Grand Summoning Jutsu

Maya stirred in her place, waking to the sound of the birds chirping just out side her window. She flashed back to the night before her eyes flew open with a smile only to find herself under the covers of her sheets, Gaara no where to be found. He must have moved her under the covers, she figured.

"hum, off so soon" she spoke stretching her arms above her head pulling herself to a sitting position allowing the covers to drape over her now levitated knees.

*knock knock* the rattle of her front door shook from the person hitting from the other side. "ha, back so soon?" she decided not to bother slipping on a shirt, she just ended up wrapping the sheets around her small body under her arms. Holding the sheet up as she made her way to the door, she heard the knocking once again. "why did you...." Her sentence was cut short when she opened the door to find Temari and Sakura standing waiting for her to answer. Her wide smile dropped a little at the sight of them, she honestly thought it was Gaara coming back to maybe give her a good bye kiss.

"geeze, don't look so happy to see us." spat Temari.

"haha sorry, you just got me off my guard, if I would have known it was you I would have..." She glanced down "put on some cloths."

"well, no problem, we are all girls here, nothing we haven't got" smiled the pink haired girl.

"I suppose" Maya stepped aside to allow the girls pass allowing them inside ~man, I hope Gaara didn't leave anything behind.~ the thought hit her. "so what brings you guys here?"

"oh nothing" the sand ninja slowly made her way around the small apartment, looking like she was scanning for clues. "we just stopped by to see if you wanted to go to the hotspirngs with Sakura, TenTen, Ino, Hinata and I for the afternoon."

"I don't know like half of those people, Temari" frowned the brunette.

"well, It doesn't matter, they are all really nice people. You should come. GIRLS DAY!" Sakura bend over and gave a peace sign.

"OK OK, just give me sometime to get some cloths on" Maya sighed "so what's been going on since yesterday."

"nothing much, Gaara and Kankuro are meeting with the Hokage and Kakashi today, I think. I hadn't really seen him since the Exams." the blond ninja eyed Maya dashing into the bathroom with her change of cloths stuffed under her arm. "what happened to you anyway? You looked really freaked out."

"nothing, I just got a really odd feeling" her voice was muffled behind the bathroom door. "I'm OK now, I just needed a good sleep." a small smile curled across her mouth as the thoughts of Gaara panting over her, making love to her the night before.

"well at least your OK" Sakura spoke up. "you really worried us."

"not to worry, I'm fine now" Maya's voice sounded like she was putting a great deal of effort into something. She was leaning over her shower to flick on the water. "I'm going to take a shower, I'll only be a few minutes." she explained. She knew she was going to the bath, but wanted to shower to get that smell from her skin from her session with the Kazekage.

"I am going to hold a dinner" The Hokage did not move her gaze from her pile of work that lay scattered over her desk, the three men stood in her office 2 of which at attention the other standing beside her with his arms crossed across his chest.

The eyes of the men appeared to have the same reaction of dropping to shock.

"what?" stated Gaara in a flat tone as usual.

"I'm holding a dinner I'm inviting the whole village, to you know, celebrate Naruto's victory." Apparently Naruto had flattened the competition and was now rewarded Chunin rank. The Hokage felt it in her to do something special for the boy, since he was gone for so long and obviously worked very hard. "Kakashi get the word out." she nodded from her desk as the gray haired copy ninja put his hands together in a sign. "oh, there will be a dress code." she spoke watching all the boys mouth drop together.

Kankuro raised his voice "meaning?"

all eyes fell upon her. "fabulous," she smiled "so you better find a tux" she spoke "now go, the both of you." with that both Kakashi and Kankuro disappeared.

Gaara still stood at her side still dumbfounded ~what the hell~ he grunted.

"we have nothing further to discuss today Kazekage of the desert, do as you like." watching the young redhead boy quietly leave her office. Her eyes fell upon the back of his head when he opened the door to leave, a smile whipped across her mouth when he shut the door as he left. "hum, I will find out what you are after, Sasuke." her breath heavy in her chest. She figured the gathering would be a great opportunity to pull the mysterious young man from hiding. They would be able to capture him once again and save his life from Orochimaru. "he has done quite the job of remaining undetected for this long, even Gaara has not figured you out yet. This must be big." her nose again fell to her work, books open papers everywhere from her research.

The girls lay relaxed on the female side of the bath. Allowing the hot steam from the pool rise filling the air with a slight mist. Maya leaned herself against a rock her arm prompted over the ledge of the pool. Breathing heavily in relaxation.

"I have a question Temari?" maya asked.

"Hum?" she sighed as a response. "when do you go back to the desert?"

an eye opened looking at the small brunette, "maybe in about 2 weeks. Gaara has an representative taking care of matters for him for awhile, until he gets back."

"I see" Maya's eyes turned to the pool of water she was half submerged in.

"hum, this is so nice" she breathed.

The girls of course sighed in agreement as they took their own place in the water relaxing. Temari sat close to her friend while Sakura and Tenten on the other side of her. The conversation seemed to flutter from different topics, combat, to flowers, the hot springs then to boys. a smile came across Maya's face when she heard the blond haired girl, Ino, announce Hinata's undying love for Naruto. The girls watched as poor Hinata turn a unhealthy shade of scarlet, trying to hide her embarrassment under the shelter of the steam.

"common Hinata, why don't you just tell him" Ino rolled her blue eyes to the sky.

"I just- I don't" she tapped her two pointer fingers together in front of herself in a very cute, but shy manner.

"meh, your no fun!" the girls giggled at the expense of the poor embarrassed girl.

"what about you Ino?" Maya opened one eye at the young blond and watched her expression change." I see you getting pretty friendly with Choji" she stuck her little tongue out the corner of her mouth when she saw the blank expression of the girls face.

"HA" she grunted turning her nose in the air crossing her arms.

"and what about you?" Sakura spoke up narrowing her eyes in a flat expression looking over at Maya. "I've heard about you."

the girls seem to perk up to pay full attention at this point.

"ER'" Maya started then quickly spun her head around looking towards the fence that shielded them from the outside. "odd..." She trailed off.

"not to change the subject or anything...." Sakura glanced over at the same place Maya way staring. She felt it to, all the girls in the pool began to stare hard at the fence. ".... "

"I told you this was the best place" the cheerful whisper of Naruto Uzumaki fell upon the group of boys gathered around the crack in the fence. His Master Jiraiya taught him EVERYTHING he knows, and everything meaning his perverted ways of thinking. Jiraiya had showed Naruto this place on the day they met he found the old man peeping into the woman's bath, and gave him hell for it. The boys fought silently with each other to get a good look. Kiba's dog sat on the street watching for anyone who would interrupt their games.


The Dog began to whimper a few moments later, the young men that had gathered turned quickly to the street only to find the redhead Sand ninja, Gaara walking by. "Gaara..." Naruto raised his voice but kept on a low whisper and motioned for the tall Kazekage to join them. Naruto's uniform had changed since his time away, so did his looks. He grew tall his hair longer and cloths now black and orange. His forehead protector now black tied in a knot behind his head the two pieces of cloth fell long down to his upper back. His eyes perked as Gaara slowly made his way slowly towards the gathered boys. Shino adjusted his sunglasses as he moved from the young man's path.

"what are you doing, Naruto?" Gaara said with annoyance. The blue eyes of the tall blond looked up at him with an evil look, draping one arm around his neck. "I have something to show you, Gaara" Naruto pointed at the crack, Gaara lifted his eyes to it in confusion. Gaara began to lean over to see what the boys were making a fuss about when a rock came from nowhere and landed on Naruto head leaving a swelling mark where it made contact.

"IDIOT!" bellowed Sakura her towel wrapped around her body as he found her leaning over the fence directly above him. Gaara's eyes wide seeing the half naked figure of Sakura shake her fist at the tall blond boy still hanging his arm over his shoulder. The boys began to inch their way back looking up at the angry green eyes staring them down. More girls began to pop over the fence to see the commotion.

"hahaha" Gaara heard a familiar laugh. The blue and green eyes of his lover the night before did the same as the rest. Letting her arms fall over the fence looking at the group of young men. Her eyes fell upon Gaara who was now in shock, his cheeks flush. He knew what this looked liked from her point of view, but that damn Narrator put him in this situation.

"well well," her head fell to ones side leaning on her arm looking down at the frightened redhead. " Gaara, this is the second time I have caught you peaking on me" she smiled watching an uneasy look take over his expression. It was true, he had seen her once before in the woods awhile ago. "you better make it up to me. Ramen tonight, pick me up at 6pm" she smiled closing her eyes. His mind could not get off her, the night before was all that remained, she invaded his head every time he thought of anything.

The girls perched on the fence now snapped their attention to the brunette and laughed.

"so it's true!" Sakura giggled

"what is true?" Maya took one last glance at her date before letting herself fall to the floor of the bath. Gaara's expression was blank.

"DUDE!" shouted Naruto "why doesn't shit like that happen to me" he smiled cheering the young Kazekage on. The boys congratulated Gaara as they walked off, there was no use in staying when the girls knew they were there.

" I- I have to go" Gaara slipped from Naruto's arm and sprinted forward making his way past the bath house. He glanced over at the doorway to find Temari leaning against the door frame, her eyes turned at him and arms crossed across her chest. "gah" he sighed. How do I get so trapped." all Temari could do was laugh at her little brothers frustration.

"come with me then." she sighed. Pushing her self from the door walking towards him. "walk with me."
