Summary: A poem for Haku from Zabuza. Based on Zabuza's final thoughts in his last fifteen minutes of life.

For My Haku

A tear of snow

Was the last you shed;

That moment still

Runs through my head

I wish I hadn't been

To blind to see

How much I loved you being there,

How much you meant to me.

But now you're gone

With the melting snow;

I wish I could follow you

To that place you will go.

I know I was selfish

Cruel…and unfair;

I flew of the handle at times,

But still you were always there.

My eyes have been opened

And it's so hard to find

How much I needed you,

How much I wished you were mine.

It scared me at first,

I hoped it was a lie.

How was it possible for me,

To fall in love with this boy?

But now as we lay here

Drifting into an ever lasting sleep;

I make a new vow,

I have a new promise to keep.

Though it maybe to late,

I know what I must do.

I'll pray to redeem my sins

And hopefully travel to heaven with you.
