Calm before the storm.

Still don't own them.

Warning: lemon.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sasuke was panting and he stumbled when he landed his jump onto the tree branch, wincing as it jarred his wounded leg. Since he had re-opened it in the fight with the bandits, he had managed to reopen it a least 5 times already. Every time the blood clotted enough for the stream of red to cease, he would have to do a complicated jump, or twist, or something, that despite him favoring his leg, would re-open the dang thing.
‘Almost there.’
The surroundings had turned familiar and the Uchiha knew that they were less then ten miles from the front gates of Konoha. Kiba was running ahead, working as the point man, his nose being able to detect enemies. Akamaru had the rear for the same reason. Naruto was running next to Lee, and the two kept getting farther and farther away from him.
The wound on his leg slowing him down and he refused to call out for the others to wait for him. They had been running non-stop ever since they had heard that the Akatsuki was in Konoha. Lee’s enthusiasm driving the nervous blonde on. Sasuke had not seen the blonde this worked up and ready to fight since their fight at the valley of the end. It was refreshing to know that after every thing that had happened, Naruto could still bounce back with his old vigor.
Despite all that Orochimaru had done to destroy the spark that gave Naruto his warmth that he was so attracted to. The warmth that drew him in like a moth to flame. The smiles and outrageous attitude that made him want to fight to keep them on the blonde’s face. The tan skin and sun kissed hair that just emphasized Naruto’s opalescent personality.
Just thinking about it made him smile, made his blood rush down to dick. Shit, just seeing Naruto like his old self was turning him on enough to make jumping through the trees much more awkward with his pants suddenly tighter.
Groaning, the dark haired teen jumped to the next tree branch and saw that Naruto and Lee had gotten farther away from him. Cursing the blood he could feel run down his leg, Sasuke sped up, trying to catch up to the blonde. The warm summer sun beat down and his clothes were already drenched in sweat. Reaching down to balance himself as he landed on the tree branch, his sweat slicked palm slipped on the smooth bark.
Unable to stop himself, he twisted painfully, hitting his wounded leg on the branch and sliding from his momentum. Clipping his shoulder on a smaller branch attached to the one he was trying to land on, he lost what was left of his grip on the tree branch and fell.
Hitting a few small branches before slamming on to a massive tree limb that hardly even moved as his weight hit. All the air rushed out of his lungs from the force of the impact. The raven-haired teen lie gasping on his back, watching the leaves that were knocked loose from his fall flutter down around him. Turning his head to see the still retreating green and orange forms, Sasuke forced himself to stand. Taking a step then collapsing to lie on his side, his wounded leg no longer able to hold his weight as blood gushed from the fully re-opened cut.
Sasuke grabbed his left leg, just above the knee where the blood was rushing out, squeezing as hard as he could and grimacing in pain. Still, he could hear the blood drops flow off the massive branch to hit the leaves below him in a crimson shower.
“Shit.”
He had fallen too far behind, the others did not hear his fall and there was no way that he could stop the blood flowing out of his leg on his own. Groaning, he let go of the cut and used a nearby branch to pull himself to his feet. He had to go after them. Keeping his left leg limp and not putting any weight on it, he managed a few steps before he stumbled.
Had it not been for the set of teeth that grabbed the side of his shirt, he would have fallen off the tree limb. As it was, he had overbalanced and the gentle tug from the teeth was all that was needed to make him fall backwards.
Akamaru yelped as Sasuke fell on top of him then rolled to his side to put pressure on the badly bleeding wound. He could feel the blood flow out between his fingers as he applied pressure, knowing that he could not lose much more and stay conscious.
A long howl from the pale dog beside him made Sasuke open his eyes and look up at the beast. After the howl, Akamaru snuggled up against his chest and made the little whining noises he made when he was talking with Kiba. The raven-haired teen could not understand them, but the warmth from the dog made him realize how cold he was feeling.
Closing his eyes again against the pain, he tried to shift to get a little more comfortable against the dog and away from the edge of the tree limb.
Lee had turned around at Akamaru’a howl and saw Sasuke as he jumped over the downed teen. With a shout to the others, he jumped down next to the bleeding Uchiha and wrapped his hands around the wound, applying more pressure than Sasuke had. The raven-haired teen made a pained noise and removed his own blood-covered hands, letting Lee apply pressure. Two solid thunks signified the arrival of Kiba and Naruto. Sasuke heard the dog lover inquired how bad it was.
Lee could only shake his head in response. “I can’t see it, but it’s bleeding like crazy.”
Naruto froze as soon as he saw Sasuke lying, curled on the tree branch, with blood dripping off to color the leaves below in a gory red. The blonde watched the scene wide-eyed as the feisty brunet knelt in front of Sasuke and started to undo the zipper on the black pants.
“What the hell?!” Sasuke knocked the hands away from his fly and wince in pain at the movement.
“We have to get a look at the wound, moron. Unless you want to not only walk into Konoha with no pants, you’ll have to fight your brother while free-balling if I cut them off of you.”
The raven haired teen growled and looked away, but let Kiba remove his pants, hissing in pain as the fabric was pulled pass the wound.
“Holy crap.”
The four-inch gaping wound had bits of the thread Tenten had used to stitch him up the first time still attached to the edges, it looked like he had made it bigger as well. Lee grabbed a spare shirt from his pouch and used it to press onto the wound. Kiba had removed the large pack from Sasuke’s back and had started to look through it for the first aid kit when a bark from Akamaru made him look up. The white dog was still pressing himself up against Sasuke’s chest and had started to make the little whimper whines he did when he ‘talked’ to Kiba.
“What!?! Tenten used the last of it to stitch him up the last time!?”
The dog barked in confirmation and Kiba dropped the pack.
“There’s nothing left to stitch him up with, so we either sear it shut, or we use a tourniquet. A tourniquet is a last resort so... Sorry Sasuke, but this is going to hurt like hell.”
“Like it doesn’t hurt already, Shit head!”
Sasuke hated this, he was weak and wounded, and it bothered him to no end that he was being helped. Worse yet, he needed their help and could not just send them away.
“We can’t do that, Kiba. When he ripped it open it did something to a vein, I think. If we sear it shut we could permanently damage the vein.”
“Well... Shit, what do we do?”
Lee and Kiba were going over the options, none of which was very promising, as Sasuke continued to bleed. Naruto took a deep calming breath. He could do this. He could do this.
The others looked up as the sunlight glinted off the raised kunai right before it plunged into the tan flesh of the blonde.
“Shit, Naruto.” Kiba jumped up to rush over to the blonde but the deep red and horrible chakra flowed out of the smaller teen and closed the fresh wound on his hand.
Looking over to his confused friends Naruto smiled. “I had to get him to give me chakra. Sorry, Sasuke, but this is going to burn.”
Naruto concentrated and forced the boiling red chakra to stay flowing in his blood stream. Normally it only did this if it had to heal him, and focusing it with out the automatic responses from the demon was a little difficult. When he was satisfied with the chakra pulsing through his veins, Naruto slit his wrist and put it to his lips, getting a small mouthful of blood before the chakra could heal him. If he had cut anything but a vein the injury would have healed instantly.
Jumping in front of the bewildered Sasuke, he sliced his hand and slammed his fresh wound against the slice on Sasuke’s leg. At the same time he pressed his crimson lips to the raven-haired teens.
Sasuke screamed against the lips, the demon chakra burning as it hit his leg. Naruto forced the chakra charged blood in to the stunned Uchiha’s mouth. Using his free hand, Naruto ran it down the front of the pale neck, making Sasuke swallow the blood. Concentrating harder now, Naruto pulled his face away from Sasuke’s and directed the chakra inside Sasuke to flow to where his hand was slowing the bleeding on the wound on the bastard’s leg.
Sasuke gagged on the thick metallic substance Naruto had made him swallow. Feeling the heat of it as it went down his throat. Instead of it dissipating as it hit his stomach, it seemed to separate in to many smaller chucks of heat and flow down towards his leg. As the warmth reached the wound on his leg, an ungodly painful burning sensation shot through him.
Naruto kept his hand on the gash as Sasuke screamed and started to thrash from the pain. Closing his eyes so he would not have to see the pale face contorted with pain, he concentrated on calling the chakra he had put in Sasuke to heal him. Directing it to the wound and forcing it to stay there.
If he had just put his cut hand to Sasuke’s wound, the surface area would of knitted back together, but the nicked vein and the deeper muscle damage in Sasuke’s leg would not get fixed. He had to heal Sasuke from the inside and close the damage on the vein. The chakra charged blood would hone in on him and when it encountered damaged flesh, it would heal it on the way back to his body.
The raven-haired teen screamed and lurched back, almost making Naruto lose contact with the wound. That was the biggest draw back to using the demon’s power to heal someone, the searing pain. Naruto’s body was used to dealing with the massive amounts of chakra the fox produced, other people were not.
Kiba and Lee stood back, wide eyed as Sasuke stopped yelling from pain and slumped forward in Naruto’s arms, unconscious. As the blond removed his hand they could see steam rise up from the now not only closed, but also disappearing wound, on Sasuke’s leg. The white line, that had been a debilitating injury, faded out in to pale perfect skin and several small nicks and scratches on his leg faded away as well.
Kiba shifted uncomfortably as Naruto held Sasuke to his chest and was gently rocking him. He saw as the blonde teen sighed and put his chin on the top of Sasuke’s head and held him tighter.
“He’ll need water when he wakes up.”
Numbly, Lee removed his water pipe and set next to the two, getting a soft thanks from Naruto. Sudden realization came to Kiba and a he grinned like mad at the two on the tree branch.
Shino had been pissed when he had come to tell him that he and Lee were going with Sasuke and Naruto back to Konoha. He had also mumbled something about them being together. At the time it did not make any sense to him. Of course their together, they had been in the same room for hours. But now seeing Naruto and the way he held Sasuke, instead of setting him down on the tree branch, he realized what Shino meant by ‘together’. After a few sniffs, Kiba got an evil glint in his eye.
“Hey, Naruto, Lee and I will go scout out what’s happening in Konoha. You stay and take care of Sasuke. We’ll meet up in say... 2 hours. Right here.”
The dog boy was grinning crazily at Naruto and flashed a peace sign at the blonde.
“Kiba, one of us should stay here with them if something happens.”
Kiba laughed, startling that other occupants of the tree branch
‘Something was going to happen alright, I can smell it already.’ “They’ll be fine. Sasuke is an ice prick, but a deadly one, and Naruto is no push over either. Come on I’ll race you.”
“A CHALLENGE!!!!! I accept, and if I lose I will do 300 laps around Konoha.” The green spandex clad teen had little fires burning in his eyes and one fist up and shaking.
“Sure... just remember when we get close to Konoha to close your mouth. I don’t want our location given away by your freaky white teeth.” The wild haired teen went up to the blonde, smirking.
“You owe me one for this, blondie.”
Confused, Naruto looked up at Kiba, who was gesturing to him, then to Sasuke.
“Come on, Kiba, we are wasting our precious flames of youth.”
Lee jumped from the tree branch oblivious to the innuendo Kiba was getting at.
Laughing, Kiba slapped Naruto on the shoulder before turning and running through the trees toward Konoha. Akamaru got up from Sasuke’s side and, after a measuring look at the two teens still on the tree branch, darted after the two racing shinobi. The whole time Lee was spouting crap about good oral hygiene as he raced Kiba.
Naruto watched them leave and continued to hold Sasuke to his chest, confused to Kiba’s meaning. Rubbing small circles on Sasuke’s back and feeling the soft, dark hair against his cheek, taking in the scent of the dark strands. After a while, the raven-haired teen groaned and moved a little. Naruto shifted positions so that as Sasuke woke up and started to puke up the blood that seriously upset his stomach, he made it over the edge of the tree branch.
The Uchiha heaved twice, and then Naruto put the water pipe in his hands and guided it to his mouth. The sick bastard swirled it around his mouth and spit it out before draining the pipe’s contents. Handing the now emptied pipe to the blonde, Sasuke wiped his mouth with the back of his sleeve. Looking down to his leg and seeing the non-existent wound he looked up at Naruto.
“When did you lean that, dobe?”
Naruto looked away from the pale form sitting in front of him that seemed to forget he was not wearing any pants. “Shijima wanted to know if I could use Kyuubi to heal others. Kiba and Lee are off scouting what we’ll encounter in Konoha.”
“Hn.” Sasuke had heard the discomfort in the blonde’s voice at having to talk about the vile doctor and the quick change of subject.
“Your pants are over there.” The blonde pointed over his shoulder at the place Kiba had thrown the garment.
“I know.” The raven haired teen stood up and walked over the crumpled pile that was his pants, snorting at the flies that had been attracted to the blood on the left pant leg. Going over to the discarded back pack Sasuke removed his own water pipe then doused the pant leg and rung it out. It was still red but not as pungent as before. Setting it up to dry, Sasuke went over and sat next to the oddly quite blonde.
“Still don’t think you’ll be accepted back?”
“I never was in the first place, why would it change?” Naruto was trying not to look at the red polka dotted shorts Sasuke was sporting, but the bright reds against the browns and greens of the forest drew his eye. He could not help but crack a smile, Sasuke looked goofy as all hell in his black, blood soaked shirt and the eye-catching shorts. The under garment was completely opposite anything he figured the stoic, ice bastard would ever wear.
“What happened to my boxers any way?”
Naruto looked away to hid his blush at being caught looking at the shorts, and of course to get out of saying that he was wearing Sasuke’s underwear.
Sasuke just grunted and wrapped an arm around the blonde. “How long are they going to be gone?”
“Kiba said 2 hours, which was half a hour ago.”
Sasuke grunted again as he pulled Naruto over so that the smaller teen was practically on top of him. Naruto, taking control of the situation and standing up for himself before the position had aroused him, and here was the perfect opportunity to alleviate some tension before their fight for Konoha.
“Plenty of time.” Sasuke whispered huskily before covering the blonde’s mouth with his own. He felt the tensed muscles of Naruto’s back as he wrapped his arms around the smaller teen, gently sucking and nibbling on the lips, knowing that Naruto would open up when he was ready. He could feel Naruto’s little shifting and halfhearted attempts to pull away before the blonde resigned himself to the kiss.
The hesitant mouth opened and Sasuke took his time before giving in to the invitation, trying to get the tongue to meet him halfway, to get Naruto to kiss him with as much fervor as he was pouring in to it. After a few moments of trying to draw the other tongue out, the raven-haired teen dipped his tongue in the awaiting mouth. Caressing the dobe’s unmoving tongue, encouraging the nervous blonde to participate.
Naruto felt the tongue on his own and started to suck on it and felt Sasuke deepen the kiss. He felt the strong, pale arms wrap around him in a supporting, not restraining, way. He felt how Sasuke had one hand at the nape of his neck, fingers buried in his blonde hair. How the raven haired teen turn his head a little to the side so their nose’s would not smash against each other as Sasuke alternated between licking the roof of his mouth and tussling with his tongue.
All of it was making him feel as if was drowning in the pale skin and dark eyes, in the warmth that seemed to surround him as he moaned from the skillful administrations of Sasuke’s mouth. It was pulling him deeper in to the heady bliss and as they paused for breath, he could not help the little whine from escaping him from the tragic loss of contact. Then the quick intake of breath as Sasuke kissed the lines on one tan cheek, drifting back to nibble on his earlobe.
He had buried his hands in the dark strands of Sasuke’s hair and held on as the hot tongue made its way down his neck. Feeling a shiver run up his spine as the raven-haired teen lapped at the hollow in his collarbone and leaned forward to press himself into the skilled wielder of the tongue.
Pale hands slid under the orange fabric of his jacket and pulled it from the thin shoulders. Flinching as the cloth was removed and discarded behind him, but gasping as Sasuke press his lips to the newly exposed flesh. Pleasure once again drowning him in the administrations of the Uchiha.
Moaning as the raven haired teen continued to nibble on his neck, he felt the toned chest press against his and hands on his shoulder blades, guiding him to lay back. Giving in to the push, letting himself be set on his back, and feeling the hands retreat down his sides and dip under his shirt.
Startled blue eyes shot open at the sensation of hands drifting up his abs. A stab of panic coursed through him as fingers grasped one of his nipples. Letting out a muffled cry, the blonde crawled backwards, out from under Sasuke to grab the discarded jacket and hold it over him as he sat shaking.
Sasuke took several deep breaths to clear his head and to make sure he was thinking with the one on his shoulders. Getting up, he walked over to Naruto and sat next to the frightened teen. Watching as Naruto shuddered at his closeness, then pulling the blonde in to a soft hug. Setting the whisked face against his collarbone and running a hand down Naruto’s back in a soothing rhythm. “It’s ok, I went to fast. I’m sorry.”
Naruto pulled away and Sasuke let his hands fall limp to his sides. “I’m the one who is messed up.”
The blonde shuddered and looked away from Sasuke. He was the one who was raped by the snake repeatedly; he was the one who was shaking in fear just from the touch of another person. Sasuke had no reason to apologize to him.
Because like every thing else, this to, was his entire fault.
“No.”
Not looking at the raven-haired teen, Naruto pulled the jacket over his shoulders. “Yes, I am. I can’t even let you touch me with out flinching. We should be preparing for the fight, not making out. ”
Standing up and taking a step away from Sasuke, the blonde dusted off his pants and started to pull on the jacket. Suddenly he was pinned to the trunk of the tree by a toned chest and a pale arm on each side of his head. Choking back the wave of panic, he punched out, nailing Sasuke’s shoulder and making him step back.
“Lee and Kiba are on recon and will be back to this spot, so we should not leave. How can we plan if we do not know what we are up against?” Sasuke was still standing close to him, still blocking the way, and forcing the blonde to put his back to the tree trunk.
Reaching out and cupping the trapped teen’s face, Sasuke ran his thumb across the cheek.
Naruto could not stop himself from wincing away from the gentle caress.
“It’s not your fault that your like this Naruto.” The raven-haired teen closed the distance between them and wrapped his arms around the shaking blonde, pressing his face in to the crock of Naruto’s neck. “Never think it was your fault that it happened to you.”
The barely whispered voice sent shivers down his spine and he felt the hot swipe of a tongue on his shoulder. Shaking, Naruto raised his hand and set it on the nape of Sasuke’s neck, pressing the face against his flesh as the raven-haired bastard resumed nibbling on his neck.
Clenching his eyes shut against the onslaught of sensations Sasuke was submitting him to, Naruto leaned back against the tree and moaned. The more the Uchiha heir licked and nibbled at his neck, the weaker his knees seemed to get. Just when he thought his legs were going to give out, Sasuke dropped to his knees in front of him and pressed the side of his face against his stomach.
Letting out a squeak of surprise at the new arrangement, he tried to side step away, but Sasuke placed one hand on each of his hips, holding him still. “Let me do this for you.”
He felt the husky words on the flesh of his stomach, heard the desire in the voice and could see the dark onyx pools of Sasuke’s eyes looking up at him. Shivering, then looking away, he felt the hands on his hips loosen.
Sasuke was never going to force him if he did not want to. He could say no and not have to go through with it. Sasuke would not touch him he told him not to, but he wanted the raven-haired teen to touch him. To kiss him and make him feel warm from the contact.
“Ok.”
The grip returned to his hips and lips ghosted his stomach. “Sure?”
Nodding, he put his shaking hand in Sasuke’s hair; trying to calm his raging nerves by feeling the silky strands run through his fingers. Unintentionally pulling on the raven hair when his pants were undone. Letting out a whimper when the Uchiha felt the silk shorts he was wearing.
If Sasuke was going to say something about the location of his AWOL boxers, it was cut short by the barely contained whimpers and shudders from the blonde. Naruto was terrified, shaking, with his eyes clenched so tightly shut, his face look distorted.
The shorts were pulled down to join his pants around his ankles and he could not stifle the sob that wrenched out of his throat as the cool air hit his neither regions.
He had not meant to cry. He wanted to let Sasuke touch him. He was not going to tell him no because he wanted to do this. But the good feeling from Sasuke’s touches were over powered by his fears and responses that had been ingrained in to him from the 7 month of torment.
There was a tug on the dark shirt he still wore, and Naruto let himself fall to his knees and in to the awaiting arms.
Sasuke held the sobbing blonde, holding him as he cried. Murmuring reassurances and running his hand through the sunshine hair, making sure to rub his thumb against the shell of the ear. The Uchiha felt when the thin shoulders stopped shaking from sobs and continued to hold the blonde teen tightly.
“What do you want to do Naruto? I’m not going to try that again, at least not for a while.”
Tan hands clutched Sasuke tightly and the whiskered face pressed in to his chest. “Stay like this.”
“Ok.”
The Uchiha shifted so that he had his back to the tree trunk and Naruto sat curled against him in his lap. Reaching down he pulled the silk boxers back up so that Naruto was covered and heard the soft thanks from the blonde.
Grunting as Naruto shifted and brushed his hip against his hard on. Sasuke was doing his best to ignore it and will it away, but the object of his desire was sitting in his lap clinging to him. Five long minuets of fidgeting and shifting, trying to make it die down, but only making it throb more.
Naruto had twisted around and had his back against his chest and Sasuke was sure that the blonde could feel it pressing against him. Grunting and rolling his head back against the tree, forcing himself to not rub against the form in his lap. A warm hand dipped in to his pants and wrapped around his throbbing erection.
Making an embarrassing yelp at the contact, Sasuke grabbed Naruto’s shoulders.
“What are you doing?”
The blonde looked over his shoulders and grinned.
“Getting you off.”
“No... It’s Ok.... I’m fine.” It was taking all his metal fortitude to not thrust in to the firm yet giving warmth wrapped around his over eager dick.
“Just let me, Ok?”
Before he could respond, Naruto slid his hand down the length of his engorged penis. Letting out a hearty moan, he set his forehead against the blonde’s shoulder. Still holding tightly to his arms as Naruto continued to stroke him. Throwing his head back and banging it against the tree trunk as he came, then falling limply against Naruto’s back.
Panting as the pinpricks of pleasure washed up and down his spine, Sasuke felt Naruto move away from him and wash off his hand. The blonde put on his pants and jacket, returning to sit next to the still orgasm muddled raven-haired teen.
Even after Sasuke stopped panting the comfortable silence carried on. The blonde started to fidget after a while and the raven-haired teen slumped over to wrap his arm around Naruto.
“What’s wrong?”
“Sasuke, what happens if you come across Itachi in Konoha?”
“I’ll kill him.”
Naruto opened his mouth to say something else but decided not to. It was pointless to try and get him to change his answer. The same way it would have been pointless to yell at him for not saying he was wounded and needed help. If he had said something Naruto would not have believed the person was Sasuke.
There was a howl as Akamaru jumped down to the branch Sasuke and Naruto were sharing. The white dog looking at them oddly, and then doing a canine rendition of a grin. Kiba and Lee jumped down soon after, and after a few sniffs, Kiba grinned and chuckled.
“Have fun you two?”
Naruto was blushing and Sasuke just glared. Lee looked bewildered and scratched his head.
“So what did you find out?”
Lee snapped to attention and delivered his report. “The people who are in Konoha are trying to cover themselves up. There are only the normal amount of guards, but none of them are people I have ever seen in Konoha. We managed to get a quick look inside as well. It looks normal except for one thing.”
“There are no shinobi out and about.” Kiba interrupted Lee’s monolog and the green spandex lad had rivers of tears running down his face.
“They are trying to make it seam normal but I did not see a single shinobi. Genin to Jounin, there was no forehead protector or vest on a single person. There were a lot of shady people about as well. People I had never smelt before.”
“How many people?” Sasuke had listened intently to the findings and needed all the info he could get.
“I counted at least 75.”
“I got about 50 before I had to leave. The highest concentration is around the Hokage tower. There was some kind of red light coming from it.”
“A seal barrier.”
The three shinobi looked over to Naruto two of which had shocked expressions.
“A red light like that would be a barrier made from seals. If it was purple it would be generated by a person using a jutsu.”
Kiba cocked his head to the side looking at the blond like his head had just fallen off. “How do you know that?”
“They were used against Kyuubi all the time.”
“Ok, so how do we stop it?”
“It’s red because it’s a blood contract with the person or people who placed the seals. The more people who used their blood to seal something, the stronger the barrier. The only way Kyuubi got past them was killing the people who placed the seals.”
Lee jumped up and shouted. “All we have to do is kill the people who placed the seals to make the barrier. I’ll bet that’s where Hokage-sama is.”
Sasuke rubbed his temples and shook his head.
Kiba smacked Lee upside the head to quite the spandex lad’s insistence that it was a good plan.
“Why not??? That’s the heaviest guarded area and the barrier would hold until the person who made the seal died, plus that’s the first place you would go.”
“LEE, the people who put the seals in place are the top nine all time bad guys. Even Orochimaru was afraid of some of them, and you say just kill them off like it’s a walk in the park? Plus there are over a hundred goons. I say go get Gai and the others. Sasuke?”
The raven-haired teen looked up when he heard his name. “No, they know we are supposed to be here today. If we run back to get Gai and Neji they will know something’s up. It’s an obvious trap. If any Jounin came up to the gate he would know something was wrong, but we have to get to the Hokage to seal the demon in Naruto so we would go any way. It’s a trap within a trap many times over.
“If I remember correctly, a seal barrier with multiple sealers is made so that the seal takes from all of them equally, regardless of individual power. So, if we kill one of the Akatsuki, the seal will weaken by one ninth. If the Hokage and the other jounin are in there, we have to count on them being able to escape a weakened barrier, because we can only kill a few members of the Akatsuki.”
“So you have a plan?”
“Yes.”
Grinning, Kiba went over and slung an arm around Narutos shoulders. “You should let him get off more often. He’s a nicer guy when he gets laid.” Kiba was still laughing even as Sasuke punched him away from Naruto and in to the trunk of the tree.
