Grand Summoning Jutsu
Gaara lifted his hands and crouched low in a fighting stance, Kanuro a few feet away doing the same. The two had decided to practice their hand on hand combat on each other, to improve on their ThaiJutsu, considering neither of the two boys every used it , Gaara with his sand never really had to as it would always rush to his aid and would he would never get hit. Kankuro on the other hand used his puppets to fight for him, the three he used were racked with special poisons to attack his enemies and controlling them using his own chakra flow from his finger tips.
Kankuro breathed heavily, sweat falling from his forehead staring down his red headed brother, he now doing the same.
"you are not fair to do this with." he snorted "your sand makes it hard to hit you"
"stop making excuses" he kage breathed heaving deep from with in his chest.
With his words Edging his brother on, Kankuro bolted forward and drew his fist close to Gaara's ear, once again, like many times before his punch was deflected by the aid of the blood tainted sand. Gaara reached with his hand grabbing the wrist of his brother jerking him forward to get him off balance he lifted his legs swiftly with a crack landed his shin right in his stomach.
"gaa" Kankuro spit up saliva bending his tall form over in pain as Gaara recoiled his leg to plant it on the ground once more. He gasped looking for air, after having the wide knocked from him "that's it Gaara, I can't take anymore" he spat " I can't take anymore abuse, besides we've been doing this all day."
"I understand" Gaara's breath was heavy in the back of his throat, trying to catch it. They both lifted their posture, Kankuro holding his stomach still.
"Hey guys" Maya's voice echoed through the sparring room "supper will be soon." she grazed her eyes over the two men now staring in her direction standing high above draping her arms over the side of the rail. The room was a bit dark and dusky a few weapons lay in their perches along the corner of the floor, if they wanted to practice with them.
"sweet!" Kankuro's breathing managed to force out a smile "I'm starved."
she smiled closing her eyes at the same time "What are you two up to anyway?"
"Thaijutsu" Gaara's flat tone answered her.
"huh?"
"Hand on hand, but it's proving rather difficult with sand boy over here cannot be touched." Kankuro shot a look at his smirking brother.
"oh I see" she paused. "well, maybe I could be a fair challenge for you, Kankie"
Gaara's mouth dropped and eyes contracted, she had mentioned once before that she hand experience in hand on hand combat but seemed reluctant to expand on it.
"yeah right Maya" the brown haired boy snorted.
"do it" echoed the voice of the windKage.
"er' dude, I don't want to hurt your wife."
"she will be fine." he crossed his arms turning his pale eyes from between his brother to his wife draping over the rail.
"you can pick whatever weapon you want" Kankuro crossed his arms like his brother looking up at her. He figured he would let her use something since she had the unfair advantage being a woman.
She lifted herself from her perch one hand found itself on her hip "if you say so" she smirked "but I have to go grab what I'm going to use"
"we've got plenty here that you can use" he lifted his arm pointing at the weapons in the corners.
"What I use is nothing here."
Gaara Followed Mayas movements as she left the sparring area. "this will be interesting" she breathed heavily
"yeah right" Kankuro spat, he was a little angry that his younger brother first beat him and now his wife is going to try and fight him. Could this day get any more humiliating.
"relax" Gaara smiled "it's just sparring. By the time we are done you supper will be ready." knowing full well his brother could not resist a good meal.
"Fine" he huffed under his breath.
Maya emerged on the bottom floor of the sparring area about 10 minutes later where the two men waited for her. Nothing seemed different about her, she was not carrying anything in her hands she did not have a weapon in which she said that was where she was going.
"huh?" Kankuro uncrossed his arms, his brother doing the same watching the small woman stop right in front of them. Her long hair was tied in a pony tail wearing a tight fitting t-shirt and her jogging shorts. Her pink and white sneakers on her feet.
"I had to run to the hospital wing" she smiled.
"for what?" Gaara lifted his head in confusion.
"for this" she lifted her arm and wrapped around it was a thick band. She reached with the other hand and pulled something from it. a small needle she held between her small fingers, it was fine yet sharp.
"Maya..." Kankuro followed "you expect to beat me with needles?"
The wrist band was made up of many sharp acupuncture needles with the pointed ends facing in so she was able to pull them from their place with ease.
"do you know anything about acupuncture?" she questioned, her husband now complete engulfed with her. "baby, close your mouth" she followed in a narrowed voice.
"sorry" he closed his slightly opened mouth yet once again on her command.
"what about it?"
"hum" she paused holding the small needle between her hand "I'll show you then." she smiled placing the needle back in her wrist band, bringing her hands together and bowed before Kankuro. She dragged one of her legs back far behind extending one arm far head and the other behind on a sort of graceful kung fu style stance.
"what the hell" the brown haired boy lifted his eye brow at the tiny woman now ready for his advances.
"common Kankie I haven't got all day" she stated flatly waiting for him to take his position.
Gaara began his walk from their way as a small chuckle pushed from his chest. He had never seen Maya fight before so this will be interesting.
Kankuro crouched in his Thaijutsu position ready for his advances watching Maya in her graceful stance. Within a few seconds he bolted forward at her and threw the first punch she tilted her head slightly to the side to avoid it grabbing his wrist with her hand that had the needles reaching her free hand to grab once from hits perch as she swiftly spun her back to him. The pointed end of the needle was now ready to puncture his skin where she wished to place it. a quick move, and a slight painful cold feeling she buried the needle deep in the side of his throat.
"what the hell?" Kankuro found it hard for him to talk, let alone move. His body became cold and numb in a rush. Maya had already let go of his fist that tried to hit her and circled her frozen prey. Gaara of course shocked beyond belief that Maya could even move so fast to place a small needle in his brothers neck.
"Acupuncture" she started " is a form of, medical treatment, but can be used for combat as well." she circled in front of his frozen frame leaning in close to his face. "it can block your flow of chi if applied properly. Chi is the Chinese word that you know as Chakra"
"what? Maya take it out" he almost gave a pout. With his pitiful words she reached her hand around his neck brushing her fingers over his sweaty skin and pulled the needle from its' place embedded into his flesh. Kankuro lifted his hand and rubbed the place where she had taken it out, stroking it back and forth.
"but lucky for you I don't do this stuff hardly anymore." she smiled placing the needle back in her wrist. She turned to her now dumbfounded lover with complete shock in his eyes. "and you, with your sand." she giggled and one swift move she pulled another needle and threw it in his direction his sand of course rushed to protect him from the oncoming small blade. The needle traveled directly though the sand to a point on his neck.
"what the fuck" he spat his body froze like his brothers once was, his sand dropping to the floor around his feet as he felt his chakra slip. "how are you even able to get past my sand."
"even your sand can't stop something that is small like that needle?" she walked towards his frozen figure with a sweet smile "It was too fast?" she grabbed a handful of his black shirt in her hand tugging it down to pull her own body up close to his face.
"I'm gonna go see if supper is ready" Kankuro grunted leaving the room in a huff, knowing the two were going to get all mushy mushy.
She reached up and pulled the needle from his throat and watched his body hunch over holding the spot where it once had been. She placed the pin back in it's place once again around her wrist.
"hum, I didn't even have to do any martial arts" she giggled at red head, his posture was now straightening in front of her." I thought you two would be more of a challenge"
"amazing..." His deep voice trailed off. "but, how come you don't use it if it is so effective?"
her eyes fell to the floor scuffing her feet, playing with the dust on it that had collected there throughout the years.
"My Sifu (Chinese for master) Died like I said."
"but he obviously taught you much"
"he did but I'd rather not use his methods any longer."
"why?"
"Gaara, please... " She paused lifted her wide sad eyes to him.
"what? Tell me?"
"you really don't want to know." she started with a quiver in her voice. "it's been so long"
"I will not judge you"
with a long pause she began in her quiet voice "he tried to rape me" her voice now beginning to cry, her eyes swelling with liquid "and I had no choice to protect myself. I killed him" her eyes turned to the ground once again her cheeks wet with her tears. Gaara's stomach nearly fell to the floor letting his arms drop uncontrollably to his sides. His eyes now stuck on his crying wife, he hated when she cried he somehow figured it was his fault, that he could have prevented her tears.
"Maya...." He wrapped his arms around her upperback and closed them in around her holding her in a tight embrace. "I am here" he spoke hearing her cries muffled though his shirt.
She didn't want that memory to be brought up once again where it took her a long time to forget, a long time to move on with her life. Her sifu, she grew fond of him and his teachings, they were friends. Until that one day he wanted something more and for himself. Something more personal as a payment for all his hard work on her. The result was in his own death by her hand, she had exceeded him and mastered the art beyond his teaching and her success became his final downfall.
"I am here" he repeated running his fingers though her hair brushing it from her wet face pushed into his chest.
