Recap:
Tsunade-sama has started to heal the boy only to find there was something unusual, she's sent for Neji and Naruto's help...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tsunade did a full scan now that there was less injury interference, she got a look at the big picture. Doing a hand seal she feed his body chakra, his body answered with a full body binding curse seal. "Shit!" Tsunade wondered how she'd missed that, she preformed another handseal to make it remain visible. She pulled back the sheets and looked down at him he wore a pair of hospital provided boxers, everywhere else there were seals visible. Noticing what ones around his face and upper chest she pondered how best to remove them, it wouldn't do to have their patient in a deaf, dumb, mute state now would it? With quick gaps of her fingers she released the seal on his ears, then his eyes, and mouth in rapid succession.
"Ah---ahhhhhhhhhhhhh," the boy hissed out.
"Don't worry you're not with the people who did this. I'm removing the seals." Tsunade reassured him. The eyes blinked open and shut, she noticed that they didn't have pupils. They were fairly simple seals to remove if you knew what you were doing, you just had to not be the person under restraint and know that they were there. Most of the seals disappeared and she stepped back, Shizune stepped forward and helped him sit up.
"What's wrong with you eyes?" Shizune asked, watching as he blinked and looked around, repeatedly, his eyes didn't seem to focus on anything,
"Can't see anything. They sealed up my regular vision." The boy's voice was raspy with disused, it was surprisingly mature, he didn't sound like a kid, rather more like an older teen.
"How many other seals are in place? More importantly why are they implace?" Tsunade asked crisply. She didn't want to get too far a long if she was dealing with something.
"To ensure my obedience and servitude to the house of Saito, nobles of Lightning country." The boy answered in a flat voice.
"You serve them unwillingly?" Tsunade was thrilled if this was true then he'd be a great source of information.
A very bitter smile twisted his lips, "Unwillingly?" He laughed, it was a horrible sound, that he cut off abruptly. "My entire clan serves the nobles most unwillingly."
Tsunade noted the strange emphasis on the word unwilling. "How do they make you serve? What did you do cook?" She could see that wasn't the case, but she wondered what he'd say.
The smile looked odd on his face, he stared at her with empty eyes, "Slaves don't have a choice, they do what they're told, *what ever* they are told." His voice smoothed the more he spoke, Shizune held a glass of water for him to sip from.
"If we offer sanction from the house of Saito, from Lightning country, and the Cloud hidden village what would give us in return?" Tsunade watched carefully, she hadn't meant to offer that just yet, but it had seemed like the right move to make. "Are you a Shinobi?"
"Shinobi? As if a slave to could hold such an exalted position," The boy replied his voice full of scorn, his words most likely a direct quote from one of the nobles or other people of power in the Lightning country power structure, "No, not a Shinobi, but I was amongst other things a body guard. I could offer you information and the skill of my labor for a place in your village." Tsunade eyed him.
"A body guard? Are you really strong enough to do that?"
The bitter smile turned into something almost sickening, "You could call it strength, or something else entirely."
"Your clan name, what is it?"
"Seiryoku," he replied.
"You have an advanced bloodline technique don't you?" Tsunade asked,
His answer was wordless, his smile mocking.
"What binds you to the house of Saito? If you possess an advanced bloodline?"
Mozuku watched in horror as before his eyes, the boy brought his hands together to perform hand seals jumping up he moved to stand before his Hokage willing to take any attack, as he pulled a kunai, the boy formed a second then third seal, as his fingers moved to form the forth, his whole body convulsed, the seals that were left spread to encompass his whole body, his back arched and he screamed, a blood curdling scream of agony.
Mozuku found himself pushed aside by the Hokage as she attempted to stop the pain, it was the kind of scream that he helped Morino drag out of particularly reluctant enemies, having had just about every torture there was done on him, to improve his pain tolerance in the case he ever became captured and to give him appropriate appreciation for the pain he inflicted he couldn't help but sympathize.
"A...sim--ple re--lease han' seal." The boy stuttered out between the wracking pains.
Tsunade did one and watched as the boy went limp. It reminded her of the disgusting method of control that the Hyuuga Main family used to control the branch family members. "Seems like a suitable control method," Tsunade commented dryly.
"Yes, lucky us there is also a time activated on if the head Shinobi doesn't perform it every set number of day the same thing happens until he finds the time, they unit of time is changed at random intervals." The boy panted out focusing on breathing.
"Well lucky you, you've made it to Fire country's hidden village, where information about the cloud village and lightning country is held at a premium." Tsunade looked at his eyes, "So you don't see, but you see? Well sleep tonight you can talk to the Hokage in the morning. Make a deal and see about getting some seals removed so that you're not in agony." Tsunade drew the sheets up to his chest, it was summer, but she'd ask, "Do you need a blanket?" He nodded, "Food or drink?" There was a hesitation, she could read behind his blank expression look of blandness, as though he didn't know how much to ask for. "I'll send a tray in with the next Jounin."
Tsunade paused at the door, "Don't make me regret freeing you or you will wish you were still in Lightning country."
~
Raido smacked his friend on the back, congratulating him on his once more pretty-boy face, "But now I got guard duty with the Hokage. See ya tomorrow, west field okay?" Genma nodded and together with Kotetsu continued 'celebrating'.
~
Raido looked into the room, he'd been told there was a change in plans and was sent to the hospital instead. He spotted Morino's assistant Mozuku and gave him a nod. Mozuku joined him in the hall leaving the door open so they could see,
"Pretty quiet. Hasn't done anything suspicious yet, but don't let your guard down. He is able to absorb chakra in theory, but I haven't seen it. So bewary of touching him. The Hokage has particular interest in him. If anything happens summon her directly. I'm going to file my report now." Raido looked at the room where he'd be sending the night. He closed the door behind himself and walked over to the window the only light was from the moon and starry sky as not to wake the boy.
He wondered what Genma would end up doing while he was foxed tonight, go visit a brothel? Pick up a random stranger? Start a fight? Raido sighed, he'd much rather be doing any of those things, that and he knew that Genma would be going all out since he had his pretty face back. He may not go for partners, but Genma was definitely one for sex. Ever since Hayate died, Genma hadn't bothered to look at someone as more an a potential fuck, there was not a glimmer of possible relationships going on. But whether Genma felt like having a prostitute, a young man with a tight ass, or strangely enough a young woman with a tight ass, or just a pretty girl to fuck for the night, his face would give it to him, the scar hadn't made him ugly just accentuated his other features. If he didn't like his friend so much he'd be jealous. Raido pulled out a pack of gum and chewed to feel less bored. He watched the kid sleep counting his breaths and naming the possible ways to kill the kid from where he stood, then moved on to how to prevent assassination attempts with the least effort. Those thoughts wound up so he thought about taijutsu, he'd been working on another punch-kick combo to try out. Jumping from thought to thought he passed the night quickly without falling asleep, the next Jounin showed up around day break to take his place, he reported that there was nothing to report, then went to write exactly that.
~
"Oi, take it easy on a guy sometimes," Raido complained as they walked away from the practice field, "I've been standing watch all night."
"Urk," Genma looked a bit green as he covered his mouth, "So what I'm hung-over, if I can take a strong workout so could you." Genma leaned against Raido's shoulder as they headed back to the apartment they shared, after Hayate had died and everything had died out, Raido had made Genma move to a new building, until then however he'd made Genma stay at his place, he hadn't like the idea of Genma staying alone in the apartment he'd shared with Hayate for so many years, in the mean time it was too easy just living together to be bother, Raido wasn't the type to commit so he'd never lived with any of his many boyfriends and girlfriends.
"I think I'm going to be sick," Genma rushed into the bathroom once they were home and heaved, Raido shut the door and locked it, he'd have to deal with showering second...like usual. Setting his stuff by his bedroom door he went to the kitchen and made breakfast for one. Eggs, milk, and miso soup. Genma never ate when he was like this. Raido heard the shower turnoff. A minute later he saw Gemna stagger past his ever present needle still in place. He hadn't even lost it in their fight.
"Good night." Genma mumbled.
"Good morning...don't swallow you needle take it out *before* you climb into bed...last time you ended up with it buried in your shoulder," Raido reminded his friend who merely waved off Raido's words.
~
"Guard duty sucks." Genma muttered as he went to the hospital, it was night, when he wasn't on a mission he was usually assigned nights, rather than any other time of day... he still hadn't figured out why, it was kind of aggravating because nothing happened at night usually aside from a few rowdy drunks who usually quelled in the face of an ANBU mask, that was if he was lucky enough to be doing city or gate patrol. Genma spat his needle skewering a cockroach, fishing another one from his vest he placed it in between his teeth. It was a quirky habit now, but it had begun when he was nervous on his early missions to stop them from chattering.
"Yo," Genma greeted the Shinobi who was waiting impatiently to leave, they gave a terse reply then rushed off toward the nearest bathroom. He entered the room and saw that the boy was awake. The one he'd brought in the other day, "Guess you were worth something after all." He said to the kid.
"I suppose so." Unexpected the kid had a good voice it wasn't whiny or breaking, it seemed he was past puberty, so maybe not so young as he'd first thought, he seemed to take his lot as it was and wasn't complaining.
"What's your name kid?" Genma asked, if he was going to be stuck on a safe mission at least he was going to extract information. He could see the boy's brow come together as if thinking about the question. Who had to think about their name?
"Haru." The kid said after a long pause, "What's yours?"
Genma figured it was safe to answer, he wasn't in his ANBU uniform, he was acting as a regular Jounin on this one. "Shiranui Genma."
"Get some sleep." Genma was surprised by how free from injury the kid was, did the Hokage do something so to heal him even quicker than normal? He must be worth the information. Haru did just that, he wasn't tired, but he wanted to please this guard he wasn't sure why. As sleep sucked him in deeper he found that answering the Hokage's questions, who'd ended up being that woman, had been tiresome, she seemed to be dancing about what ever information she wanted to know.
Haru wasn't good with people. He didn't make conversation, he responded to orders that's what he'd been trained to do for the last 17 years, to suppress himself and follow orders. The man seemed happy, as Haru felt the man come over to check on him, he let out a tendril of chakra, such a pretty face shouldn't have such an ugly scar. He was happy that he could see both the face and the scar though.
He recalled how painful achieving that had been.
