Wine Cat

Meeting him was the biggest mistake. I should've walked away. But I
didn't. I could've avoided this whole mess. Now, I will have to
clean it up.
We were on a mission then. This was before Sasuke left us. I was
fifteen at the time. Team Seven went into the woods. Things have
been off in the village lately. We had to investigate. Where do I
begin with this?
Looking back makes my head hurt. Give me a minute. Okay. I'm fine
now. Where was I?
Oh yeah. Him.
I met him in the woods. How escapes me at the moment. He was
leaning up against a fallen tree. Honestly, I thought he was dead.
I remember picking up a stick and poking him.
“Hey. You dead? Hey. Hey!” I said. I kept poking him. Suddenly, he
let out a low groan. I backed up. What the hell?
He lifted his head. His eyes looked so bloodshot. He had to be
about my age. The baggy eyes and disheveled appearance had me
worried.
“Are you all right?” I asked. He groaned in response. I didn't move
at first.
“Do you need help?” I asked. He looked up at me. I froze. What
should I do?
That's when he grinned at me. Wait… Was he drunk?
“I'm Katsuya,” he said.
“Sakura,” I said. Why was I still talking to him? I should've just
turned and walked away. It should've ended there. That way…
Katsuya tried to get up but wobbled over. “Whoa!”
“Careful!” I shouted. He looked at me and laughed. I stared at him
with my right eye twitching.
“What?” I asked. He didn't answer.
“Sakura-chan!” Naruto shouted. I turned my head. There was my
escape. I didn't look back as I ran off.
I wish that was the end. But sadly, it wasn't.
