Grand Summoning Jutsu
"humf" Maya grunted from under the counter in the kitchen. her suspicion was right about Kankuro, as soon as she walked in he complained about his stomach being empty. "He needs to learn to cook for himself" her tone wasn't a happy one, her hand gripped the edge of the countertop as she squatted opening the cupboards underneath to scoff though the different pots. Of course when she arrived home she found him and his brother on the couch playing that retarded game, it made her slightly angry at Gaara since he knew she was working all day. HELL he was there, and still expected her do cook.
The large pot on the stove boiled the water it held as the steam from the bubbles popping and breaking to the heat being applied from underneath.
"do you need help?" a familiar flat huff came from the other side of the counter. she lifted herself to peak her multicolored eyes over to find Gaara standing in his white t-shirt crossing his arms across his chest.
"puff" she huffed a little lowering herself back to her task. "you ask me that now? you could have at least started this for me." she almost spat the words at him.
"I can't cook."
"learn, it isn't that hard."
"just tell me what you want me to do, Maya."
a pause in her anger subsided the flame burning with frustration. "there are lobster in the fridge, go get them please." her tone seemed less irritable now that he had offered to help her.
Gaara made his way to the fridge and pulled it open. the light from the inside flickered on as he crouched his tall figure down to shift his eyes scanning for this 'lobster' "what does it look like?"
"Gaara, it's probably the only things that are moving in there." she was now facing the other way with the dish she was looking for only to turn her attention to the cutting of vegetables.
His eyes were drawn to the slight movements of the giant cockroach looking creatchers that resided in his fridges. "what the hell?" he raised his voice to her. "they are alive, have giant claws and look like Cockroaches...."
"that would be them. just grab them by the back of the head and line them up along the counter beside the boiling pot of water." she giggled a bit at the description the Kazekage had used.
his hand reached around the back of the dark greenish creatchers gripping it tight, it's hard shell was was cold from the temperature of the fridge as its tiny legs began to freak out as he lifted it from its perch on the shelf. placing it on the counter as instructed he grabbed another two, one in each hand and placed them next to the first. "Maya, I don't think this is going to be good...." his voice lost in the thought of eating such a thing.
"Temari and I can share one, you and Kankie can have your own."
"no, I mean.... it's a freaking cockroach."
"HA HA HA" Maya burst into laughter listening to him loose his seriousness over a little thing like lobster. "relax, trust me." she smiled closing her eyes as she looked over her shoulder at him, then turning back to her salad.
"alright, whatever you say."
"ok just put them in the boiling water, until you see them change color." she began shifting her head slightly to watch him.
"like this?"
Maya dropped what she was doing, almost throwing the utensils from her hands, she dashed slipped between Gaara with the greenish creatcher he was holding at the back of the neck, and the pot of boiling hot water. she wrapped her tiny fingers around his thick wrist pushing the lobster upward away from the pot. her wide eyes glanced at the redhead with a relief look in them.
"what?" she crinkled him his nose in confusion.
"hum..." she sighed. "how would you feel if you were put into a pot of boiling hot water, feet first?"
Gaara just stared at the young woman placing herself between him the pot. "painful"
"exactly, put it in head first so he will die a swift death. other wise, you will actually hear it scream." she paused. "and it's pretty chilling."
She released his wrist removing herself from between, she watched as he did as she told him. He allowed the lobster to drop in head first allowing it to sink to the bottom of the pot. it's hard shell started to turn a light shade of orange as the hot water was now at its full boil.
"do the same to the other two." she smiled making her way back to the salad. "did you find me boring today?" she questioned not turning to face him.
"no" he sounded like it shouldn't matter if he was or not.
"you looked like you were ready to tear that boy apart"
"I couldn't help myself."
"thank you for defending me, in a silent kind of way I suppose." she giggled turning her eyes to the young kazekage. his nose pointing down into the pot watching as the giant cockroaches boiled to their deaths.
"they are really red, is that good?" he questioned.
"yeah, just turn off the heat and let it sit now."
he reached and flicked the dial to off as she had told him "your welcome." he finished.

"WOW! that was excellent, I don't think I've ever had that before." Kankuro leaned far back in his chair running his hands over his stomach. "they looked like giant scorpions."
"well, that's a better description that what Gaara had, but his was much funnier." Maya covered her mouth a small giggle. "was it ok?" she fluttered her eyes at the young man at her side.
a small shy nod gestured to indicate he was satisfied and his tummy was full.
Temari lifted herself from the table grabbing her own and Kankuros plate full of shells and claws left behind.
"wait" the older sibling swiped the plate back "there is still more." he reached for his fork to dig into the remaining pieces.
"Kankie.... don't eat that part." Maya placed her hands on the table as she watched the young man try and break the meat free. Gaara's eyes shifted to her once again.
"why not, there is still some here."
"lobsters are...." she paused "how do I say this.... the are like filters of the ocean." she spoke. "any bacteria or chemicals they collect will pass though the body to one special gland in their heads. if you eat it you will die."
Kankuro stopped his action his elbow almost straight up in the hair. "are you serious?"
"yes...."
"Maya, how the hell do you know all this stuff..." his voice seemed lost in her knowledge.
"what is so hard about wrapping your head around me being 2000 years old, I've learned ALOT of things in my time here, it's not like I've been sitting around doing nothing." a huff escaped from the woman as she planted her hands flat on the table pushing herself to her feet.
Gaara followed her actions from his seat, his eyes drifting from his brother to his girlfriend, then to temari swiping the plate back from Kankuro making her way by the Brunette girl sweeping the shells into the garbage under the sink.
"Don't worry about him, ok" she leaned over her friends shoulder to comfort her.
"I'm fine, thank you." Maya smiled turning back to the table where Gaara's pale eyes were following her with a concerned look. she swept up his plate from in front of him and made her way back beside the blond girl, now washing the dishes.
"sorry Maya" Kankuro sighed.
"about what?"
"so," Temari began "are you guys coming to the beach with me tomorrow? we sent an invite to Naruto and the others as well." a smile spread across her face looking over at her friend.
"I'll go" Kankuro spoke almost immediately, the chance at seeing Sakura in a bikini was too good to pass up.
"I don't think so" Gaara took on his usual flat tone.
"Ahw, well, that's too bad Gaara" Temari smiled with a small laugh. "I guess Maya will have to show her new bikini to Kiba" the blond glanced over her shoulder only to find the young redhead shooting a nasty look and a vine popping from his forehead.
~damn it, always trapped~ "fine...." he sighed
a smirk crept across Maya's lips "you are having way too much fun teasing him, aren't you" she whisper.
"yep!"

"Temari" the young Kazekage called to his sister when he saw her scoot by his office. she stopped and took a few steps back to find herself in his door way. "come in"
She made her way into his office closing the door behind. she probably thought it had something to do with the beach comment, and the way she practically forced him into coming. "yes?" she questioned him. his nose was still facing his paper work at this point almost looking too embarrassed to remove his eyes from it. "Gaara, is there something wrong?"
"no" his shy eyes lifted from his work to look into the eyes of the blond sand ninja.
"then what's going on.... and why are you blushing?" she looked over her shoulder a little to make sure no one had found their way though the door.
"I want to do something for her." his voice became racked with nervousness. "I want to take it to the next level, but what is it?"
Temari's eyes widened and her mouth dropped, her brother, the once raving mad lunatic gone Sensei gone Kazekage. Uptight, stiff, stern young sibling was asking for advice on love. "wow, Gaara I had no Idea."
"gah" he grunted "forget I even asked, never mind." his face now red with embarrassment.
"you love her, don't you"
His eyes once again shifted from his paper to the blue eyes of the sibling in front of him. his eyes wide told her immediately that he did, he loved her but didn't know how to express it. he has never said or shown it to anyone before.
A sharp pain shot though the young mans body the more Temari stood and stared at him, she could read him like a book and she wasn't stupid. his eyes fell once again quickly to the pages of his writing.
"you want to take it to the next level? then come with me."
