“Oh me?” he repeated while taking the hood and slowly pulling it down. “My name is Kabuto” he said as his hood came completely off to reveal long silver hair and glasses.

“You’re the guy who was with Orochimaru!” Sasuke shouted as he glared at the silver haired man.

“Shhh, Sasuke-kun. It may be early but people are still out and it would be fatal if I were found here with you two” Kabuto hushed the angry Uchiha.

“So you know him, Sasuke?” Kakashi asked Sasuke while slightly glaring at Kabuto.

“That doesn’t matter” Kabuto intervened. “Listen, if you want to help Naruto-kun, just trust me.”

Sasuke looked doubtful for a moment before slowly nodding. Kakashi looked worriedly before giving a serious look towards Kabuto.

“I am going to have to ask that you leave you stuff here and please cover yourselves” Kabuto said while handing Sasuke and Kakashi two black cloaks.

Sasuke and Kakashi slipped the cloaks on and hid their luggage before following Kabuto up some nearby stairs and up to the main shore.

“You know, Sasuke-kun…Sound is actually quite peaceful, not a bad place at all” Kabuto said while giving a small glance back towards Sasuke, only to be met with a cold and uncaring glare form the Uchiha.

“Don’t bother, Kabuto-san” Sasuke said coldly, giving Kabuto a straight answer to what ever thoughts he may have of the Uchiha staying.

Kabuto slightly growled, but not loud enough to be heard, as he looked back ahead. As they walked through the town, Sasuke took notice on how poor the place looked. For a so called ‘great’ place, it didn’t seem much above ghost town. The houses were poorly made and looked flimsy for a storm. The grass was browning and a small mist covered the town. As they went further and further, they passed a few crop areas, the harvest not looking the best, and finally came up to a cement bridge.

“Across this bridge is Orochimaru-sama’s castle. I will lead you in and towards Naruto-kun, but that’s all. Getting out, you’re on your own” Kabuto said while walking across the bridge. Sasuke and Kakashi followed hesitantly.

“Welcome back, Kabuto-sama” a guard said as the three walked up to the large castle.

Kabuto gave a nod of acknowledgment as him, Sasuke and Kakashi pasted through the gates and into the castle. Sasuke observed the cobblestone walls and red carpeted floor. Pictures of snakes littered the walls of the castle as they went deeper and deeper into its confines.

“Ah, Kabuto” all three stopped as the slithery voice called out to the head of the group.

“Orochimaru-sama” Kabuto said in a voice full of his utmost respect.

Sasuke and Kakashi slightly lowered their heads so the snake man would not recognized them.

“How is your little slave?” Kabuto asked, drawing Sasuke’s attention towards the two men’s conversation.

“Ah yes, despite he’s lived the life of royalty, he is quite the obedient one” Orochimaru snickered.

Sasuke could feel his blood boiling. He knew who Orochimaru was talking about and it sickened him!

“Also, who are your guests, Kabuto?” Sasuke and Kakashi froze, holding their breathe in fear they might be found out.

“Oh them? Just some locals I decided to use. We’re a tad short on slave helpers” Kabuto lied. He was actually quite good at it, Sasuke would have believed him if he didn’t know the truth.

“Very well, make sure to take them to Uzumaki’s cell as well. He’s a tad dirty” Orochimaru snickered the last word with much pleasure.

Sasuke bit his lip under the hood, holding himself back from launching himself and punching the pale man in front of him. Orochimaru just dismissed them all and walked past.

“Calm down” Kakashi whispered to Sasuke who just continued to bite his lip in anger.

They walked down a few more halls until they came up to a large wooden door. Kabuto pushed the door open to reveal a set of dimly lit stairs. They walked down the set of stairs until they reached the bottom. Torches hung on the walls between different cells. It was very dark though.

“Naruto-kun’s cell is at the door at the very end of the hall. The keys are hung up right by the door” Kabuto informed before leaving the two and going back up the stairs.

Sasuke eagerly ran down the hall of cells to the old fashioned wooden door at the end. Grabbing the keys on the nearby hook, Sasuke unlocked the door to be met with complete darkness.

“I think you might need this” Kakashi said as he came up behind Sasuke with one of the torches from the wall in hand.

Taking the torch, Sasuke walked in and looked at the wall to see an unlit torch. Sasuke placed the lit torch over it and suddenly the whole room was lit by several torches. Sasuke looked straight ahead to see a plain bed at the corner of the room with someone covered in sheets and blankets.

“Naruto” Sasuke breathed and walked over to the bundle covered on the bed.

Sasuke slightly shook the young boy hiding in the covers, only to be met with a groan of pain. Sasuke became slightly worried.

“Naruto, are you awake? It’s me Sasuke” Sasuke whispered to the boy.

There was a slight rustle of sheets before a blond head popped out.

Blue puffy eyes were visible, he must have been crying, a lot. Blood caked over his cheeks where three scars had been carved into on each side. There was a small patch of blood and soil on his forehead, maybe from being hit by a rock or something. And blood and dirt mixed with his blond locks.

“Naruto…” Sasuke’s eyes widened, he was scared to see how bad the rest of the blonde’s body was.

“What are you doing here?” Naruto sniffled while trying to sit up, only to visibly flinch and land back on his still covered elbows.

“Getting you out of here” Sasuke said and began to usher the boy up.

Naruto once again tried to get up but only got up to a sitting position on the edge of the bed before stopping.

“What’s the matter?” Sasuke asked as he looked the boy over.

The sheets had fallen to his waist so the many cuts could be seen on the boy’s body. A large gash lay on his side and 3 marks lashed his back. Chain marks bruised his wrists and ankles. Blood stained the inner sheets, especially around the thighs.

“Oh god…” Sasuke gasped at the sight.

“Here” Kakashi said as he came up and handed Naruto his cloak. “cover up, we’ll get you out of here” he assured the frightened blond.

Naruto silently put on the cloak, wincing every time the baggy clothing hit his skin.

“It’s a tad big but it’ll do” Sasuke said while looking Naruto over.

“Come on, lets go” Kakashi said while hoisting Naruto onto his back.

“B-but…” Naruto stuttered in pain.

“What is it, Naruto?” Sasuke asked.

“We have to save Iruka!” Naruto choked out.

“Whose Iruka?” Sasuke asked the boy with a questionable look.

“That would be the real spy you were suppose to meet” all three looked over to the door of the room to see a smirking Kabuto standing in the door way with Orochimaru beside him.

“Good to see you again, Sasuke-kun” Orochimaru snickered.
