Chapter 5 Kyuubi vs Konoha
A/N WOW, THIS IS GOING MUCH SLOWER THAN PLANED. MY NET CONNECTION IS STILL ON THE FRITZ AND I CAN NOT UPLOAD FROM WORK. BUT NO WORRIES NEW CHAPTERS ARE IN WORK FOR BOTH STORIES.

Mitsugi sat at the ramen shop next to his short blond friend. They had been hired and were about to collect the payment. Although raping and torturing the boy had being fun and payment in itself. Their part was almost over. Just to wait and see if they had forced Kyuubi out. Their boss had figured that Kyuubi would intervene to prevent the boys death and would either want revenge on Konaha for trapping him in the first place. Or on them for hurting Naruto. Either way they were to wait and see if the demon came.
Shaking his head, Mitsugi could see why their boss would want to possess the boy. He was a good fuck toy. But going through all this just to make sure that Naruto would not want to ever come back to Konoha was a bit over the top.
Hell in his short time in Konaha he saw how the adults treated him. Why he would want to stay here was a mystery to him. After Naruto showed up as Kyuubi they would never let the boy back. That is what Mitsugi figured the boss wanted. For them to exile the boy. Then in two days when the monster turned back in to the boy the boss would collect him. Save him from himself. Unknown to their boss, he was not the only one interested in the boy.
Right now the group the Akatsuki were waiting outside in the woods for the same thing. Grinning at the thought that if the Akatsuki got the boy, he could have another go with him. He would wait until he was healthy enough to scream again. Than rip him apart devouring him. Use him to the fullest as he did for the last three days. None of the mind games just sex. Although that bit with Iruka was entertaining. Turning to face Hanza, his short blond friend was one of the most vicious men he had ever met. Getting the boy to kill his father figure. That was genius, pain with an extra helping of guilt. The boss had liked it as well.
“What.” Hanza’s icy voice asked.
“Just thinking that I should have done him one more time. And that you are one of the most vicious bastards I have ever met.”
“Thanks.”
Just then the whole stand shook. Crashing and shouts for help came form down the street. A woman ran by shrieking as she went.
“KYUUUUUUUBBBBBBBBBBBBIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.”

The demon fox had reached the walls around the town and simply jumped over. When he landed on the other side the building next to him collapsed from the shock wave. The screams of pain and fear were delicious. He wanted more, Kyuubi had said only the two men but if they died from collateral damage they didn’t count. At least not to him. Running down the street purposefully slamming his tails in to buildings. Listening to the cries of fear and alarm. Both driving him on.
Some shinobi tried to block him but with a flick of his tails, the resulting earthquake knocked them out of the way. Still following the sent of the men he changed direction turning down a small side street. Small to him anyway he was about three stories high. Not liking the cramped space Kyuubi slapped his nine tails into the building, collapsing it. People ran around like bugs, making plenty of wonderfully terrified sounds.
Damn, did he missed this.
The demon was moving so fast that he passed the men. Leaped right over the small stand that they were in. Pivoting to spin around, pointing his long muzzle at the stand. Growling, causing the ground to shake, as Kyuubi recognized the men from Naruto’s memories. The cold voiced blond one and the one with the bandana. As soon as the man saw him turn to them. They split, one jumping left toward the center of the town the other, the blond toward the walls that separated the town from the woods.
Kyuubi charged after the blond. This one was the worst of the two. He was the one that had carved the kanji monster in to Narutos chest and demon in to his thigh. Then poured bleach in to the wounds. No mater how much he healed the boy, he will always have a scar from it. He also was the one to cut out the boys left eye, cutting a x across the side of his face. Evan with his throat raw and bleeding the boy had screamed before he passed out. All the time the this man kept saying that every one in Konaha thought him a piece of shit. That he deserved this.
The giant fox growled as he recalled the man making Naruto say that he was worthless, that he was scum. That death was better than living with a demon. Naruto had fought it all but in the end he could not resist and had screamed the words the man had wanted him to. How something had broken inside Naruto as they continued to torture him.
Chasing after the man was easy. Every change in direction was simply followed. It only took three blocks until the man ran in to a wide open space. The agile kitsune spun, smacking the man with one of his tails.
Internal earthquake, the man exploded covering a flower shop and a shocked blond, that was standing in front of the shop. Turning to face the female, the blood covering her made her look like a sauteed appetizer. Growling, Kyuubi opened his mouth showing his fangs as he grinned at the thought of roasted kunochi. But before he snapped and ate her, a feeling of recognition came from Naruto. Ignoring it, he positioned himself to get her in one bite. Just as he was starting to lunge that feeling returned, halting him, Naruto did not want him to kill her.
‘So what, the boy did things I didn’t want all the time.’
Shutting out the feelings Kyuubi snapped at the kunochi and got thin air. Two throwing stars were inbound for his eye, merely shutting his eye they bounced harmlessly off his eyelid.
‘Stupid female, now I’ll rip you in two.’
As the demon twisted around to get at the darting female, the feelings came again, stronger this time. Shaking his head to clear it and growling fiercely, Kyuubi charged the kunochi. Instead of chomping her he slammed his muzzle against her, throwing her through the front window of the flower shop. Whipping around he charged off after the other man.
Ino slowly stood up. The sound of glass hitting the floor as it fell off her. She had several cuts and was sore but she felt extremely relieved that she was still alive. Moving to the door and peeking out to make sure that the huge fox was gone.
‘Was that Kyuubi? I thought that it was dead.’
Stepping outside she looked in the direction that the monster had gone. In the distance a building fell, a great cloud of dust raising from the collapse.
Suddenly there was a hand on her shoulder. Jumping, she turned to face her sensei.
“Asuma-sensei.”
The long haired, blond girl breathed a sigh of relief at the comforting sight of her bearded teacher.
“Are you ok.”
“I’m shaken but I’ll live. Was that Kyuubi?”
“Yes that was the demon fox, Tsunade-sama has called all the shinobi to try and stop him.”

Kyuubi charged across town passing the ramen stand the man had started out at. Sniffing and finding the other mans sent he ran after him. Slamming in to a building knocking it down. The demon was aware of the shinobi that were shadowing him. Not really caring, he knew that it would take more then them to stop him evan at half his original size. Following the sent of the man he quickly caught up with his fleeing form. He was less than two blocks from the ally where they had first attacked Naruto. The man was jumping from building to building switching direction every now and then. Kyuubi stopped his deliberate destruction of property and silently covered the distance between him and the man.
Mitsuki looked over his shoulder to see if the beast had gained any more ground. All he saw were jaws as they snapped shut across his mid section. The broad red muzzle had him armpit to thigh.
In a quick motion Kyuubi had snapped his mouth shut then tossed his head up, releasing the man, letting him fly up 6 feet in to the air. Then when the man came down Kyuubi snapped again. Snatching him out of the air then whipping his head back and forth. The mans blood flowed on to his tongue and splatted out from between his lips. Whipping his head to the side one last time, the demon let go of the mutilated corpse sending it to slam in to a wall of a near by building. Blood dripped from Kyuubi’s mouth to pool on the dust covered street. Snorting as the presence of several shinobi gathered around him.
He had promised just to kill the men but the lingering taste of blood on his tongue was reminding him of how wonderfully good it felt to rip in to a shinobi. A few more dead would not matter to him.
Hissing, Kyuubi turned to face the gathering shinobi. The hiss turned in to a growl when he saw the force that had gathered. All of the towns shinobi had come and were standing around him. A buxom blond woman was standing forward of all the others. She seemed like a good place to start killing.
Charging her position he snapped at the woman, then when she dodged the massive jaws, he spun, slamming all nine of his tails down causing a massive earthquake.
Buildings crumbled around the giant fox. Shinobi scrambled to regain there footing on the turbulent ground. Turning in perfect balance, used to the quaking his tails caused, Kyuubi attacked the closest shinobi. The men managed to dodged the slashing claws but the earthquake that followed buried them under rubble. Turning again Kyuubi charged, snapping and clawing anything that remotely resembled a ninja.
Shinobi rushed to get out of the way of the rampaging fox. The slower ones were buried, the fast one’s were dancing around, dodging him and the shifting rubble. A large cloud of dust was kicked up and it was blocking the shinobis ability to see. The demon was used to this dust cloud and used it to his advantage, scoring several minor hits on blinded shinobi before he decided to stop playing and to kill them.
Looking around the dust clouded area, the fox spotted a set of shinobi. One, a black haired boy with large eye brows was distracted trying to pull a pink haired one out from under some debris. Seeing his opening Kyuubi attacked. In one fluid motion he leaped and landed less then ten feet from then two doomed shinobi.
Suddenly there was a pain in his nose as a kunai was slammed in to it. Whipping his head to the side dislodging the kunai. Then growling as he whipped his head back to look at the one who had thrown the kunai. Red eyes and black hair. He was standing between the two he wanted to kill and himself.
A bad place to be.
Something about him was familiar though. Like he had seen that fighting stance before. The feeling came back, the one from when Naruto did not want him to kill the girl. It was stronger this time much stronger.
Sasuke knew he was in deep shit. But he would buy the time Lee and Sakura needed to get out of there and for the jounins to prepare the sealing technique. The dark haired teen kept waiting for Kyuubi to rip him to shreds as he stood watching the huge fox. The dust from the destroyed buildings was choking him. He felt like coughing but the moment he did he knew that Kyuubi would attack. Moments passed but neither he or Kyuubi moved.
Suddenly the fox sprang to life and slammed one massive paw on to Sasuke, pinning him to the ground before sharingan could even register the movement..
Sasuke thought he was dead, was quite sure that he should be dead, but for some reason he was looking up a long red furred leg that was connected to his chest and an un godly huge fox. The claws did not dig in to his shoulders but the pressure from the paw would not let him move. Slowly the large snout of the beast leaned down and this time he was certain that his head would be chewed off.
Wincing as the cold nose came withing 6 inches of his head Sasuke braced for the inevitable chomp of teeth and death. Suddenly his dust smudged hair was lifted of his sweating face as the beast inhaled, than plastered to him as he exhaled.
“Sasuke.”
The fox demon half growled the name. Words were foreign on Kyuubi’s tongue.
Opening his eyes and getting a view of the inner workings of the demons nostrils Sasuke watched as the head moved aside so he could see the demons eyes. Wisps of blue infiltrated the blood red as the beast gazed down at him.
Kyuubi stopped snarling and his ears and tails drooped. The pressure on his chest lifted for a moment but was slammed back down, forcing the air out of his lungs in a rush.
Kyuubi snapped his head up, growling and whipping it from side to side unintentionally putting more pressure on Sasukes chest. The growling increased and Sasuke could see the gleaming red eyes of the fox, towering over him. Kyuubi looked down at the gasping Sasuke and let up a little so the teen could breath.
Kyuubi looked at the sputtering teen pinned under his great paw and contemplated killing him. It would be so easy, just a little more pressure and squish, no more annoying human. At the mere though of killing the teen the fox could feel the blond inside of him try to take over, fighting his own wounds to force the demon to spare this pathetic teens life. Naruto started to reject the demons chakra and almost immediately Kyuubi could feel weakness creep in. He still needed Naruto to be alive, if the brat died so would he, regardless of who was in charge.
Growling fiercely at the predicament he was in, Kyuubi removed his paw and practically roared as he slapped the dark haired ninja over to the green fuzzy browed one.
Sasuke felt himself collide with something that was thankfully not a wall. Green spandex clad arms held on to him, stopping his forward motion as they sunk down to the ground. The Uchiha was gasping, trying to get air in to his deprived lungs. Lee had to haul him away from the demon as Kyuubi charged them, ripping up the ground with his claws.
The demon twirled around and charged Sakura, who Lee had left to stop Sasuke’s flight, she tried to jump out of the way, but her broken ankle tripped her up and she fell. Before Sasuke registered that he had moved, he had pushed away from Lee and was standing in front of the charging demon again. Hands blurred as they flew through hand seals. Right before Kyuubi attacked them, a large fire ball engulfed the demon. Serving only to stall the beast as Lee went behind Sasuke and grabbed on to Sakura then leaped to safety.
Kyuubi paused only momentarily then charged through the fire ball and slammed his muzzle in to the winded Sasuke. This time there was no green beast to stop the teen from crashing in to a chunk of wall.
Kyuubi looked down at the unconscious teen that had crashed head first in to a half way crumbled building. His impact cracked the already unstable wall, and as Sasuke lay limply in the rubble at the base the building started to collapse.
Shinobi started attacking the fox, trying to lure it away from the downed teen. But all their jutsu’s were nothing to the demon and Kyuubi slammed his tails down. Stopping the shinobis attack and making the building collapse in a thunderous roar as flag stones and brickwork hit the ground. As dust and debris clouded the open space Kyuubi had created, the shinobi had to retreat. The brown cloud obscured the giant fox as he held a coughing form in his jaws.
Kyuubi did not know why he had grabbed the dark haired teen the moment before the building collapsed. Or why he was just holding on to him instead of shaking and snapping his neck, or crushing him in his jaws. Not understanding his own actions Kyuubi bit down on the form but released when Sasuke yelped out in pain. Why couldn’t he kill him. Naruto was fading in and out of consciousness and was currently out cold.
Growling, Kyuubi sensed the shinobi that had circled around him in the cover of the dust cloud. From the side a blue crackle erupted and sensing the danger in the move, the giant fox leaped back, out from the cover of the dust cloud.
A buxom blond woman jumped up at him as soon as he cleared the cloud a landed a solid punch to the foxes right shoulder. Kyuubi was surprised at the fact it actually hurt. As the woman lunged toward the fox again, Kyuubi whipped his head aside and flung Sasuke at the charging woman.
Tsunade caught the raven haired teen and jumped back to where several jounin were standing. Kyuubi stood and glared at the woman growling deeply, as she set the unconscious teen gently down. The demon did not know why Sasuke was appealing but the fact he was disturbed the great demon. Him, having feeling’s for these lousy humans, how absurd. At least it was just this one lousy human, if he had responded to all humans like this he would have to kill himself.
Growling at the woman that hovered over the dark haired teen and making her jump a little the great fox set his furred chin next to the dust covered form. Inhaling again Kyuubi tried to find out what the hell this brat had that drew him in. Finding the answer not in the teen sent but in his own.
Snarling viciously the fox jumped back away from the building and turned from the gathered shinobi to run out of the village. Jumping the far wall that separated the village from the forest.
Sasuke felt the arm around his shoulders and the hand on his forehead that was making green sparks dance under his eyelids. Taking a deep breath only to go in to a fit of coughing from the dust in the air. The raven haired teen looked up at Tsunade and the hokage set his shoulders down. Rolling his had to look over and feeling the pleasant buzz from the recent healing Sasuke saw the roof top crowded with wounded. Sakura was limping through the ranks heal who she could and calling one of the more experienced healers over if it was bad. Forcing himself to his elbows and feeling the wave of nausea wash over him Sasuke looked up at the hokage who seemed to be surveying the damage to the village.
“Why didn’t it kill me.”
His voice was rough and his throat was sore, his head was wonderfully not pounding in time with his heart.
She blanched and looked over to Kakashi and Jiraiya who had joined the group of jounin on the roof top. All the other shinobi had pulled each other out of the rubble, their injuries being attended to. All the able bodied shinobi had come to the roof top and were all looking to her. The older shinobi shifted their weight from foot to foot or some other nervous tick. The younger ones looked on eagerly wanting to know the answer to that question as well as how Kyuubi, killed by the fourth hokage, could come back.
“Well I guess it is about time for you all to know.”
She closed he eyes for a moment and made a fist.
“The fourth Hokage did not kill Kyuubi, he sealed him in to a baby. In order to protect the child he made a rule that no one was to talk about the fact that he contained the demon. He did this so that the younger generations would not treat that child with contemp, for something that was not his fault to begin with. But the people who remembered the fox, knew who had the demon inside of him and transferred their hated to the child and their children picked up on their parents loathing and hated the child anyway.”
The hokage paused to wipe a tear from her eye and Sasuke knew that this was not going to get better.
“The shinobi that contained the demon is Naruto. That’s why he could not kill you Sasuke. The demon is the reason for his ability to heal quickly and the bastards who attacked him gave him something to block the demon totally from him. It is possible that if they took Naruto to the edge of death then the fox could take over, only till the danger has past then he would pass out. But with Kyuubi blocked the only way he could get out would be to release the seal that held the demon.”
A few gasps of surprise from the younger shinobi. Sasuke could not believe that Naruto demon or not would rampage through Konaha.
“Why would he attack Konaha, Naruto wanted to be hokage and would die before he would let anything bad happen to his village.”
Tsunade looked down, sighed and looked back up at the waiting faces.
“There is irrefutable evidence that he was tortured. He might not of been in his right mind and the fox would try to find a way to get out if he could. When Kyuubi took over he would have total control and would harbor a grudge against us for trapping him.”
“So we have to find the monster and kill him before it comes back to finish the job.”
A jounin covered in scars shouted from the back. Several agreed with him. Most of the genins were in a state of shock over the news that Naruto not only held the feared demon but was tortured to bring it out. Kakashi was angrily shouting some thing back at the scared man. But Sasuke was to lost in thought to listen to Kakashi’s argument.
Some time when he was thinking his feet started to move. Down the path that Kyuubi took to leave the town.
‘Shit, I’m going after him. I’ll bring that fucking dobe back. Tsunade can reseal Kyuubi and Naruto will come back.’
By the time he had reached the wall, he was running and for the second time in his life, Sasuke left Konoha behind.

‘Was that Kyuubi? I thought that it was dead.’
Stepping outside she looked in the direction that the monster had gone. In the distance a building fell, a great cloud of dust raising from the collapse.
Suddenly there was a hand on her shoulder. Jumping, she turned to face her sensei.
“Asuma-sensei.”
The long haired, blond girl breathed a sigh of relief at the comforting sight of her bearded teacher.
“Are you ok.”
“I’m shaken but I’ll live. Was that Kyuubi?”
“Yes that was the demon fox, Tsunade-sama has called all the shinobi to try and stop him.”

Kyuubi charged across town passing the ramen stand the man had started out at. Sniffing and finding the other mans sent he ran after him. Slamming in to a building knocking it down. The demon was aware of the shinobi that were shadowing him. Not really caring, he knew that it would take more then them to stop him evan at half his original size. Following the sent of the man he quickly caught up with his fleeing form. He was less than two blocks from the ally where they had first attacked Naruto. The man was jumping from building to building switching direction every now and then. Kyuubi stopped his deliberate destruction of property and silently covered the distance between him and the man.
Mitsuki looked over his shoulder to see if the beast had gained any more ground. All he saw were jaws as they snapped shut across his mid section. The broad red muzzle had him armpit to thigh.
In a quick motion Kyuubi had snapped his mouth shut then tossed his head up, releasing the man, letting him fly up 6 feet in to the air. Then when the man came down Kyuubi snapped again. Snatching him out of the air then whipping his head back and forth. The mans blood flowed on to his tongue and splatted out from between his lips. Whipping his head to the side one last time, the demon let go of the mutilated corpse sending it to slam in to a wall of a near by building. Blood dripped from Kyuubi’s mouth to pool on the dust covered street. Snorting as the presence of several shinobi gathered around him.
He had promised just to kill the men but the lingering taste of blood on his tongue was reminding him of how wonderfully good it felt to rip in to a shinobi. A few more dead would not matter to him.
Hissing, Kyuubi turned to face the gathering shinobi. The hiss turned in to a growl when he saw the force that had gathered. All of the towns shinobi had come and were standing around him. A buxom blond woman was standing forward of all the others. She seemed like a good place to start killing.
Charging her position he snapped at the woman, then when she dodged the massive jaws, he spun, slamming all nine of his tails down causing a massive earthquake.
Buildings crumbled around the giant fox. Shinobi scrambled to regain there footing on the turbulent ground. Turning in perfect balance, used to the quaking his tails caused, Kyuubi attacked the closest shinobi. The men managed to dodged the slashing claws but the earthquake that followed buried them under rubble. Turning again Kyuubi charged, snapping and clawing anything that remotely resembled a ninja.
Shinobi rushed to get out of the way of the rampaging fox. The slower ones were buried, the fast one’s were dancing around, dodging him and the shifting rubble. A large cloud of dust was kicked up and it was blocking the shinobis ability to see. The demon was used to this dust cloud and used it to his advantage, scoring several minor hits on blinded shinobi before he decided to stop playing and to kill them.
Looking around the dust clouded area, the fox spotted a set of shinobi. One, a black haired boy with large eye brows was distracted trying to pull a pink haired one out from under some debris. Seeing his opening Kyuubi attacked. In one fluid motion he leaped and landed less then ten feet from then two doomed shinobi.
Suddenly there was a pain in his nose as a kunai was slammed in to it. Whipping his head to the side dislodging the kunai. Then growling as he whipped his head back to look at the one who had thrown the kunai. Red eyes and black hair. He was standing between the two he wanted to kill and himself.
A bad place to be.
Something about him was familiar though. Like he had seen that fighting stance before. The feeling came back, the one from when Naruto did not want him to kill the girl. It was stronger this time much stronger.
Sasuke knew he was in deep shit. But he would buy the time Lee and Sakura needed to get out of there and for the jounins to prepare the sealing technique. The dark haired teen kept waiting for Kyuubi to rip him to shreds as he stood watching the huge fox. The dust from the destroyed buildings was choking him. He felt like coughing but the moment he did he knew that Kyuubi would attack. Moments passed but neither he or Kyuubi moved.
Suddenly the fox sprang to life and slammed one massive paw on to Sasuke, pinning him to the ground before sharingan could even register the movement..
Sasuke thought he was dead, was quite sure that he should be dead, but for some reason he was looking up a long red furred leg that was connected to his chest and an un godly huge fox. The claws did not dig in to his shoulders but the pressure from the paw would not let him move. Slowly the large snout of the beast leaned down and this time he was certain that his head would be chewed off.
Wincing as the cold nose came withing 6 inches of his head Sasuke braced for the inevitable chomp of teeth and death. Suddenly his dust smudged hair was lifted of his sweating face as the beast inhaled, than plastered to him as he exhaled.
“Sasuke.”
The fox demon half growled the name. Words were foreign on Kyuubi’s tongue.
Opening his eyes and getting a view of the inner workings of the demons nostrils Sasuke watched as the head moved aside so he could see the demons eyes. Wisps of blue infiltrated the blood red as the beast gazed down at him.
Kyuubi stopped snarling and his ears and tails drooped. The pressure on his chest lifted for a moment but was slammed back down, forcing the air out of his lungs in a rush.
Kyuubi snapped his head up, growling and whipping it from side to side unintentionally putting more pressure on Sasukes chest. The growling increased and Sasuke could see the gleaming red eyes of the fox, towering over him. Kyuubi looked down at the gasping Sasuke and let up a little so the teen could breath.
Kyuubi looked at the sputtering teen pinned under his great paw and contemplated killing him. It would be so easy, just a little more pressure and squish, no more annoying human. At the mere though of killing the teen the fox could feel the blond inside of him try to take over, fighting his own wounds to force the demon to spare this pathetic teens life. Naruto started to reject the demons chakra and almost immediately Kyuubi could feel weakness creep in. He still needed Naruto to be alive, if the brat died so would he, regardless of who was in charge.
Growling fiercely at the predicament he was in, Kyuubi removed his paw and practically roared as he slapped the dark haired ninja over to the green fuzzy browed one.
Sasuke felt himself collide with something that was thankfully not a wall. Green spandex clad arms held on to him, stopping his forward motion as they sunk down to the ground. The Uchiha was gasping, trying to get air in to his deprived lungs. Lee had to haul him away from the demon as Kyuubi charged them, ripping up the ground with his claws.
The demon twirled around and charged Sakura, who Lee had left to stop Sasuke’s flight, she tried to jump out of the way, but her broken ankle tripped her up and she fell. Before Sasuke registered that he had moved, he had pushed away from Lee and was standing in front of the charging demon again. Hands blurred as they flew through hand seals. Right before Kyuubi attacked them, a large fire ball engulfed the demon. Serving only to stall the beast as Lee went behind Sasuke and grabbed on to Sakura then leaped to safety.
Kyuubi paused only momentarily then charged through the fire ball and slammed his muzzle in to the winded Sasuke. This time there was no green beast to stop the teen from crashing in to a chunk of wall.
Kyuubi looked down at the unconscious teen that had crashed head first in to a half way crumbled building. His impact cracked the already unstable wall, and as Sasuke lay limply in the rubble at the base the building started to collapse.
Shinobi started attacking the fox, trying to lure it away from the downed teen. But all their jutsu’s were nothing to the demon and Kyuubi slammed his tails down. Stopping the shinobis attack and making the building collapse in a thunderous roar as flag stones and brickwork hit the ground. As dust and debris clouded the open space Kyuubi had created, the shinobi had to retreat. The brown cloud obscured the giant fox as he held a coughing form in his jaws.
Kyuubi did not know why he had grabbed the dark haired teen the moment before the building collapsed. Or why he was just holding on to him instead of shaking and snapping his neck, or crushing him in his jaws. Not understanding his own actions Kyuubi bit down on the form but released when Sasuke yelped out in pain. Why couldn’t he kill him. Naruto was fading in and out of consciousness and was currently out cold.
Growling, Kyuubi sensed the shinobi that had circled around him in the cover of the dust cloud. From the side a blue crackle erupted and sensing the danger in the move, the giant fox leaped back, out from the cover of the dust cloud.
A buxom blond woman jumped up at him as soon as he cleared the cloud a landed a solid punch to the foxes right shoulder. Kyuubi was surprised at the fact it actually hurt. As the woman lunged toward the fox again, Kyuubi whipped his head aside and flung Sasuke at the charging woman.
Tsunade caught the raven haired teen and jumped back to where several jounin were standing. Kyuubi stood and glared at the woman growling deeply, as she set the unconscious teen gently down. A little bit of blood was dripping off Sasukes arm and Kyuubi found himself drifting over to the roof top the woman had set him on.
The jounins jumped in front of the fox but were ignored by the beast as Kyuubi continued to walk to the odd raven haired teen that for some reason was drawing him in. The building was the same height as he was so Kyuubi set his front paws on the side of the building and stood on his hind legs to look over the roof top.
The demon did not know why Sasuke was appealing but the fact he was disturbed the great demon. Him, having feeling’s for these lousy humans, how absurd. At least it was just this one lousy human, if he had responded to all humans like this he would have to kill himself.
Growling at the woman that hovered over the dark haired teen and making her jump a little the great fox set his furred chin next to the dust covered form. Inhaling again Kyuubi tried to find out what the hell this brat had that drew him in. Finding the answer not in the teen sent but in his own.
Snarling viciously the fox jumped back away from the building and turned from the gathered shinobi to run out of the village. Jumping the far wall that separated the village from the forest.
Sasuke felt the arm around his shoulders and the hand on his forehead that was making green sparks dance under his eyelids. Taking a deep breath only to go in to a fit of coughing from the dust in the air. The raven haired teen looked up at Tsunade and the hokage set his shoulders down. Rolling his had to look over and feeling the pleasant buzz from the recent healing Sasuke saw the roof top crowded with wounded. Sakura was limping through the ranks heal who she could and calling one of the more experienced healers over if it was bad. Forcing himself to his elbows and feeling the wave of nausea wash over him Sasuke looked up at the hokage who seemed to be surveying the damage to the village.
“Why didn’t it kill me.”
His voice was rough and his throat was sore, his head was wonderfully not pounding in time with his heart.
She blanched and looked over to Kakashi and Jiraiya who had joined the group of jounin on the roof top. All the other shinobi had pulled each other out of the rubble, their injuries being attended to. All the able bodied shinobi had come to the roof top and were all looking to her. The older shinobi shifted their weight from foot to foot or some other nervous tick. The younger ones looked on eagerly wanting to know the answer to that question as well as how Kyuubi, killed by the fourth hokage, could come back.
“Well I guess it is about time for you all to know.”
She closed he eyes for a moment and made a fist.
“The fourth Hokage did not kill Kyuubi, he sealed him in to a baby. In order to protect the child he made a rule that no one was to talk about the fact that he contained the demon. He did this so that the younger generations would not treat that child with contemp, for something that was not his fault to begin with. But the people who remembered the fox, knew who had the demon inside of him and transferred their hated to the child and their children picked up on their parents loathing and hated the child anyway.”
The hokage paused to wipe a tear from her eye and Sasuke knew that this was not going to get better.
“The shinobi that contained the demon is Naruto. That’s why he could not kill you Sasuke. The demon is the reason for his ability to heal quickly and the bastards who attacked him gave him something to block the demon totally from him. It is possible that if they took Naruto to the edge of death then the fox could take over, only till the danger has past then he would pass out. But with Kyuubi blocked the only way he could get out would be to release the seal that held the demon.”
A few gasps of surprise from the younger shinobi. Sasuke could not believe that Naruto demon or not would rampage through Konaha.
“Why would he attack Konaha, Naruto wanted to be hokage and would die before he would let anything bad happen to his village.”
Tsunade looked down, sighed and looked back up at the waiting faces.
“There is irrefutable evidence that he was tortured. He might not of been in his right mind and the fox would try to find a way to get out if he could. When Kyuubi took over he would have total control and would harbor a grudge against us for trapping him.”
“So we have to find the monster and kill him before it comes back to finish the job.”
A jounin covered in scars shouted from the back. Several agreed with him. Most of the genins were in a state of shock over the news that Naruto not only held the feared demon but was tortured to bring it out. Kakashi was angrily shouting some thing back at the scared man. But Sasuke was to lost in thought to listen to Kakashi’s argument.
Some time when he was thinking his feet started to move. Down the path that Kyuubi took to leave the town.
‘Shit, I’m going after him. I’ll bring that fucking dobe back. Tsunade can reseal Kyuubi and Naruto will come back.’
By the time he had reached the wall, he was running and for the second time in his life, Sasuke left Konoha behind.
