranking: A Level
Instructions: Go to the village hidden in
The sand and retrieve the scroll of
Death and betrayal, assassinate any
One who stands in your way?
Kakashi skipped the rest of the stuff he wasn't interested in reading. A ranked mission, I am glad Sakura isn't involved with this. But why send people who aren't even on the same teams? The sand village is merciless, there's no way that Naruto and Sasuke will survive that. “I must go with them” Kakashi whispered to himself.
“That will not be necessary” The third Hokoge entered the room “I am quite certain that the selected Genin will be able to complete this mission in an orderly fashion”. Kakashi Stared at the Hokage.
“Are you sure?” Kakashi questioned solemnly, he was not ready to send his part of his team on what seemed like a ridiculous mission.
“I am very certain that the members of your team will do just fine” the Hokage's voice rang with reinsurance that made Kakashi believe Sasuke and Naruto could do it.

“Naruto” Hinata ran towards his limp body, the other genin stayed put. She slid down beside him sending sand everywhere; sitting in a kneeling beside him she shook him gently. “Wake up… please wake up…”
The immense heat had gotten to Tenten's head as well, for she began believing that the sand village genin were upon Hinata and Naruto. In one swift and simple movement she had sent a kuwani knife strait at what she believed to be her enemy. Tenten watch as the kuwani gathered the sunlight and reflected it off like a mirror, then she realized he mistake. Unfortunately the kuwani hit its target.
A soundless noise escaped from Hinata's mouth as she fell to the ground beside Naruto, a kuwani sticking strait out of her back. Blood trickled down her shirt and out her mouth staining the once perfectly yellow sand; Hinata was unconscious on the ground.
“Tenten! What have you done?” Li began to panic, the heat retching all the corners of his brain.
“I didn't … mean to” Tenten's voice was very shaken “I really didn't, I didn't… I didn't mean to”
“That's enough! Get it together you guys!” Sasuke tried to calm every one down “Since none of us are in the condition to run, or pretty much do anything lets make a basic defense formation around Hinata and Naruto.” Sasuke glances at the others, no one could stand up to an opponent now they were all tired and scratched up from the last battle.
The group swiftly followed Sasuke's lead; they made a defense formation around the two limp bodies.
“I see a flaw in your plan Sasuke…currently we are sitting ducks for any enemy that attacks us.” Negi pointed out the obvious.
“I know Negi, as soon as you have a better idea feel free to share it with everyone” Sasuke replied with a tint of annoyance in his voice. “Tenten, do you still have an eye on are opponents?”
“No I don't… but there's some kind of fog approaching very quickly, its only about ten yards away.” Tenten sounded unusually calm. Sasuke turned around breaking the formation he looked at the misty purple fog.
“Its poison gas…” Sasuke said solemnly“if you breathe it in for more then ten minutes you… well, let's just say we shouldn't do that. If you even inhale it more than once, it means instant black out for more than a couple days.” Sasuke tried to remain calm, but a hint of panic showed in his voice. “Looks like you all better hold your breath, and hope it gets caught in a draft and blows away.”
No one had time to argue, they were all taking in large breaths for the purple haze was upon them. It surrounded them in seconds; it was so thick that Tenten could barely see Li even though he was right beside her. Seconds went by like hours, and a minute seemed like an entire day. The fog wasn't going away.
The Eire silence was broken by the noises of Tenten coughing and then gasping for air. The outburst was followed by crumpling noises; Tenten fell hardly to the ground. This was followed by even more deathly silence.
“Tenten” Li uttered then collapsed to the ground.
Now it was just Sasuke and Negi standing. If I try my spinning Byaju-gon it might send this smoke away, and if it doesn't… well it won't matter anyway. Negi thought as he attempted the Jutsu, it did not succeed. Half way through the Jutsu he ran out of Chalkra. Some of the smoke flew into the air…along with Sasuke. Flying ten feet in the air, then falling back to the ground, landing on his ankle and began gasping for air as well.
