Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ Bunri, Yugo ❯ Godaime's Tower ( Chapter 1 )
[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
As the fox moved through Konoha, easily suppressing his enormous amount of chakra and masking his presence, his mind worked furiously. Something about his separation was... Off... Supposedly, if a tailed beast was torn from its Jinchuuriki, then the human would die. Yet, Naruto's breathing was even as the boy lay in his arms. But after discarding at least forty-seven theories in the last few minutes, the fox settled for saving his questions for Godaime.
When the fox barged into the hallway that led to the current Hokage's office, to put it simply, he received quite a few stares. He unceremoniously kicked in the door to the small area, even though it was unlocked. He then carefully placed Naruto on a small couch near the woman's desk, violently demanding that she inspect him for any possible damage and demolishing a small table near him in the process. He had to admit that the sound of splintering wood somehow calmed his nerves.
"What the hell is wrong with you, Naruto!? Is this some kind of joke!?"
Tsunade's furious shriek rang through the fox's ears, making him grit his teeth and roll his eyes. He also used his time to snarl menacingly at all who approached what remained of the once grand oak doors that led into the healer’s office.
"Your voice is annoying. I'm not Naruto, and this is no joke. Now I suggest you do as I say before I lose my patience..."
"What do you mean you're not Naruto? Of course you are!" Tsunade said, attempting to calm herself by massaging her temples.
But after the fox had said that, Tsunade's eyes slowly wandered up to take in the other's appearance, and a gasp escaped her lips. Though the other could easily pass as Naruto's brother, the differences between the two were astonishing. The other appeared much older, perhaps seventeen, and his body build could be accurately guessed from what was visible of him. He was obviously more sculpted than Naruto, his lean form blessed with spectacular strength even though his muscles didn't have much bulk to them.
His whisker markings were more pronounced than Naruto's, the feral markings marring his otherwise flawless face. His hair was longer than Naruto's, a bit shaggier and not the golden color of the other's hair. His hair was a more orange color, red streaks highlighting the mess of currently uncombed locks. Upon further inspection, it was apparent that the other's eyes were a mixture of red and gold, pupils dark slits against the stunning color. Also, the fox's ears were pointed, and his fingernails elongated into sharpened points, as well as his canines. Had the creature left his chakra to fluctuate at its whim, nine chakra tails would be visible behind him, each one flicking in annoyance. The identity of the creature was the nine-tailed fox known as Kyuubi.
Eventually, after Tsunade's shock had subsided, the woman clambered to her feet and rushed over to the boy on the couch. Her hand pressed against Naruto's forehead as she knelt down next to him, pressing her ear against his chest. His heartbeat was even, but his skin was warm to the touch. And she didn't like the dried blood on his hands, nor the splinters that jutted out of his flesh at odd angles. Sending a suspicious glance towards the other, she carefully set to work removing the wood from the blonde's abused hands.
After what seemed likes hours of careful work, she collapsed into the plush chair behind her desk, her eyes focusing on the fox embodied before her."If he's ailing from anything, it's more likely to be shock than anything physical. Sasuke leaving hit him harder than anyone else and it seems that he's taking out pent up frustration in unhealthy ways. I've noticed signs of malnutrition and sleep deprivation..." Tsunade's voice was tired as she explained the teenager's fragile state. "And now he's even weaker... But what I don't get is-"
"We're separated and he's not dead? Yeah, I was wondering about that too..." Kyuubi cut in, waving his hand dismissively. "I'll take care of him from here..."
"And how can I trust you to take care of him!?" Tsunade's voice was shrill as she leapt to her feet, her chair collapsing behind her as she pointed an accusing finger at the other. "You'd kill us all before you did anything helpfu-"
This time, Tsunade was cut off by Kyuubi's hand clenching her throat, his eyes flashing a blood red.
"When you're trapped in a human's body, watching him suffer for over FIFTEEN god damn years, THEN you can lecture me!" Kyuubi roared furiously, tossing Tsunade to the floor. After that eruption, he vanished, Naruto's frail form disappearing along with him...
