Oh he was going to pay. The second Kankuro steps through that door…God help him because I sure won't. Not that I'm not pleased about what happened with Naruto last night at the club, but no one manipulates me and gets away unscathed. Speak of the devil; I can hear his key in the lock.

 

“Hello? Anyone up yet?” he yells to the house at large. Dumbass, if we were still asleep he would have woken us both up. But then again Kankuro never was the brightest bulb in the box. Three, two, one…attack!

 

“Gah!” he screams like a girl as I push him against the wall and hold him by the scuff of his shirt.

 

“What the fuck did you think you were doing exactly last night Kankuro?” I growl as menacingly as I can muster at 10 a.m. I'm really not angry at him at all, but I've got a reputation to uphold here.

 

“Gaara, you have to believe me, I was just trying to get you to have some fun bro!” He's panicking already…good. It will be much easier to get the information I want out of him now. I let him drop to floor and he winces in pain.'

 

“I knew you were on the bottom.” I smirk down at him

 

“What?” Figures he wouldn't get it.

 

“You and Neji. That is why your ass hurts isn't it?” It's almost like he tries to be dense.

 

“I-you…so what if I'm the uke huh!?” So he's decided to show a little bit of backbone today has he? That's new.

 

“Listen very carefully to me now Kankuro,” I begin, leaning against the wall and crossing my arms,” you are going do me a little favor all right?” I glare at him for good measure and I'm rewarded by a nervous gulp. “I want you to tell me what I want to know about that boy and if you do, maybe I'll forget my little grudge against you ok?” He nods frantically, to my great satisfaction. Manipulating him is just too easy sometimes. Fun too.

 

“You're talking about Naruto right? Wait…does that mean you did dance with him last night? And you must have really enjoyed yourself if you're asking about him too!” Damn, I didn't count on him being able to put two and two together so early. “Oh my god Gaara, you're blushing. I don't think I've ever seen you blush before now that I think about it.” What the hell, when did I start blushing? Damn emotions, I've never been good at controlling them. It's so much easier to just crush them.

 

“Kankuro let's remember the situation shall we? I grin at him and he instantly shuts up. “Now then, I want to know that boy's full name, where he's from, how old he is, how you know him, and if he's available.”

 

“Uh ok, sure Gaara.” He gets up and walks over to the couch, plopping down heavily before looking back up at me. “Well his full name is Naruto Kyuubi Uzumaki for starters. We just all call him Naru most of the time.

 

“We? Who is we exactly?” I inquire.

 

“My whole little group. You know: Sasuke, Sai, Kiba, Konohamaru, Neji, Hinata, Hanabi and I. Anyway, he's only 19 and he lives across town. He just moved here a year ago and we all met him at the club. You already know why he stands out in a crowd.” Ok, seemed reasonable enough so far.

 

“Continue.” I instruct him.

 

“Er, what was the last question again?”

 

“Idiot. Is he single?”

 

“Oh! Well um…” Shit, I don't like how this sounds. “He's kinda single, I guess. I know Sasuke and Sai are interested in him, I'm definitely sure about that. They flirt with him all the time, but I'm not sure if anything has happened between them yet.”

 

“And what about the rest of your little gang, are any of them interested in him?”

 

Well no, I don't think so. Konohamaru is Naruto's adopted brother and he's fooling around with Hanabi anyway. Kiba and Hinata have been going out for almost 3 years, so they're definitely nothing to worry about. And Neji…well you know about him already.” he blushed and averted his gaze.

 

“Ok. Do you have any idea where I could `accidentally' run into Naruto?” I've got to move fast if these other two guys are already interested in him.

 

“Jeez, you're really into him aren't you?” Kankuro asks before being met with my patented `Sabaku Icy Death Glare of Doom'. He cowers again and I take a moment to rethink my tactics. My blockhead brother is my greatest asset in trying to get to know Naruto. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

 

“Yes, I am really…into him.” I wouldn't mind literally being in him either, not that I would ever say such a thing aloud. “I don't know what it was about him last night, but dancing with him did something to me. When we touched I felt a weird sort of electricity tingle through me. I felt…alive.” That should be just about enough.

 

“Wow Gaara…he really did change something about you. First you blush, now you're talking about your feelings. I wonder what else he could do to you.” He puts his hand to his chin, as if contemplating something. I wonder if he knows how ridiculous he looks while doing that. “Ok then! I've decided, I'm going to help you score a date with Naruto!”

 

“Really now?” I uncross my arms and move over to sit beside him. I wasn't expecting him to get this far on his own. “I would…appreciate that Kankuro.” I smile earnestly at him and he returns it. I guess sometimes having siblings isn't all that bad.

 

“Great!” We'll start later today, right after I wake up.” He stands up and heads to his room, crashing into a few things on the way and probably waking up Temari.

 

“You will be mine Naruto Kyuubi Uzumaki.” I vow once I'm sure Kankuro is out of earshot. “You will be mine.”
