Chapter Two: Daddy's Little Boy
Itachi stared at the white box in his hand and glanced up at the digital clock on his end table. After what he did to the younger Uchiha he felt an ample amount of guilt. He honestly didn't want to hurt the ten year old nor did he want to make such a threat towards him. He has no real problem with Sasuke.
The older Uchiha remembered well how he felt on the day Sasuke was born. He remembered at age four as he sat in the vivid waiting room in Sylyman Hospital staring around waiting for the doctor to allow him and his father in to see his mother. Itachi remembered how he felt uncomfortable as he sat there seeing as how he and his father were the only beings that existed during the time. The birth happened between 3 AM and 4 AM. When the male doctor came out signaling for them to come in he ran inside the room and their in his mother's arms was a baby boy sending out its first cries to the world letting everyone know that he was here.
The feeling that formed within Itachi was a feeling of euphoria. To know that he would have a little brother to spend time with and keep him company when he needed it. Itachi was normally emotionless but when Sasuke came into the world it gave him a reason to allow emotion to come into his empty world. Though it didn't turn out the way the older Uchiha wanted. He was still Daddy's little boy.
A wave of disgust entered through Itachi as he thought about his father. He despised his father for ruining what he had planned. For destorying him so early as if he deserved it. Itachi always wanted to spend time with Sasuke but every time he had the opportunity his father was always there to stop him and going against his father was something he learned not to do after an incident at age six. He learned during that time it was best to listen to his authroitarian father rather than go against his wishes.
Itachi was going to see Sasuke like he wanted to until his father came blocking his way for the millionth time in only three days. Even through Itachi was only six during the time he got agitated fairly quickly if something bothered him. He was so agitated with the fact that his father wouldn't allow him to pass so he could get to Sasuke's room and he instantly went off. It was normal for a child to become upset but Itachi was a child born under the traits of outstanding intelligence and overwhelming ingenuity so he was a fast learner when it came to most things in life and one thing that he learned at a quick pace when he was younger was the art of cursing a person out.
Why he would do it to his father was not due to child stupidity; he knew exactly what he was doing. He did it because he was agitated and, also, his Fugaku did the same to him when he was five and he wanted to stay in his room for the day. Fugaku allowed him to go on with his cursing rampage until a certain point and that's when Itachi experienced, for the first time, and actual beating. The pain he felt from each devastating blow was something Itachi could never forget and he hated the fact that his mother just stood there and did nothing.
Itachi didn't have close ties with either of his parents nor did he really want to. The only family tie he wanted to acquire was his brotherly bond with Sasuke; it was the only family tie he thought was necessary for him to have in his life. The bond with his mother was dropped that day when she did nothing to save him from that beating seeing as how at the end Itachi was left with enough pain and bruises that he couldn't even move.
As for his father he doesn't have a true bond; it was a bond that Fugaku made that Itachi still doesn't accept to this day. Itachi could never bring himself to forgive his father for such a vulgar act of displaying his bond with him. To abuse what a bond truly is was something Itachi could not forgive a person for.
Worried about how Sasuke was feeling after the threat encounter Itachi sat the box on top of the end table next to his bed and departed from his bedroom. As he began to pass the living room a horrid image entered his mind as his onyx eyes landed on the black couch in the center of the room. He averted his focus away from the piece of furniture and made his way into Sasuke's room to see it empty. He walked over to the closet and opened it to see his younger brother curled in a ball with tears streaming down his pale face. Itachi was unsure of how to handle this situation because of where it was in the process. To see the younger Uchiha weeping was something he couldn't handle.
Sasuke looked up into the eyes of his older brother and a wave of hatred entered his body as the image sank into his brain. His vast, tear filled eyes transformed into a distasteful glare of pure abhorrence. Before the older one could speak Sasuke shot up and forcefully pushed Itachi in the random direction of his west dresser.
“I can't believe you have the nerve to waltz back in here after what you did and said to me!” he shouted and he kicked the east dresser causing a picture frame to fall over and break, “I hate you!”
Itachi watched as the ten year old ran out of the room to a different part of the house. He looked over at the broken picture frame and saw the picture that the duo took together only two years ago. It was the only picture that they were able to take with each other and that was because Fugaku was always taking up Itachi's precious time. No matter what his father was striving to make sure every ounce of the fourteen year old's time was spent with him.
Itachi looked down at the polished wooden floor allowing his hair to cover his eyes. He wanted to escape this wretched life and he wanted to take Sasuke with him. He was tired of living within the confinement of these walls. He wanted to stop being this way. He wanted to stop being Daddy's little boy.
