In her classroom, a pink haired girl walked down the steps between two sets of light brown benches. Immediately Sakura noticed the love of her life, Sasuke Uchiha. She loved everything about him, his cold brown eyes, his beautiful black hair, and especially his handsome face. Her eyes lit up, then quickly dimmed down as she noticed someone sitting between her and her goal, Naruto. She despised the blonde boy, although she knew very little about him. He kept to himself mostly, and spoke to people rarely, but he had a mischievous streak. Other than pranks, he only did what was necessary, and nothing more, though he often did ditch classes. "Naruto get out of the way. I want to sit next to Sasuke," she said, pointing at the blonde statue. Nothing about his posture changed. He remained hunched over, his head resting on the wooden desk. "Naruto get out of the way, now!!" No response. "Dammit Naruto, move it!" Just then Ino entered the classroom and walked down the stairs to Sakura. They exchanged glares. "What do you want, Ino?"
"I'm going to sit next to Sasuke." Sasuke had noticed this conflict and flashed them a small smirk. `He smiled at me. We'll be great together!' Ino though while still arguing with Sakura.
"No, I'm going to sit next to him." Sakura replied harshly. She gritted her teeth. `He smiled at me! Me!' `Yeah, he's as good as mine!!' Inner Sakura cheered. Another girl came from lower down in the room.
"Move it, I'm going to sit next to Sasuke." She was about to walk along the bench, but more girls walked up, each explaining they were going to sit by Sasuke. Nearly every boy in the class glared at Sasuke for all the attention he got. Sasuke couldn't have been happier. He could have an girl he wanted, even more than one at a time possibly. Naruto was focusing his energy, trying to create a weaker Resengan until a loose girl slammed into his right side. Her dark green hair brushed his mouth when he inhaled. He could barely taste the shampoo she used. The perfume she was wearing overwhelmed his senses causing him to grimace, and he immediately sat her down next to Sasuke. Naruto disappeared only to reappear across the room at a less female-populated bench. The brawling vixens didn't even notice this, and began fighting more violently. Sasuke was chuckling to himself at how simple they were, though his face showed no suggestion of it.
`Play it cool and they're practically yours,' he though deviously. Naruto glanced at Sasuke and shook his head. The Uchiha kid ran a hand through his dark hair, then leaned forward with his hands folded under his chin.
`What an idiot. Some day they're going to pay him back for leading them all on like that.' he thought, closing his eyes and resting his chin on the beige desk. He opened them again and they lost focus as he returned to creating a weakened Resengan. Iruka entered the classroom, and immediately hushed his students. He stood at the very bottom of the room, before all the long desks, and started drawing on the chalkboard. It was an explanation of a simple technique Naruto had perfected a few years earlier.
`I have to get out of here to continue my serious training. This is pointless.' He began to make a Bunshin no Jutsu, but his concentration was broken when someone nudged him. Shikamaru was looking even more bored than him. So were three others. `Hmm, this could get fun.'
"Naruto, let's leave. This is stupid. He needs to teach us something useful for once. We know all these simple techniques," Shikamaru mumbled and three boys in the row nodded in response.
"If we all do our Bunshin no Jutsu, we can sneak out and do some real training." one of the boys whispered. Shikamaru and the others nodded. Kiba and Choji, two of the boys were practically twitching in anticipation of getting to learn a cool new Jutsu or making one of their own like they had done some many times before. The third boy, Shino, was sitting still, but wanted to go just as eagerly as the others. He was bored out of his wits too. His bugs felt the same way. Careful not to let anyone notice, they all used their Bunshin no Jutsu, one of the many skills they had mastered. After then used Kage Kakusu no Jutsu, which allowed them to hid within any shadow, all four of them left the room and quickly exited the entire school. Naruto lead them as they bounded joyously from building to building on their way to the secret exit from the Hidden Leaf Village they had created. Naruto once again felt why he loved sailing through the air. He often wished he could fly, free as a bird, simply from the thrill of shooting passed buildings. He watched as everyone, in perfect rhythm landed on a building, altered their trajectory, and launched off. Naruto, being as careful as he was with choosing his group, hadn't expected them to work together as well as they did. He had simply chosen people with the most potential and asked them to join.
After getting together, they had found that the best place to practice their techniques was outside the village wall because there was a small chance of being caught as well as a good amount of shade from the giant trees. They had learned that their clones would last for at least twenty minutes after they left because of their specific sealing technique which trapped a specific amount of chakra within them.
They found their leaf covered tunnel that led under the huge wall. After removing the cover they crawled through it. The tunnel was several feet wide, but only just wide enough to comfortably crawl through. As they went along, Naruto noticed how damp it was, then he noticed small indentions leading through the soft mud. After a minute of crawling through their tunnel they were at last outside the village wall. Last time they had been out, they had caught a spy from another village and forced her to teach them a high level technique for her safe escape. She complied happily after they had bested her in battle and easily cut of her retreat with Ryu Hi Bunshin no Jutsu, one of the techniques they had invented. The second she had touched one, she had been burned very badly and was incapable o walking for the next three hours while she taught the anxious young academy students a Kage Shibaru no Jutsu. Today, they hoped, would be more eventful.
The five boys landed down in an area of many fallen trees. Each had been destroyed in an unique way. When they had caught the old man with long black hair, he had taught them some extremely powerful techniques. Beating him had been easy for the five. Naruto simply used his favorite technique, Sexy no Jutsu.
The group followed Naruto wherever he went. They treated him like a king, mainly because he was the only one who had been able to master every technique they had come across. That wasn't the thing that really entranced the other boy. They had noticed that Naruto could continually demonstrate the techniques without pausing, or resting. This was how that they had learned several of them, but it still left much to be desired for their own chakra levels. Naruto leaned against a tree examining the ground, feeling the air, listening for any sound outside of them. He noticed almost nothing out of the ordinary.
"So, Naruto, what are we gonna do?" Choji asked while he used his pleasantly chubby body to bounce off the trees. Every time he hit a tree, the ground shook causing leaves to rain down from above. Shikamaru glanced at Naruto, also wondering what the leader had planned. As Choji continued bouncing around, leaves of many colors still fell toward the ground. Kiba was using kunai to pin them against trees. Akamaru sniffed the leaves on the ground. Only five leaves had managed to get passed him. Kiba noted them several times while still pinning other leaves to the trees. Eventually he went to retrieve his kunai. Most of them were much smaller than normal sized kunai. Naruto had thought of the plan for them. "Smaller is hard to see. Harder to see is harder to dodge. Simply they are of better design" Kiba loved the specialized kunai. Their shape made them easier to hit a specific target.
"We could start by tracking a spy if there is one in the area. Like say the one that was here about fifteen minutes ago," He pointed to the foot prints in the drying mud that entered the tunnel they had just come through. "or not because he seems to have used our same entrance." He added rolling his eyes.
"Very intuitive young man, but not very lucky." a voice came from the trees. "I was just leaving, though first I think I'll kill all of you, because you have obviously discovered me. What are you, Genins? No, you have no forehead protectors."
"Hey look a new playmate!" Kiba exclaimed and Akamaru mirrored his excitement. He then flashed behind the poor new victim, and sent him sailing through several trees with his fist. Trees crashed to the ground as the man continued to fly toward Choji. The spy was now bleeding from the pieces of bark and wood embedded in his skin. A tiny trail of blood followed his path.
"I got the rebound!" Choji replied knocking the poor white haired man back toward Kiba. Shino jumped between the air born victim and Kiba. He knocked the man toward Naruto, who caught him, and dropped him on the ground.
"So what village are you from?" Naruto inquired seeing if he was a potential threat to the leaf. Naruto stepped forward and altered his stance to prepare for a fight.
"I'm from the Hidden Leaf you half wit!" he said pointing to his forehead protector. "I noticed you guys sneaking out of class so I decided to give you a scare, but it looks like you guys are a little more advanced than the other Academy Students." The man stood up and dusted himself off. He adjusted his forehead protector so it was better covering his left eye, and he scoffed through his face mask.
"Hey wait, I know you. You're the Copy-Nin Kakashi. Ha, looks like we caught you off guard huh?" Kiba taunted. He flashed passed Kakashi, and stood next to Naruto holding kunai, each had cloth neatly wrapped around the handle. The man looked shocked. He immediately regained his composure.
"True, true, I did underestimate you guys." Kakashi held his hands in mock helplessness. "Looks like I've been caught by the Jutsu Gang. I guess you guys didn't know that every single person you've trapped out here has been from the Leaf. They all underestimated you like I did, and were beaten, some worse than others. I suppose you've picked up quite an amount of techniques."
"Yeah, what of it?" Naruto asked keeping his distance from the man, whom he still didn't trust. He paced around Kakashi, and they all formed a circle ready for him to bold. Each boy twitched with their hands near their kunai pouches.
"You would be considered a very dangerous aspect to the Hidden Leaf if it weren't for the fact that you can obviously hold your own. I mean taking out Junins isn't as easy as it looks especially for kids. I guess you'll want me to teach you a Jutsu because you caught me."
"Well, yeah, that is why we come out here, to learn new techniques, and don't think you can get off with some pointless Jutsu, because we know a ton," Shikamaru stated leaning against a tree. They all knew this man was using Henge no Jutsu to hide his true identity, but they did not know why. Shikamaru adjusted himself and stepped away from the tree.
"Byakugan!" They all said in unison, pulling their hands into specific seals at their waists. Naruto's eyes turned a blood red. `So he's from the Hidden Mist. Sounds fun.'
Shikamaru's eyes became a faint green. `Well, well the Hidden Mist, how boring. They only have water techniques, and there's not water here...'
Shino's eyes shifted to a pale blue. `What's a Hidden Mist Nin doing over here?'
Choji's eyes barely changed to a shade of purple. `Hidden mist, that's quite a ways away, but he's probably a Missing-nin, all the way over here. Most likely hired as a spy.'
Kiba's eyes showed no change. `Hmm, Hidden Mist, maybe we should kick his ass and force him to teach us all his techniques.'
"Okay, I'll ask you again. What village are you from?" Naruto pressured. He stepped forward and sharpened his eyes.
"I told you, I'm from the Hidden Leaf," the man replied casually. "Don't you believe me?"
"No actually we don't because: one, you're a horrible liar; and two, you're using Henge no Jutsu to hide your actual identity." Choji replied. He gulped at the sound of his friends slapping their foreheads. His fingers fondled the circular handle of the kunai in the pouch on his left leg. He was ready for anything.
"So you are decent. Well I'm sorry, but you're going to have to die because you found out!" The man dropped the illusion and started to draw a kunai. Immediately he remembered that Kiba had taken them all.
---
Five students disappeared in a puff of smoke. Iruka was getting very annoyed with their ditching. They had managed to get a whole twenty hours of class in the last month. The biggest problem was that he could no longer tell whether or not they were actually there. Their clones were becoming advanced beyond that of most current Junins. `I should have stopped this! I couldn't get them to stay in class, and they might fail the exam tomorrow. Then again, with how well they sneak out...' He noticed that none of the students seemed to care that the five had suddenly vanished. Iruka looked at the clock on the wall. `Oh well, only ten minutes early, it won't matter. I need to find those boys.' "Class Dismissed." The entire class jumped up and left through the door at the top of the stairs. Each student excitedly chattered on about many thinks. Only one student hadn't left. She approached Iruka.
"Iruka-sensei," Hinata asked politely, "where did they go? I'm worried that something might have happened to them."
"They'll be fine. Of all the students I've taught, those five are by far the best. There won't be much they can't handle." He started out the door with her and turned toward the teacher's lounge. As he opened the door, he watched her leave. As soon as she was gone, he turned around and ran out of the school to gather several Anbu to help him find his "Missing-nins."
---
It had been several hours, and with over twenty Anbu searching, he could not find Naruto and his Jutsu Gang. `Where could they be? Those bunch are no where we've searched. We've even got two people from the Hyuga clan, as well as Kakashi looking for them. They're either using a special Henge no Jutsu, or are outside the village.' Iruka shuddered at the thought. They had been said to leave the village, but very few Konoha Shinobi had actually run into them. Each had come back exhausted and told Lord Hokage the Third they had trained five Academy Students not far outside the wall. They had come to be known all around as the `Jutsu Gang' since they would do almost anything to learn a new technique. There were rumors that they had achieved levels that would rival any elite Junin, and maybe that of Hokage, but that was impossible, wasn't it? `Maybe they did g outside the village. This could be bad, it's almost dark.' Iruka went to track down Kakashi so they could search the perimeter of the village.
---
Six hours of total ecstasy. They had learned dozens of Hidden Mist specialized Jutsu. Of course they had to torture the guy for an hour to make talk. The techniques started off simple because there was no water, but once they had found the pond, the man had tried to use some more powerful techniques to escape. Naruto had copied them, and showed how adaptable he was at using his attacks. They all sat leaning up against trees, breathing hard at the lack of Chakra. The man was still unconscious from the last session of practice. Naruto was the only one who didn't seem exhausted.
"He said his name was Zabuza Momochi, right? Isn't he one of those A-class Missing-nins of the Hidden Mist?" Choji inquired.
"I think so, but regardless, we should turn him in. They do know we are coming out here, and he could be a threat to the Leaf." Shikamaru reasoned.
"Yeah, we might be heroes or something." Kiba added chuckling a bit to himself.
"But do we want to be heroes or would we rather just learn some specialized forbidden skills?" Shino murmured. He always spoke in a low, emotionless voice.
"I agree with you and Shino, Shikamaru. We should turn him in, but in return for scolls with far advanced techniques on them. That way we could further advance our training." Naruto replied. `Besides, I don't want anyone to know how strong I really am.'
"Yeah, but first let's see if there are any more techniques we can learn from him, `cause we've only learned sixty." Kiba added grinning slightly.
"Of course, and since every person of an advanced bloodline carries special techniques, if we catch the guy that's hovering around, I think we can get even more techniques." Shikamaru stated, observing the situation.
"So you finally noticed me." A voice came from the woods.
"Finally? We knew you were there the entire time. We were actually waiting for you to make your move, since we're severely weakened from training, but be wary of traps. This place is rigged up a mother." Naruto replied nonchalantly.
"Really, then it's probably good that I haven't come nearer. I almost set off a few, but I bet you five have set of dozens."
"In fact, to clear this area we just sent our clones to explore. That's how we made our perfect little training area. They did a good job, but it took all five of us three days and a ton of energy." Kiba explained to the unknown person. `We also set up our own around the perimeter. Best him not knowing though.'
"I just hope you know that most people above Chunin level know how to avoid traps. I for one can."
"I would hope so, since you're about to step on o-" There was a loud sound of cracking wood, and small snapping of ropes. "Duck and roll to the left." Shino said. Seemingly the character complied because there was a loud thud of wood on wood, then the crash of a tree falling over, but no cries of pain.
"How did you know what to do?" the voice asked, seemingly shocked.
"We can see you perfectly. And that Hunter-nin mask you're wearing doesn't hide you face from this Jutsu. So are you going to come over here and introduce yourself, or are you going to stay crouched near that tree all night?" Naruto questioned. He hoped that they would learn more techniques.
---
"So you think we should go outside and check the perimeter for them? That's stupid. You should know how many traps there are out there. Also how would they get out?"
"Everyone knows they've gone outside the gates. They've fought Hunter-nins outside the wall, and we all heard about their run in with the Hunter-nins. That caused a lot of problems. They have found a way passed the wall, and you can't deny it Kakashi."
"Okay, assuming they are getting out, how would they even survive? I mean if they did enter a booby-trapped area, how would they get around without getting killed? Not very many Chunins can go around there without setting off any. There's no way five academy students could get ten feet without setting off at least one."
"Hunter-nins are always above the Chunin level and there were ten of them, how do you explain that. I mean these five beat ten Hunter-nin that were far above the Chunin level. Ten! Kakashi, there is no way they can be considered normal students. I can't even tell the difference between them and their clones anymore." Iruka explained.
"Then maybe we should allow teams of five for the Junin exam. They will return if they are as good as you think they are. Twenty Anbu was a bit of overkill if you ask me."
"True, but I have a bad feeling, and with your Sharingan, you can site out the chakra, and I know they are outside the Village."
"Fine, but I'm not going through the woods unless we see some for of chakra, and only five or above. I don't think we need to worry about less since you think they're that good." The two started off, and landed on the outer edge of the wall around the village. Kakashi lifted his forehead protector and activated his Sharingan. He slowly scanned the trees for any sign of chakra as the two began to move along the wall. He noticed a few sets of very small, but active groups of two, three, and four. Then he noticed a group of seven, six fairly weakened, and one perfectly fine, but suppressed. `Well that could be them; I just hope that the one that's suppressed isn't one of them, because that could mean they've been taken hostage.' "Iruka, I think I found them."
"Okay, let's go." They both leapt off the wall and landed in the trees thirty feet from the nearest chakra reading. "Alright, we need the element of surprise so let's go slowly, and watch our step." Iruka whispered while cautiously placing his foot.
"Ah…Iruka don't step on that-," Kakashi was cut off as his friend was pulled into the air and tied to a tree. Fortunately Kakashi saw the log coming and cut Iruka down just before it hit. "Okay, so much for the element of surprise. Let's go!" They rushed toward the clearing, setting of traps in a sickening display of explosions, ropes, logs, and holes.
---
Naruto shot to his feet when he saw the two men jump down, then he noticed how the other Shinobi had also tensed, but it was likely from his sudden movement. "Boy's let's go. Shikamaru grab him."
Shikamaru complied as the boys dove into their tunnel. It was difficult dragging the man with him, but he would manage. They made it out and decided to take the man to the Hokage. They stopped when they realized the other shinobi had followed them. Naruto turned around and glared at him.
"Okay, we're done playing today, you can come back some other time, and we'll kick the shit out of you."
The Shinobi let out a laugh. "I've come to take him back. Don't think I'll just let you drag him off. He is a Mist Shinobi, and I wouldn't want the leaf to find out any secrets." He stepped forward and started to reach for Zabuza. Naruto responded with an electric attack that left the man severely stunned. Kakashi and Iruka then landed from off the giant wall.
"Hey, Irubaka! Look what we caught!!" Choji yelled at the two from a distance. Naruto smirked, but remained silent. Shikamaru rolled his eyes. Kiba and Shino stepped back from the limp Hunter-nin's body they had just thrashed. Suddenly the Hunter-nin jumped straight into the air and dissapeared. A second later the limp body of Zabuza dissapeared into the night. Naruto watched along the outer wall as the boy carried the body out of the fortress.
"Hnn," he growled, `Oh well maybe some other time. Though, because of the Genin Exam, I won't be with the posse, but I still can't wait!' Naruto grinned and then dissapeared with his team to head back to his house and talk about modifying the Jutsus they had learned.
---
"Where'd they…" Iruka looked around for the boys he had just caught up to. `No way…they were just here, I saw them and they were real. I know they weren't clones.' Kakashi looked at him strangely and then started laughing.
"Well, I hope I get at least one of them on my team!"
"On your team? You mean you are one of the Junin leaders? Well let's hope they aren't too rough on you if you get them." They split up at the end of the road, each to their own homes.
---
Naruto yawned quietly to himself. It had been a long night writing notes and ideas about the new skills he had learned. Especially since Shikamaru had come up with almost endless ways to combine them. He figured that he may fail the Genin exam from lack of sleep alone. If Kiba would have just let them all go home, he would have been alright, but no, they had to keep working right up until school started. Of course Naruto wasn't mad, just tired. They had made tons of progress and new ideas. Eventually they would be the five greatest fighters in the world: The Five Kages! He noticed Iruka staring at the five of them, one at a time.
"Today's the Genin exam." Iruka explained. "You must produce three clones." Naruto groaned.
`Great! Bunshin no Jutsu! This'll be easy, even with no sleep! Just in case though, I'd better practice a bit.' He pulled up some chakra, and masked himself in a Kage Kakusu so no one would notice. He easily created three perfect clones.
After a few of the students were finished, Choji was up, he managed to create three perfect clones, though considering he hadn't eaten in over sixteen hours, it was quite a feat. When Shikamaru was up he easily passed the test and acted as though it was boring, which on any other day, it would have been for the five. Naruto tested the Bunshin again, struggling to create three clones, though they were still perfect. Shino was finally up, and he passed easily with three perfect Bunshins. Kiba managed to do two perfect clones and one immobile one, but still passed. After a few more students it was Naruto's turn. He walked into the exam room and stood before the two teachers, Mizuki and Iruka.
"Alright Naruto," Iruka said, "your turn." Naruto began to gather his chakra, but he didn't have enough. He knew it was going to fail.
`Dammit! I shouldn't have made those clones' He did the transformation and there was only one clone lying dead next to him on the ground. `NO WAY!!!' Iruka looked annoyed., and Mizuki looked amused. Naruto was pissed. `I can't believe it! It's not possible! I'll be the only one to fail, and I'm one of the top five!'
"You fail Naruto." Naruto nearly fainted.
"This is his third time, and he did manage to basically create a Bunshin even though it was flawed." Naruto nearly sighed with Mizuki's words. "Let's give him a break."
"The answer's no Mizuki. Naruto only produced one clone and he did it very poorly." Naruto immediately left. He met up with Shikamaru and the others to explain why he wasn't a Genin.
"WHAT??" They all had the same expression. Livid. "No way! You're easily the best of use five, and not even that Uchiha loser could touch one of us." Kiba wasn't referring to the Genin Uchiha in their class. He had been jokingly referring to the one who had slain his entire clan and Naruto knew. "I mean really if we were all on the same Genin team, we'd be unstoppable!"
"True, but we have to find a way for Naruto to become a Genin. I mean, it's all of us or none of us. Right?" Shikamaru reasoned.
"Right!" the others exclaimed.
"Besides if all else fails, we can just become Missing-nins and come the world for the best techniques. We'd easily become the most feared ninjas in the world!" Choji laughed.
"Let's not be too hasty. I'm sure there's a way for me to become a Genin. Don't worry guys! I won't let you leave me behind!
The rest of the day, Naruto wandered around stopping only to buy some ramen. He spent the rest of his time trying to think of a way to earn the Genin title. After about four hours, early in the afternoon, Mizuki approached Naruto. Shikamaru had been watching Naruto to see what he would try, but this had been unexpected. He decided to listen in on their conversation.
"Iruka thinks of you as himself. He wants you to be strong so he makes it harder for you. He grew up without his parents too you know."
"But…I really wanted to graduate."
Shikamaru almost burst out laughing. He could tell Mizuki was up to something, and he knew Naruto had noticed it. He could almost feel the laughter in Naruto's eyes it was so thick. `Maybe I'll let him do this on his own. I'm still exhausted from that all-nighter.' Shikamaru took off through the air and landed on a near by rooftop. `It's time to go home.' He disappeared and landed effortlessly at home. Once in his room, he pulled a scroll from his desk and scribbled a few inches on it. He turned to his window and threw it out. "Later Kiba," he whispered.
---
The Third paced through the halls of his house puffing mildly on his pipe. He had not been worried about what had happened the previous day, except that there had been two people with Naruto and the others. Also the fact that they had escaped worried him. They might know the layout of the wall now, and could sell the information to start an attack on the leaf. He stood there thinking as he noticed a shadow shoot past his door. He rolled his eyes. Naruto's pranks had begun to bother him only because they were coming far more often. He followed Naruto throughout the house erasing his presence. Naruto turned around to go back to a different door and saw the Third.
"What are you doing in my house at this hour?" The Third inquired, peacefully puffing on his pipe.
"Behold! Sexy no Jutsu!!!" Naruto transformed into a beautiful naked girl and the third collapsed, blood shooting from his nose. "Ha! No one can withstand it!" Naruto then ran back to the door he'd missed and searched for a certain scroll. "Here it is." Grabbing his new scroll, Naruto ran to a window and let out for the woods as fast as he could.
`Here I'll meet Mizuki and see what he's up too.' Naruto grinned again. Learning a new Jutsu and passing the Genin exam, all at once, was very convenient for him. He decided to start reading the scroll first just in case Mizuki tried to steal it. Opening it slowly and reading the first line, he groaned. "Enhanced Bunshin no Jutsu: Kage Bunshin no Jutsu," he read aloud. "Great! Bunshin! The only skill I've ever failed to do!"
---
Kiba had been bored all day since Shikamaru had decided to follow Naruto. He had gone to a Ramen shop because he was starved, but he noticed Shikamaru leaving Naruto's trail. After deciding to follow, and he knew Shikamaru would noticed. He had read Shikamaru's note several times, and finally understood that Naruto was using Mizuki for something. He went to the spot Naruto had been told to go, but it was early so he hid. He could tell Naruto had noticed him, and figured that Naruto was reading the scroll so loudly for him to practice, but Kiba wanted to see the scroll, so he left and went to his house.
Upon arriving he rushed to his room and grabbed a scroll remotely like the one Naruto had. He figured it was the right size, so he headed back to find Naruto and copy the scroll. By the time Kiba had gotten back, Mizuki had already told Naruto that the fox was within him, though Naruto had already known. Naruto had decided to keep his own knowledge for himself and to just run with the scroll. Kiba could tell he was getting bored, but in his ideas, Naruto should have stayed and fought. Kiba then saw that Iruka made himself into Naruto with Henge no Jutsu. He dropped to the ground by the real Naruto.
"Hey!" He whispered.
"Figured one of you guys would come to check it out. Here, give me your scroll. Makimono Idono Jutsu!" He whispered causing the scrolls to switch. "This will keep them from figuring out that we have a copy of it. The copy is untraceable. Take it, and get out of here." Naruto took his scroll and ran further into the woods. Kiba took this as a command, and met up with Choji and Shikamaru at Shino's house. "Guys, check this out! Naruto got a forbidden scroll for us." They began to study it, and quickly took notes. They knew the transfer skill would only last for two hours. Shikamaru sighed and set down his pen.
"Okay, got everything in there." He hen started copying his notes to four other scrolls. One for each member of the Jutsu Gang.
"I don't know if Naruto will need one." Shino said in his soft manner. "I'm going to go check up on him. With that he was gone from the room.
"He just wants to know if Naruto's really going to become a Genin." They all chuckled and began practicing the forbidden Jutsus. Kiba was reading his scroll slowly and gasped. "Listen to this. Extreme wind skill: Kage Tsumujikaze. I didn't know the leaf had any wind skills…"
"They only have a few, but they greatly rival the most powerful of the Sand's." Shikamaru replied. "Don't try that one in here, or Shino will kill you for destroying his room."
"Yeah, but listen to this one. Leaf Hidden Taijutsu Skill: Konoha Mawaru Tatsumaki. I bet that will come in handy. Weird, it's very simple. It's only a spinning jump kick. That's stupid."
"Oh? Let me try it out on you then!" Kiba taunted. Choji flinched slightly.
"Okay, bring it on." Choji leapt out the window and dropped to the ground outside. Kiba followed.
"Konoha Mawaru Tatsumaki!" Kiba pulled chakra into both legs and did a flip in the air bringing his leg down onto Choji's crossed arms. The ground beneath Choji cracked, and Choji was knocked back. The attack continued as Choji flew back with a vertical kick to Choji's stomach causing him to hit the ground violently. The earth exploded from beneath him, and dirt reached up to the window where Shikamaru was watching. Both Kiba and Shikamaru gasped at the undaunted power, and Choji groaned in pain.
"You alright down there?" Shikamaru asked from Shino's bedroom window. "That's a deep crater you're in." Kiba laughed. Choji raised his middle finger and fell back to the ground. This only caused Kiba to laugh harder.
"He's fine, just didn't expect the second kick to hit him in the gut." Kiba replied chuckling.
"Yeah," Choji groaned. "I didn't read as far as you did. Not so pathetic then…" Kiba helped the beaten boy to his feat and they walked off into the night to go home. Shikamaru rolled his eyes, wrote Shino a note, and left.

"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" Naruto yelled, creating hundreds of shadow clones. Shino had just arrived to see this amazing show of skill. Almost a thousand Narutos stood over the fearful Mizuki ready to beat him into the ground. After of few minutes of blows, Mizuki's body lay prone on the ground, blood oozing slowly from the mouth. Naruto chuckled uneasily.
"Heh, guess I went too far," he stared at Iruka worriedly. `Crap, now they'll know how strong I really am!'
"Naruto, come here." Iruka said thinking to himself. "I've got a present for you. Here, close your eyes." Naruto complied and felt something being tied around his forehead. "Congratulations…on graduating."
"Thanks Sensei!" Naruto was so happy he nearly cried. He lunged at Iruka, pulling him into a hug. Of course Iruka's cries of pain from his deep wounds caused Naruto to quickly let go. "We should…probably get you back to the village." Shino, realizing Naruto had passed, quickly went to tell the others. Of course for him the journey was made almost instantly, so he decided to stop off and listen to Naruto's conversation with Iruka after telling them.
He dropped lightly into his window, and noticed no one was there. He glanced at his desk and saw a pile of scrolls and one that seemed to stand out. Grabbing the one that stood out, Shino fell gently into his bed.
Shino,
We found some great techniques after you left, and even tested one. I thought of several revisions, as well as combinations, which I'm sure you'll enjoy playing with. Some of them shouldn't be tested in doors though. I even found a very interesting healing technique, but I couldn't figure it out. You're the only one who has a copy of it, other than Naruto, so see if you can use it. Also, I skipped out on giving you some of the Taijutsu skills, simply because I know you don't like them. If you have any questions, feel free to come over and ask. I'll be up for a good time. By the way, don't worry about coming to tell me Naruto passed. I had a hunch he would the second he told us.
Shino smirked. Shikamaru was clever, and Shino knew the revisions would be the best that anyone could think of. Thinking of Shikamaru, Shino assumed that the strongest Taijutsu had gone to Kiba, and some of them to Choji.

Naruto walked into his classroom and picked a seat quickly. He glanced around.
`What the hell? I sat next to Uchiha again? Wow, I need to start paying more attention.'
"Naruto! What are you doing here? This is for graduates only!" Kiba said laughing as he walked up to Naruto.
"Note the forehead protector…" Naruto returned noticing Kiba's joke.
"Excuse me, can I get through?" came a feminine voice from behind Kiba. He turned around and stepped back.
"Hi…Sakura…-chan." Naruto greeted, using the -chan to mock her. `Great, now she's going to sit near me too. Well, her aim is to be by Sasuke, but…dammit…why'd I have to sit here?" Eyeing the people around him, he shot into the air, leaving a shadow clone in his place. Landing neatly down into a seat across the room, he watched as he commanded his clone to jump onto the desk and glare at Sasuke. Shocked, he watched in horror as his clone went mouth to mouth with Sasuke as it was bumped into. `Thank god I got out of there!' Naruto thought, moving instantly to where Shikamaru was, and sitting down.
"You should leave it there, and have some fun with it," Shikamaru remarked. Naruto nodded, and did several quick hand seals to make his clone semi-permanent. "Choji, Kiba, Shino, come here." The three called came to the row and sat down next to Naruto. "Well guys, this is it, the last time we're technically together. From here on out, it's just meeting up."
"Yeah, by the way, Naruto, clever to make a clone so that nothing would happen to you directly." Chuckling, Choji motioned towards Naruto's near dead clone."
"Yeah, anyways, I'm going to screw with her and Sasuke. Oh yeah, I stole a list of the teams. Shikamaru, you are with Choji and Ino. Kiba, with Hinata and Shino. What the…? This isn't fair! I'm the only one without one of us five! And to top it off, I'm with fan boy and Sakura…" Naruto read, feeling down.
"I mourn for you, but not as much as I mourn for them. Just don't show off. You'll be fine, Genins get easy missions, and since you're the top Shinobi in this village, there won't be anything you can't handle." Shikamaru replied. Iruka began announcing teams, and when Naruto's team was announced, Naruto's clone cheered for Sakura, and the five noticed Sakura looked angry that he was with her. Sasuke looked pissed about the whole deal as well, but they all figured because there was only one girl on his team.
"She'll think you have a crush on her." Shino replied standing up to leave for lunch with his team.
"Shino, I'll act as leader. That way you don't have to show off your talents."
"That's fine with me, Kiba." The two left the room with Hinata.
"Well, I guess I'm off to eat by myself, have fun with your groups." Naruto walked out of the room and set off to the roof of the school. He watched Sasuke walk away from Sakura to eat. "Stupid fan boy, acting all cold, you're annoying. I'm going to see how much she really likes you!"
Sasuke smiled, as he walked away he though mischievously, `Ha, she's going to be easier than I thought.' He jumped away to a balcony and ate his homemade lunch. Naruto dropped to the side of him and smirked. "What do you want, dead last?" They exchanged glares.
"To test you!" Naruto leapt forward with a spinning kick at Sasuke, but it was countered. They both dropped back into defensive positions. "You're not bad pretty boy, but watch this! Resan-" Naruto froze. He stopped gathering his chakra, and shuddered. `I almost…I have to be more careful…not to show off how strong I am.'
"Well? Are you going to show me, or what?" Sasuke smirked.
"Shut up or I really will show you!" Naruto spun again and kicked Sasuke in the back knocking him into an open window.
From a distance Ino gasped as she watched this. She laughed slightly when she saw Sasuke emerge from the window. Both Choji and Shikamaru knew it was Naruto using Henge no Jutsu, but they kept silent about it.
"Serves him right, taking on someone way above his level." Ino said reveling at Sasuke's strength.
"Yeah, what a weakling. It's obvious who's stronger there." Shikamaru replied. He smirked behind Ino and glanced at Choji.

Sakura sat by herself, pouting that Sasuke hadn't eaten lunch with her. She looked up and saw Sasuke's silhouette against the deep shadow of the forest. She began day dreaming, wishing he would come compliment her on her beautiful forehead, and kiss her. The shadow shifted, and Sasuke stepped forward. He smiled warmly as he walked up to the bench. Gracefully he stopped before her, and inwardly smirked.
"You sure have a large charming forehead, makes me want to kiss it." Naruto nearly grinned when her eyes lit up and she blushed. Instead, he smiled softly. `What to say, what to say.' He sat down beside her and they locked eyes. "What do you think of Naruto?" `Oh terrific, why'd I think of that to say?'
She paused and looked away. "He's always getting in the way of my love, and he enjoys seeing me struggle. He doesn't understand anything. All I want, is…for you to acknowledge me." Naruto gasped softly as she began to turn to him. He felt a catch in his breath. She moved closer. "I'm serious…I would do anything, because I love you." Naruto's eyes widened as he she leaned toward him. Their faces loomed nearer, and his eyes lost their sharpness.
`She…really…does…' Naruto jerked away, and realized what he was getting caught up in. `Ugh, I'm…I'm as bad as he is, toying with her. What's wrong with me?' He stood up, and walked away. Using his Buyakugan technique to watch Sakura, he realized that she wasn't angry. `Heh probably thinks I'm just shy or something.' He turned a corner and jumped straight onto the roof of the school. He heard a voice back where Sakura was.
"Sasuke-kun, you're so shy! Are you ready now? I sure am!" Naruto looked over the roof at them. Sakura was grinning. Sasuke looked angry about being so easily beaten.
"Where's Naruto? It's time to go." Sasuke's voice was deliberate, and forceful. Sakura looked surprised, and almost scared.
"Heh...don't change the subject." She was shacking. "Who cares about Naruto?" She tried to stay calm. "All he does is get in fights with you." Her eyes changed, and then she folded her arms across her chest. Sasuke looked back at her. "He hasn't had a normal childhood. He doesn't have any parents" Sasuke's eyes widened. "He can do whatever he wants. If I acted like him, my parents would get so mad at me." Sasuke glared slightly. "He's so lucky all alone, parents never getting on his case."
"You seem to know a lot about him, for someone who doesn't like him," Sasuke retorted, his eyes sharp.
"What's this…all of the sudden?" Sakura was shocked, and Naruto could see why. He had made a mistake in his dealing with her. He had acted out of character when he looked like Sasuke.
`So simple of a mistake and it may have ruined her chance with him. Sorry Sakura.' He thought to himself as he started to turn away.
"You're annoying." Sasuke said in a harsh voice. Sakura was shocked. She stood there for several minutes.
Naruto was disgusted with Sasuke for being so cruel to a girl who honestly cared for him. He was ready to kill him. Running to the end of the roof, he dropped down a little passed the next corner, spun, and ran back towards Sasuke. "You!!"
"Ninjas can untie ropes. Remember that, dead last." Sasuke smirked and looked down into Naruto's angry eyes.
"To hell with that! Stay away from Sakura! I've watched your game for long enough, and if you screw with her heart anymore, I'll kill you!" Sasuke faltered at the look in Naruto's blood red eyes.
"Bah, like you could do anything about it." Sasuke turned away and walked back to the classroom. Naruto glared after him. Sakura walked up to him and smiled slightly. He returned it, and they walked into the classroom one after the other.

Finally the revised, edited, and mostly complete first chapter. I laughed, I cried, I procrastinated, and here it is! Chapter two will be out within the month, we hope *laugh*. Month's almost up, and I'm still working hard on it, and I'm almost ready to update, but I'm not sure you'll be as pleased as you think.
