[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
“Daddy, no please wait for me!” A Three year old girl cried tears running down her pale cheeks.
“No, Akemi, stay here!” The man ordered walking out for the last time I'm sorry Akemi … I hope you grow up to be a superb shinobi, just like your old man. And keep that fire of hope, dreams, and faith burning in your eyes for that's what makes you and I different … the fires in our eyes …
The little girl stood there sobbing for a while before clenching her little fist. I'm going with you Daddy … no matter what you say! The little girl charged out of the house ignoring her mother, who was in labors calls to come back.
Akemi, as the little girl would be called, ran to the top of the mountain, just to watch her father give his life for every one else's. The fourth Hokage, her father, her best friend, her sensei, gone just like that.
“Daddy!” She screamed drawing his attention to her for just a moment, smiling at her the suddenly disappearing. “Daddy!” She screamed once more falling onto her knees and crying her little heart out. No … Daddy why'd you have to go? Why'd you have to leave me here all alone?
Akemi, you're never alone … just keep that fire in your eyes, and I'll always be near … His voice faded away
Akemi walked home, but took her time, only to find that now, her mother had died and her little brother lay screaming in a small baby bed. She carefully lifeted him up and began to sing a lullaby.
“Hush now
Everything will be alright
I'm here
And fear is never near
So hush now
Sleep the night away
Over you I'll pray.”
Soon the little boy was asleep cradled in his arms, his breathing steady, his expression peaceful. Then she remembered, he had no name, or at least not yet.
“I still stand for Naruto!” The Haokage said with a grin
“No, we're not going to name him that! It … it just doesn't sound right.” Her mother complained.
“Nothing sounds right to you, go ahead and tell me what you'd want to name him!”
“Some thing nice, like Haruko, or maybe Arata … oh or Gorou!”
The Hokage by now had fallen asleep in his chair.
“We're not naming him Naruto.” She said walking out of the room, that was mom for ya, she always had to have the lat word in.
“Naruto …” Akemi whispered
“Akemi!?! Where are you?” A familiar voice yelled out
“I'm over here Auntie Tsunade.” She whispered “Be careful, you'll wake my baby brother Naruto.”
Tsunade wasn't really her aunt it was just Akemi had known her ever since she was born. So as any one could imagine they became really close, which came in real handing during this bind.
“Come with me.” Tsunade demanded grabbing the little girl's hand and starting to run not even explaining what was going on or where they were going.
It was hard for Akemi to keep up with her long strides and quick pace she had gained by running from all those she had cheated out of their money. In the end though, Tsunade took the two in, not necessarily as a mother but as a friend, Akemi would always be loyal to her, and Naruto should too.
