Earlier that night...

Sasuke pulled up to Club Hip in his black hybrid. This was the closest night club to the girl's house and he assumed Sakura would have come here. He stepped out of his car and locked the doors. He then walked up to the entrance and showed the bouncer at the door his ID. The bouncer reviewed it before giving it back to him and allowing him to enter.
Inside, Sasuke looked around with sharp eyes. The place was pretty full, but there was still enough room for at least fifty more people. Something then caught his eye. In the far corner of the room he saw a pink head bobbing up and down. He shoved his way through the crowed to get a closer look. Only a few feet away now, he confirmed the pink-haired girl to be Sakura. But he wasn't too happy to see here at the moment. She was dancing with a man about her age. Her hips gyrated and rubbed against his pelvic area while his hands roamed allover her body as he moved with her. She didn't seem to care where his hands traveled. Looking closer, he saw a blank stare in Sakura's eyes.
That must be what the others were talking about earlier...” he thought still watching the scene before him.
Sakura's head arched back to rest on the man's chest as he then began to lay small kisses on her neck. Her movements were very erotic as she danced on him. Sasuke couldn't help but feel infuriated. He didn't know if it was because of her behavior or that the man was touching her or the fact that it wasn't him that she was dancing with. Whatever the reason was, Sasuke stormed towards them and grabbed Sakura's arm, pulling her away from the man. She immediately snapped out of her trance from the sudden jolt.
The man glared at Sasuke. “Who the hell do you think you are?” he demanded.
Sasuke just turned away and began walking, taking Sasuke with him. When he felt a firm grip on his shoulder, he tilted his head to find that man. “Hey! I'm not done with you!”
Sasuke growled and punched him in the nose. He heard a painful groan and bones breaking as the man stumbled backwards into the crowd. “Don't you ever come near her again,” he said in a dangerous tone as he pulled Sakura through the crowd and outside.
“Sasuke…”
Sasuke didn't stop as he led her to his car with anger written all over his face. He unlocked and opened the passenger door for her. She glanced at him before sitting down. He slammed the door shut, making her wince. She watched him walk around the front of the car and enter through the driver's side. He closed his door rather hard as well. He sighed and looked at her making her turn away. She heard him place his keys in the ignition and then the gentle hum of the car as it started.
He pulled out of his parking spot.
The ride was quiet, neither of them saying anything. Sasuke was too angry and Sakura was too scared. But the silence filled the car like heavy smog and they both began to choke on its thickness. Sasuke pulled his car over to the side of the rode and turned it off.
Silence still.
Sakura couldn't take it anymore. “Sasuke…” she started quietly, but she was abruptly interrupted.
“What the hell were you doing!?” His voice was loud and angered. “Do you realize that your friends are all worried about you?! Why would you do this after all that has happened to you!? Most people wouldn't be so willing to be touched and groped after such a life! You must be really fucked up!”
Sakura's head began to spin with the bombardment of questions and comments he was throwing at her all at once.
“What the hell were you thinking!? There are so many other things that could do to help get rid of stress and what ever else is bothering you! Why do you do this to yourself!? To your friends?!”
Sakura drew breath to speak. “When we were young…when the four of us were only eleven and twelve years old, something happened.”
Sasuke looked at her. The conversation has changed dramatically in only a matter of seconds. He listened.
“We were all at Hinata's house; our parents were having dinner together. We were up in her room talking and playing. I remember hearing a crash and turned to see Ino standing next to a small, broken, glass sculpture of a unicorn. She was shaking and all of us had become deathly silent. Then footsteps were heard coming up the stairs. I walked over to where Ino was standing and pushed her away as Hinata's door flew open. My father and Hinata's father stood in the doorway as other footsteps were heard behind them. `Who did this?!' my father demanded. He looked at us as we all shook. Ino was about to confess when I stepped forward and told him it was my fault; that I was the one who broke it. His face became red with anger. He grabbed me while Hinata's father demanded everyone else leave the room. He stayed along with my father as everyone else left. I felt my body being flung onto the bed after crashing against the wall. They were both yelling…I was too scared to listen to what they were saying exactly.” Sakura paused and crossed her arms over her chest.
Sasuke looked at her. She wasn't looking at him, but rather out the windshield. He was about to say something when she continued.
“My father kept telling me to apologize, but I stayed silent. Hinata's father struck me repeatedly, but I still stayed silent. `You call that an obedient daughter?! She's not even listening to her own father. What a disgrace.' My father growled at the fact that he was being called a failure from his own business partner. The next thing I remember is my clothes being torn from my body. `You think you're so tough, don't you' he kept saying to me. I struggled and cried out only to be beaten worse. It was…painful. It hurt so much. My father, while raping me, kept telling me to apologize. I did, but the abuse didn't stop. I heard laughter emitting from Hinata's father and soon I began to drift away. I blocked out everything; the pains, the sounds, and just laid there accepting my punishment. They soon left and the girls came in later. I…don't remember much after that…except that I didn't cry or complain. I just wanted them not too worry about me. I was just happy that nothing happened to them. And that's how things were. I built up a barrier…they couldn't hurt me anymore.”
Sasuke was speechless. What could he possibly say to her?”
Sakura turned to him. Her eyes were cold. “So you see…I have every right to be fucked up.”
Sasuke looked deep into her eyes. He sighed and started the car again. “I'll take you home.”
Sakura shook her head. “I don't want to go home. Not yet. Not with everybody there. I don't want to hear it tonight.”
Sasuke nodded. “Alright. You can come to my house. The others won't be back until late tonight because of the party. You can stay until then or later if you don't feel like going home. It doesn't matter to me.”
“Thank you, Sasuke.”
“It's really no problem.” They started on their way to Sasuke's house.

Sakura opened the car door and got out once they reached Sasuke's house. It was a nice sized house although hers was bigger. Sasuke walked to the front door with Sakura in tow and unlocked it. He flipped on a light and waited for Sakura to enter before closing the door behind her. “Are you hungry or anything?” he asked turning to her.
She shook her head.
Sasuke nodded. “I'll be right back,” he said heading up his stairs.
Sakura took a seat on his couch and looked around. It was a fairly big living room and was spacious enough for the four guys and a few quests. It was also rather plain, but they were guys after all.
Sasuke returned and walked over to her. He held clothes out in front of her. “You should change into these. You'll be more comfortable. The bathroom is the third door on the right down the hall.”
Sakura nodded and took the clothes from him. She found the bathroom and closed the door behind her, locking it. She didn't expect Sasuke to peek in on her, but she always locks doors, even in her house. She changed into a pair of sweat pants that lay low on her hips and a plain white tee-shirt. She let her hair down and washed her face thoroughly. She gathered up her clothes and exited the bathroom. Sasuke was watching television with popcorn made and soda on the table. She smiled slightly for she really was hungry and realized Sasuke knew.
Sasuke looked up at her. “Sorry the clothes are so big. They are the smallest sizes I had.”
“It's fine. Much better than what I was wearing.” She sat next to him on the couch. “What are you watching?”
“Whose Line is it Anyway? It's a really funny show.”
They watched the show and laughed all through out the featured episode, but it was getting later and later and still the others have not returned. Sakura yawned.
“You want to spend the night?” He asked it purely out of her welfare.
Sakura didn't answer as she looked away from him, thinking. “What should I do? I don't want to go home and hear them yell at me...but how could I possibly stay here? Won't the others be coming home anyway...then I would probably hear it from them too. Maybe they are staying at my house tonight, but that means it would be me and Sasuke alone tonight.” At that thought, a small blush came to her cheeks. She shook herself and drew breath to answer. “Well, I guess so…I am kind of tired, but I don't think I could stay…I mean…well…”
Sasuke smirked. “What? Are you afraid that something would happen between us?” he teased causing her face to become a darker shade of red. He smiled and patted her head. “Listen. There's nothing to worry about. And if you really don't want to stay, I'll drive you home.”
Sakura smiled at him. He was being so nice to her, unlike their previous encounters, but she figured she had added to their fighting. “I would like to stay, Sasuke.”
He nodded. “Where do you want to sleep then?”
“Anywhere is fine.”
Sasuke nodded. “Alright, follow me.” He turned off the television and led her up the stairs to what seemed to be his room. “You can stay in my room. That way if the others come home early tomorrow or later tonight, you won't be seen. There's a fire escape out on my deck if you need to get out fast.”
Sakura smirked. “It sound more like a prison break than a sleepover; scouting out all the possible escapes in case of emergencies.”
Sasuke smiled in a silent agreement. He then went to his closet and pulled out a couple of blankets and pillows and placed them on the floor next to his bed. Sakura watched him. He grinned in her direction when he noticed her watchful eyes. “Don't worry. The bed is yours.”
With those words, Sakura hopped onto the bed and immediately made herself comfortable. When Sasuke's area was complete, he turned off the lights and laid down. “Good night, Sakura.”
“Good night,” she replied.
It was rather dark, considering Sasuke's room was in the back of the house and the street lights didn't reach the windows. Sakura didn't know why, but she felt uneasy as she rolled onto her other side. She couldn't sleep. The minutes passed as she tossed and turned. Soon, a half hour flew by.
She felt a hand on her shoulder and turned sharply to find a dark figure standing over her. She gasped and scrambled to get out of the bed. “Sakura,” came a deep voice. “Calm down. It's just me, Sasuke.” Hearing this, she calmed.
“I'm sorry…I thought someone had gotten in…sorry…”
Her eyes widened when she felt the bed sink a bit next to her. Sasuke now lay next to her. Her back had become flush with his chest and his arm had found its way around her waist. “It's okay. I'll protect you. Go to sleep now.”
His voice was soft and soothing and she soon found herself drifting off as her heart beat in her chest. “Thank you…Sasuke…” He was the last thought that came to mind as she finally dozed off.
