Grand Summmoning Jutsu
"hum" Maya groaned she lay deep in her soft bed, Gaara on top of her in his boxers his head turned to the side laying flatly against her chest. "so tell me." she began softly "why is it every time you come here you never sleep, or stay so I can see you the next morning?" a sigh heaved from her chest as she felt the Kazekage stir his head from it's position to get more comfortable, wrapping his arms farther around her naked waist. Her fingers were , of course, playing with the red hair at the back of his neck. Gaara had found himself at her apartment more times than not after their date, only because he felt an attraction to be with her although has never admitted it, not even to her.
"I feel like sleeping sometimes." he groaned by her relaxing touch. "but I can't"
"why?" she sighed.
"It's hard to explain."
"try me, I might understand more than you know."
"If I told you I think you would run."
"think again."
Gaara slowly lifted his head to look up into the eyes of the woman comforting him, her hands around his neck still weaving her fingers in his short messy hair. "I want to sleep at times, like right now, where I am so relaxed." he breathed lowering his head back to her chest.
"tell me" she softly ran the backside of her hand over his cheek.
After a long silent break a deep heave came from the young man. "I am the host of the One-Tailed Shukaku" he stated flatly. He awaited again for the young woman's reaction, but he figured he would have to explain further since she probably had no clue what he meant.
"The Sand Demon" she breathed calmly. Gaara lifted his head once again his eyes now wide with surprise that she actually knew.
"you know of it?"
She knew the Shukaku all too well, back when he had dwelled himself within his first host. He was a dreadful beast, cunning yet she had defeated him once a very long time ago and counseled him away, she was sure the beast had not forgotten her."of course." she followed
"well then you know I cannot sleep or he will eat my personality." he shrugged. "what little I have, I suppose" he lowered his head back to the comfort of the girls warm body as they lay in the dark in silence. Time had past somewhat before Maya had spoke to him again.
"what if I told you I can help?" Maya cleared her voice almost sounding nervous, after the long pause.
"you can't help, no one can." he sighed.
"Gaara." she sighed with a reluctant tone in her voice. "I am a Siren"
Gaara lifted his head for the last time as he prompted himself on his elbow so he was leaning over her. "a what?"
"I kind of don't tell a whole lot of people about this, so consider yourself lucky." she looked down at his chest to avoid eye contact." A Siren is" she paused "like a songstress." reaching her hand up running her hand along his face. "I have a song, that can suppress any Power, demon, even stun the body if I need it, it really depends on the situation. In all my time in travel and have actually used it, nothing has been able to fight it's haunting tone."
His eyes seemed fixated on the young woman's mouth as she spoke." so you are telling me?"
"I can let you sleep, if you wish it to be, I will suppress the demon with my song."
"it won't work Maya"
a smirk formed at the corners of her mouth. "I love when you say my name."
"yeah" he grunted "It still wont work"
the moon shone brightly though her window tainting the entire room with a soft blue. It was quiet now, as the silence between the two lingered. Gaara had no clue what the hell a Siren was, he had never heard of one in his life, which brought him to the conclusion that Maya could not do what she had claimed.
a soft tone came from the woman's mouth, a Celtic sounding haunting song, it was beautiful yet chilling at the same time. Gaara's eyes widened as she sang from beneath him, using the different cords her song formed into a foreign language he has never heard before. He felt himself relaxing to the tune of her music his body became weak and was no longer able to move. His wits were completely with him and was aware of all that was happening around him, his body was the only thing he lost complete use of. He stay froze looking down at the beauty below him hearing every word of her enchanting song yet his hand was unable to reach up to touch her face. The song softly trailed off into the hollow of the night, leaving Gaara with stunned look on his face.
"you are free for now, Gaara of the sand." she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled his head down to her chest once again."you are safe with me" he could feel the heavy breathing against his ear as he closed his eyes to the rhythm of her panting. He lost all control of his usual self and allowed her to take him into his first real comforting sleep. " just don't leave sand in the bed again" a soft giggle escaped as it was the last thing her heard before slipping into his dreamworld.

Gaara opened one eye from his place under the sheets of Maya's bed. He heard her rustling about the apartment, trying to gather her things together for her day of work, the Kazekage was on vacation, but she sure as heck wasn't. He sat himself up in his place with the blankets draped over his knees watching the small girl dash from left to right as she darted to get ready.
"morning babe" Maya quickly flew to his bed side and gave him a quick peck on the tattoo on his forehead. She retreated back to her bustling about. "I've got to work today and I think I might be late, so I'll see you again. Oh by the way, the Dinner is Friday and I am starting to put together my outfit so you are not allowed over here anymore until after that, OK?" shoving a piece of toast in her mouth as she ran to the door and slipped on her sandals. Gaara all the while still sat in shock watching the girl in a frantic rush.
"I just, woke up?" he questioned softy looking down at his open palms.
"yep!"
"I was sleeping?"
"yes...." Sighed Maya.
"but...."
"I told you already.... Oh and can you lock the door when you leave please" she dashed one last time, pulling the toast from her lips, at the stunned boy who sat shirtless in her bed and gave him a nibble on his upper lip. She finally found her way out the door and down the street as she made her way to Heaven and Earth massage parlor.
Gaara of course was in complete awe. he was sleeping, and she did it with that song. He never felt so awake as he did when he first opened his eyes to the morning sun though her window. " I need to know more about this." throwing the bed sheets off his lower half and began to get ready himself.

"Siren" Gaara read from the pages of old text he had pulled from the shelf of mountains of scrolls. He had asked the Hokage if he could do research on ancient jutsu for facts of knowing purposes. His real intention was to find out more about this Siren that Maya had claimed herself to be and since he has never heard the word before it was not as easy to find in the walls of papers.
"Siren, Siren" he repeated dragging his finger down ancient scrolls full of dust to only find nothing for his efforts. He has searched all day and found not a word on this, "what is it?" he was nearing the end of his pile, he flipped open the last scroll dragging his finger along the length.
"Siren" his voice raised. Although there was not much of a write up on it, since it was in the ancient text it must have been true.
"Siren: Sirens or Seirenes, in Greek mythology. Men who dwelled near were paralyzed with the Sirens' enchanting music, According to some versions, they were playmates of young Persephone and were changed into the monsters of lore by Demeter (Ovid V, 551). The term "siren song" refers to an appeal that is hard to resist. A distinct feature of the Seirenes difference in Iris color." he continued to read under his breath lifting his gaze from his reading as he finished. Remembering Maya's multicolored eyes staring back at him.

Gaara lifted himself from his chair in the library and made his way to the open window. "unbelievable...." He breathed. The sun was now going down for the day and the town started slowing down from below his office. He wanted to talk to Maya, but he remembered what she said just before dashing out the door. He wasn't allowed to come to her home until after the Dinner.
"what have you got planned, Maya the Siren?" he smirked leaving the open window as the sun fell behind the horizon for the last of the day.
"hey Gaara" the voice of his older brother fell upon the emptiness of the room. Gaara just turned his head and gestured at Kankuro closing the library door shut. "what are you doing."
"nothing" followed Gaara in his flat voice.
"I see"
Gaara kept his eye on his brother as he walked his way over to him near the window. He wasn't wearing his traditional black ninja uniform, instead replaced with loose fitting jeans and a plain white shirt his hair in a mess, . He figured it was the style since Gaara nearly always wore his hair this way. Wrist bands around each of his wrists, his face was no longer painted either, it revealed a stunningly handsome face that looked similar to his younger brother.
"what are you doing here?" as Gaara followed his brothers movements when he sat in the chair, the Siren scroll was open on the desk.
"the Hokage asked me to take you to get fitted for your suit tomorrow, I'm just letting you know. You seem to disappear quite often and no one is able to find you." Kankuro's eyes glazed over his younger brother.
"I've been around." grunted the redhead.
"anyway, just letting you know you need a Tux to look presentable, apparently everyone must present themselves in front of the two of you out of respect before the dinner starts."
"This is stupid" Gaara spat.
"only because you probably don't have a date."
Gaara just snorted at his brothers remark, but of course he knew better. The young girl everyone had their eye on, was the one he was going to escort to the dinner. "I don't care." the kazekage spat followed by a small smile his brother rarely saw.
