Chapter 1

A New Ally: The Village Hidden in Death

 

 

Tsunade was asleep at her desk. She had been reading through some documents about their most recent missions and fell asleep. She heard a knock on her door and woke up.

“Come in.” she said.

 

Shizune walked in and said “Lord Seireikage is here with his best three ninja to sign the treaty.”

 

“Let them in.” responded Tsunade.

 

Three men and one woman entered. The first was a tall, well built man in the standard kage robe. Behind him were the others. One was a young woman with long black hair and a jonin vest on though it was black instead of the traditional green. She wore her headband as a necklace and on it was the kanji for “death”. The man in the center wore a traditional green jonin vest. He had long black hair tied in a pony tail. He wore his headband in the standard fashion. The third shinobi had long white hair just past his shoulders and wore a red shirt and long black jacket with the forearms ripped off. He wore black fingerless gloves and had arm wrappings on his right forearm.

 

“Hello, Lady Tsunade” said the man in front. “I am Kenzo Toruk, the fourth Seireikage, and these are the best jonin from the village: Adela Akanoji, Ved Akanoji, and Matsuna Sairyu.”

 

Tsunade spoke up at hearing the names, “I've heard a lot about these three. They come from two of your more prominent clans, if I'm not mistaken. Both clans have strong bloodline traits.”

 

Matsuna, the white haired boy, spoke up, “Lady Fifth, is Kakashi Hatake around or is he on a mission?”

 

“He's here. Why do you ask?”

 

“Great! Kenzo you wouldn't mind if I went to say hello, would you? I'm fairly certain Ved and Adela can handle any problems that might arise.”

 

“Of course! Go ahead and say hello.”

 

“Then I guess I'll see you all later.” He waved them goodbye as he jumped out the window and began jumping from rooftop to rooftop.

 

Tsunade asked, with a confused look, “Isn't he even going to ask where he is?”

 

“No, he'll find him. It won't be hard. All he has to do is find his chakra and it will be done. Since his necrogan can see spirits of the dead in chakra, it won't be hard for him to find Kakashi. He's met him before and knows his chakra.”

 

A few minutes later….

 

“Ahh - found him!” Matsuna said. Kakashi was sitting near the village gate. Matsuna jumped to meet him. Kakashi was reading his favorite book, as usual.

 

“Hey, Kakashi! What's up?”

 

Kakashi looked behind him and saw Matsuna. “Hmm. You look familiar, but I can't quite place the name.”

 

“It's Matsuna Sairyu!”

 

“Oh, yes. From the Village Hidden in Death a few years back. I remember. What brings you here…the treaty?”

 

“Yeah. That and two other things. One, I was hoping I'd get a chance to spar with you…”

 

Kakashi cuts him off. “I would, but Lady Fifth has instructed me to test Naruto and Sakura when they return.”

 

“That brings me to the second reason I'm here. You remember how my necrogan can see spirits, right? Well, after you left I met the spirit of someone you might know. Your fourth Hokage. He taught me a couple of tricks and wanted me to ask you how his son was doing. He also wanted me to tell him he was sorry for putting the nine tailed fox on him.”

 

“Naruto should be fine, but don't tell him about the Fourth being his father. I don't know how he'd take it.”

 

“Right. Understood. So where is he?”

 

As Matsuna said this, Naruto and Jiraiya arrived in Hidden Leaf.
