Grand Summoning Jutsu

Maya held the papers in her arms as she made her way around the class room handing out last weeks test she had marked. This was the second one she had to give by force due to smartasses who decided to root in her love life. of course, the rumor had already started that she and the their Kazekage were actually an Item, to whom started this was unknown, but figured it had something to do with the regular class clown, the one Gaara looked like he was going to tear the face off. she grabbed the next test from the pile and placed it on the young woman's desk in front of her.

"nice work Hitomi" she spoke in a soft voice. the girl did nothing but stare up at her from her seat. her long black hair fell straight to the sides of her face and her bangs hung over her forehead, her eyes black as night to match. "your perfect score raised the overall average of the class."

the dark eyes of the young woman just lowered to her paper as she picked it up by the corner to look at the score "A". she stared at it for a second then folded it up and let it sit in front of her. her eyes darted back up at Maya who was not moving along the students handing the rest out. she scanned over her body inch by inch, like she was savoring every last detail she could from her.

"ok." Maya raised her voice as she began to walk down the steps of the auditorium to the front of the class. good work everyone on the test on 'Troy'. I just hope I will not be forced yet again to give you a pop quiz." she giggled watching the faces of the many smiles of the men and woman watching her. "class is out now, and don't forget the concert tomorrow night we want a good turn out" the students had already started moving from their seats the moment she said 'class is out' as she was trying to yell over the gossip of the Kazekage's birthday as they left.

of course the concert was going to have an amazing turn out, apparently they received word from the neighboring villages stating that they would be honored to attend the young Kazekages' 17th birthday party. Baki had finished the prep work for the stage , a giant 'T' like formation with even a little levitated sky box for the important people that were attending, so they didn't have to get down with the crowds of people.

People from the allianceing villages had already begun to arrive at Sunagakure, with the many residence finding room for their visiting comrades. while some were offered in the central office such as Naruto, Hinata, Sakura, Ino, Choji, Shikamaru, Lee, Neji ,Tenten, shino and yes... even Kiba. Kakashi also made it along with many of the other Jonin. the Hokage, of course had her own accommodations close to the sake bar where she could slip a drink here and there while she was in Sunagakure for the weekend.

Maya found herself one last time at the stage set up before heading home. she stood on the farthest end at the end of the 'T' and lifted her hands over her eyes to shield them from the setting sun. the desert was so vast and wide like an ocean of sand, it was beautiful there at sunset where the earth and sky met, turning the clear blue in to a rainbow of different colors as it disappeared over the horizon.

"nice isn't it" Baki made his way beside her standing with his arms crossed.

"it is" the wind seemed to pick up a gust taking her skirt up slightly exposing a little more of her leg. the tight white blouse flicked as well with it.

"He hasn't said much about this to me." Baki followed looking down at the small woman.

"nore me. but he will be fine, maybe a bit surprised at how many people are here" she giggled "but it will be fun."

"does he know you are in this?"

"no, it's kind of a surprise. why? you didn't tell him did you?"

"no, Kazekage and I have more things to talk about than his birthday."

"I suppose your right." she huffed. "well I should be getting back, I have a lot of people to entertain until tomorrow."

"Incase I don't see you until you are on stage. Good luck." Baki watched the young girl make her way from the 'T' shaped plat form.

"thanks" she waved at him without looking back.

"hey everyone" Maya walked into the living room to find a mass of boys playing that stupid game. of course her redhead infatuation was no where to be found.

"hey Maya" they all answered at different times in a stunned manner.

"Hey Maya, what's for supper?" Kankuro raised his head from his slouched position from over his controller.

"whatever you want to make" she followed with a narrowed expression.

His eyes fell back the the TV not bothering to answer her back, as his attention was now in kicking Neji's butt with a girl.

"you suck Neji." as Nina booted his character, Lee Choalan, in the face.

"damn it!" Neji laughed. "you are so cocky"

"where are the girls?" Maya placed her lecture book on the coffee table walking slightly in front of the TV. Kankuro looked like he was going to have a relapse, as he tipped himself further to see around her legs.

"kitchen" he answered in a stunned tone.

Maya stood in his way just a tad longer to watch him struggle "and Gaara?"

"I dunno, Maya... mooooooveeeee" he reaches his hand and placed it on her thigh and gently moved her to the side. "I think he is working."

"alright" she giggled at him making her way around the pile of boys down the hall to the kitchen.

"HEY MAYA!" Temari jumped to her feet from the place at the kitchen table.

"hey everyone, what's up? glad you could all come" she smiled.

"of course, we wouldn't miss it." Sakura spoke up.

"yeah, apparently this is going to be massive." Ino crossed her arms in front of her on the table.

"I can't wait to see what the music is going to be like." Sakura prompted her elbow on the table letting her head rest slightly to the side in her palm.

"I think, rock alternative and stuff like that." Maya followed.

"Gaara likes that stuff, he's been listening to it for the past couple of weeks now." the blond sand ninja lifted an eye brow.

"where is he anyway?"

"in his office I think" she followed.

"always working, it's his birthday for gosh sake!" Tenten giggled.

Maya made her way over to the counter close to where the girls were gathered. she lifted to plant her hands on the edge of the countertop and jumped pushing herself to sit on it. she dangled her legs over the side keeping both hands firmly on the flat surface, hunching over a bit.

"If I told you guys something, don't mention it to Gaara" she raised her hand and pointed her pointer finger at Temari "especially you" she giggled.

Temari perked along with the other ladies engulfed in what she was saying.

"the last band..." she paused only to have Hintata interrupt her.

"Total Eclipse?" she questioned in a shy voice.

"yes... I'm the lead singer"

"SHUT UP MAYA!" the girls nearly jumped out of their seats.

"shhhh, it's Gaara present, I suppose"

"that is awesome! do you know how many people are going to hear your voice!?" Sakura now out of breath from the excitement.

~and Gaara has a present for you too~ Temari's thoughts danced at her little brother, her smile became wide the longer the girls spoke of the concert, and Gaara's birthday. ~he is planning on doing it at the concert, I can't wait to see your face girl~

"well I suppose it off to bed" Maya pushed herself off the counter "are you all ok for rooms?"

a nod came from all, with giant smiles on their faces watching Maya leave the room. "oh my gosh I can't wait to see that!" the whispers started the moment she walked out down the hall to her room.

She reached for the door about to swing it open but stopped by a rustling she heard from far down the hall. Maya flicked her head in the direction only to find the young redhead swiftly walk down towards her. He seemed to not have noticed her as he was looking down at the floor lost in deep thought about something, like he was debating in his head. his fingers found themselves running through his red locks pushing them from his forehead exposing the bright red symbol. his blue and white robes in a gust behind him as he walked closer to her.

"babe?" she spoke in a small quiet voice as he approached.

he lifted his pale eyes to look at the woman speaking to him "hey" he breathed.

"are you ok?" she watched as he stop in front of her door, close to her.

"yeah, fine why?" his eyes darted from side to side, sweat falling from his brow.

"you look like your freaking out about something?"

"it's nothing, I'm fine, really." his voice almost ran too fast for his mouth. she lifted an eye brow to tell him she wasn't buying it.

"are you nervous about the concert?"

"yes... no... maybe... look, I got work to do tonight so I wont be coming to bed." he leaned in giving her a small kiss on her lips wrapping one of his arms around her lower back to pull her in. he broke the kiss just as soon releasing her and making his nervous way down the hall.

"ok, good night" she whispered after him, knowing he did not hear because he was already out of sight. "that was very odd...." her voice trailed off opening the door to the room and slipping inside.
