Howdy! What's up people? Greetings aside. This is my most recent installment I just recently got in to Naruto so I'm not really into it yet but it'll happen. Anyway I hope you like it.

Beautiful Sunset

 

In a large room many kids milled a round talking and joking with one another.

“Ahh she's late again” one said.

“Yeah well that's nothing new she's always late” another laughed.

“And we don't even come to her class all that often” a girl sighed.

All of them were students, Jr. Ninja, at the ninja academy in the konohagakure. They were all waiting for their teacher who had grown to their expectations of being late every time they had class.

The door to the class slide open and a young girl stepped in. All of the students found their seats. She yawned and looked at them all from the head of the room. Then she grinned.

“Good morning”

“Haruka sensei it's almost noon” one of them pointed out.

“Oh okay: Good-almost-noon-but-still-morning-no-matter-how-you-look-at-it-day” she grinned again.

“Okay, I get it sheesh.” He mumbled.

“Ahhh” She stretched and shook her head making her braids go in all directions. Almost the whole left side of her head was in braids. Her hair was black and she had beautiful silver eyes.

“Okay because all of you guys are free I've decided to make you all do an endurance exercise.” She grinned at them all menacingly. Some of them shivered.

“This is a twenty four hour thing and you need to try the objective at least once. Lest you fail and-“

“What's the objective?” someone interrupted.

“I was just getting to that, the ob-“

“What's the point of this?”

“Well-“

“What do you win?”

“WOULD YOU ALL SHUT UP AND LET ME TALK!!!” they all fell silent.

“That's better. Okay the objective is to touch this” she held up her wrist, she wore a silver bracelet or her right hand “not easy mind you and you can either work as a team or by your self I don't care and if you do happen to touch it then the prize will be my bracelet I'll give it to the winner. And the point is to teach you guys endurance hence the title `endurance exercise'”

“About the prize, if I were to win I wouldn't want a bracelet” one boy said.

“Hmm okay then how about girls get the bracelet and boys get a kiss.” She smirked, joking, the boys cheered and the girls glared at them. Haruka laughed. `I didn't think I had gotten this popular' she thought.

“Oh and if a team wins I'll take them out to eat and I'm going to tell all of your senseis' how you did. So don't slack off. Okay let's go,” She led them out to a small grove of trees and a lot of under brush.

“Okay go hide, try your hardest to win but don't get too excited, I won't be holding back…very much…okay scatter.” She sat in the middle of the grove with her eyes closed.

A boy started to quietly crawl towards her from the back. He was about two inches away when she jumped up and landed on his back. She patted his head.

“Nice try.” She got off of him.

“Jeez you're heavy.” He rubbed his back.

“Excuse me?” Her eyes flashed.

“You're heavier than most girls your size should be”

“What!?” a vein in her fist pulsed.

“Haru shut up and get back here” One of his teammates shouted from a bush. He ran and dived into the underbrush.

“You'd better hurry up before I go from defense to offence and start attacking you. You see I don't take it to kindly when some one calls me fat.”

“I didn't call you fat I just said you were heav-” A shurikan flew past his cheek and hit a tree behind him.

“Haru I suggest you shut up before you get your self killed.” A female teammate of his pushed him somewhere else. Throughout the day many more tried but failed in their attempts to try and touch the bracelet.

“Come on Sasuke let's go I want ramen!” A boy with spiky blonde hair tried to get one of his teammates in to the action.

“No Naruto not yet we have a plan.” A boy with black hair said agitated by his teammate.

Naruto popped up from the bushes.

“What if you're whole team doesn't help out?”

“Then it's not a team effort, better duck.” many shurikan came flying at him. And an arm pulled him down. “Nice going now she knows exactly where we are.” Sasuke rolled his eyes. They moved somewhere else.

“Come on you need to help me out I was so close once!”

“Would that have been the time she had you flat on your back or the time you got caught in that tree?” Sasuke said referring to his previous attempts. Sakura laughed.

“Oh come on let's go now!” Naruto said quietly.

“Uh…You know we have a plan and if you'd stayed while we were talking you would know why we're waiting.” Sakura looked at him like he was three.

“You should have stayed Blah blah blah.” He muttered under his breath.

The day went on and no one had managed to get close.

`this is starting to get boring' Haruka thought, `I thought they'd be tougher than this…oh well guess I'll just have some fun' She stood from where she sat and made six shadow clones of her self and each one went in a different direction. She sat back down in the middle of the grove and continued to be bored.

“Let's try going with a decoy it almost worked before.” A boy sat with five other people planning.

“No that's too simple she won't fall for it again.” A girl said across from him.

“She's got a point I'm not stupid.” Haruka sat on a tree branch above them.

“Exactly-“

They all looked up at her wide eyed. She grinned and held up shurikan. They all ran for it.

“Heh this is fun I'll wear them all down and then we'll see what they can do.” She kept doing the same thing until the sun had fallen barely below the horizon. Most of the students were all worn down and had only proven their skills of hiding in bushes.

“You guys need to learn how to conserve your chakra better sheesh you guys suck.” Haruka shouted to the shadows where she knew her students were hiding. Some one popped up out of a nearby bush.

“I'm the best one here I don't suck!” Naruto shouted.

“I dunno about that” Haruka smirked. In a matter of seconds Naruto was pinned to a tree by kunai.

“Nice one loser” Sasuke laughed at him. Sakura pulled out the kunai and Naruto hit the ground.

“Grrr if you're so good then why are you just standing there?” Naruto fumed. Sasuke sighed

“If we do something will you shut up?”

“YES LET'S GO!!!” He shouted and ran out.

`Good Naruto can be the distraction' Sasuke thought.

Naruto ran out and charged Haruka. She raised an eyebrow and shrugged, dodging every attempt that he made to touch the bracelet but with no success. All he did was make her jump into a tree and sit on a high branch. When two other shadows jumped at her she jumped out of the way then Naruto jumped up too making it three against one. Haruka decided that no one winning, wouldn't be much fun so she decided to go easy. She kept evading on the ground when some one fell she put her foot on their neck she grabbed another one's wrist but was too late to get the other one. Sakura was touching the bracelet and grinning, Haruka had Sasuke's wrist and Naruto was on the ground. She grinned.

“Good job Sasuke, Sakura” she let go of Sasuke's wrist and looked down. “You know Naruto it's better to stay on your feet when in a battle.” She grinned again and moved her foot allowing him to get up.

“I KNOW THAT!” he rubbed his neck.

“Sure okay” she said teasing him.

“I DO!”

“I'm just kidding don't go ballistic” She hit him on the head “Okay we're done let's head back before we can't see.” All of the students were limping or supporting each other, most of the boys groaning from both pain and not successfully winning the kiss.

“Well that was fun” Haruka stretched and looked at Sakura who was walking next to her.

“Oh yeah!” she took of the bracelet and handed it to Sakura “This is now yours and where do you three want to eat?” she turned and walked backwards looking at Sasuke and Naruto.

“Ichiraku Ramen!” Naruto cheered.

“I don't care.” Sasuke replied.

“I'm not very hungry” Sakura said just as her stomach rumbled.

“Not hungry eh?” Haruka grinned.

“Um…”

“Heh I guess we're getting ramen”

“Woo-hoo RAMEN!” Naruto ran ahead and sang `Ramen'.

Haruka sighed and shook her head and slowed her pace to match Sasuke's.

“Oh yes I almost forgot” she exclaimed enthusiastically she turned towards Sasuke and kissed him on the cheek. Haruka heard the envious and angry protests of most of the girls. She laughed.

“I don't think Sasuke really cares!” She laughed again. She looked at Sasuke.

“You're right I don't. I'm going home.” He sped up trying to hide his red face, and rolled his eyes as girls looked at him like they usually did.

“Oh my you don't think I embarrassed him do you?” she asked Sakura laughing.

Sakura grunted.

“Oh come on Sakura It was the prize you each got one it meant nothing believe me he's all yours and besides he's too young for me.” Haruka shook Sakura by the shoulders. “Uh oh Sakura has the grumpie's...I think she needs a snuggle!” Haruka grabbed her by the waist and picked her up hugging her tight.

“Ahh you're suffocating me I get it I get it!” Sakura struggled to get free of Haruka's death grip. She set her down.

“Good because you should.”

“Uhh…right.” They laughed together.

“Hey what about my kiss?!” Naruto said looking hopeful.

“You got to choose where we're eating you got your prize.” Haruka said.

“Ahh but…”

“Can we please hurry I'm starving.” Haruka ran forward to the village the other two following.

 

The three sat at a table at the ramen shop, Naruto on his third bowl Haruka and Sakura still on their first.

“Naruto you're going to make me go broke” Haruka said watching him stuff his face.

“Haruka sensei how old are you?” Sakura asked pushing her bowl aside.

“I'll be sixteen in a week, why?”

“No reason just wondering you've been here for about six months don't you think your family misses you?”

“Why do you want me to leave?” She chuckled.

“No that's not it I was just making conversation.”

“Yeah I'm sure they haven't noticed I'm gone but actually each one of these braids is for anyone who said `I'm going to miss you'.” She grinned.

“Wow there's a lot.”

“Yup there's a grand total of 86 and there are even doubles so there's even more than that.”

“How big is your family?”

“Big, too big to count! And they're all insane just like ME!” she laughed “but I love each and every one of them with all of my heart. I'd do anything for them.” She smiled.

“Wow you sure seem close to them.” Sakura said looking at her.

“Some more than others I can't be really close to every one there's too many of them but I love `em anyway especially the little ones that're soo cute!”

“Does every one look the same as you?” she asked imagining a whole bunch of Harukas.

“Nah not every one has silver eyes mostly only the members of the main branch do but every one does have black hair” she shrugged taking a bite of her Ramen.

“Is every one in your family a shinobi?”

“Yeah pretty much…every one capable at least.” She finished up her ramen. “well I'm going back home tomorrow so I'll see you. Got to rest up for the trip.” She got up and put down payment for the food.

“What? Why?!” Sakura jumped up.

“Because it's almost my birthday and I'm going back to get my loot! Don't worry I'll be back in two weeks.” She held up two fingers after seeing Sakuras' face.

“Really?” she asked skeptically.

“Really. Bye, see you soon” she grinned and turned to Naruto “No you can't have anymore I already said I was broke.”

“NO you said I was going to make you Go broke.” Naruto grinned and held up his bowl “You know you're my favorite…um…favorite…” he was trying to come up with a compliment but just trailed off.

“Nice try but the answer is still no.”

“But-” Haruka kicked him off of his chair and he fell to the floor. She bent down next to him.

“Next time you pay and I'll beg for more” she got up and walked out.

“She's amazing.” Sakura sighed and looked after her.

“She's something but amazing is not it.” Naruto said from the ground.

Sakura frowned kick him too and walked out leaving him on the ground.

“Now I know what she is: violent and a bad influence on Sakura-chan” Naruto thought.

 

Haruka was in her room packing what she needed for her journey home when some one knocked on the door.

“Coming!” she said opening the door to see a messenger ninja standing there. “Yes?”

“The Hokage wants to see you its important so be quick.” He turned and left.

“Okay I'll be right there.” She said sticking her tongue out after him. She sighed grabbed her bag slung it over her shoulder, closed the door behind her and headed out. She came up at the door and was about to knock when the door swung open.

“Welcome” said a voice she recognized as the third Hokage's.

“HI!” she said walking in. He was sitting at his desk with his elbows on the table his fingers interlocked. “You needed something?” She asked smiling.

“Yes.”

She looked at him waiting for him to continue, he didn't. She sighed “Is this going to take long? I have to get home by tomorrow so…”

“Your Name isn't Tenou Haruka is it?” He asked his eyes in the shadow of his hat. (hat thing with fire written on it…you know what I'm talking about you ppl are smart)

“What makes-” she started but he shot her a look. She sighed again and looked at him.

“No. My real name is Todoroki Akari of the Todoroki clan.”(well duh) she bowed just as she had when she had first arrived; her hair swinging around her face and her bag slipping off her shoulder.

“The ancient clan that sided with the hidden stone during the war correct?” He said looking at her with cold eyes.

“Yeah…but I'm not here to start anything up again once you guys won we withdrew our support like the cowards we are so you know Hidden Stone hates us too like everyone else.” She said quickly.

“So if you're not here to start anything then what are you doing here?”

“Why am I here?” she said rephrasing his question. “I'm here because I was bored and I need to train away from home for a while, my idea it wasn't mandatory.” She shrugged, “And I thought that maybe you guys could maybe forgive us for being stupid and siding with the stone when we weren't supposed to but hey they bribed us with a lot of cash so I'm sure you get the point.”

“You're here to make amends not to attack us?”

“Yup!”

“How can I know you're telling the truth?”

“Upon my word as a shinobi I'm here to train and to ask forgiveness from the Hidden leaves. Will you accept the Todoroki clan's apology?” She asked sincerely.

He looked skeptical.

“Would it help if I was on my knees and begging like a dog? `cause I can do that.”

“That's not necessary…I believe you but-”

“You want us to help out if another war occurs and you want to be able to keep in touch with us.” She finished for him. He sighed and smiled.

“Yes, so I have the Todoroki's word?”

“Not only that but my word too and that's a good thing to have and it's really good to have me as a friend I'm the second best in the clan.” He looked surprised.

“What you didn't think that I could be that good Huh?”

“Well at your age I would think it'd be difficult to gain the title.” She grinned.

“First degree Main branch Second class, equivalent to a Jonin, yeah it was pretty hard But my brother is First degree Main branch First class, he's the most likely to be the next Head of the clan.” She said proudly. (Don't ask about the first class stuff I just liked how it sounded.)

“I See.”

“Well now that we're buddies again is it alright if I come back after my birthday?”

“I think that will be alright but you'll have to tell every one who you are again.” He pointed out.

“Ahhhh! You're right and it took them forever to remember who I was before all this! Ah man this sucks, Oh well I'll live” She grinned.

He smiled back then looked out the window.

“Don't you have a birthday party to attend to? You should probably get on the road before it gets too late” he pointed outside. Akari looked out side and yelped.

“I'm going to be late! See you in two weeks Bye!” She ran out of his office. And out of the village. Then Kakashi poofed in next to the Hokage (when I say poof I mean when they disappear in smoke I think its fun to type>o<)

“What was that about?” He asked.

“I've just prepared us for a war if it were to occur in the future with new allies.” The third said relaxing in his chair.

“With who?” Kakashi asked confused.

“The Todoroki clan.”

“The clan who betrayed us to the stone?” he was still puzzled

“Yes but thanks to Haruka-Akari whom is a member of the Todoroki I think we'll be well set if an expected war was to happen here in Konoha.”

“And if an unexpected war was to occur?”

“We'd need a fast messenger.”

“You sure are a man of mystery Hokage-sama.” Kakashi said with a sigh.

The third laughed.

“But was it a wise choice to trust her? She did lie to us of who she was”

“Her I think we can but The Todoroki? I'm not sure I've heard a rumor that they were restless and turmoil was causing chaos in the clan.”

Kakashi remained silent he knew of the Todoroki clans reputation. Some of the members could be right behind you and you wouldn't notice until you were dead and that others were so quiet that they hide in the shadows until the right moment to strike. And some with so much power they couldn't handle it, He wasn't really sure of this but he knew it was very possible. He had fought many members of the clan during the war but he never really fought one face to face, he had only witnessed their power he didn't know what they were really capable of and he didn't know how they had acquired that power. And Not a single soul outside of the family knew where they lived they were secretive and decisive many feared and hated them. So what was going on?

“Something has been stirring in the clan for about six months Something might be happening but I don't think we should be concerned they rarely let outsiders in on their family matters.” The Hokage said sighing and stood up. Well any way I have a mission for your team Kakashi its simple nothing too dangerous.”

“Naruto'll be thrilled.” Kakashi joked.

 

The sun was almost below the horizon when on the second day of her journey home, Akari saw the walls around the Todoroki estate, it was very large roughly the size of the village hidden in the leaves. (Yeah that's right you heard me its big, the Population of one clan is the same size as a village.)

“Ahhh finally I'm home!” she ran towards the long shadows of the walls glad to be home.
