Chapter 10: Capturing Family
Iruka didn't know what to make of the situation; for one a strange man whose face was obscured by darkness had invited himself into the sensei's apartment and was now sitting on Iruka's couch, as the well mannered dolphin made him a cup of hot tea.
"Iruka?" the mysterious man asked. "You are Iruka Umino, are you not?" he repeated this time clarifying his question.
"Um, yes?" Iruka answered still unsure of the implications brought on by such a simple question. Why had he let this man into his home in the beginning?
"Well that's a relief. Come now Iruka-chan we must be on our way." The man stood up grabbing the sensei's hand and forcibly pulling him out of his apartment. The man had his hands full trying to take Iruka away, because the brunette wasn't giving up without a fight.
"Who do you think you are?" Screaming he tried to pull his wrist out of the man's iron grip. "Release me this instant, I won't hesitate to call the cops on you."
"You know your cute when your angry." His voice was nonchalant but his words effectively stopped the younger man's struggling. The utter shock on Iruka's face was replaced by a blush that erupted from the base of his neck and enveloped his face in a bright crimson.
"Wha-WHAT!!" Iruka's blush spread farther and his stuttering got worse. "Who a-are you? Wha-what are you d-doing h-here?"
"Well I was on this wonderful road of life when a prince crossed my path and asked me to protect the father of his princess. Of course I couldn't very well deny a prince's wish so off I went in search of this unknown man and that is how I found myself at your doorstep."
Okay, dumbfounded would be an understatement to the expression on Iruka's face. He was completely clueless his mind held a blank and nothing registered in his brain. He didn't notice when the man had wrapped his arms around his slim waste nor did he feel the slight tug as he was pulled out of the door. Iruka was too busy trying to wrap his mind around the man's words, desperately looking for any source of understanding among them. A teacher such as himself should be able to figure out what the stranger meant, but his explanation was pure gibberish. Anyone with a straightforward mind like Iruka would have a hard time making out whatever tom-foolery had just come out of that man's mouth.
"My name's Hatake," a clear and precise voice broke through Iruka's confused state. He looked up to see a mask covering a majority of the man's face. One of his eyes was closed as it held a slash that cut straight down leaving a not so unsightly but almost alluring gash on his features.
"Ha-hatake-san, if you wouldn't mind releasing me..."
"It's Hatake Kakashi," he interrupted.
'Obviously this man isn't much on small talk or listening,' Iruka thought as he tried to finish his sentence. “Release me Hatake. Release me now."
Smiling, or what Iruka could make out as smiling from beyond the mask, Kakashi moved one of his arms from the brunettes face and used his hand to grab hold of Iruka's chin and point his face downward.
"I can't very well do that as you see we are no where near any ground."
His eyes gazing southward Iruka was greeted by green pastures and an expanse of blue skies with a few clouds that still lingered beneath them. His eyes doubled in size and he placed an inhuman grip on Kakashi's clothes.
"What's going on here? This defies all known laws of logic; there is no possible way that we can be flying. I must be dreaming that's it. I probably just had a hard day at work, it's most likely its after affects that's all."
"Does this really surprise you? I thought you would be thrilled at getting a chance fly. Master Uchiha constantly reminds me how those without wings yearn to touch the sky."
"Master Uchiha? Wait do you mean..."
"Yes, I am talking about that Uchiha, the only Sasuke Uchiha that you and I both have a connection with. Didn't Naruto tell you of his lineage and how he is a demon prince?"
Iruka couldn't speak he was surprised yes but it didn't cover that ache of disappointment in his heart. How could Naruto, the person he thought family keep such a huge secret from him?
"Don't worry I'm sure the boy has his reasons, we're going to descend now they are in my line of view, are you ready?"
The brunette nodded sullenly as the two descended they landed beside a wobbly Naruto who was leaning against a smiling Sasuke for support. Iruka smiled almost immediately hiding any depressing thoughts that had entered his mind.
"Naruto, Sasuke-kun," he acknowledged the two with that teacher smile still plastered on his face.
"I-Iruka-sempai!" the blond exclaimed as he looked straight at his teacher. "But how? I mean, I haven't told anyone how is it you..."
"I sent Kakashi to find him; it was obvious my brother was going to go after the human you hold dear. My brother's not dumb and knowing Hinata she already has the blood of a pure heart."
"Wait! You mean Hinata's a vampire?"
"Yes, she's a vampire. Now let me finish, the faster we get trough this the sooner we can make a plan to save ourselves." With a nod of his head Naruto assured Sasuke that he wouldn't interrupt again. "Knowing Itachi instead of going after me he would automatically attack someone he knew couldn't protect themselves. If Iruka-sensei had been captured they would threaten him in order for Naruto to come to an agreement. Since, a vampire's body is more durable than that of a demon they would put Naruto in a position that would cause me to come to his rescue therefore sacrificing myself for his sake. When the demon inside of Naru is released due to my selfless act it will kill him for his treachery and I will be locked inside my cabin with my koi's death replaying again and again behind my closed eyelids."
"So, w-what should we do Sasuke?"
"I have to fully turn you Naruto, but I can't do that until the full moon and that isn't until tomorrow night. For now all we can do is keep out of sight and lay low."
"We're will we stay if where trying to lay low, Sasuke?" Kakashi asked wondering if his master had all the answers.
"I know where," Iruka cut in with a sigh, catching everyone's attention immediately. "We'll stay with Jiraiya and his sister Tsunade."
"Not the old hag, and her perv of a brother," Naruto whined.
"Alright then let's hurry, we have until nightfall before they come looking for us." Wrapping his arms around his lover Sasuke stretched his wings tearing holes in the back of his shirt. With one mighty jump the raven flapped his wings to stay airborne. A few moments later Kakashi was right behind them; Iruka pointing out the way.
By the time they had got there the sun had completely set. The building wasn't huge but then again it wasn't tiny either. It was a modern 1800 style building with supportive pillars and intricate carvings on the scaffolding. The group didn't even bother knocking on the door, though Iruka had suggested it. An unlocked door meant an open invitation, at least that's what Sasuke told everyone before barging in.
Eerie quiet place, those three words described it in a heartbeat. But unlike everyone else Iruka wasn't fazed and it wasn't until the silent wasn't broken by rambunctious laughter or some hysterical event that would have the siblings laughing at their despair did he begin to worry.
"No one's home," the brunette whispered surprise evident in his voice. "Something's wrong."
"What is it, Iruka-sempai?" the blond asked, eyeing his teacher's tensed state.
"You wait here, okay? I just need to check up on something." With that the sensei left the four of them and walked out of the room.
Without hesitation Sasuke ordered Kakashi to follow Iruka; if something was wrong it could very well put the only human in their group in more danger than he already was.

"Sasu, what's going on? Why do you think Iruka-sempai looked so worried?"
"I don't know, but we'd better go look around, something doesn't seem right." Slipping his arm around Naruto's waist Sasuke led them in a different direction than the one Iruka and Kakashi had gone.
------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------
Iruka had been quiet for the most part, but the same could not be said about his companion. Every chance he got Kakashi sent lecherous comments in his direction, most of them ranging from mild perverted humor all the way to the kind that made the sensei's cheeks burn.
"For the millionth time already, if you refuse to act your age then head back to the kids," Iruka harrumphed.
"Now why would I do that," he asked wrapping his arms around the smaller man, "when I'm quite content standing behind you?"
"Hatake-san, if you would refrain from any bodily contact until I find out if the hag and that perv are okay."
Nuzzling the tan skin with the tip of his nose Kakashi said, "Does that mean I can touch you all I want once you make sure there okay? Hmm?"
With every passing word the blush that had steadily made its way across the bridge of Iruka's nose began to expand and darken.
"Hatake-san, I am being very serious. This is not a time for fooling around. So will you please-"
"Now how can I do that when such a sexy man stands before me," he said one of his hands taking hold of Iruka's firm chin while the other slowly made it's way southward.
"KAKA-" the brunette started but was interrupted by a pair of lips crashing down on his own. A pink tongue peaked out from in between Kakashi's pale lips, lightly tracing those of the shocked sensei. The motion was shy and calming as the silver crow slowly wooed Iruka. He didn't get the full blown kiss he had wished for but he knew after some time the man in his arms would be his.
"What did I tell you? You are cute when you're angry," Kakashi said as he slowly pulled up his mask, before a dazed uke came to his senses.
Blushing and panting a very pissed off Iruka shoved the silver crow away and stormed off in a different direction.
------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------
"Did you here that?" a nervous Naruto glanced in the direction of said noise. He wasn't so much scared of their safety but he was more concerned about Iruka and the stranger watching him.
"Don't worry; it's probably just a mouse." Sasuke may have seemed calm to keep his koi from worrying but his senses were also on high alert. Upon entering the building he could have sworn he saw a figure peering at them from the side. He couldn't necessarily make out who this person was but he could tell he meant bad news.
------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------
Well that's it for now. I hope you enjoyed. BTW there is a high chance there might be a sequel to this. The Epilogue is coming up next and after that there will be a bonus KakaIru chapter after that.
