They moved silently he and naruto locking on the target. Suddenly a rustle and crack of a twig drew his attention. This resulted in one of them tripping over the bomb kakashi had set up for their mock training. As the smoke cleared he ignored the coughing and tried to pinpoint the location. They weren't alone in the clearing anymore. It probably wasn't a ninja nor spy. They would have not been heard. A civilian perhaps he mused. Using hand signals sasuke directed naruto to stay in position while checking the area. Nothing seemed out of place, although the woods were quiet.

"Over here." A compelling hand waved from the left side.

Curious he moved closer for a look. His first impression was that of a wooden body. What? Trying to discern the features he realized the individual had a kerchief that allowed them to breathe easily. Their clothing was black, perfect for hiding.

"What are you doing here?" The sharp tone had his head snapping up. "This is my village."

"You own it?"

"I live here." He amended quickly. "It's my duty as a ninja to question your actions, especially as a stranger and a potential danger."

He or she waved vaguely. "I'm sure. Carry on with your training."

"I'm afraid you don't quite understand. We need to take you in for questioning." Kakashi stepped out from hiding.

"Hmm? Oh kakashi just the person i was looking for."

Sasuke knew his own face mirrored the surprise of naruto who'd snuck up whilst they were conversing. Kakashi however had more control over his own face and except for a flicker in his eye nothing betrayed his thoughts.

"How prey tell do you know me?"

"You're notorious as the copy ninja. The rest is history. Not all that hard to figure out honestly. If you'll excuse me."

Kakashi had moved forward halfway anticipating their thoughts but he was unprepared for the disappearance. The experience left him astounded and a little shaken. Someone that talented was bound to be either troublesome or powerful or both.

Sasuke noted the training session was no longer proceeding, in fact kakashi escorted them back in to the safety of the village.
Sasuke chuckled quietly as he walked to school still thinking of that person. He spotted naruto with a puzzled look on his face. Odds were he still didn't know who that was. Actually neither did sasuke but then he or she acted familiar with them. Probably from the village he decided.

"Naruto."

"Sasuke!! Naruto!! Wait up."

Naruto had turned at the sound of Sakura's voice. Sasuke waited patiently for them to catch up.

"Was that you guys this morning?"

He stopped in shock, did Sakura know something he didn't? Naruto snapped his fingers. "That's it!!" He crowed happily. "You're that woman!!!"

"Woman?" He didn't realize the question had slipped out until naruto addressed it.

"Yea, the voice was female. Don't you know the difference?"

His cheeks heated slightly but he replied," I didn't know you were so attuned to the intonation of females much less sakura's." It was naruto's turn to blush. He was saved from answering when their mentor appeared.
