Chapter 1

Oruha narrowed her eyes in concentration and leaped into the air. She twisted her body upside down as she hurled her kunai in the direction of the targets and landed silently on her feet. They flew in every direction, but none hit their supposed targets. She growled in frustration and whipped out her shuriken. She flipped backwards and twisted around, flinging them at the trees with an elegant flick of her wrist. None hit the targets. She snarled angrily and whipped her leg in a vicious arc, snapping a tree in two with her strength. Sighing with resignation, she sat down on the ground and lowered her head. None of this seemed to work. Every thing she tried got her no closer to hitting those targets! She felt like her head was going to explode from the frustration.

`Is there something wrong?'

A deep voice shook her from her thoughts and she raised her head. She had to repress a gasp as she stared at him. His skin was pale and smooth and provided a stark contrast to his gleaming black hair. He had thin lines under his eyes, either from stress or lack of sleep, but aside from that, his face was so perfect that even the angels would have burned with envy. Every time she saw him, she always reacted this way. She glared at him.

`Nothing is wrong, Itachi,' she said. `I'm just training.' She gestured to the trees but then remembered her weapons did not even graze the targets. `And getting nowhere,' she growled with embarrassment.

`I see,' Itachi said quietly. He looked at the targets and saw the kunai and shuriken there. `Show me what you did.'

Oruha looked at him and sighed. `All right.' She rose to her feet and walked over to the trees. She wrenched out the weapons and saw the deep holes they'd left behind. Even though she had not hit the targets, she was pleased that her strength had improved. She crossed to the clearing and took a deep breath. Suddenly she leaped into the air and attempted to imitate her previous efforts. This time, her weapons not only did not hit their targets, but one of the kunai actually went wild and bounced off a tree branch, heading in her direction. She ducked the strike and turned to see Itachi twirling the kunai on his finger, a small smile on his face. She glared at him.

`So why are you here?' she demanded. ` To make fun of me for not being as good as you?'

`Not quite,' Itachi replied. He looked at her, that smile still on his face. `If you will allow me to, I can help you with your jutsu.'

Her eyes widened. `You'll………help me?'

Itachi nodded. `If that is what you want,' he said. `But on one condition.'

`One condition?'

Itachi looked at her. `That you will do what I ask,' he said. `Think of it as an exchange. I help you and you in turn help me.' He watched her

She looked at him. What help could he possibly need? Although Oruha truly did want to train with Itachi, she had to admit she was little confused. The Uchiha seemed…different. His dark eyes kept roaming her body up and down and they would narrow slightly when she brushed her hair away from her face or touch her lips with her hand out of habit. But the one thing she could not help but notice was his eyes. He was rarely seen without his sharingan activated but they seemed to glow at times when he looked at her. And when his eyes darkened to their normal colour, they seemed darker and more luminous than they usually were. She wondered why his eyes changed when she was around…and why they always seem to mesmerize her with that strange gleam.

However, in spite of those changes, she'd always trusted Itachi more than anyone else, even when she first joined the Akatsuki. Besides, her jutsu was in need of improvement…….she laughed to herself. Improvement? It needed help big time. And she was desperate for any kind of help she could get.

`I would like that very much,' she said. Itachi smiled. She had no idea what she'd just agreed to.

She smiled back and glanced up at the sky. It was a soft rose mingling with gold.

`It's getting dark,' she said. `We should head back.' She looked at him. `So, when will our training start?'

`Right now,' he said. `Meet me in my room at midnight.'

`Midnight?'

`You want me to help you, don't you?'

`Of course, Itachi!'

`Good. Remember, midnight tonight. Don't be late.'

`Right,' she nodded with a smile on her face. Itachi nodded back.

`Until then.' With that, he walked off, leaving Oruha standing in the target field brimming with anticipation. Oruha beamed.

I wonder what kind of secrets will be revealed?

Oruha walked down the corridor to where his room was. She and Itachi had been living in the huge villa for the past year now and she found it very comfortable to walk around. The Akatsuki had set up the villa as a hideout in case their lair was discovered, but since it was so far out of the way they never needed it. She stopped at the door and slid it open, stepping inside. It was nearly pitch-black, the only light coming from the cold silver moon that hung in the night sky. The room was practically bare except for a few items of necessity and security. Itachi was sitting on the black mattress on the bed, his back turned to her.

`Itachi?' She shut the door and walked over to the young ninja. But Itachi did not move from his place on the mattress. Perhaps he'd fallen asleep waiting for her. She hadn't been late….

`Are you awake?' she asked.

`Yes.' Itachi turned to her, his eyes the perfect black of onyx crystal as he observed her. `You arrived on time. A very good start for you. There will be no need to punish you…. not yet at least.'

Oruha's eyes widened. Punish her? He never said anything about punishment if she failed to meet his demands. Itachi had always been a very strange person, but for the past three months he had if possible, grown even stranger. She pushed the thoughts aside. Strange or not, Itachi had offered to train her and he never backed out on a promise.

`Why did you bring me here, Itachi?' she asked. `It's so late.' Itachi looked at her, eyeing her hungrily in her black satin nightgown, but fortunately, this look went unnoticed by her. Her jade green eyes were still adjusting to the darkness.

`Come and sit with me.' He patted the mattress he was sitting on. Her eyes lit up and she could barely contain her excitement as she walked over to Itachi and sat next to him, tenderly running her hands along the soft, familiar linen she'd missed so much. She remembered sharing a room with Itachi when she'd joined the Akatsuki. But for some reason, after a year it suddenly stopped. Even though she thought it'd be more convenient for her to have her own room, being turned out by him crushed her more than she'd cared to admit. Itachi had assured her that things had not changed, but unfortunately she still lingered on that. But now, since Itachi was inviting her in once more, things would hopefully be the way they'd used to be.

Itachi felt his body tense as he watched her stroke the linen of the black mattress. There was a very practical reason that he'd stopped sharing a room with her. It was because he was afraid he would lose control. Ever since Oruha joined the Akatsuki, he'd always had these urges. But lately, they'd grown stronger than ever, and he feared if given an opportunity he would take advantage of her. He'd decided long ago that the best way to prevent this was to eliminate any situations where he would potentially have his way with her, even if it meant hurting himself or even Oruha in the process. However, his urges had started to get out of control lately and temptation was gnawing at him as he watched her sitting there, her raven hair like a curtain of silk caressing her pale skin glowing in the moonlight, making her look like a hauntingly beautiful goddess.

`We are going to start off with something simple to begin with,' he said.

`Simple?' Oruha looked at him quizzically.

`Yes,' replied Itachi evenly. But inside, her innocence frustrated him. And because of this innocence, he would have to be extremely delicate with her. Even a kiss at this time would be too much for her.

`A massage,' he answered. `I would like you to give me a massage. I'll move forward so you can reach.' He shifted his body so Oruha had space and she slipped behind him, sitting on her heels.

`I'll do my best, Itachi.' Oruha leaned forward and pressed her hands on his shoulders but quickly withdrew them as she felt him shudder under her touch. `Itachi, are you all right? You seem to be shaking.'

`I'm fine, Oruha,' he said breathlessly. 'Go ahead' He tried to repress the shudder that threatened to escape him at the touch of her soft, slender hands. She leaned into him, kneading the flesh with the heels of her hands. He leaned forward giving her more room to move. He felt that familiar ache in his groin when the beautiful woman touched him. His eyes fluttered shut as her fingers worked over his shoulders and ran down his spine. He imagined what it would be like to have her small hands roam over his body, feeling every muscle, curve and contour of his lean frame.

`Itachi,' she whispered, her warm breath tickling his ear. `Am I doing a good job?'

`Yes,' he whispered. `You're doing very well.' Even though he couldn't see it, Oruha was beaming. She always loved to hear approval from Itachi and to hear him praise her like this made her feel special. She put her weight behind her hands and worked harder at the massage. Itachi smiled to himself as Oruha rubbed his shoulders. However, when her hands moved from his shoulders and she began toying with his long black hair, his eyes snapped open. He glanced over his shoulder at her and she quickly jerked back her hands.

`I'm sorry,' she said softly, nervousness in her voice. `It just……looked so soft.'

`It's all right, Oruha.' Itachi turned away from her. `……..Soft, you say?'

Oruha nodded, lightly brushing her fingers across the tips of his hair. `It gleams like silk.' She sighed, almost with longing. `Almost like Deidara's hair. But yours is more beautiful. I've always loved long hair, Itachi.'

`Like Deidara's?' he frowned, jealousy racing through him. `Are you attracted to him, Oruha?'

`Gods no!' She cringed. `He's far too immature and compulsive. He irritates me.'

Itachi smiled. `That's…..good.' A silence fell over the room, disturbed only by the rustle of satin as Oruha moved to get more comfortable.

`Itachi, may I stop?' she whispered. `My arms hurt and I'm getting tired.' Itachi opened his eyes when he heard her voice.

`Yes, you can stop now, Oruha,' he said. Oruha slid out from behind him and he rolled onto his back. He glanced at her as she rubbed her aching arms and tried to stifle the soft yawn that escaped her.

`You can sleep here tonight,' he said. `But only for tonight.' Oruha looked at him and smiled brightly. Itachi pushed back the comforter and she eagerly slipped in beside him. She stretched out beside him and she rolled onto her side, pulling the blanket up over herself. She smiled at him.

`Goodnight, Itachi,' she said, smiling at him.

`Goodnight, Oruha.` Itachi watched as the beautiful woman lay on her back and rolled on her side, her back facing him. Her breathing became a steady rhythm and he chuckled softly. She must have been exhausted to fall asleep so soon. He gently laid his hand on her hair. It was so soft, like a fall of raven silk cascading down her back. He sighed as he wrapped his finger around one particularly long strand and let it glide through his hand. Couldn't she see how badly Itachi wanted her? Why did this have to be so difficult?

`Itachi, what are you doing?'

Oruha's voice shattered his thoughts and Itachi stopped, drawing his hand back. However the silence didn't seem to satisfy Oruha and she frowned at him, irritated by his unresponsiveness.

`Itachi?'

She was only met with the same blank stare and unnerving silence.

`Itachi, answer me!' she growled. She made to shove him in the chest to get him to talk, but didn't get far. Itachi suddenly grabbed her wrists.

`Itachi, wha-?'

She was cut off as she was roughly pulled towards him and his lips crashed against hers in a brutal kiss. Her eyes widened and her face flushed as she stared mutely at the young Uchiha who still gripped her wrists tightly against his chest. Itachi pushed her down onto the mattress, sliding his hand along her thigh and in her nightgown until it rested on her stomach. Itachi felt like he was on fire and he bit her lip lightly. He plunged his tongue into her mouth when she gasped in shock at his rough behaviour. He explored her mouth and gently tried to coax her to do the same. But instead, Oruha shoved him back and sat up, staring at him and gasping for air. Itachi was panting as well, staring at her as she brought her hand to her lips, an expression of disbelief on her flushed face. He looked away, touching his own lips. His hand shook slightly. The fire he'd felt had vanished, leaving him feeling cold as ice. He couldn't believe he had just taken advantage of the only person he was close to.

`Oruha, I think it's time for you to go,' he said softly, his voice cold as ice.

`Itachi…..'

`Now!' he hissed, his eyes flashing crimson. Frightened, Oruha swiftly climbed to her feet and ran out of the room. Itachi scowled bitterly at the door. He listened to her steps until they faded before slamming his fist into the wall in anguish.

`Fuck.' How could he have done something so stupid?! He lost control and now he feared that she would never want to see him again. He got up from the warm bed and walked out of the room. His erection was straining painfully in his pants, but all he wanted right now was a cold shower. He should never have done that. Now Oruha would most likely hate him forever. And it was his entire fault.

Oruha ran into her room and shut the door. She slid against the wall, breathing hard. What just happened in there? It didn't seem like Itachi at all. She brought her hand to her lips and it shook violently. She should hate him for taking advantage of her like that. But instead, her heart raced and her head was reeling. It'd felt good when he took her like that. It was like something had changed in her. But what? Whatever it was, she vowed to herself that she would never tell anyone, not even the Akatsuki, how even now her lips still tingled.
