Uh... I've been gone for a while, and I know I haven't written any Cowboy Bebop stuff in a really long time, but I can't finish them. I've lost all interest and ideas...
But! I'm very interested in Naruto, and I have a lot of ideas, and I've planned as far as an ending, give or take a few details.
Disclaimer: I do not own the Naruto series in anime form or manga form, I do not own the characters, locations, or jutsus in Naruto. Those things all belong to: Masashi Kishimoto. This story was not created for profit.
Summary: Orochimaru has big plans for Konoha. Sending Sasuke to deliver these plans sounds endangering to Orochimaru, but when done properly, could turn the tides against Konoha and make the Snake King victorious.

It was dark. It was always dark. Every ninja from the Hidden Sound Village was sickly pale because of this. If they weren't ghostly pale, they were either hired mercenaries or their skin was a natural discoloration from the norm of this shinobi village.
The Hidden Sound Village was truly hidden. Beneath a mostly normal city laid the underground village of the Snake King. It had taken many years to construct, but this ninja town was hard to find, therefore hard to attack. The walls were packed tight, some were reinforced with brick and rock, others were more cleverly infested with deeply rooted vines that kept the dirt walls at bay. Pillars lined the city, and every building touched the ceiling. The village was not bright and cheerful and children did not live down in the darkness. The village above, Resonant, provided good cover. It was a boring, non-suspicious, backwater town with average people living in it. Resonant not only provided cover, but they provided new recruits for the Hidden Sound Village. When children reached the age of 13, if they had any promise in becoming shinobi, they would be trained. Resonant didn't give their children away for free though. It was such a small town that could easily be over run, so Orochimaru promised them safety. Resonant was filled with pale faced nobody's.
"Ah, Sasuke-kun." Orochimaru's scratched voice echoed. His pale face glowed green and then blue as he stood near a pillar lined with glowing bugs.
"Aa," was the only reply from the darkness.
"I have a special mission for you," Orochimaru rumbled with a low chuckle. He could see the shadowed figure move in the dark as if sitting to listen more carefully. "I need you to go to Konoha, I need this delivered to the Hokage-sama." He grinned wide holding up a scroll.
Silence passed, only the echo of foots steps as the scroll was taken.
"We'll discuss the details then." Orochimaru's grin turned blue, then green.
Konoha, despite the recent years being rather dangerous, was still a light and happy place. the community worked hard to keep their children smiling and safe. The streets were always busy and mostly everyone was happy. It was actually a rather prosperous moment for the Hidden Leaf Village.
Bent low at the waist arms tucked at her sides, "I've finished, the patient will be fine Tsunade-sama." Haruno Sakura stood straight.
Brown eyes stared intensely from behind a huge desk. Tsunade leaned forward resting her chin in her hands, her large breasts squeezing between them barely, "Good, I trust you did well, you're done for the day."
Sakura sighed with relief, she had treated several patients today and needed to relax. "Thank you, Tsunade-sama," She bowed briefly before turning on her heal and walking out to get some of that relaxation she had thought about. As she walked she pulled her forehead protector from her hair, then she tugged the ponytail down snapping the elastic around her wrist. As she reached the exit to the building, she stopped to tie her forehead protector back to it's normal place.
Sakura was now about 17, she kept her light pink hair short finding it easier to manage. She had grown taller but most of her classmates had surpassed her in hight. Her teal colored eyes squinted with a smile seeing Naruto run waving through the streets crowds. "Sakur~a-chan!" He smiled so happily as he ran towards her, she smiled back.
Naruto stopped with a skid, bent over resting his hands at his knees he caught his breath before standing straight to her, "Come eat at Ichiraku's with me."
Sakura nodded. Naruto had grown, he was now taller than her. She had also noted how he matured, he was still the same Naruto, but he was stronger not only in body but in mind.
"I just got paid so I'll treat you today," his grin widened. "Like a date!"
Sakura twitched before giving him a set of knuckles to the back of the head, "I'll let you treat me but it's NOT a date!" Her teeth were still clenched tight as she stared at him.
Rubbing his head, "Ok, ok..."
The kunoichi's eyes softened towards him. She had grown more fond of him, but she still had her heart set on another. She realized that Naruto would probably one day be hurt, but she also knew he would bounce back, he wasn't the type to dwell on anything.
The Leaf Village was busy this time of day. Most were coming home from work or stopping to shop for dinner. Eating at Ichiraku Ramen was a luxury no other village had. Even Sakura had to admit the ramen was amazing. Naruto swore by it, if it were up to him he would eat at the stall three times a day seven days a week.
The meal was delicious as always. They didn't talk about serious work. Neither wanted to be reminded of their lost comrade or of the danger the village seemed to be in. During times like these they didn't want to be burdened with the thought of Orochimaru, or even with Akastuki. This was a peaceful moment they had to enjoy while they still could.
When the meal was over Naruto did in fact treat Sakura, he even walked her home. He had turned into a gentlemen, at least a little. She was happy to get along with him, he was more reliable then she ever thought possible.
"Good night, Naruto," she waved.
"Aa! Oyasumi nasai, datte bayo!" He waved good bye.
Sakura turned the dial on her radio, it was quiet in her new apartment and she wasn't yet comfortable with living alone. The pink haired girl couldn't imagine how Naruto did it even as a child. The radio played a familiar song and she hummed to it while getting ready for a shower. Tomorrow she had to go on missions and she knew Tsunade-sama would not not be any less tough. With a long day ahead she would go to bed early tonight.
Well, That's all for this chapter. Find out what Orochimaru has planned by continuing to read!
