Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ Bring me to paradise ❯ Meeting ( Chapter 1 )
Yosh!! This is the second fiction I've posted. The idea of this story has actually been in my head for quite a while but I never dare to write it out. My English isn't something I have confidence in so I'm afraid of ruining the story when I put it into words. Hope any language errors won't be too horrible and thank you for reading the fic.
Pairing: SasuNaru
Warning: AU
Disclaimers: 1. Naruto belongs to Masashi Kishimoto sensei
2. This story is sort of based on the story `Little Mermaid'
3. The lyric at the end is a modification of a stanza from `New Paradise' by
W-inds.

Sunlight filtered through the dense canopy, creating shadows dancing on the forest ground. Songs of forest creatures rang through the still and misty air, portraying a picture of tranquility.
All of a sudden, the serenity was shattered by a high shriek of horses' neigh and the heavy pounding of hooves. A handsome white steed sped swiftly through the forest, leaving a trail of crinkled dry leaves dancing in its wake. Upon reaching a lake in an open clearing, the steed let out another cry of protest as it was pulled to a halt.
A fair young boy, no older than seventeen, swung down from the stallion and headed towards the lake. His steed remained at the same spot, feasting on the verdure meadow while it waited for the boy.
Once he reached the grassy bank, the teen sat down comfortably, with his fingers intertwined and elbows on his bent knees. He trained his intense gaze on the clear blue water and fell into deep cogitation.
Before long the sun increased its intensity, spraying burning rays onto midnight locks and straining dark gaze. When the stinging on his pale skin became too unbearable, the teen reluctantly stood up and strolled back to where he left his steed.
He frowned when the white stallion was nowhere to be found. Diverting his gaze towards the forest, he let out a sharp whistle and waited patiently for the familiar sound of pounding hooves. Minutes passed with nothing but the low hum of forest creatures greeted his ears. The cease between his brows deepened and he stepped towards the woods and whistled again.
When he was still met with negative result after the third tries, the boy decided to venture home on foot. He reckoned he could get his guards to come back for the dumb animal later.

The forest was no unfamiliar ground for the teen; he had lived all of his glorious sixteen years in the palace just beyond the woods. The numerous hunting trips he attended had also given him the opportunities to get to know the wild landscape. However, the forest was an untamed natural maze, it would not be subdued by a mere human, who had no keen sense of smell or sight, easily. Furthermore, the woodland did not exactly look the same on a horse as on foot. Very soon, the dark haired boy found himself lost in the array of trees. Silently cursing his steed for the thousand times, he struggled to find tracks that might lead to home or at least shed some light to a way out of the forest maze.
He was so engrossed in his search that the boy missed the stone slab hidden within frenzied wild ferns. Blood red characters were painfully carved onto the slab, whispering the cursed name---Shinomori. Unknowingly, the boy had stepped into the forbidden forest of death; a place where many men thought only existed in far-fetched tales or legends. It was said that not only poisonous floral and fauna inhabited the place but demons roamed the area too. Shinomori, known to exist at the very core of the woodland, was a place of no return.

The dark green foliage thickened as the teen trespassed deeper into Shinomori, not that it made much difference to the lighting. Dusk had approached and the exhausted sun was exerting its last bits of dying ray before retiring beyond the horizon.
Frantic ebony eyes that darted round the forest and sweat-soaked navy garment betrayed the sense of anxiety under the expressionless mask. Darkness was engulfing the woods and the boy was intelligently gifted enough to know that forest of the night wasn't the best place for a human to be.
As if to prove his point, an inhuman wail suddenly echoed through the woods before an overpowering pungent smell choked the air. The teen froze when he found himself staring at a monster which had appeared a few meters ahead of him. Under the poor lighting, he gaped at the greatest monstrosity to have ever existed in his world --- an eight foot mound of gluey purplish lump that was flinging gobs of slimy goo in its trail.
As if sensing someone staring at it, the monster pivoted and smiled at the boy. At least that was what it looked like, with the three vacuums on the gluey mass, which the boy assumed were its eyes and mouth, stretched into a disfigured smiley face at him. Hardly able to suppress a shiver, the boy got back his bearing and immediately broke into a mad dash.
With the forest whizzing by like abstract pictures of trees, the teen ran like he had never before. Unfortunately for him, he was heading towards steep rocky slope hidden behind raving bushes. As he was about to let out a sigh of relief, after a risked glance behind to find that he had lost the monster, he lost his footing and slid down the slope.
He rolled and tumbled, earning bumps, bruises and cuts from jagged rocks debris. Just when he was getting dizzy with repeated scenes of sky, trees and soil, he collided into a rotting stump and saw complete darkness.

An air of mystic mingled with serenity; a sole lonely voice embraced him. The boy felt himself bathing in a melancholic peace instead of the ache that he knew he should feel. Ignoring the sense of disorientation, he found himself enjoying and saddening at the pleasant sensation. It had been a long time since he had felt so warm and at ease, yet something akin to sorrow hung in the air and he felt his heart wrenched as he listened to the siren's song.
Somebody is crying in the sky;
Somebody is lost in this night;
Will someone please hear my pray;
Bring me away to paradise.
Gingerly, the teen forced opened his eyes but nothing prepared him for the sight that greeted his eyes. The warmth that had encircled him was the arms of the siren, placing him within its clasp. The ethereal creature that glowed under silvery moonbeam had cradled him like a fragile baby and rested his head on its chest of silky golden fur. Focusing his ebony eyes on the siren's face, the boy stopped breathing for a second.
There, mere inches above him, was the most beautiful sight he had ever laid eyes upon. Silvery gold furs tumbled down to its shoulder, framing a delicate young face with three whiskers adoring each cheek. The being had stopped singing when it felt movement in its arms and was now staring down at the boy with the most magnificent cerulean eyes which the teen instantly felt himself drowning in.
Both of them stared into each other's eyes for what seems like eternity before the creature broke the spell. Its face inched closer to the boy's much to his surprise and his eyes widened even more when the creature closed its eyes and began to lick his cheek tenderly with warm wet tongue.
Overcoming his shock, the boy too closed his eyes and felt himself melting under the gentle caress. Greedily, he savoured the tingles and shivers invoked from the core of his body.
"..nnng…"
Not too soon, he was lulled into deep slumber by the warmth of the mystical creature and the gentle touch of its tongue.

TBC???
Somehow it doesn't sound as nice as how I imagined it to be. It feels rushed and very `skeleton-like'. Maybe I shouldn't have written how Sasuke (he is the 'boy' in the fic) fell unconscious but just focus on him waking up in Naruto's embrace. Anyway, sorry for poor English usage, hope it isn't too indecipherable or too irritating to read. Reviews and comments will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
