Summary: It is said that of the Nine Greater Demons, Kyuubi Kitsune is the strongest. However, there are really ten demons and they are ruled by the Juubi(ten-tails). When one of them is sent to release Kyuubi from his container, trouble ensues. [NaruKyuu - shounen-ai]

 

Notes: I think two people had questions/comments in their review that I thought I should respond to. Firstly, Kyuubi and Naruto are definitely going to end up together. That's why it's a NaruKyuu fic. Also, Naruto will not get all `wimpy girly'. It's way too OOC. Secondly, someone mentioned that they thought Kyuubi would be more sensual. Well… I don't really see him that way.

-- `Baba' is a rude suffix/rude way to address an elderly lady. `Jiji' is the same, only for elderly men.

 

Super Special Fun Fact: Uzumaki means whirlpool and naruto is a type of steamed fishcake.

Chapter Three

A New Mission?

 

“What's wrong with you, fox?!” Naruto was angry. Kyuubi hadn't talked to him all morning.

“Nothing is wrong with me, stupid brat.”

“You're obviously lying…”

Kyuubi shrugged as he stepped out the door. “Whatever.”

“Where are you going?”

“Tsunade-baba wants to see me. She said to bring you and Nibi-chan as well, so I'm going to go get her. See you there.”

“Hnn…”

“Sakura-chan! You were called here too?” Naruto asked, bounding over to Sakura.

“Yes. It seems Tsunade-shishou has called for you, Kakashi-sensei, Kyuubi, Nibi-san, and me. I think she has a mission for us.”

The two of them then stood in Tsunade's office with Tsunade herself and Tsunade's attendant, Shizune, waiting for the others. Kakashi was always late but they were more concerned about Nibi. At least Sakura was.

“Sorry I'm late, everyone,” Kakashi appeared in a puff of white smoke.

“Don't worry about it,” Tsunade sighed.

Just as Tsunade spoke those words, they could hear a loud crash in the hallway followed by someone screaming. “A mission?! There's no fucking way I'm doing a mission!”

“I'm just guessing! I don't know if there's a mission.”

“Then shut your bitchin' mouth!”

“It seems Nibi-san has arrived…” Sakura laughed nervously.

Nibi burst through the door, dragging Kyuubi by the back of the shirt. Her face was reddish and she was having trouble walking straight.

Noticing Naruto, Kakashi, and Tsunade's puzzled looks, Sakura decided to explain. “Well, this morning, Nibi-san had really bad menstrual cramps so I offered her some sake and she just… kept drinking…”

Not being able to take anymore of this commotion, Tsunade stood up and tied Nibi to a chair in the corner, using special ninja wire. “That should hold her for a while.”

“Untie me, bitch!” Nibi screamed.

“Anyway, the reason you all have been summoned here if because I have a mission for you. You see—“

“Why am I a part of this?” Kyuubi interrupted.

“Just shut up and listen! Now, as I was saying, our ally, the Hidden Village of Sand, was attacked just two days ago. According to their Kazekage, Gaara, they were attacked by one of the Nine Greater Demons. They obviously don't know why and I'm sending you five to find out why.

Sand is unable to send any ninja of their own because they are afraid of another attack. That's why we have to help them. I'm not sure of all the details so I'm going to send you all over there. But you won't be leaving for a couple days. I still have things that need to be sorted out.”

Shizune stepped forward proudly. “I will be escorting you so I can obtain as much information as possible then relay it back to Tsunade-sama.”

“That's right. And the reason Nibi and Kyuubi need to come is: you two simply can't be here for a `visit' and I don't want you two hanging around much longer.”

“Don't I feel loved,” Kyuubi said.

“I'm so happy! My parents are going to be gone all next weekend,” Ino said happily. She was eating ramen at the Ichiraku Ramen stand with Sakura and Naruto. “So I was thinking it would be good to have a party then.”
“That's great idea!” Sakura smiled mischievously.

“I know, isn't it?”

When Naruto didn't respond to this, the girls took it as their duty to get him to come. “Naruto, what do you think? Wanna go?”

“I don't know…”

Ino winked at Sakura and the pink-haired girl knew exactly what to say. “So, Ino, what are thinking of wearing? I'm thinking of wearing a mini-skirt!” Sakura said putting extra emphasis on the mini.

Naruto immediately stopped eating to say, “I think I'll go after all.”

“Gah! Dammit!” Kyuubi shouted angrily, putting his index finger in his mouth. He began to suck on it as if that would ease the pain.

“That's the fourth time you've burnt yourself, fox,” Naruto said from the other room.

“Shut up! Do you want your curry or not?”

“Yeah, yeah, whatever.”

After much cussing and banging of pots and pans, Kyuubi finally finished. They say down to eat. Naruto stared at his plate a long time before picking up his fork. The rice was looking suspiciously black. How the hell do you burn rice? Kyuubi had even bought one of those `rice for dummies' bags.

“It tastes like shit…” Naruto muttered under his breath, half-hoping his roommate would here.

Kyuubi's fox ears shot up in anger. “If you don't like it, then don't eat it, jackass!”

Once again, Naruto had that bizarre urge to touch those fuzzy ears…

Notes: That was not a very good chapter. It was also short. I can't think of anything to say but I've been really stressed lately and that I didn't get everything out of this chapter as I should have. Don't worry, though, the next chapter will definitely be longer and better.
