Coal black stared into Cerulean blue as Sasuke stood at the door of the library, attention directed straightly at the young blonde man looking straight back at him.
“Oh, Sasuke-kun. Take a seat so we can make the arrangements” Sakura cooed, sounding a tad rushed.
Sasuke nodded and sat down next to Sakura, across from Naruto. Sakura started the arrangements, pulling out a few sheets of paper with contracts on them. Sasuke hadn’t even followed what was being said. With every movement of the blonde across from him, obsidian eyes followed each movement and sketched it into his mind. Every once in awhile, blue eyes would look up and their gazes would meet, but only for the slightest of seconds before Naruto’s gaze dropped back to the task at hand.
2 hours later, all deals were set and the two couples had finished the contracts. North and South are now set for the future. Naruto stood up to take a long stretch. Two hours of sitting there was tiring and made him achy.
“Well I guess we should head back to the North” he stifled a yawn as he looked at the couple of Sasuke and Sakura, a frown gracing the dark mans feature while the ever superior smirk held strong on the pink haired future queen.
“Are you sure you wouldn’t like to stay the night? It’s a long journey back to the north and I’m sure you’d rather make it fully rested” Sasuke offered, trying to remain calm and not sound the least bit desperate in his attempt to keep the sun-kissed boy there.
“We’d love two!” Ino shouted without a glance at Naruto, who seemed a tad shocked by the offer and his future wife’s fast choosing.
“I guess it would be alright if you didn’t mind” Naruto said, eyeing his wife, who was giving Sasuke loving looks, then turned his attention to the same raven haired man.
“No worries at all” Sasuke assured , mentally grinning at the chance to talk to Naruto later on.
Sakura gave a small huff, her smirk disappearing into a disapproving frown. Why should she let north scum into her kingdom for more then necessary and allow them to be near her Sasuke-kun? She felt slight rage flow through her veins as she eyed the two.
“I’ll have one of the maids show you to a guest bedroom” as if on cue, the young maid girl from before walked into the room, giving a small bow before giving a nervous smile towards the two. Naruto smiled back which cause the girl to blush and look down, the action didn’t go unnoticed by Sasuke but he simply brushed it aside.
“Could you show these two to some guest bedrooms?” Sasuke asked while gesturing toward the two blondes who gave small smiles at the young girl.
“S-sure, Sasuke-sama. Sh..sharing a room or… separate?” she stuttered as she looked up nervously towards the coal black eyes of her master.
Sasuke thought for a moment before replying, separate. The girl nodded and led the two out. As soon as the three had left, Sasuke sighed in content, completely forgetting Sakura was still there.
“Why must they stay? It was a pain enough to have those lousy northerns here for the dealing, but now they’re staying for the night? It disgusts me that they’re walking around” Sakura snorted. “Sasuke-kun, your too kind…” she started as she walked over to his and clung to his arm, moving her face up so she could speak in his ear. “That’s one reason I love you so much” that statement made Sasuke shiver as he released his arm to look down at the girl.
“One of has to be” he said smugly as he walked out of the room, leaving a confused Sakura behind as she watched the door shut, leaving her in the private library alone.
As Sasuke walked down the silent halls, thoughts of the blonde seeped into his head. It shocked him how much of an impact the young man had made on him from just glances. Deciding he needed some fresh air, Sasuke walked down to the back door which led to the garden. Silver doors opened to reveal sun rays beating down and a stone path that led through rose bushes and tulip and lavender patches. Different sorts of flowers graced the green land as Sasuke walked down the cobblestone path, taking a deep breathe of the fresh air.
“Wow its beautiful” a voice sounded from a tad bit ahead.
Sasuke stopped for a second to look ahead, he was near the end of the trail which led up to a small hill with a large cherry blossom tree and a wooden bench of fine design. Dark eyes widened as sight of the voice’s owner came in sight. There, standing under the cherry blossom tree with a wondrous grin stood the man of his thoughts. Golden locks swayed in the soft breeze as large blue eyes sparkled in the sun.
‘Amazing’ Sasuke thought as he continued to watch the sight of the blonde enjoying the scenery.
Naruto stood there for a few more moments before turning to notice Sasuke. Naruto grinned and waved at the other, beckoning him to come over. Sasuke gulped and walked up to where the blonde stood, nervous unlike the carefree companion.
“The south is pretty peaceful, wonderful scenery as well” Naruto smiled towards Sasuke, setting the other’s heart a flutter as a small blush tinged his cheeks while he nodded in agreement.
“Neh, sorry about intruding on your home and garden. I shouldn’t have excepted your invitation for my own tiredness and I shouldn’t have wondered off and out here” Naruto turned and slightly bowed to the Uchiha who smiled softly at him.
“It’s fine. No need to apologize” he said happily while the two turned their attention back to the blossom tree, soft pedals falling and gracing the ground while their beauty.
It really is a wonderful place.
