Sakura and Naruto stood together in full ANBU gear. Sakura’s skin tight black uniform top stopped just above the bottom of her rib cage; her shorts barely concealed by mesh and cargo pockets. Both had a katana strapped to their backs.
Sakura’s hood, attached to her uniform, covered her bubblegum pink hair. Under only a single ray of light, stood the Uchiha as they’d left him the day before. He didn’t lift his head to meet their gaze as Tsunade and the Elder’s of the village stepped in beside Sakura and Naruto. “Uchiha Sasuke.” Tsunade started out in a low, unforgiving tone. The boy in question barely lifted his head enough to expose his mouth under the shadows of the glaring light and his own shaggy mane. Sakura’s tendons creaked softly under the gloves of her hands. Naruto, beside her, glanced at her through the circular holes of his mask before crossing his arms.
Behind them stood Kakashi, his Ying Yang mask in place with his own hood; attached to his uniform. “You stand before the council of Konoha; and those who’ve your crimes hurt the most.” His head tilted up just a little bit more, the black of his eyes dull and depthless as he looked first to the Shinobi wearing a yellow and orange fox mask; then to the feline, pink and white colored mask beside him. “Make your plea.”
He was silent for a moment, before he dropped his head a fraction; casting his eyes back into shadow. “I am guilty, without question, of my crimes against Konoha.”
Again, Sakura flinched; the muscles in her arms bunching so tightly that the creak of her powerful tendons filled the room like the crack of a whip. Naruto reached out and grabbed her hand. Kakashi shifted from his left foot, to his right.
“The council of Konoha convened and deemed your crimes to be worthy of a painless death.” Sakura flinched again, but didn’t make a sound. “However, it is my word that will officially declare the order of your fate. Konoha will give you but one chance; fail in any way and you shall be put to death without question.” His head lifted; lips parting only a fraction in surprise. Through the shadows of his hair, Sasuke could see the two ANBU; Fox and the pink colored feline. ‘Sakura...Naruto...’ Even after all he’d done to them, after everything he’d put ‘HER’ through; they were sticking their necks out for him...again. A flash of anger was quickly replaced by a soft warmth that made him smile. Quickly he dropped his head before it could be seen.
“You will be placed under house arrest until further notice. You will take up residence with Uzumaki Naruto. You will be allowed out to work and eat; under the watch of either Haruno Sakura or Uzumaki Naruto. If neither of them are available, another ANBU member will be your escort. You will not be given a choice to accept or deny; your actions here-by forth will dictate the outcome of your life.”
Tsunade then turned in a flurry of white; the Elders following, leaving behind the hidden and revealed ANBU members.
Sakura stepped forward her hands loosening as she shot a glare into the darknes. “Release him. Now.” Almost instantly the spikes embedded into his flesh retreated with the hard ‘schling’ of metal against metal. The chains loosened and the Uchiha fell ungracefully to his knees. Sakura moved forward with Naruto to remove the chains from around his forearms. The moment they touched him, Sasuke lifted his head, looked at both and then smirked softly before dropping his head again. Once he was free of his confines, Sakura and Naruto helped him rise by putting one arm over each of their shoulders.
“To West Street.” Sakura whispered softly as Kakashi turned to follow them out. Naruto nodded.

Once inside Sakura’s house, Kakashi kept watch as Naruto and Sakura changed out of their ANBU uniforms before even entering the apartment. Sakura was in her Jounin uniform as she stepped in behind Naruto, pulling her hair up into that Shikamaru style hair-do. She walked around to the Gurney that was set up in a spare room; where Sasuke lay. His eyes followed her about the room as she tugged at the wrists of her gloves and looked down at him. “Your chakra lines are clogged...its going to hurt.” “No more than it did when they clogged them.” He mumbled and looked to the ceiling. Naruto stood beside Kakashi; the latter still in ANBU gear.
Sakura cracked her fingers then ghosted one hand over Sasuke’s brow, then other above his solar plexus. A bubble shaped glow of green chakra enveloped Sakura’s hands; her eyes on the hand above his head. She poured chakra in through that hand, filtered it through his body before pulling it back into herself through the hand over his stomach. Sasuke’s jaw muscles flexed and bunched; but no expression of pain crossed his face as he stared dully at the ceiling. It took only a few minutes, but once Sakura was done, she removed the hand above his head first, looked down at the hand above his solar plexus; reabsorbing her own chakra, and then lifted her hand away.
She turned then to a syringe, already full of a soft blue liquid. “This will help numb the pain.” She explained almost monotonously, her expression blank and her eyes hooded. She pressed the needle into a pressure point on his neck before pulling it back out; empty. Sasuke’s eyes fluttered before flashing over to hers. She smirked down at him absently as she lifted first his arms, which were not only severely chafed but also sustaining several puncture wounds. She glanced over to Naruto and Kakashi; knowing better than to try and shoo them away. It was going to take a while; she suspected they knew it. Naruto was leaning casually against a wall while Kakashi remained alert and upright near the door.
Sakura looked back down at his arm as her left hand held up the muscled arm of her former teammate, while her right ghosted over his flesh with a soothing chakra balm. “So, as you might have guessed, Naruto-kun is under the Hokage’s apprenticeship to become the Sixth.” Sakura spoke softly, conversationally. Sasuke’s eyes, which hadn’t left her hands, suddenly moved up to her face. “Aa.”
“So, as you might have guessed too,” Naruto’s gruff voice was low and uncharacteristically devoid of emotion, “this house is under Alpha-Bravo alert.” Sakura’s eyebrow twitched as she glanced to Naruto with a heated glare. The blond rolled his eyes as Sasuke reluctantly moved his eyes from Sakura’s face to Naruto’s. “Meaning you can’t even piss, without any one of us knowing about it.” Sakura frowned.
Sasuke watched Naruto for a second longer after he spoke, before looking back at Sakura. She flashed him a weary smile before going back to his arm. He looked down as well. The soothing softness of her chakra was something Sasuke remembered, but it was nothing compared to now. It was a delicate chime that pushed aside the burning effects of the chains. She hadn’t even started on the puncture wounds yet.
Almost two hours later, Sakura had both his arms completely healed; helping him sit up, as he was numb from the neck down, Sakura moved to the puncture wounds freckling his back and shoulders. Each puncture, because of its infliction and purpose, took almost twenty minutes to heal completely. She not only had to sew back up the tissue and flesh, but also pull out the chakra lines still intact; one at a time.
It was well after two in the morning before Sakura finished the last one. She was far from drained, but she still heaved a sigh and wiped a thin sheet of sweat from her brow as she stepped back. Sasuke hadn’t stopped looking at her, even as she moved to clean up. Naruto frowned and stepped forward. “That’s our cue, teme. Time to go.” Sasuke looked to Naruto as Sakura stepped around the Gurney to replace her tools into a cabinet. Kakashi watched her before he turned back to Sasuke. Pulling, almost out of no where, Sasuke’s haroi and purple rope belt; he set them on the end of the Gurney between Sasuke’s legs. “Dragon.” Sakura said as Naruto helped Sasuke off the Gurney. Kakashi turned towards her. “If I could have a moment?” The ANBU member glanced at Naruto, who snickered with a soft nod. Kakashi turned and opened the door; Sakura followed him out.
“I want Sasuke every day for a check up. Those chakra lines; I couldn’t get all of them. They regenerate, and until I can get permission to completely remove them from the Hokage, the best I can do it dampen the effects. If he even tries and shadow clone jutsu, those lines will multiply and render him completely incapacitate. However, left alone, they’ll slowly drain his chakra network to nothing and he’ll never be able to use a jutsu again.” Kakashi slouched and crossed his arms. “Sakura...” “Don’t.” She snapped softly. He reached up to scratch his cheek under the mask before they both turned as Naruto and Sasuke came out of the room. Sasuke was scowling ever so softly at Naruto; who braced his arm across his shoulders; Naruto scowling right back at him.
“Very well. Naruto has a three day mission in two days; Sasuke will remain with you for the time being.” Naruto blinked and looked at Sakura who had her arms crossed over her medical coat. She arched an eyebrow at him as the blond pouted. She read his expression, ‘don’t torture yourself...’ Her eyes hardened with a reply. ‘don’t assume I don’t know what I’m doing.’
Naruto nodded. “If you say so.” He answered verbally as he swung Sasuke’s arm above his head, letting the teme stand on his own as he moved to Kakashi’s side. The two popped out with a quick jutsu. Sakura sighed and glanced at Sasuke before she turned. “You need to eat something, hope you don’t mind rice and vegetables. Of course, you need a good helping of meat for protein...I think I might have some venison.” Sasuke watched her as she moved towards the kitchen. Still slightly numb, he braced himself, with a hand on the wall, and moved after her.
He leaned heavily against the door frame with a sour expression on his face as he glared down at himself. However, he was quickly distracted as Sakura shrugged out of her medical coat. She wore a skin tight red tank top over a full length mesh shirt. Black cargo pants and high boots accented her shapely legs and backside. He growled softly as his eyes roamed. ‘She’s grown...into quite an attractive ninja...I wonder what she capable of...after all, the Hokage wouldn’t let just anyone decide the fate of an S-Class criminal without some kind of reason.’
Sakura might not have felt his gaze; or perhaps she did, as she glanced back to see him admiring her backside. She arched an eyebrow and cleared her through, hardly amused. Sasuke’s eyes flashed up to hers. “See something you like?” Her tone and words made his eyebrows rise in surprise. Before, him simply glaring at her would make her squirm and blush; now he was ogling her, and she was the one glaring.
“Actually?” He asked, frowning. “I do.” Sakura glanced him up from down before sighing and turning back to the cupboards. “You need a shower too. I don’t have that many clothes, but I’ll wash yours and you can wear an old pair of sweats in the mean time. I’m sure you can find the guest bathroom without trouble.” He nodded with a grunt as he pushed himself off the doorjam. However, just as he was about to turn, Sakura’s cold detached voice made him pause. “I’m sure I don’t have to tell you this, but don’t go into my room if you value your legs.” He looked over to see she was quite serious, her expression hard and unforgiving. He frowned. “No. You don’t have to tell me.” She smirked softly, the pleasure touching her eyes as she turned back to the raw meat. “Good, and don’t worry, my shampoo and soap doesn’t smell girly. Well, not too girly anyway.”
He grunted again and left the kitchen, into a hallway, which he followed back to a door that stood away from the other two. Figuring it was the bathroom, he opened the door. It was. The tiles were sea-foam green with matching rugs. Pale green marble with dark green swirls made up the counter top and the sink. He closed the door behind him, shrugged out of his haroi; glanced around and found the hamper. Dumping it, he shrugged out o the rest of his clothing.
The stand in shower stood next to a large tub that sat on four silver claws. His eyebrows arched as he took note of the pictures that were hung. Luck Dragons. He snorted and opened the shower door, stepping inside and turning the silver handles until the water spouted forth; adjusting the temperature, he absently took note of the shampoo and conditioner. Beside the bottles was a soap on a string. Picking it up he sniffed it. It smelled only of soap and slightly of mint. “Hm.”

Sakura sighed as she dropped the slices of meat into the skillet, watching them sizzle in the thin layer of oil and spices. Her culinary skills had improved since she was a Chuunin. After all, with her salary and nothing to do with it; she decided to perfect all of her flaws, including cooking. Lee refused to be payed, but she’d managed to convince Hinata and forced Kakashi into accepting her cash.
Once all the meat was in the sause pan, she checked on the rice and found it boiling. Turning the fryer off, she placed the lid over the pot and turned back to the vegetables laying neatly in a row beside a fresh cutting board. Picking up the knife she carefully chopped the carrots, cleaned the beans and broke apart the broccoli. She added some more vegetables to the dish before she checked the meat again; she dumped in the vegetables with a shot of soy sauce, stirred it together and then let it simmer. She turned when she felt his chakra signature enter the kitchen.
He peered over her shoulder with a hint of distrust before looking back at her. Sakura smiled. “You need a hair cut.” He blinked, then glanced up at his shaggy mane, which fell only slightly into his eyes; before looking back at her. “I suppose you would know.” She set her hands on her hips, biting the inside of her cheek to keep from losing her temper. “I could cut it for you, or we can go get it done tomorrow. Besides, I’m due for one anyway.” She sighed, tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear. Sasuke frowned and tilted his head. “Why do you keep it short?” Sakura blinked, then shrugged as she turned back to the stove. “I like it short.” “I thought you liked it long.” “No, I was under the impression that you liked it long.” He understood and grunted as he turned to go and sit at the table. The shower had helped to give feeling back to his body, but he was still shaky.
Sakura smirked to herself as she stirred the meat and vegetables, her mind admiring the image of him in her sweats. Of course, his chest was bare, being that he wouldn’t fit into any of her shirts anyway; but that didn’t help the perverted side of Sakura’s mind.
Not only with maturity, did Inner Sakura become perverted, but she also became overly observant of the male body. Being a medical-nin, after all, had its advantages. She smirked and checked on the rice; found it done and added it to the meat and vegetables. Stirring it together one more time, she picked up the sauce pan and dumped the contents into a large bowl.
She grabbed two sets of chop sticks, two bowls, and set them on the table. Sasuke watched her as she set the large bowl of food in the center before setting down a glass in front of him and another across from him. “What do you want to drink? Soda, water, milk...? I have sake too, but I don’t think that’ll do you any good just yet.” “Hm? Why is that?” He asked, reaching for the glass as the frosted silver around the edge reminded him of ice. “Well, for one, it won’t help the healing process; and for two, I don’t know how your tolerance for wine is.” He grunted again. “Milk will be fine.” Sakura nodded as she pulled out the jug and set it on the table. Sasuke blinked and watched as she turned and walked to the counter, where he hadn’t noticed a bottle of sake warming in a wooden tub of hot water. He arched an eyebrow as she removed the bottle and walked back to the table, filling her glass only half way, she sat down and lifted her glass in a toast. “Dig in.” She whispered dully, glancing off to the side as she sipped at her wine. Sasuke watched her before he helped himself to the stir fry. Taking a bite, his eyebrows shot up again and he grunted. Sakura instantly was watching him. She arched an eyebrow when he swallowed and sat up right. “Its good.” Her eyebrow twitched. He blinked on confusion, wondering why she would react that way to a compliment. “Meaning you thought it wouldn’t?” Sasuke smirked, ‘ah...still touchy I see.’ “Of course, your cooking skills were something to be feared.” She snorted and glared off to the side again. “Were.” She agreed. Sasuke ignored her then, shoveling food into his mouth as gracefully as possible. Sakura sighed, dished out her own helping and ate in silence.
