Chapter 13: Your Safety

Hey guys! Boy, it's been a long time again. You guys can expect that I'll update soon… it's really hard for me to update… I just don't have the time. Sorry again… but please enjoy this chapter! Please review! I sort of felt bad for the last Christmas present... so yeah...

AKEMI'S POV:

I feel so… light…

The wolf vanished. I think Hideki… was doing this… he was making all of the nighmares…

What was with the wolf? It was like before, when I had that nightmare. I think I ditched it in time, it was trying to eat me…

The seal on my stomach was searing with pain… My chakra level was rising…

I kept hearing a voice…

And it wasn't Sai's.

“You'll need me next time…and don't try to resist…”

I felt myself falling…

“A… A…”

Who was that?

“Akemi… Akemi…”

Was someone calling me?

“Akemi wake up…”

Wake up? But I'm already…

“Akemi, wake up!” said Sai.

Oh shit!

I pooped my eyes open. I was falling from the cliff.

“Shit!” I said.

Someone grabbed my hand.

“Agh…” I said.

He pulled me up. It was Kakashi.

“K… Kakashi-chan!”

KAKASHI'S POV:

Was Akemi nuts or something? What was up with her?

“I got you…” I said, bringing her up.

The brute force made her tackle me. Ah… the memories…

I grunted in pain. Yes… the bruise from her last tackle was still there.

“Akemi-chan, are you okay?” I asked, bringing her up to her feet.

Her expression…

She was… crying.

“Akemi-chan?”

She hugged me.

“I… I'm sorry,” she wailed.

I grinned.

“It's okay…” I said.

“I love you…”

WHAT THE F—?

“What did you say?” I said, startled.

She smiled at me. Her eyes were still silver.

“I love you daddy!” she giggled. (A/N: Whoa... what the hell?)

Daddy?

WHAT THE…?

“Akemi-chan what…?”

She fell. Her grip released me.

“Akemi-chan?” I said. I grabbed her before she fell on the ground.

“Wha… wha happened…?” she asked.

“Akemi-chan, are you okay?” I asked.

“I guess,” said Akemi.

Her eyes… were brown again…

“Agh…” said Akemi. “Don't tell me… that I tried seducing you or something…”

“Yeah... you did.”

“What?” said Akemi. “Y'mean…?”

“I was just joking…”

"You really want this, don't you?" asked Akemi, grabbing my book and powering it up.

Uh-oh, book attack. A baddie.

And suddenly, Akemi was kneeling on the ground, coughing blood. She was clutching her stomach.

“Akemi-chan!” I said.

I'd better inform Tsunade… but we were much too far away. (The hotel was in a different village)

I blinked. A.k.a. the unusual blink. (A/N: I know everyone blinks, but in case you guys are confused, it's the "What in the world?" kind of blink, catch my drift?)

What was going on?

AKEMI'S POV:

What's… happening to me? Agh… I don't feel too well…

My stomach was searing with pain. I looked around my surroundings. Hideki was gone.

“We… we have to find Hideki-kun!” I said. I ran toward the forest again.

“Wait!” said Kakashi.

I ran and ran… but I just couldn't find him.

“Damn…” I said.

Kakashi had caught up to me.

“W… what's wrong?” he asked.

“Nothing…” I said.

Maybe if I summoned my dogs…

But I didn't have my stuff with me… I was still wearing my pajamas… sigh…

I heard a scream.

“Did you hear that?” I said.

“Hear what?”

“That… noise…”

Kakashi and I ran ahead. The screams were getting louder and louder.

“It's coming from the hotel!” I said.

What if… Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura were in trouble?

Eh?

I saw a guy in the forest. He was carrying what looked like a… chainsaw… I couldn't make out his face because it was too dark…

What the heck?

“You shouldn't worry about that right now,” said Sai. “The kids need you!”

“Um… uh… um…Right!”

“Wow… you're slow.”

“Shaddup.”

As we got there, no doubt about it, were screams from Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura.

“Guys!” I said, panicking. “Hold on!”

I opened the paper door. Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura were surrounded by dark light. Their expressions… didn't change… they seemed… happy?

Kakashi tried getting them down, but the light forced him to back away.

“Dammit…” I snarled.

In the corner of the room… it was…

“Hideki-kun?”

He strolled toward Sakura and entered into her mind.

“Wha-?”

I ran over to Sakura. The black light surrounding Sakura was trying to pull me under as well.

My hand was being absorbed into Sakura's head.

“Akemi-chan, what are you…?”

Kakashi came over and grabbed my hand.

“Trust me!” I said.

I allowed the light to swallow me.

“What are you doing?” said Kakashi.

“Don't worry about it!” I said, pulling Kakashi with me.

We appeared in a room. It was dank and dark… pitch black.

“Sakura-chan?” I said.

I saw a crouched child near the corner of the room. She was crying.

“Hey…” I said. It was Sakura.

“Sakura-chan…”

I felt a presence behind me. I turned around to see Sasuke.

“Sasuke-kun…” I said. “Dude… I…”

“Wait,” said Kakashi. “Doesn't he look a little strange?”

I looked at Sasuke. He had a grin on his face.

…An evil one. Wasn't it alwas evil... when he saw me?

Ah well...

His hand was covered in blood, so was the kunai he was holding. The blood… who did it belong to…?

I looked at Sakura. Her arm was bleeding. There were bodies next to her. All bloody and not moving… One was Naruto, Kakashi, and me.

“No way…” I said.

Sasuke ran towards Sakura.

“You disgust me!” said Sasuke, raising his kunai.

She screamed.

Kakashi blocked the kunai, while I grabbed for Sakura.

“Sakura-chan!” I said.

“Please don't hurt me!” said Sakura. “I… I'm sorry…”

“It's okay dudet…” I said. “C'mon…”

Kakashi knocked out Sasuke.

“Is Sakura afraid that Sasuke will turn against us?” I asked Kakashi.

“I dunno…” he replied.

I saw Hideki appear.

“Hideki, wait!” I said.

He went into a room.

Sakura disappeared. I followed him, so did Kakashi.

This time… it was a village.

“Where are we?” I asked.

The sky was red, so were the surroundings.

“What the…?”

I heard screams…

I saw Sasuke… as a little boy…

He was crying… and right in front of him was…

“Itachi…” said Kakashi.

“Huh?”

Wait… he looked like…

That one man from the river… who tried to grab me… Not… it can't be.

Itachi was raising his kunai, to strike at Sasuke.

“Hold it!” I yelled. I pushed Sasuke out of the way.

Kakashi and Itachi battled with each another.

“Are you okay Sasuke-bozu?” I asked, hugging him for comfort.

“Wha… what happened?” said Sasuke.

I frowned. Was this the reason why Sasuke was so sour all the time?

He was kind of cute as a little kid.

He disappeared. So did Itachi. So did the village.

Then I saw… fire…

I saw a blond boy in the middle, the fire was surrounding him. There were dead bodies everywhere.

“Naruto!” I screamed.

I ran to him and hugged him. Naruto was crying.

“Don't leave me…” sobbed Naruto. “I didn't mean to kill them…”

“Don't worry, I won't…” I said, smiling. There was a fox… a flamed fox. My stomach was searing with pain again…

The flamed fox must be the Nine Tails…

“It seemed you have entered their nightmares,” said Sai.

“A little too late to tell me Sai,” I said.

“Eheh…”

"My kin..." said a voice.

"Huh?" I said. "Was that you Sai?"

"No..."

Who said that?

In the corner of the room… laid a limp body.

It was Jiraiya.

He was dead.

“Whoa…” I said. That was… random.

Naruto disappeared… and Kakashi did too… so did I…

“EH!”

I blinked and saw myself next to Kakashi. Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura were observing me… as if to see if I was okay.

“Agh…” I said. Kakashi helped me up.

“Hey… are you guys okay?” I asked them.

They shrugged.

“I guess we are…” said Sakura.

“Wha… you mean…you guys… what did you dream about?” I asked.

“Some peace and quiet,” said Sasuke.

“A cute puppy,” said Sakura.

“Food,” said Naruto.

“Y'mean… you guys didn't think about…?”

They looked at me oddly.

I saw Hideki outside.

“Hideki-kun!” I said.

I ran outside toward him. Kakashi following. Man... that punk's pissing me off good.

Suddenly… really awful monsters and other stuff started coming out. Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura came out with us.

The kids started slashing the monster with their kunai and other stuff.

Kakashi and I did the same.

“Raikiri!” I said, unleashing my Chidori.

Kakashi did the same.

So did Sasuke.

We did this crazy Chidori combination. It combined into this one SUPER attack… it destroyed this one monster. He was… about eleven feet tall…

I finally saw Hideki… he looked scared…

“Hideki-kun, I'm coming!” I said.

“Wait, Akemi-chan!” said Kakashi.

Once I touched him (which is strange… because my hand used to go through him)… everything was black.

KAKASHI' POV:

I was sucked in with Akemi when she touched the boy. This little dude is troublesome...

It was definitely dark. I felt Akemi.

“Whitey-chan… is that you…?” said Akemi.

“Y… yeah…” I said, trying to get her hand. It was really dark.

I felt something really soft and warm.

“What the heck is this…?”

Akemi bonked my head with her fist.

“PERVERT!” screamed Akemi. “That's my…!”

“Oh crap… sorry…” I said, half laughing. “It was an accident…seriously.”

“You're the accident…” hissed Akemi.

“Akemi-chan…” I said, quite saddened. “That hurts…”

Akemi forcefully held my hand. Away from the merchandise, she deliberately squeezed my hand to death.

“Ouch…”

“So we wouldn't lose each other…”said Akemi. “C'mon… I think I see Hideki-kun…”

She walked slowly.

“Who's…?”

Akemi stopped.

AKEMI'S POV:

Where was Kakashi? I didn't see him or hear him.

“Kakashi-chan?” I called. “Kakashi-chan… Whitey-chan?”

I walked on. I thought he responded mostly toward his new nickname… but I guess it didn't work this time…

It was still pitch black.

But then I saw a light… just ahead…

I ran to it… but then stopped.

It was…

“Oh no…” I moaned. “Not you…”

KAKASHI'S POV:

What was with Akemi? She called my name, but when I responded… she ignored me.

Then she started taking paces.

Our surroundings seemed to get brighter.

“Akemi-chan?”

She was looking at something that was straight ahead.

I peered over.

It was… a wolf…

I think it was the wolf she was talking about… the one she was so scared about… this must be Akemi's nightmare.

She stood frozen. Her face was white.

“Daddy?” she said.

Daddy?

I didn't get it. Her dad was the wolf?

“C'mon Akemi-chan,” I said, squeezing her hand and pulling her.

She didn't obey… she stared crying.

“Please… I didn't mean to…” she said, her voice was breaking. “I… didn't…”

“Akemi-chan, snap out of it...!” I said.

I started running… toward wherever I was running.

Akemi looked so white… she looked like a ghost…

I was running and running… but I was getting nowhere.

I looked behind me to see the wolf chasing after us.

“Come back Akemi…” said the wolf. Wow, wolves talk?

“Argh…”

I ran and ran. My legs were moving… but I wasn't going anywhere. Eh? What the heck…?

Akemi was sobbing.

“Hang on…” I said.

I took out a kunai.

I stopped to face the wolf. It attacked us.

I dodged the attack, pushing Akemi as well. It looked like its main objective was Akemi.

“Shit…” I said. I threw my kunai toward the wolf. It dodged it. Akemi tried running… but she didn't get anywhere either.

She screamed when the wolf prepared to strike.

I've never seen Akemi so emotional in my life…

“Akemi-chan!” I said.

I ran in between them.

AKEMI'S POV:

What's wrong with me?

Why aren't I doing anything?

“No matter… I will gather my kin…”

What the hell is he talking about?

Dammit…

I couldn't move… all I did was scream:

“I'M SORRY!”

Sometimes I wonder… if I am forgiven yet…

I felt blood.

But it wasn't mines.

WHOSE BLOOD WAS IT? HUH? Whoa… that was an intense chapter… wonder how Akemi gonna pull this one off? And… what's with the wolf? Anyhow… you've gonna hafta know next chapter! I've been updating 2x the speed… so yeah… please review!
