Title: Child at Heart: Getting Scolded
Notes: Oh, I'm so tired. Not much change in this chapter, but it's a little bit better.

Sakura kept staring into the direction Neji had walked off towards the village, his body slowly disappearing into the faceless crowd. She could feel her teammates carefully watching her; waiting for an explanation for Neji's presence. The quiet and eerie atmosphere was suddenly disturbed by a hyperactive Naruto.

"Sakura-chan!!! I didn't know you were dating Neji!!! Hinata-chan will be so happy!!! Ah! We could even go on a double date!!!"

He was silenced by a quick, but yet hard blow to the head by Sasuke. By the look of the blow it was very violent, which meant Sasuke was extremely upset and was probably in one of his well-known moods.

"Ah, Sasuke that wasn't necessary," Kakashi said.

"The idiot can't keep his mouth shut!!" Sasuke venomously snapped.

Kakashi heaved a dramatic sigh and shook his head. Sakura quickly ran to the blond boy and inspected his head.

She nudged him a little to wake him up, "Ne, Naruto...wake up. Naruto," she shook him a little harder, "Naruto wake up...we have a mission."

Naruto began to stir and slowly sat up rubbing his forehead. Sakura could hear him mutter under his breath something about Sasuke being a bastard and how he desperately needed to get laid, but in the end he was fine which made Sakura quite happy. She stood up and took a quick glance at Kakashi, who was already enjoying reading his Icha Icha Paradise, then she glanced at Sasuke who was glaring in the direction Neji walked off into.

Odd...He's a bit more moody than usual. I'd better keep my distance; I hope Naruto doesn't agitate him any further...

"Ara, I almost forgot," Kakashi announced motioning for team seven to gather around him, "Remember that this mission is very important."

"Ah!!! We already know that Kakashi-sensei!!!" hissed Naruto.

"You didn't let me finish, Naruto," Kakashi said, which earned him a smack over the head by Sakura, "Your mission is to gather information that deals with scrolls that may possibly contain forbidden jutsu. There are a number of ninjas who after these scrolls. If there are ninjas using these scrolls then you are to find out who they are and their purpose. The outsides of the scrolls contain the kanji for child. It is said that the scrolls contain powerful jutsu that can easily affect any ninja, no matter how powerful he or she is. Any questions?"

"Wait a minute Sensei, that just contradicts itself. So, these scrolls do contain powerful jutsu, but your uncertain that they contain forbidden jutsu, and there is a possibility that its both, but not really. It could just be a hoax. These scroll probably don't even exist! Our job is to find information dealing with these scrolls, and if there are ninjas using it then we have to find out who they are and why they are using it. We are just being sent on a fucking wild goose chase!!!"

"Watch your mouth Sakura," Kakashi's tone changed, "Hokage-sama has a hunch about these scrolls and she is very urgent to have these scrolls within her reach. She wants to make sure they are in her custody instead of Orochimaru's or anybody else who can cause harm to innocent people."

Sakura hesitated a bit before speaking once more, "Sorry sensei."

"That's alright Sakura, just don't ever let it happen again," he said while patting Sakura on her head. Sakura's blood began to boil, she was eighteen years old for crying out loud and she was still being patted on the head like a little girl.

"Stop treating me like a child, Kakashi-sensei!!!" Sakura swatted his hand away from her head and could see his eye crinkle into a small smile.

Damn that man and his mask!!!

"If you're done whining Sakura, then I would like to get this mission started right away," Sasuke sarcastically said. Sakura whipped her head around and glared daggers at him.

"What...what did you say?!" Sakura yelled.

"You heard me," Sasuke quickly responded, feeling his superiority get the best of him.

Sakura was indeed starting to loose her temper, but before she could blow, Kakashi interrupted.

"That's enough you two! This is supposed to be a team, and so far all three of you have been getting on each other's nerves! This mission requires teamwork and if you three can't handle it then there is no reason for team seven to do this mission!"

Everyone became silent and stayed silent for a minute until Kakashi spoke again, "Try your best to get along. This is a really important mission and Hokage-sama chose you three, so don't screw this up. Understood?"

All three heads nodded in agreement.

"Good. Well, good luck guys. I guess I'll see you three in about two weeks." Kakashi said and with a puff of smoke he was gone.

I am going to hate this fucking mission!!! Oh, well...Ahh!! Why is Sasuke looking at me like that?!?! I swear if he tries anything funny during the mission I'll make sure he never restores his clan!!!

"Lets get this mission over with," an irritated Sasuke said while swiftly making his way towards the gates of the village.
