Grad Summoning Jutsu
"good luck guys"
"yeah the crowd is massive"
"they seem to really like the music"
Each member from the last band walked by them, telling them how wonderful it was to finally have their chance to show what they could do musically.
"thanks guys, we'll do out best." Akira thanked them "ok guys, we can do this. ready Maya?"
a slight nervous nod came from the small quivering girl, as the last person left the stage handing her the cordless mic. she held it in her hand looking down at it. she pushed herself from the the leaning position from the wall and began her walk with the band. as soon as Akira was seen first on stage the crowed went nuts waiting for the next session to start. Maya walked behind the tall boys with her head slightly down the mic now falling at her sides as she walked, the chains from her outfit made cling noises with ever step.
She finally drew the mic to her mouth when the men had taken their spots waiting for her to give them the go. "ARE YOU HAVING A GOOD TIME TONIGHT?" her mouse like voice was now amplified though the mass of people. of course the whole place erupted in a aloud constant cheer.
"oh my god..." Kankuro's eyes widened to the small girls voice, quickly dashing over to look at his brother. Gaara's face was in complete shock, his mouth open and iris' contracted while listening and watching the small girl on stage.
Temari made her way, squeezing herself between Naruto and the redhead, draping her arms over the side to take a good look at her friend all punked out.
"READY TO ROCK THIS DESERT ONCE MORE!?" her voice was still sweet sounding through the mic echoing though the ears of all. the crowed once again lost it in cheer.
Maya turned her self to Akira to count them in, with one swift strong note they started. the first word of the song and the rockin' cord of the fist bar started on the same note.
"It's true, we're all a little insane
But its so clear
Now that I'm unchained

her voice was sweet and smooth, like he had remembered but then erupted into a sound he has not heard from her small vocals before. a strong alternative mixed with the heavy metal of the her band blended with her song.
"oh my god!" Kankuro draped his arm over his brothers neck "Maya is HOT!" he lifted both of his arms and cheered with the rest of the crowed for her. "YEAH! MAYA!"
"You poor sweet innocent thing

Gaara, watched his tiny woman walking across the stage singing at the top of her lungs, her outfit seemed to attract a lot of onlooking men from down below the length of the stage. but when she turned slightly towards his direction he noticed, once again the painted symbol of love on her cheek, for him. "Maya...." he breathed to himself a small smile appeared across his lips.

"it changes nothing" she leaned in close to his ear so he could hear her better. "you MUST do this now, that girl was nearly in tears tonight because of you."
"what?....." he lifted himself turning his pale eyes to the young woman strutting from one end of the plat form to the other, trying to get the crowed worked up.
"she had the feeling you were avoiding her, and didn't know why" she continued. "she almost cried."
"I would never..." his voice trailed off as the next and final song began.
"Feels like the weight of the world
Like God in heaven gave me a turn

"she went through all this trouble for you. the least you can do is push your own fear aside for this one time for her." she raised her voice above the music getting angry at her spinless little brother (when it came to girls). "It doesn't matter if it's up here or on that stage, you owe it to her."

He draped his arms over the rail once again dropping his head deep in his own thinking. "how do I get down to the stage?" he groaned, the nerve was going to kill him, being up there with all those people watching.

with a flick of his wrist sand began to rise from beneath, rising from between the people below and began to gather along the skybox in front of him. his brother and Naruto, now wondering what the heck was going on and why Gaara was making himself a flight of steps out of sand that led to the stage.
jumping over the rail he landed in the first step and began to walk, one cliff at a time. watching Maya sing her heart out for the benefit she put together for his sake, and the village. the people seemed to draw their attention from her, to him walking towards the flat 'T' like stage. his final step took him to the plat form where the band was set, as he stood and waited for them to finish.

"I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A BLAST! WE DID!" she laughed though the mic. her band still playing lightly in the back ground. " AND A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO..." she turned to the box to find he was no where to be found. Temari was of course helping her out pointing behind her to where the young Kazekage was standing with his hands in his pockets and his face down slightly "THE KAZEKAGE!" she pointed at the young man as the cheer nearly destroyed her ears from the shear volume.
~ok, walk forward... left hand... left hand...~ he kept repeating to himself making his way towards her. her right hand was holding the mic, so he was safe there. ~ok, calm, I'm ok.... I'm going to be sick....~ he walked up close enough when she reached her left hand out for him to take hold of it. he did as she thought taking her hand in his turning his gaze to the soft delicate touch of her skin. he took one last swift look at his sister and dug around in his pocket.
"what the hell is going on Temari?" Kanuro leaned over his sister watching the two.
"you'll see." she followed with anticipation.
Maya found herself smiling as wide, now more than ever, he wasn't avoiding her as she thought it was in her imagination and he was with her now, in front of all holding her hand.
with one shocking feeling of something cold slip around her ring finger, the one hand in which he held. she turned almost in a snap to find out what the strange sensation was only to find Gaara sliding a ring over her tiny finger and securing it in its' final place.
"oh my god...." she breathed eyes wide, and mouth dropped looking at his flat expression his pale green eyes staring at her. the world seemed to stop around her, the cheering people hand lowered to a dull roar watching and trying to take in what they had just seen.
"what the FUCK?" Kankuro almost yelled barring his face in his hands a slight laugh escaped.
Naruto just stood with his Jaw nearly hitting the floor.
Temari on the other hand knew all along, she seemed to know more about what was going on in their relationship then they did, a smile grew wide on her face watching the young girl stare in complete shock, frozen in her state.
