Chapter Seven: LetÕs Do DinnerI feel something moist and cold on my face. ÒWhat the fuck?Ó I say groggily. Then I am submerged in underwater. I come up spluttering, my eyes flying open to connect with a greatly amused set of black eyes. ÒGood morning my sweet. HowÕs the hangover?Ó I cringe and sink back into the tub. ÒUGH. I feel like shit. Leave me alone.Ó He laughs and gets up from his crouched stance. ÒSomeone needs a proper wake up.Ó As soon as he says it, the window is flown open and the curtains moved to the side. I cry out in pain and I shut my eyes tight. ÒBastard! And why am I in a tub?Ó His eyes twinkle. ÒYou wouldnÕt wake up. I had to wake you up somehow. Now get up and get dressed. You have a lot of work to do today.Ó I sigh and lift myself out of the tub. ÒWater.Ó I croak. Since when did my throat get so parched? ÒHere you are dear.Ó He hands me a tall class of cool liquid that I immediately empty. I lick the rest of the water off my lips before I hand him back the glass. ÒThanks.Ó He smiles. ÒOh, almost forgot. Here.Ó He hands me two small pills. ÒA tranquilizer? Honestly Kakash-.Ó He smiles. ÒNope. Pills for your headache. Though come to think of it a tranquilizer might not be a bad idea next time.Ó I frown. ÒDonÕt even think about it.Ó I throw the rest of my pink hair up in a pony tail and I walk downstairs. My killer headache is almost gone. The first thing I notice is the cleaning supplies sitting on the floor. The second thing I notice is the dusty floor and dirty windows. Hmm...thatÕs funny. How come I didnÕt notice that before. Kakashi leans against a pillar. Look how delicious he is Sakura. Look at him leaning so casual against that pillar. For once I donÕt shut my inner self up. He does look good against that pillar. I notice his simples clothes. A fresh polo and a pair of comfy looking jeans. His silver hair is messed a bit, but in a sexy bed head way. I blush and he smiles at me. ÒAhh finally up? Good, start cleaning. The floors need to be washed and the windows need a good scrub. Also, be a dear and vacuum a bit.Ó I frown. ÒFine.Ó I say between clenched teeth. I grab the pail full of soupy water and a sponge and I get down to business. I collapse exhausted in a kitchen chair. ÒTired?Ó He asks. I smile. ÒCompletely exhausted, actually.Ó He laughs. ÒIÕm making dinner tonight for us. I thought you would like to eat something other than cereal and pop tarts.Ó I laugh, becoming excited. ÒYes I would love to eat something other than pop tarts.Ó Their is a comfortable silence between us while he scurries around the kitchen getting our dinner ready. ÒI guess I do really wanna learn how to cook.Ó I break the silence. ÒYou do? I thought for sure IÕd have to force you.Ó He acts very surprised. ÒYeah well, I changed my mind. It looks fun cooking. Kinda soothing. And then you get to eat it!Ó I say, clapping my hands together. We both burst out laughing. Are we bonding? Me and Kakashi, friends? Who knew. ÒSo Kakashi tell me about yourself.Ó Kakashi frowns. ÒWhat do you want to know?Ó I smile. ÒYou know, the basics. Favorite color, favorite food, places you most want to visit, favorite book and movie, first girlfriend, favorite month, you know? Just silly stuff like that.Ó I smile across the table at him. ÒOkay, my favorite color is green. Sea foam green.Ó He stares intently into my eyes and thatÕs when I realize something. My eyes are sea foam green. His favorite color. I immediately blush. Oh god Sakura. Your pathetic. I smile over at him. ÒAs for my favorite food, I love the whole traditional thanksgiving feast. With the turkey, cranberry sauce, moist stuffing. ItÕs my favorite dinner.Ó I laugh. ÒYour making me hungry and I just ate. What else?Ó I ask. Ò My favorite book is Icha Icha Paradise.Ó My mouth opens wide and some food dribbles out of it. ÒPervert!Ó I say. I am now hysterically laughing and Kakashi is going very red. ÒSorry.Ó I say when I can finally breath. ÒIÕm so sorry. It was just a surprise.Ó ÒItÕs fine. My favorite movie is Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. I love fast cars.Ó I smile. ÒIÕve never seen it before.Ó I say. ÒNo kidding. IÕll rent it one time and we can watch it.Ó I smile again. ÒThat sounds like a date.Ó He laughs from the other end of the table. ÒMaybe it is. Maybe it is.Ó Òall right Kakashi, tell me more about you.Ó He sighs. Òall right. My favorite month is winter because of the snow. It washes everything out. Just an expanse of quiet white. ItÕs relaxing.Ó ÒI like that month too.Ó I say. ÒIÕve already been pretty much everywhere. So I donÕt really have a particular place I want to go. Hmmmm, my first girlfriend was probably Rin. We went to school together. She was my first. We broke off after because we realized our differences.Ó He looks slightly sad. Like maybe he had wanted it to work between them. Suddenly he smiles over at me. Òall right missy. Now its your turn.Ó I grin. ÒOkay. My favorite color is bright red because itÕs lively and wild.Ó I wink at Kakashi who laughs. ÒOh god. IÕve got a wild one on my hands.Ó I smile. ÒMy favorite food is black licorice and my favorite book is this book about herbs. I donÕt know the name of it because I borrowed it from my friend a long time ago, but I always loved it. I wanted to be a nurse when I got older, but I went through some hard times and nursing wasnÕt as important.Ó I know that tears are threading to fall down my cheeks, but I look up at him. His face is drawn together and I canÕt read his expression. I quickly look down again and I compose myself before moving on. ÒI donÕt have a favorite movie and I have always wanted to visit Hawaii. It just seems like this beautiful paradise where you can bask in the sun and sip cool lemonade.Ó I grin. ÒSounds nice.Ó Kakashi says. HeÕs grinning now too. ÒHmmm, you already know my favorite month and IÕve never had a boyfriend before.Ó I rush through the last bit slightly embarrassed. I look up from my hands to his face. He looks shocked, but then he quickly masks his surprise. ÒWhy not?Ó I shrug. ÒJust never had the chance.Ó He looks puzzled. ÒDoes that mean....Ó He letÕs the rest of the sentence fall away. ÒYes. I am still a virgin.Ó I whisper, waiting for him to laugh. I hear nothing, so I look up. He isnÕt laughing, or smiling for that matter. Just taking in the new information. I feel uncomfortable. Nice Sakura. Tell a guy you hardly know that your a virgin. Smooth move. ÒIÕm just gonna go wash my dish.Ó I get up quickly and head for the kitchen. IÕm in bed thinking over our dinner together. Knock, Knock, Knock. ÒYes?Ó I say. ÒHey.Ó Kakashi comes in the room. ÒSorry about dinner.Ó He smiles sheepishly. ÒItÕs fine.Ó This is awkward. ÒListen, I just wanted to tell you that iÕm not put off by the fact that your still a virgin.Ó I smile. ÒI know. I just felt stupid after telling you that. Like it was a weakness or something.Ó He frowns. ÒItÕs not a weakness. I just wasnÕt expecting it. So yeah, thatÕs what I came in here to tell you. Night then.Ó I smile. ÒGoodnight Kakashi.Ó He turns towards the door, but stops. ÒCan I ask you a question?Ó He sounds nervous. ÒSure, ask away.Ó He sighs. ÒCan I kiss you goodnight? On the cheek?Ó My hands begin to sweat. ÒUgh, sure.Ó He bends over the bed and his lips grazed my right cheek lightly before he places a warm kiss on the center of it. My insides are going crazy. He lifts his head slightly and looks down at me. Warm fuzzes travel from the tip of my head down to my toes. Then suddenly his lips are crushed against mine. Soft as velvet and sweet as honey. I sink into them, enjoying this moment entirely to much. Just as suddenly as it happened, he stops. ÒIÕm sorry. I got carried away.Ó He whispers. ÒDonÕt be sorry. I liked it.Ó I whisper back. Darkness swells around us and he gently kisses the tip of my nose. ÒGoodnight lovely Sakura.Ó I smile. He thinks iÕm lovely! ÒGoodnight Kakashi.Ó
