First Naruto fic. Haven't read much. Hope I get the Jutsu's right.

Sasuke: You're rambling

Psh… Who cares?

Naruto: What's the pairing…?

Undecided… Probably something with my OC and her abilities

Naruto: She's cute

Yep… That's her… Sasuke do the honours?

Sasuke: What's in it for me?

Nothing really…. I promise in this fanfic there will be no rabid fangirls and Sakura will die. (crosses fingers behind back)

Sasuke: Perfect… Otaku doesn't own Naruto… She own's her OC… Warnings: Starting ages… Yumiko: 14, Naruto:14… and etc...

Chapter One: Leaving and Returning

Naruto looked at the sky. It has been long, too long. He couldn't stand the pain anymore, the pain the villagers gave him. He had a dream, a dream to become hokage of Konoha and be respected and acknowledged by its' residents. He knew the dream will never be true, hell he could just dream about it right? Sighing, he turned and looked at the village. He had a perfect view from the roof of the apartment. He wondered what it was like to not be hated. To not be lonely.

`Ah, it's time to go see Tsunade-baba.' Naruto thought.

"What?" Tsunade whispered softly.

"Sorry to tell you in such short notice. Like I said before, I want passports to go into other villages. I think it may be time I go on my adventures now like Jeraiya-san."

"Why?" Tsunade's voice was barely audible.

`Because I want to find someone who will love me, not hate me.' Naruto thought.

"I was traveled with Ero-sennin for a while then, and I want to learn more techniques and such. I want to follow Ero-sennin's footsteps, so to speak."

"What about your dream?"

"I will fulfill my dream when I return."

Tsunade cleared her voice. "Ah, I see then. I'll get one for you as soon as possible. But you must promise me you'll come back?"

"Yes and thank you, Hokage-sama. I will see you soon then." He turned around and walked out the door.

`Is this because of the villagers?' the hokage thought tearfully.

"Eh? What's this?" Naruto pulled out a lump that was hidden away in his closet. He was packing for his adventure on the road.

"It's a scroll?" Naruto gazed at the scroll for a few minutes. He shrugged and put it in his bag. He also packed 9 cups of cup ramen. 4 kunai's and 7 shruiken's were hidden in various places of Naruto's jumpsuit.

`Knock knock' Naruto jumped up and raced towards the door. He opened it and there stood the Hokage, Iruka, and Kakashi.

"May we come in?" Tsunade asked politely.

"Umm… Okay, sorry about the mess though." Naruto made his way to his bedroom.

"Ah, I see you have found the scroll." Tsunade said when she stepped into his bedroom. "Don't open it until you feel you're ready." She smiled.

"Okay."

"Oh and by the way, here's your passport." She handed it to him.

"Uh… Thank you." It was an awkward moment, the chuunin and the jounin did not speak. "I will miss you, really I will." Naruto insisted.

He hugged the chuunin tightly, and the chuunin wrapped his arms around Naruto silent tears running down his face. Naruto then hugged Kakashi in a light hug and Kakashi did the same.

"I think I should go now," he mumbled hoisting his bag on his shoulder.

"I'll walk you there," Tsunade replied.

The Next Day

Leaf Village:

"Did you hear? The demon boy left!" One whispered.

"Then let us rejoice! For our fear is gone!" the other responded.

Sasuke just happened to be around when they said that. `Who left?' he thought. Then he trudged to the bridge to wait for his sensei and team mates. He sighed. `Another long day with that bitch who keeps bugging me and dobe.' He looked at the time. `I'm late. But what the hell, Kakashi is always late.' After several minutes, Sasuke arrived at the bridge, only to find Kakashi and Sakura waiting for him.

"Eh? What are you doing here so early? And where is dobe?" He asked Kakashi.

"I'm here to tell you, there will be no missions for the week, so you don't have to meet here anymore until the week after. We're also going to have a new gennin replacing Naruto next week. And as for Naruto, he left."

Silence enveloped the two as they absorbed the information given to them. `3, 2, 1.' Kakashi thought.

"NANI?" Sakura and Sasuke yelled.

"Ow. Are you guys' deaf or something? I just told you that," Kakashi rubbed his hear and paused as he tried to remember his exact words. "Oh whatever, time to read. Bye." He pulled out his Icha Icha Paradise book and turned his back towards the others as he walked out of the forest.

`He left.' The same words coursed through Sakura and Sasuke's mind.

Iruka found himself unable to concentrate as he taught his lessons. Naruto's departure brought him pain. He couldn't grasp the fact that Naruto was just on a "trip" that may take several years. He swallowed and rubbed his temples.

"Class dismissed." He forced out.

The children skipped out of the room. Kakashi shook his head as he came in.

"Look at you, you look so tired." Kakashi mumbled.

"Ah, Kakashi. Naruto could do that to people." Iruka rubbed his temples again.

"That's right. At least he said his goodbye's right?"

"True," Iruka sighed.

A month later

"So this is the Hidden Air Village," Naruto said. It had taken him a month to reach this village. He also mastered the Oboro Bushnin no Jutsu a genjutsu that was used by Rain nin, Then again the jutsu was weak since it can't attack and disappears after one strike. He also mastered the Suirou no Jutsu, Suiton Suijinheki, and the Jouro Senban. Naruto sighed. He showed his passport to the air Anbu and stepped inside the village.

The Hidden Air was nothing like the Hidden Leaf. For one thing, it was much cooler here. The village looked entirely different, although it was quite similar to the Hidden Rain. He walked about the village. He noted that in the center of the village was a monument. Naruto stood at the entrance of the monument for a while. A blur rushed at him coming out from the entrance of the monument. The blur and Naruto fell on the ground due to the harsh impact.

"Itai," Naruto and the blur mumbled.

Naruto gazed at the used to be blur in front of him. It was a girl, around his age. She had long dark chocolate brown hair and crimson eyes. Her bangs covered her pale face. The girl gaped at the boy she was sitting on.

"Oh I'm so sorry. I was just on my way out of the village. You are?" The girl stood up rapidly and offered a hand.

"I'm Uzumaki Naruto." Naruto accepted the offered hand, as the girl pulled him up. "You?"

"Ah! You must be new around here. Hm. A leaf ninja eh? I'm Kei Yumiko. Pleasure to meet you." She answered politely.

"Ah… Kei-san. Would you mind showing me around? I was hoping to stay around for a week or two to brush up on some ninja skills."

"Okay then, a week or two wouldn't hurt. I'll show you around and then how about we spar? I could know which level you're at. And it could be fun." Yumiko said.

"I'm a gennin. You're a ninja too? Where's your headband Kei-san?" Yumiko smiled.

"I see you have failed to noticed your partners state of dress. Please cut the formalities and call me Yumiko-chan."

"Then you might as well call me Naruto-kun." He noticed her clothing, she wore a black tank and pants that were cut at the knee level. There was a symbol on the back of her tank top. Her headband was tied onto her arm. She also wore wrist guards that had the same symbol as she had on the back. The symbol was like a windmill, with a circle in the middle surrounded by 4 smaller circles and another circle around the "windmill". The windmill had lines that looked like wood, and the lines that curved around the windmill looked like the wind the windmill was pushing.

They walked about the village until they came to a forest and inside the forest was a clearing and a lake.

"Uh… Yumiko-chan?" Naruto hesitated.

"Yes, Naruto-kun?" Yumiko eyed Naruto suspiciously.

"What is the symbol on your back stand for?" Naruto blurted out.

Yumiko laughed. "It's just my clan's symbol. Our bloodline limit is the celestial eye and with that comes a lot of other techniques. I have yet mastered it. My clan was assassinated by the sound nin Orochimaru. Enough questions. Let's spar!" Yumiko retreated to a defence postion.

"Odd… I've never even known my clan. I found a scroll in my closet when I left, so I brought it with me." Naruto shrugged and stood in an offence position.

"Kage Bushnin no Jutsu." Beside the original Naruto stood five more Naruto's.

"Attack!" chorused the Naruto's.

Of course Yumiko came out victorious. They stayed there for 3 weeks learning jutsu's from the Hidden Air library and practicing them. Together they left for the adventure that awaited them.

3 years later…

"So, here we are Yumiko-chan. The Hidden Leaf. What do you think?" Naruto asked as he gazed at the gates of Konoha.

"Impressive," she whispered. "I'm hoping to have a permanent stay here, neh Naruto-kun?"

"Hai, stay at my place then." Naruto offered.

"I'll take you up on that." Yumiko winked. Together they approached the Konoha gates.

"Stop right there. Tell us your name and clan, and reason to be here." An Anbu of the leaf demanded.

Naruto nodded at Yumiko. "My name is Kei Yumiko only survivor of the Kei massacre, looking for a permanent stay with my partner here."

Naruto smiled. "My name is Uzumaki Naruto, Yodaime's son, returning from his three year adventure."
