It was the day of the exams and the entire village seemed to be pilling into the stadium to watch the fights of the day. Many that were there, whether they were ninja or civilian, came to watch the second match between Uchiha Sasuke and Gaara of the Sand and to cheer on their beloved Sharingan wielder.
There were a few though that came to root on the other Konoha contestants for the day. Much of the Nara clan along with their clan partners the Akimichi and Yamanaka had come to watch the small clan's genius battle the wind mistress of the sand, Temari. It was the same for the Aburame clan as their prodigy would be facing Kankuro of the sand.
Then there happened to be a few higher ups, and even a few servants, of the Hyuuga clan there to support the branch house prodigy Neji who had defeated the heiress of the clan in the prelims. One of these was the clan head, Hiashi, who had came to personally see his nephew and hoping that he could fix a mistake he had let fester for too long.
Yet there was almost no one to cheer on his opponent, which was something that bothered him as well. He knew his eldest daughter, Hinata, would do so but he had no clue where she had disappeared to so instead he brought Hanabi in order to show her what it takes to be a ninja. Still he could count the people that were there to root for him on one hand yet there was far too much rooting against him.
Another thing that was bothering him was the fact that the Uzumaki had not shown up. He expected him to be a little tardy thanks to the sensei he was being taught by and probably picked up some bad habits from him but still it was almost time and he wasn't there. The boy couldn't have become afraid... Could he? He was very sure when the boy made a promise he kept it no matter the cost so what was keeping him?
This thought was shared by the few that were there and knew Naruto. The first to question this was Yamanaka Ino who went out of her way to find some people she knew and the first was Kiba and Chouji. "Hey! Do either of you know why Naruto isn't here? It isn't like him to miss something like this."
"I have to agree." Kiba growled as he looked down at the arena as the Hokage began his speak to those that had arrived. "For all the things Naruto may be, he would not miss this for the world. Either something is slowing him down or someone is making sure he isn't going to come."
As Ino looked shocked at that, Chouji simply nodded in agreement as he knew the orange clad ninja well. "No doubt... I'm betting if he is being held up or someone is trying to stop him from getting here it is those people that give him those disgusted looks for almost no reason."
"Well if you're going by that it would narrow the suspects down to half the village." Kiba responded as he too had noticed the cold, hate filled looks always focused onto the sunshine known as Uzumaki Naruto. "Still, I don't think regular villagers would really be able stop him."
"What are you to talking about? Naruto isn't hated by half the village!" Ino hissed at them, though keeping it rather quite as she didn't want others to hear what their conversation was about.
"You aren't very observant, are you Ino?" Kiba growled back at her as he cringed as the new proctor began to call for the contestants but Naruto was no where in sight. "If you paid half as much attention as either of us you would notice the contempt he gets on a regular basis. I still think it is amazing he acts like he does despite the pressure placed upon him. ...And dammit! Where is he?! He'll get disqualified if he doesn't show up soon!"
"That I wouldn't worry about, Inuzuka." Another voice came from behind them and forced them to look back and see Tenten slowly walking over towards them. "Lord Naruto is simply bidding his time and waiting for the last possible second to arrive. He absolutely enjoys making a scene and causing havoc and chaos when it is unnecessary."
"Lord Naruto?" Ino immediately question wondering what in the hell was going on and why Tenten of all people was telling them this. "First off, what the hell is with that? Secondly, how do you know this and finally why are you dressed like your prepared to go to war?! You look like an Anbu with that gear on!"
Just gazing at her for a split second, Tenten only shrugged as she moved pasted them and leaned against the railing, looking down upon the arena. "All those questions will be answered very soon once the King arrives. I suggest you wait until then as I am not at liberty to answer your questions."
"This is the last call!" Genma yelled out, getting very annoyed that Naruto had not responded and came down yet. "Uzumaki Naruto! If you are not in this arena in one minute you will be disqualified and Neji will be declared the winner of this match!"
While Neji didn't really care that much as it would allow him to conserve some energy going into his fight against either Gaara or Sasuke, he rather hoped to fight the dead last of the last graduation class. He was interesting and after his proclamation during the prelims he actually wanted to fight him and prove he had no standing in this world of theirs.
Genma was getting plenty pissed. While he didn't care one way or the other about Naruto as a person or what he contained, he was getting severely angered that the boy seemingly refused to show up. This was a fight he was expecting and even if he thought it would be one sided he at least wanted the damn demon vessel to try and back up his words.
Checking the time limit he gave, he groaned as time was almost up and he was ready to call the match. He could see the Hokage was worried and probably ask for the match to be pushed back as he felt something was wrong with Naruto so he would confer with him first before doing so.
But just at the moment the wind began to pick up within the arena before lighting started to strike the ground repeatedly before him and the Hyuuga prodigy. Leaves began to pick up but due to the charring electric surge around ignited but still swirled around violently until a figure appeared within a small vortex.
Many began watching the scene in shock as the lone figure became visible. Almost nothing was recognizable about this person outside of the sunshine blonde hair. He wore a black cloak around his body, leaving it slightly open to reveal his pitch black armor chest plate like the Anbu wore. On his face was a fiery mask with small markings to let people know it was that of a fox.
But what let Genma know this was the person he was waiting on was the crystal blue eyes starring at Neji through the eye sockets, looking very cold and barely any emotion being seen within.
"It is time... My Lord has arrived." Tenten announced before she reached down into her pouch strapped to her leg before sliding a mask out of it and placing it onto her face. "Our time has come."
With those last words, Tenten literally disappeared from sight and left Kiba, Chouji and Ino in shock as they weren't sure what was going on. All they knew was that somehow, someway the person below was Uzumaki Naruto... But how? This figure looked nothing like him and was even a few inches taller then what they last remembered him to be.
"Proctor... I am sorry for being late. I had a small matter that I had to attend to first." Naruto spoke, his voice sounding far older then anyone remembered it. "If I am still able, I would like to participate in this fight."
Still looking at the masked figure, finding it hard to believe this was the blonde sunshine, Genma wasn't sure what to do now. He could hear the scratches and knew a voice alterator was being used but how would Naruto get one of those as they were quite expensive and gennin weren't allowed to purchase such equipment.
"I'm sorry, but I need proof that it truly is you. Remove that mask." Genma stated, trying to solve what was going on but before he could go any further he was stopped by the other contestant.
"There is no need... I've already checked him myself. That is my opponent." Neji interrupted as he gazed over at the armored figure before him and grinned. "But don't think that equipment will help you at all, Uzumaki. My clan specializes in piercing armor and attack an opponent from within."
"I already know... This armor isn't meant to stop your attacks otherwise I would have brought my chakra disruption armor specifically designed to stop attacks like yours." Naruto stated, making Neji take a step back as he coldly gazed towards him. "Besides... On this day you will not touch me. That I guarantee as I am not the same person you saw in the prelims. Please begin our match, proctor. The audience is becoming restless."
Grimacing as he wasn't sure what in the world was going on, Genma looked over at the Hokage. That didn't make him feel any better as the Third didn't look like he knew what was going on but still gave him a nod in confirmation to start the match. Sighing as there was nothing else to do, Genma gazed at both. "Alright, let the first match of this years Chunin Exam Finals commence! Uzumaki Naruto and Hyuuga Neji, fight!"
Silently whispering his doujutsu name as he activated it, Neji slid into a basic jyuken stance as he kept from growling. This loser had no idea what he was talking about. There was no such armor that could deter a Hyuuga from attacking in close range. But then... Why was he slowly approaching him with no fear?!
Taking a step at a time towards Neji, taking his time as he walked over to the branch house prodigy, Naruto grinned under his mask as he could see the Hyuuga was becoming flustered rather quickly as he neared him. He was within a few feet of him now, still moving forward in a nonchalant manner and acting as if he didn't care about the dominance the Hyuuga preached about their taijutsu style.
Then Neji struck. This blonde was pissing him off and he didn't care if he had a sudden growth spurt and had more defined muscles and just looked stronger then he was before. Strength mattered not to a Hyuuga as those with strength fell quickly to them. But as he struck out, his opponent only side stepped the blow and continued his pace.
Lashing out at this, Neji growled as Naruto simply side stepped once more before he tried to strike him in the chest as he lunged forward. But Naruto simply ducked as his grin suddenly began to disappear and his face began to harden.
Then with a burst of speed he had not possessed in the exams, Naruto was at Neji's left side before he grabbed the back of his hair with his left hand and yank him down. Before Neji could react as he was being brought to the ground, Naruto chopped him in the throat before tossing him to the side with little effort.
Skidding across the ground, finding it very difficult to breath, Neji gasped out as he couldn't believe what had just transpired. The blonde had simply dominated him with little effort and tossed him aside as if he was nothing more then a rag doll. And to make it worse he was tossed over fifteen meters and nearly skidded into one of the few trees in the arena.
Naruto, however, was not finished as his hands quickly blurred through hand seals. The air around him became deathly still before a loud, ominous roar filled the stadium as a vortex of wind began to form before him and took the shape of an angered dragon. Then without another roar, the dragon dashed towards the down Hyuuga, stunned to see a dragon made of pure wind.
'What the... That is suppose to be impossible! No one has ever managed to tame the wind so much to focus it and create a dragon before!' Neji screamed in his mind, being a small scholar of ninjutsu among other things.
But as the dragon reached him, a whirl of blue chakra surrounded Neji and the dragon suddenly began to spilt around it, tearing the ground around it apart and causing a small debris of dirt to cover the spot the Hyuuga was standing.
Naruto, however, immediately responded as he saw what had happened. "By releasing chakra from your each of your points in a constant but equal manner you are able to repel many ninjutsu and almost all taijutsu attacks once you began to swirl it in a spiral pattern around yourself. ...It is hard to believe that a branch house member like yourself was taught the Kaiten."
"Or... Maybe you recreated it on your own." Naruto grinned as all Hyuuga looked on in shock at Neji performing their clan's ultimate attack. "Impressive for one such as yourself... But you have a lot of work left to perfect it and even more to localize it to a single point like your hands."
Hiashi immediately caught something wrong with what Naruto had said. No Hyuuga had ever perfected the Kaiten to such an extent that they could use it on one part of their body but the way he said it... Someone had. Who in the world could that be as he could name the few that actually knew the Kaiten and that was now including Neji.
Growling as he listened to what Naruto said, Neji refrained from lunging out and striking at Naruto as he remembered how he ended up so far from the blonde in the first place. "And what do you know?! You don't know how hard it is for me every day for being a branch house..."
"I know exactly how it feels and more. You need to be more observant of your surroundings and you would understand." Naruto stated before he held a hand up and gestured towards the crowd. "Tell me Hyuuga, how many people do you see with those eyes of yours that are directing disgusted, hate-filled and repulsed looks aimed towards me? I'll will stop my assault and give you the time to count them all."
Narrowing his eyes for a moment as he thought this to be some sort of trick, but Neji could sense no dishonesty from him and could see he was in a relaxed state. So he would humor him as he began to count... But as he did he began to realize something...
"There are over... A thousand at the least. There are so many I cannot count them all." Neji stated in slight fear as he looked back over at Naruto, how know closed his eyes as he listened to the crowd beginning to boo as there was no action and many began taunting them, mostly Naruto in particular.
Hearing this, Neji frowned as there was something wrong with this and he couldn't understand before he noticed Naruto slip his mask off, showing a very deep scar trailing down his face and onto his throat, directly down his left eye and surprising those who had never seen it before and thought it was fresh.
But what Neji noticed was the intense scaring around his eye that made it seem like there had been a transplant. But... Why couldn't he see this before? What was his mask coated with to keep his vision from seeing this before? And why was none of this visible during the prelims?
"Do you wished to know why they give me such harsh looks?" Naruto asked as he kept his eyes closed, his entire being eerily calm as he focused on Neji and Neji alone.
All those that knew what Naruto possessed began to look shell shocked at the thought of him telling every here what he was but waited for him to explain as they could sense something wasn't right. And for those that didn't know... They waited patiently to hear what he had to say.
Catching all of this with his eyes, Neji simply nodded as he too wanted to know as this was becoming rather creepy and while he wanted to tell him his story... Something told him this one was going to be far more interesting.
"Six years ago... I was viciously attacked by both villagers and ninja from this village." Naruto started, his eyes still closed as he began his story. "It was a cold, damp night and they had done well to keep me from screaming and took me to a very remote area within the village so no one else would notice."
"They all relished in punishing and torturing me, paying special attention to what caused the most pain and inflicting it upon me. But this time... Someone tried to save me... But she was too young and too naive to see that she was powerless. ...They tried to shoo her away but she still tried to help and they got tired of her and hurt her before the started on me once again, one driving a knife through my eye." He softly stated, trailing the scar on his right eye for a moment.
"It was at this moment... I began to realize that no matter what I did I would always be treated horribly and whoever tried to stand at my side would be hurt as well. I couldn't let that happen any more. ...So I waited until they were finished and left me to die. Yet as always the forgot no matter what they did nothing could kill me. I was and still am virtually immortal."
"But I didn't care what they did to me... I worried about what they did to the girl that tried to help me. ...I carried her limp figure to the apartment I had just been given... But no matter what I did nothing would help her... She was dying in my arms and I was desperate. That was when I heard a voice promising me what I wanted." Naruto said, his voice bearing no more emotions as his eyes began to flicker open.
"That voice belonged to the demon fox that nearly destroyed this village fourteen years ago... Kyuubi no Kitsune!" Naruto announced loudly as red chakra began to flare around him in a violent manner. "Because of their supposed self-righteous actions I was forced to accept help from the very being they truly loathed! I took her help without second thought as with its help I could save the girl and no longer feel the pain that was afflicted onto me every day of my life!"
"And with it... I called for her energy and healed all the damaged done to the girl and brought her back from the brink of death!" Naruto roared before the chakra around him began to recede back to his stomach and his demeanor became emotionless once more. "But she was unable to heal all the damage that was done to me... My eye could not be regenerated and I would never be able to have children thanks to what they did to me."
As it became deathly silent at what had just been said and many were looking around, trying to confirm what happened when Naruto softly spoke once more. "But one would ask to their self... Why did no one come to help me or where was everyone at? ...The answer was simple. There was something else that happened that night that drew all the attention. Uchiha Itachi had massacred his clan in the very same night."
"And in that very same night... He offered me a gift as he was the only one that sensed what had happened to me and felt Kyuubi's presence within the village. I had regained sight in my right eye and he went on his way, leaving me to take care of the girl within my possession. ...No one came to check up on me during the next three days and by then she had recovered and went home. ...No one knew what happened to either of us and we kept it that way."
"But we never forgot... We couldn't forget the pain inflicted upon us so we plotted and plotted until we figured out exactly what we could do to make this village suffer for what it has done to us." Naruto stated as his focused his attention onto Neji. "Youkai, assemble!"
Seven other figures suddenly appeared behind Naruto, all dressed in similar attire and equipment outside of their mask as each was unique. Each kept their position for a moment before the lead of the group stepped forward and took her place by Naruto's side before speaking. "It was difficult... But now we are strong enough to stand before this village and show them the grief they have caused us."
"HINATA!" Neji yelled out as he immediately recognized the voice and with his Byukugan pierced through her masked to see who the girl was. "What are you doing over there?!"
"Isn't it obvious... I am the girl he was speaking of!" Hinata growled viciously before she ripped off her mask, revealing her lavender eyes were now more and instead in their place were pink hues and now visible pupil. "I nearly died trying to save my love's life and with all the shit I had to deal with when I was young... I couldn't take it any longer! I wanted to show this fucking hell hole my wrath so I did everything I could to help my love!"
Feeling his hand on her shoulder, Hinata winced as her entire body shivered for a moment, she placed her mask back on before taking a deep breath as she gazed at Naruto. "I'm sorry my love... I got carried away. I will do my best to refrain from breaking again."
Simply nodding as she was now at an acceptable level, Naruto turned back to Neji before to the Youkai behind him. "See to it no one interferes and if you have to, create the barrier. It is time for us to finish this bout. That includes you as well Eagle."
"Yes my love." Hinata responded before they all disappeared before appearing on separate intervals on the stadium's walls, leaving Naruto in the ring alone with Neji.
"I'm sorry Neji... But now I must go all out. If you pass on before I'm done, I will allow you to rest in peace. You are not one I want to punish." Naruto stated before his very being began shimmer.
In the very next moment, Naruto was directly behind Neji yet he did nothing and gave Neji enough time to react to his presence. Neji attempted to spin around but seeing the attack coming Naruto landed a back hand to his face and knocked him to the ground before following with a kick into his gut, lifting him off the ground.
Skidding against the ground once more, he flipped to regain his balance only to find Naruto was already on him and grabbed the back of his collar before driving his other fist into his stomach multiple times before he turned and threw him back into the center of the arena.
Grunting as he picked himself off the ground, he now saw there was now multiple opponents and he instantly knew Naruto had used Shadow Clone. Seeing they had surrounded him rather quickly, he growled as he began preparing for the Kaiten once more. But this time he had no time to react as they suddenly went up in smoke before something wrapped around his ankles.
In the very next moment, he was flung into the air as red chains that seemed to be made of chakra ripped the ground, attached to his ankles and began to spin him around. But as he was being spun, he followed the length of the chakra chains to find that they were connected to Naruto's arms. But before he could figure out how to sever them he was smashed into the ground and slowly dragged towards his opponent.
As Neji reached him, Naruto commanded his chains to hold him in the air till they were at eye level. "How do you like it? This is my mother's blood limit. It may seem rather boring but it is very useful and is unbelievably difficult to break out of as they were used along with Hashirama's wood to restrain bijuu. This ability is why we Uzumaki are always chosen to be the vessels of Kyuubi."
"It can't be... How has Naruto activated that without me knowing?" Sarutobi spoke in amazement and a little fear as he watch the one-sided fight unfold before him before turning to one of the Anbu close to him. "Tenzo, I want to find out how Naruto has learn about his family and find out anything else you can. Something wrong is going on and I want to find out. Capture of one those Youkai if you must."
"Yes Lord Hokage." Tenzo bowed and disappeared from the Hokage's side and planned on doing as he asked.
"Is there a problem, Lord Hokage?" The Kazekage asked, looking over at the Third in wonder as he was quite enjoying this display and while the fact that Uzumaki held such power and seemed to control a small unit, it wasn't much to worry about. After all they all seemed to be gennin, maybe chunin at the most.
Sarutobi simply shook his head and sighed as he looked down at what was transpiring. "No, no... This is just rather unexpected and I would like to know what is going on."
But at this moment, Naruto turned his gaze upon the Hokage's both and with a quick glance and Neji he hurled the young man towards them, having him crash into the box. In the very next second, a flash of golden light caught every single person's attention as Naruto stood on top of Neji and gaze straight towards the Hokage. "Tell your man to fall back... He's make a huge mistake."
Leaning back into his seat, extraordinarily frightened that he had just witnessed the Flying Thunder God being used against him, the Third gazed at the blonde before him. "But how... This shouldn't be..."
"Let us just say the Wind whispering over the Waves told me the secrets of space and time." Naruto iterated as he looked over at the Hokage before stomping on Neji's back. "Now please call your man back... If not he will meet a very gristly fate. ...Raven can be very, very brutal."
In the very next second there was a loud scream before the said Anbu the Third had order was flung into the ring, one of the Youkai standing before him with navy blue mask that was elaborately designed to look like the head of a raven.
Seeing what happened, Naruto simply shrugged his shoulders before he disappeared in a swirl before appearing next to Raven and looked down at the man. "Let him live... There is no point in killing him. That wouldn't help our goal."
"But he attacked me." Bloody Raven responded, his red eyes shining behind his mask as he looked over at the head of the Youkai. "I have the right to defend myself and finish off my attacker."
"You will obey me otherwise I'll throw you into Hell again." Naruto responded with a slight hint of anger in his voice as he watched the Raven take a step back before nodding as he didn't want to be put in that place again. "Good... Return to your post and prepare for your fight. You are next, after all."
Everything came to a stop as the Hokage was tired with what was transpiring and appeared in the ring himself followed with the rest of the Anbu guarding him along with several top jounin, deciding it was time to act now. "This has gone far enough Naruto... If you continue I will have to throw you in jail..."
"So you've come to greet me! How wonderful! Now the snake is alone with my marker!" Naruto enthusiastically remarked, sounding much like he normally. However what he said...
In yet another flash of light, Naruto suddenly appeared next to the Kazekage, gripped his throat and slammed him against the wall. Reaching out, he ripped off the skin covering his face before looking straight into Orochimaru's golden eyes. "Now this is revenge for the forest as I couldn't go all out then!"
"Tsukiyomi."
The deathly screams of Orochimaru filled the stadium for only a few moments before Naruto let him go and the snake slunk to his knees, gasping and finding it hard to breath. Yet before he could move, a kunai struck out sliced through his wind pipe and his blood began to seep from the wound.
Looking up at the blonde before him, he tried to figure out why his guards hadn't reacted only to find that they were unconscious as red chains receded back into Naruto's being. But as he looked at the blonde, a smirk crossed his dying lips and he tried to laugh only for more blood to pour from his slit throat.
But the look in Orochimaru's eyes was enough to know what he wanted to say. Even with his death... Another took his place and was standing in front of him.
Watching his body slip and fall to the ground and a blood pool began to form, Naruto only looked at the corpse before reaching out and grabbing the four unconscious guards. He then flickered back to the arena where his Youkai had reformed along side of Raven.
Slipping off his mask, he gazed at the Hokage. "As for being jailed, I don't think so. If anything, we just saved this village for a worse hardship. So if anything... You should be getting on your knees and praising us for saving your worthless hides from the invasion the snake had planned for today."
As many looked shocked and horrified as the Youkai behind Naruto began to take heads of both Sand and Sound ninja from scrolls, Sarutobi narrowed his eyes as he looked straight at Naruto. "And how do we know that they were planning an invasion?"
"Easy... Interrogate our prisoners her. Ibiki or a Yamanaka would do." Naruto stated as he pointed to the unconscious guards of Orochimaru before Naruto motioned over towards the tallest of his Youkai. "Or you could ask my very well informed spy here that has been working with Orochimaru. He knew practically everything the snake was planning and no matter how you look at my and my Youkai's actions today we have done nothing illegal."
This was planned too well for the Third's liking. Something utterly wrong was going on here and while he knew Naruto hadn't been entirely himself these last few years he had been too blind to see what really had been going on. However, he was right... Nothing illegal happened if he was telling the truth.
"Inoishi!" The Third called out before the said ninja approached the Hokage, looking at the scene very wearily, Sarutobi's gaze never left Naruto as he continued. "Go through the prisoners' minds and see if he was telling the truth."
Glancing at the old Hokage, the Yamanaka nodded and activated his family's signature technique and scanned through their recent memories. Sighing as he left the last mind, Inoishi only could nod once more. "He is telling the truth... There was a force of both Sand and Sound ninjas that was scheduled to attacks us today. Apparently the attack has been in the works for the last few months as Orochimaru and the Kazekage made a deal."
"However... That wasn't enough and Orochimaru killed the Kazekage and has posed as him for the last month to make sure they didn't back out of their end of the deal. ...This is all I know as they weren't apart of the invasion force and instead... Their job was to keep anyone from interfering while Orochimaru killed you my lord." Inoishi added, grimacing as he too could sense that this was expertly planned and executed without any flaws.
Not really showing anything as this was being said, Naruto then motioned for tallest Youkai before he left for a brief moment before returning with a single Sand shinobi bound and gagged. "And if you would, check his mind as well. That will give you finer details on our actions against their invasion force."
Getting the nod from the Third, Inoishi sighed as he activate his technique again. This time, however, he pulled back quickly as he began panting heavily and fell to one knee. "Son of a... You could have told me he had gone through that!"
"Sorry... I thought it was appropriate to trap him within a powerful genjutsu to make sure he was harmless. It must have slipped my mind." Naruto responded thought not really showing he felt any sympathy for the man as he apologized.
Narrowing his at him for a moment, Inoishi slowly picked himself up before turning to the Hokage. "If you would my lord... I rather show you what happened. This is rather sensitive material."
Understanding, he allowed Inoishi to transfer what he had gathered. Cringing at some of what he witnessed, the elderly Hokage closed his eyes and sighed deeply as he spoke again. "It seems you are telling the truth... But that still does not explain why you have formed a task force without any authorization!"
"Ah that... Now that I could be in some trouble with." Naruto chimed as he rubbed his chin in a playful manner before becoming rather stoic as the Hokage's gaze told him to cut it out. "To be completely and brutally honest... I would like to say I formed the Youkai to punish Konoha by watching the youth of this village pledge their allegiance to me. ...But that isn't the truth. I formed it for self defense."
"On the day Itachi murder his clan, he informed me of a hostile group that would be coming after me to obtain the fox within. He told me everything he knew from their current members and the ones they were planning on recruiting to what their goal was and how they planned on achieving it. It was rather enlightening information and made me wonder... Why this village had done nothing to try and make sure I was ready to defend myself from them or at the very least train me to defend it?"
"Then I realized why... It was because you were a coward." Naruto viciously stated, glaring straight at the third as he said that. "You thought believed you were sparing me from the harshness of this world by letting me grow up like a regular kid... But you forgot I already wasn't regular! I am the vessel for Kyuubi and because of that I was hated with unfathomable hatred!"
"Because you have no spine, you couldn't see that training me to defend myself was killing me! You only stopped a few beatings but the villagers got smart and made sure to keep them from the public's and even the ninja's eyes! You never realized that if maybe I was able to defend myself at that age maybe I could have turned out like you so wanted me to! But now... I am what you have let me become."
"I am the Lord of the Youkai, the most powerful shinobi within this village!" Naruto announced and made sure every single person within the stadium heard him. "And with the techniques of my father, the blood of my mother and the advice and power of Kyuubi, I am the single most powerful shinobi this village has ever seen."
"So today you will either accept the Youkai as an official unit within Konoha or we will take our power to another village who will gladly accept it." Naruto gave the Hokage his ultimatum with a calm and calculated gaze into the elderly man's eyes as he placed his mask on his face.
For once in his life, the Third was at an utter lose at what to do. From what little he had seen, both of Naruto's display and of the images of the annihilation of the Sand and Sound forces, he had to make a choice that would drastically effect Konoha.
If he accepted Naruto's request then the backlash would be harsh and many would demand for him to step down from office for letting the 'demon' lead such a powerful unit. Not only that he would have to explain to the families of these Youkai members that he had failed them and allowed their children to succumb to the powerful charisma that Naruto possessed.
Yet if he declined the request, he would have to try and stop the eight of them from leaving this village and that would be a very difficult task. Naruto alone could very well escape on his own and it would be considered a lose as he knew the flash and if another village was to get a hold of that it would be a disaster. Yet he could stand his ground and fight them and allow everyone to escape before escaping himself and then they were in a even bigger hole.
"You will answer now, Hokage. If you stall any longer I will take my ninja and leave this village to either the Cloud or the Rock." Naruto hastened his ultimatum as he was growing tired of waiting for an answer as the old man tried to think this through and time was something he wasn't going to give him.
Gritting his teeth as this was the worst possible scenario of anything he could think of and he hadn't had to deal with such a extraneous circumstance in years. He was lucky that Kakashi stepped forward and stalled for a little more time. "You don't honestly expect to be able to escape the village will all of you after us. Even with the flash, we can still track you down."
"I don't expect to escape. I will level this village if I do not get an answer immediately." Naruto harshly responded at Kakashi before he lifted his right arm up and began to form a single orb of blue chakra.
As Kakashi recognized the Rasengan, he was ready to act when it suddenly began to morph into something more and became far larger then before. Of all the times he seen his master use the Rasengan it never had took such a unique shape.
Tendrils of what seemed to be wind began to sprout from the sides giving the orb a shuriken like shape while electricity began to spark around it. "This is my creation of my own... The Rasenshuriken and it packs enough power as of right now to rip this entire stadium to shreds along with a couple blocks outside it! If one of you moves, I will unleash it and take my Youkai away from this rotten core!"
"Fine, I will accept the Youkai as an official and elite group within the walls of Konoha." Sarutobi gritted his teeth as he knew this was technique Minato had been working on before the end of his life and knew that Naruto was not lying about how much damage it could inflict especially as he felt the fox's charka being drawn towards it.
"Lord Hokage!" Many ninja shouted in surprise that he was giving into such a demand but were silenced as the Hokage had made his decision.
"He is more then capable of doing what he just said... Stand down." The Third snapped as he kept his focus on Naruto, who began to draw his chakra in to weaken the technique before tossing it the free wall of the stadium.
In a powerful explosion, wind whipped around everyone and lighting scattered from the impact and watched as the wall was literally obliterated piece by piece until there was nothing left. An enormous crater surrounded the impact zone, spreading thirty meters wide and five deep. And it was only inches from causing any true damage to the village outside.
As the environment calmed, Naruto gazed at the destruction. "That was how powerful that attack is at one quarter of the strength I had it at. With only a little more power I could have destroy those shops just outside if I wanted to."
"What the fuck was that for?! I've accepted your unit as part of this village! There was no reason to do something like that!" Sarutobi violently yelled out at Naruto and prepared for a fight as he expected Naruto not to hold up his part of the negotiation.
However, Naruto shrugged his shoulders as he gazed at the elderly man. "I had drained as much chakra as I possibly could so that I could safely explode it. If I continued to drain it it would have erupted in my hands and would have killed everyone within a fifteen meter radius of me. ...But to add another true explanation, it was a display of my power."
"Stop testing me Naruto! Until it is written I can take back whatever I said and have all of you thrown in jail or executed!" The Third roared as he slipped off this Hokage outfit to reveal the armor he wore underneath outside of the head piece which he quickly put on in case this become violent.
"Then I suggest you prepare the papers as my threat still stands. I haven't even begun to display what I am truly capable of and if you don't want to fail those that you so dearly wish to protect you best get to work." Naruto stated as he drew forth a tri-bladed kunai and pointed it straight towards the Hokage.
Narrowing his eyes as he knew he was being toyed with, Sarutobi mentally cursed. He wasn't sure when and how Naruto had become this powerful but even if Jiraiya was there, which he was getting pissed as he was suppose to be within the village right now, nothing could be done against such a force. They had to give into his demands if they wished to keep Hiraishin and such power from being used against them.
"But..." Now Naruto was testing him as he drew forth a single a scroll. "If you sign this draft of what I want of the Youkai, this can all be over and everything can go back to the way it was and you can get on with this little tournament of yours."
Biting his tongue to keep from growling as he was handed the scroll, Sarutobi nearly froze from what he began to read what was inside. Naruto was demanding for immunity from almost everything so he conduct his experiments, train his shinobi in very questionable manners and have the ability to recruit whoever he wanted no matter the age. The only bright side was that he would run his program through him and allow the village to profit from their actions.
However, that was nothing compared to the names he of the members that were already part of the Youkai... And some were extremely disturbing and the list of trainees really bothered him as his own grandson was on the list.
Uzumaki Naruto, Hyuuga Hinata, Uchiha Sasuke, Haruno Sakura, Nara Shikmaru, Kabuto, Tenten, Kurama Yakumo and... Shizune, Jiraiya and Senju Tsunade. ...Each of them was a front line member of the Youkai.
"No... This can't be." Sarutobi muttered as he read the last of the names in horror. "You can't be serious... Both are..."
"They have pledge their loyalty to the Youkai as long as we stand in Konoha otherwise they will side with the village, not you. They have already promised they will not impede us and allow us to take our trainees if we are to desert this village." Naruto responded as he had expected this reaction from the Hokage.
"And just for your information... They were the ones that drafted that scroll you hold now. While they don't like what my experiments involve, they truly believe after what this village put me through I should have the right to do whatever I please! Now either sign that or let us go in peace as you know you can't stop us." Naruto was getting tired and want this to end.
Looking at the form defeated, the Hokage summoned a pen from his wardrobe and slowly signed the deal before stamping it with his seal of approval. "There... It is official. The Youkai are officially a high caliber unit within the forces of Konoha and you are granted amnesty to perform you experiments and training as you please. ...I just want to know one thing... The Fourth is still alive, isn't he?"
"Yes... Both he and my mother live within the seal along with the fox." Naruto admitted as he gazed over at the elderly Hokage the scroll was given back to him.
But as he took it, he handed another to the old man who now looked confused before he opened it and read the details within. "This is... I see. You still remembered that night... Very well then, you are to take your unit and retrieve her as soon as possible. However since you are the client, I require payment to allow for a mission of this level."
"Falcon, pay the man the fee. Eagle, you are in charge of training the young ones while I am out. If you have any trouble, you know how to summon me." Naruto stated as the Youkai with bun hair nodded and pulled out a pouch filled with the need cash for the mission and handed it to the Hokage.
"I won't need to so take care of yourself my love." Hinata spoke as she slipped off her mask before gently kissed the side of his mask, upset that he wouldn't take it off but knew of the reason why. "If anyone tries anything the sannin are there to protect the your children."
"Thank you... Hinata." Naruto had to force himself to say her real name as now that he wasn't in his fake persona, it was truly difficult for him to display affection along with many other emotions.
Turning to the Hokage, who was checking the pouch before nodding as it was more then enough, the Third tossed it to a nearby Anbu and turned to Naruto before giving a simple nod as he accepted the mission. "Assemble a four man cell of who you wish and head out to the Wave... You are to retrieve Uzumaki Karin immediately."
"Raven, Flame, Weasel. If you have anything you will need for this mission, get it now. We leave in five minutes." Naruto ordered before he simply flickered away in a flash of light as the rest dispersed in flickers of leaves, flames or the wind.
Picking up his robes, Sarutobi closed his eyes as tears began to rolled down his cheeks. This was too much for him to take any more... He had utterly failed as the leader of this village and created a monster... A monster worse then even Orochimaru but this time he could do nothing more then watch and he... He just couldn't do that. He could have saved this one but he failed to when he truly needed to succeed.
Turning to the closest ninja, who happened to be Kakashi, he placed the robes in his hands before turning away. "Go takes those to Danzo... Tell him of he wants the job, take it. ...I'm not fit to lead this village."
Before anyone could argue, the elderly Hokage disappeared with a flicker of wind and appeared within his office. Drawing forth a kunai, the elderly Hokage sighed as this truly was his fault and he could not bear it any longer.
This was the end of his reign as the Third Hokage.

It was the day of the exams and the entire village seemed to be pilling into the stadium to watch the fights of the day. Many that were there, whether they were ninja or civilian, came to watch the second match between Uchiha Sasuke and Gaara of the Sand and to cheer on their beloved Sharingan wielder.
There were a few though that came to root on the other Konoha contestants for the day. Much of the Nara clan along with their clan partners the Akimichi and Yamanaka had come to watch the small clan's genius battle the wind mistress of the sand, Temari. It was the same for the Aburame clan as their prodigy would be facing Kankuro of the sand.
Then there happened to be a few higher ups, and even a few servants, of the Hyuuga clan there to support the branch house prodigy Neji who had defeated the heiress of the clan in the prelims. One of these was the clan head, Hiashi, who had came to personally see his nephew and hoping that he could fix a mistake he had let fester for too long.
Yet there was almost no one to cheer on his opponent, which was something that bothered him as well. He knew his eldest daughter, Hinata, would do so but he had no clue where she had disappeared to so instead he brought Hanabi in order to show her what it takes to be a ninja. Still he could count the people that were there to root for him on one hand yet there was far too much rooting against him.
Another thing that was bothering him was the fact that the Uzumaki had not shown up. He expected him to be a little tardy thanks to the sensei he was being taught by and probably picked up some bad habits from him but still it was almost time and he wasn't there. The boy couldn't have become afraid... Could he? He was very sure when the boy made a promise he kept it no matter the cost so what was keeping him?
This thought was shared by the few that were there and knew Naruto. The first to question this was Yamanaka Ino who went out of her way to find some people she knew and the first was Kiba and Chouji. "Hey! Do either of you know why Naruto isn't here? It isn't like him to miss something like this."
"I have to agree." Kiba growled as he looked down at the arena as the Hokage began his speak to those that had arrived. "For all the things Naruto may be, he would not miss this for the world. Either something is slowing him down or someone is making sure he isn't going to come."
As Ino looked shocked at that, Chouji simply nodded in agreement as he knew the orange clad ninja well. "No doubt... I'm betting if he is being held up or someone is trying to stop him from getting here it is those people that give him those disgusted looks for almost no reason."
"Well if you're going by that it would narrow the suspects down to half the village." Kiba responded as he too had noticed the cold, hate filled looks always focused onto the sunshine known as Uzumaki Naruto. "Still, I don't think regular villagers would really be able stop him."
"What are you to talking about? Naruto isn't hated by half the village!" Ino hissed at them, though keeping it rather quite as she didn't want others to hear what their conversation was about.
"You aren't very observant, are you Ino?" Kiba growled back at her as he cringed as the new proctor began to call for the contestants but Naruto was no where in sight. "If you paid half as much attention as either of us you would notice the contempt he gets on a regular basis. I still think it is amazing he acts like he does despite the pressure placed upon him. ...And dammit! Where is he?! He'll get disqualified if he doesn't show up soon!"
"That I wouldn't worry about, Inuzuka." Another voice came from behind them and forced them to look back and see Tenten slowly walking over towards them. "Lord Naruto is simply bidding his time and waiting for the last possible second to arrive. He absolutely enjoys making a scene and causing havoc and chaos when it is unnecessary."
"Lord Naruto?" Ino immediately question wondering what in the hell was going on and why Tenten of all people was telling them this. "First off, what the hell is with that? Secondly, how do you know this and finally why are you dressed like your prepared to go to war?! You look like an Anbu with that gear on!"
Just gazing at her for a split second, Tenten only shrugged as she moved pasted them and leaned against the railing, looking down upon the arena. "All those questions will be answered very soon once the King arrives. I suggest you wait until then as I am not at liberty to answer your questions."
"This is the last call!" Genma yelled out, getting very annoyed that Naruto had not responded and came down yet. "Uzumaki Naruto! If you are not in this arena in one minute you will be disqualified and Neji will be declared the winner of this match!"
While Neji didn't really care that much as it would allow him to conserve some energy going into his fight against either Gaara or Sasuke, he rather hoped to fight the dead last of the last graduation class. He was interesting and after his proclamation during the prelims he actually wanted to fight him and prove he had no standing in this world of theirs.
Genma was getting plenty pissed. While he didn't care one way or the other about Naruto as a person or what he contained, he was getting severely angered that the boy seemingly refused to show up. This was a fight he was expecting and even if he thought it would be one sided he at least wanted the damn demon vessel to try and back up his words.
Checking the time limit he gave, he groaned as time was almost up and he was ready to call the match. He could see the Hokage was worried and probably ask for the match to be pushed back as he felt something was wrong with Naruto so he would confer with him first before doing so.
But just at the moment the wind began to pick up within the arena before lighting started to strike the ground repeatedly before him and the Hyuuga prodigy. Leaves began to pick up but due to the charring electric surge around ignited but still swirled around violently until a figure appeared within a small vortex.
Many began watching the scene in shock as the lone figure became visible. Almost nothing was recognizable about this person outside of the sunshine blonde hair. He wore a black cloak around his body, leaving it slightly open to reveal his pitch black armor chest plate like the Anbu wore. On his face was a fiery mask with small markings to let people know it was that of a fox.
But what let Genma know this was the person he was waiting on was the crystal blue eyes starring at Neji through the eye sockets, looking very cold and barely any emotion being seen within.
"It is time... My Lord has arrived." Tenten announced before she reached down into her pouch strapped to her leg before sliding a mask out of it and placing it onto her face. "Our time has come."
With those last words, Tenten literally disappeared from sight and left Kiba, Chouji and Ino in shock as they weren't sure what was going on. All they knew was that somehow, someway the person below was Uzumaki Naruto... But how? This figure looked nothing like him and was even a few inches taller then what they last remembered him to be.
"Proctor... I am sorry for being late. I had a small matter that I had to attend to first." Naruto spoke, his voice sounding far older then anyone remembered it. "If I am still able, I would like to participate in this fight."
Still looking at the masked figure, finding it hard to believe this was the blonde sunshine, Genma wasn't sure what to do now. He could hear the scratches and knew a voice alterator was being used but how would Naruto get one of those as they were quite expensive and gennin weren't allowed to purchase such equipment.
"I'm sorry, but I need proof that it truly is you. Remove that mask." Genma stated, trying to solve what was going on but before he could go any further he was stopped by the other contestant.
"There is no need... I've already checked him myself. That is my opponent." Neji interrupted as he gazed over at the armored figure before him and grinned. "But don't think that equipment will help you at all, Uzumaki. My clan specializes in piercing armor and attack an opponent from within."
"I already know... This armor isn't meant to stop your attacks otherwise I would have brought my chakra disruption armor specifically designed to stop attacks like yours." Naruto stated, making Neji take a step back as he coldly gazed towards him. "Besides... On this day you will not touch me. That I guarantee as I am not the same person you saw in the prelims. Please begin our match, proctor. The audience is becoming restless."
Grimacing as he wasn't sure what in the world was going on, Genma looked over at the Hokage. That didn't make him feel any better as the Third didn't look like he knew what was going on but still gave him a nod in confirmation to start the match. Sighing as there was nothing else to do, Genma gazed at both. "Alright, let the first match of this years Chunin Exam Finals commence! Uzumaki Naruto and Hyuuga Neji, fight!"
Silently whispering his doujutsu name as he activated it, Neji slid into a basic jyuken stance as he kept from growling. This loser had no idea what he was talking about. There was no such armor that could deter a Hyuuga from attacking in close range. But then... Why was he slowly approaching him with no fear?!
Taking a step at a time towards Neji, taking his time as he walked over to the branch house prodigy, Naruto grinned under his mask as he could see the Hyuuga was becoming flustered rather quickly as he neared him. He was within a few feet of him now, still moving forward in a nonchalant manner and acting as if he didn't care about the dominance the Hyuuga preached about their taijutsu style.
Then Neji struck. This blonde was pissing him off and he didn't care if he had a sudden growth spurt and had more defined muscles and just looked stronger then he was before. Strength mattered not to a Hyuuga as those with strength fell quickly to them. But as he struck out, his opponent only side stepped the blow and continued his pace.
Lashing out at this, Neji growled as Naruto simply side stepped once more before he tried to strike him in the chest as he lunged forward. But Naruto simply ducked as his grin suddenly began to disappear and his face began to harden.
Then with a burst of speed he had not possessed in the exams, Naruto was at Neji's left side before he grabbed the back of his hair with his left hand and yank him down. Before Neji could react as he was being brought to the ground, Naruto chopped him in the throat before tossing him to the side with little effort.
Skidding across the ground, finding it very difficult to breath, Neji gasped out as he couldn't believe what had just transpired. The blonde had simply dominated him with little effort and tossed him aside as if he was nothing more then a rag doll. And to make it worse he was tossed over fifteen meters and nearly skidded into one of the few trees in the arena.
Naruto, however, was not finished as his hands quickly blurred through hand seals. The air around him became deathly still before a loud, ominous roar filled the stadium as a vortex of wind began to form before him and took the shape of an angered dragon. Then without another roar, the dragon dashed towards the down Hyuuga, stunned to see a dragon made of pure wind.
'What the... That is suppose to be impossible! No one has ever managed to tame the wind so much to focus it and create a dragon before!' Neji screamed in his mind, being a small scholar of ninjutsu among other things.
But as the dragon reached him, a whirl of blue chakra surrounded Neji and the dragon suddenly began to spilt around it, tearing the ground around it apart and causing a small debris of dirt to cover the spot the Hyuuga was standing.
Naruto, however, immediately responded as he saw what had happened. "By releasing chakra from your each of your points in a constant but equal manner you are able to repel many ninjutsu and almost all taijutsu attacks once you began to swirl it in a spiral pattern around yourself. ...It is hard to believe that a branch house member like yourself was taught the Kaiten."
"Or... Maybe you recreated it on your own." Naruto grinned as all Hyuuga looked on in shock at Neji performing their clan's ultimate attack. "Impressive for one such as yourself... But you have a lot of work left to perfect it and even more to localize it to a single point like your hands."
Hiashi immediately caught something wrong with what Naruto had said. No Hyuuga had ever perfected the Kaiten to such an extent that they could use it on one part of their body but the way he said it... Someone had. Who in the world could that be as he could name the few that actually knew the Kaiten and that was now including Neji.
Growling as he listened to what Naruto said, Neji refrained from lunging out and striking at Naruto as he remembered how he ended up so far from the blonde in the first place. "And what do you know?! You don't know how hard it is for me every day for being a branch house..."
"I know exactly how it feels and more. You need to be more observant of your surroundings and you would understand." Naruto stated before he held a hand up and gestured towards the crowd. "Tell me Hyuuga, how many people do you see with those eyes of yours that are directing disgusted, hate-filled and repulsed looks aimed towards me? I'll will stop my assault and give you the time to count them all."
Narrowing his eyes for a moment as he thought this to be some sort of trick, but Neji could sense no dishonesty from him and could see he was in a relaxed state. So he would humor him as he began to count... But as he did he began to realize something...
"There are over... A thousand at the least. There are so many I cannot count them all." Neji stated in slight fear as he looked back over at Naruto, how know closed his eyes as he listened to the crowd beginning to boo as there was no action and many began taunting them, mostly Naruto in particular.
Hearing this, Neji frowned as there was something wrong with this and he couldn't understand before he noticed Naruto slip his mask off, showing a very deep scar trailing down his face and onto his throat, directly down his left eye and surprising those who had never seen it before and thought it was fresh.
But what Neji noticed was the intense scaring around his eye that made it seem like there had been a transplant. But... Why couldn't he see this before? What was his mask coated with to keep his vision from seeing this before? And why was none of this visible during the prelims?
"Do you wished to know why they give me such harsh looks?" Naruto asked as he kept his eyes closed, his entire being eerily calm as he focused on Neji and Neji alone.
All those that knew what Naruto possessed began to look shell shocked at the thought of him telling every here what he was but waited for him to explain as they could sense something wasn't right. And for those that didn't know... They waited patiently to hear what he had to say.
Catching all of this with his eyes, Neji simply nodded as he too wanted to know as this was becoming rather creepy and while he wanted to tell him his story... Something told him this one was going to be far more interesting.
"Six years ago... I was viciously attacked by both villagers and ninja from this village." Naruto started, his eyes still closed as he began his story. "It was a cold, damp night and they had done well to keep me from screaming and took me to a very remote area within the village so no one else would notice."
"They all relished in punishing and torturing me, paying special attention to what caused the most pain and inflicting it upon me. But this time... Someone tried to save me... But she was too young and too naive to see that she was powerless. ...They tried to shoo her away but she still tried to help and they got tired of her and hurt her before the started on me once again, one driving a knife through my eye." He softly stated, trailing the scar on his right eye for a moment.
"It was at this moment... I began to realize that no matter what I did I would always be treated horribly and whoever tried to stand at my side would be hurt as well. I couldn't let that happen any more. ...So I waited until they were finished and left me to die. Yet as always the forgot no matter what they did nothing could kill me. I was and still am virtually immortal."
"But I didn't care what they did to me... I worried about what they did to the girl that tried to help me. ...I carried her limp figure to the apartment I had just been given... But no matter what I did nothing would help her... She was dying in my arms and I was desperate. That was when I heard a voice promising me what I wanted." Naruto said, his voice bearing no more emotions as his eyes began to flicker open.
"That voice belonged to the demon fox that nearly destroyed this village fourteen years ago... Kyuubi no Kitsune!" Naruto announced loudly as red chakra began to flare around him in a violent manner. "Because of their supposed self-righteous actions I was forced to accept help from the very being they truly loathed! I took her help without second thought as with its help I could save the girl and no longer feel the pain that was afflicted onto me every day of my life!"
"And with it... I called for her energy and healed all the damaged done to the girl and brought her back from the brink of death!" Naruto roared before the chakra around him began to recede back to his stomach and his demeanor became emotionless once more. "But she was unable to heal all the damage that was done to me... My eye could not be regenerated and I would never be able to have children thanks to what they did to me."
As it became deathly silent at what had just been said and many were looking around, trying to confirm what happened when Naruto softly spoke once more. "But one would ask to their self... Why did no one come to help me or where was everyone at? ...The answer was simple. There was something else that happened that night that drew all the attention. Uchiha Itachi had massacred his clan in the very same night."
"And in that very same night... He offered me a gift as he was the only one that sensed what had happened to me and felt Kyuubi's presence within the village. I had regained sight in my right eye and he went on his way, leaving me to take care of the girl within my possession. ...No one came to check up on me during the next three days and by then she had recovered and went home. ...No one knew what happened to either of us and we kept it that way."
"But we never forgot... We couldn't forget the pain inflicted upon us so we plotted and plotted until we figured out exactly what we could do to make this village suffer for what it has done to us." Naruto stated as his focused his attention onto Neji. "Youkai, assemble!"
Seven other figures suddenly appeared behind Naruto, all dressed in similar attire and equipment outside of their mask as each was unique. Each kept their position for a moment before the lead of the group stepped forward and took her place by Naruto's side before speaking. "It was difficult... But now we are strong enough to stand before this village and show them the grief they have caused us."
"HINATA!" Neji yelled out as he immediately recognized the voice and with his Byukugan pierced through her masked to see who the girl was. "What are you doing over there?!"
"Isn't it obvious... I am the girl he was speaking of!" Hinata growled viciously before she ripped off her mask, revealing her lavender eyes were now more and instead in their place were pink hues and now visible pupil. "I nearly died trying to save my love's life and with all the shit I had to deal with when I was young... I couldn't take it any longer! I wanted to show this fucking hell hole my wrath so I did everything I could to help my love!"
Feeling his hand on her shoulder, Hinata winced as her entire body shivered for a moment, she placed her mask back on before taking a deep breath as she gazed at Naruto. "I'm sorry my love... I got carried away. I will do my best to refrain from breaking again."
Simply nodding as she was now at an acceptable level, Naruto turned back to Neji before to the Youkai behind him. "See to it no one interferes and if you have to, create the barrier. It is time for us to finish this bout. That includes you as well Eagle."
"Yes my love." Hinata responded before they all disappeared before appearing on separate intervals on the stadium's walls, leaving Naruto in the ring alone with Neji.
"I'm sorry Neji... But now I must go all out. If you pass on before I'm done, I will allow you to rest in peace. You are not one I want to punish." Naruto stated before his very being began shimmer.
In the very next moment, Naruto was directly behind Neji yet he did nothing and gave Neji enough time to react to his presence. Neji attempted to spin around but seeing the attack coming Naruto landed a back hand to his face and knocked him to the ground before following with a kick into his gut, lifting him off the ground.
Skidding against the ground once more, he flipped to regain his balance only to find Naruto was already on him and grabbed the back of his collar before driving his other fist into his stomach multiple times before he turned and threw him back into the center of the arena.
Grunting as he picked himself off the ground, he now saw there was now multiple opponents and he instantly knew Naruto had used Shadow Clone. Seeing they had surrounded him rather quickly, he growled as he began preparing for the Kaiten once more. But this time he had no time to react as they suddenly went up in smoke before something wrapped around his ankles.
In the very next moment, he was flung into the air as red chains that seemed to be made of chakra ripped the ground, attached to his ankles and began to spin him around. But as he was being spun, he followed the length of the chakra chains to find that they were connected to Naruto's arms. But before he could figure out how to sever them he was smashed into the ground and slowly dragged towards his opponent.
As Neji reached him, Naruto commanded his chains to hold him in the air till they were at eye level. "How do you like it? This is my mother's blood limit. It may seem rather boring but it is very useful and is unbelievably difficult to break out of as they were used along with Hashirama's wood to restrain bijuu. This ability is why we Uzumaki are always chosen to be the vessels of Kyuubi."
"It can't be... How has Naruto activated that without me knowing?" Sarutobi spoke in amazement and a little fear as he watch the one-sided fight unfold before him before turning to one of the Anbu close to him. "Tenzo, I want to find out how Naruto has learn about his family and find out anything else you can. Something wrong is going on and I want to find out. Capture of one those Youkai if you must."
"Yes Lord Hokage." Tenzo bowed and disappeared from the Hokage's side and planned on doing as he asked.
"Is there a problem, Lord Hokage?" The Kazekage asked, looking over at the Third in wonder as he was quite enjoying this display and while the fact that Uzumaki held such power and seemed to control a small unit, it wasn't much to worry about. After all they all seemed to be gennin, maybe chunin at the most.
Sarutobi simply shook his head and sighed as he looked down at what was transpiring. "No, no... This is just rather unexpected and I would like to know what is going on."
But at this moment, Naruto turned his gaze upon the Hokage's both and with a quick glance and Neji he hurled the young man towards them, having him crash into the box. In the very next second, a flash of golden light caught every single person's attention as Naruto stood on top of Neji and gaze straight towards the Hokage. "Tell your man to fall back... He's make a huge mistake."
Leaning back into his seat, extraordinarily frightened that he had just witnessed the Flying Thunder God being used against him, the Third gazed at the blonde before him. "But how... This shouldn't be..."
"Let us just say the Wind whispering over the Waves told me the secrets of space and time." Naruto iterated as he looked over at the Hokage before stomping on Neji's back. "Now please call your man back... If not he will meet a very gristly fate. ...Raven can be very, very brutal."
In the very next second there was a loud scream before the said Anbu the Third had order was flung into the ring, one of the Youkai standing before him with navy blue mask that was elaborately designed to look like the head of a raven.
Seeing what happened, Naruto simply shrugged his shoulders before he disappeared in a swirl before appearing next to Raven and looked down at the man. "Let him live... There is no point in killing him. That wouldn't help our goal."
"But he attacked me." Bloody Raven responded, his red eyes shining behind his mask as he looked over at the head of the Youkai. "I have the right to defend myself and finish off my attacker."
"You will obey me otherwise I'll throw you into Hell again." Naruto responded with a slight hint of anger in his voice as he watched the Raven take a step back before nodding as he didn't want to be put in that place again. "Good... Return to your post and prepare for your fight. You are next, after all."
Everything came to a stop as the Hokage was tired with what was transpiring and appeared in the ring himself followed with the rest of the Anbu guarding him along with several top jounin, deciding it was time to act now. "This has gone far enough Naruto... If you continue I will have to throw you in jail..."
"So you've come to greet me! How wonderful! Now the snake is alone with my marker!" Naruto enthusiastically remarked, sounding much like he normally. However what he said...
In yet another flash of light, Naruto suddenly appeared next to the Kazekage, gripped his throat and slammed him against the wall. Reaching out, he ripped off the skin covering his face before looking straight into Orochimaru's golden eyes. "Now this is revenge for the forest as I couldn't go all out then!"
"Tsukiyomi."
The deathly screams of Orochimaru filled the stadium for only a few moments before Naruto let him go and the snake slunk to his knees, gasping and finding it hard to breath. Yet before he could move, a kunai struck out sliced through his wind pipe and his blood began to seep from the wound.
Looking up at the blonde before him, he tried to figure out why his guards hadn't reacted only to find that they were unconscious as red chains receded back into Naruto's being. But as he looked at the blonde, a smirk crossed his dying lips and he tried to laugh only for more blood to pour from his slit throat.
But the look in Orochimaru's eyes was enough to know what he wanted to say. Even with his death... Another took his place and was standing in front of him.
Watching his body slip and fall to the ground and a blood pool began to form, Naruto only looked at the corpse before reaching out and grabbing the four unconscious guards. He then flickered back to the arena where his Youkai had reformed along side of Raven.
Slipping off his mask, he gazed at the Hokage. "As for being jailed, I don't think so. If anything, we just saved this village for a worse hardship. So if anything... You should be getting on your knees and praising us for saving your worthless hides from the invasion the snake had planned for today."
As many looked shocked and horrified as the Youkai behind Naruto began to take heads of both Sand and Sound ninja from scrolls, Sarutobi narrowed his eyes as he looked straight at Naruto. "And how do we know that they were planning an invasion?"
"Easy... Interrogate our prisoners her. Ibiki or a Yamanaka would do." Naruto stated as he pointed to the unconscious guards of Orochimaru before Naruto motioned over towards the tallest of his Youkai. "Or you could ask my very well informed spy here that has been working with Orochimaru. He knew practically everything the snake was planning and no matter how you look at my and my Youkai's actions today we have done nothing illegal."
This was planned too well for the Third's liking. Something utterly wrong was going on here and while he knew Naruto hadn't been entirely himself these last few years he had been too blind to see what really had been going on. However, he was right... Nothing illegal happened if he was telling the truth.
"Inoishi!" The Third called out before the said ninja approached the Hokage, looking at the scene very wearily, Sarutobi's gaze never left Naruto as he continued. "Go through the prisoners' minds and see if he was telling the truth."
Glancing at the old Hokage, the Yamanaka nodded and activated his family's signature technique and scanned through their recent memories. Sighing as he left the last mind, Inoishi only could nod once more. "He is telling the truth... There was a force of both Sand and Sound ninjas that was scheduled to attacks us today. Apparently the attack has been in the works for the last few months as Orochimaru and the Kazekage made a deal."
"However... That wasn't enough and Orochimaru killed the Kazekage and has posed as him for the last month to make sure they didn't back out of their end of the deal. ...This is all I know as they weren't apart of the invasion force and instead... Their job was to keep anyone from interfering while Orochimaru killed you my lord." Inoishi added, grimacing as he too could sense that this was expertly planned and executed without any flaws.
Not really showing anything as this was being said, Naruto then motioned for tallest Youkai before he left for a brief moment before returning with a single Sand shinobi bound and gagged. "And if you would, check his mind as well. That will give you finer details on our actions against their invasion force."
Getting the nod from the Third, Inoishi sighed as he activate his technique again. This time, however, he pulled back quickly as he began panting heavily and fell to one knee. "Son of a... You could have told me he had gone through that!"
"Sorry... I thought it was appropriate to trap him within a powerful genjutsu to make sure he was harmless. It must have slipped my mind." Naruto responded thought not really showing he felt any sympathy for the man as he apologized.
Narrowing his at him for a moment, Inoishi slowly picked himself up before turning to the Hokage. "If you would my lord... I rather show you what happened. This is rather sensitive material."
Understanding, he allowed Inoishi to transfer what he had gathered. Cringing at some of what he witnessed, the elderly Hokage closed his eyes and sighed deeply as he spoke again. "It seems you are telling the truth... But that still does not explain why you have formed a task force without any authorization!"
"Ah that... Now that I could be in some trouble with." Naruto chimed as he rubbed his chin in a playful manner before becoming rather stoic as the Hokage's gaze told him to cut it out. "To be completely and brutally honest... I would like to say I formed the Youkai to punish Konoha by watching the youth of this village pledge their allegiance to me. ...But that isn't the truth. I formed it for self defense."
"On the day Itachi murder his clan, he informed me of a hostile group that would be coming after me to obtain the fox within. He told me everything he knew from their current members and the ones they were planning on recruiting to what their goal was and how they planned on achieving it. It was rather enlightening information and made me wonder... Why this village had done nothing to try and make sure I was ready to defend myself from them or at the very least train me to defend it?"
"Then I realized why... It was because you were a coward." Naruto viciously stated, glaring straight at the third as he said that. "You thought believed you were sparing me from the harshness of this world by letting me grow up like a regular kid... But you forgot I already wasn't regular! I am the vessel for Kyuubi and because of that I was hated with unfathomable hatred!"
"Because you have no spine, you couldn't see that training me to defend myself was killing me! You only stopped a few beatings but the villagers got smart and made sure to keep them from the public's and even the ninja's eyes! You never realized that if maybe I was able to defend myself at that age maybe I could have turned out like you so wanted me to! But now... I am what you have let me become."
"I am the Lord of the Youkai, the most powerful shinobi within this village!" Naruto announced and made sure every single person within the stadium heard him. "And with the techniques of my father, the blood of my mother and the advice and power of Kyuubi, I am the single most powerful shinobi this village has ever seen."
"So today you will either accept the Youkai as an official unit within Konoha or we will take our power to another village who will gladly accept it." Naruto gave the Hokage his ultimatum with a calm and calculated gaze into the elderly man's eyes as he placed his mask on his face.
For once in his life, the Third was at an utter lose at what to do. From what little he had seen, both of Naruto's display and of the images of the annihilation of the Sand and Sound forces, he had to make a choice that would drastically effect Konoha.
If he accepted Naruto's request then the backlash would be harsh and many would demand for him to step down from office for letting the 'demon' lead such a powerful unit. Not only that he would have to explain to the families of these Youkai members that he had failed them and allowed their children to succumb to the powerful charisma that Naruto possessed.
Yet if he declined the request, he would have to try and stop the eight of them from leaving this village and that would be a very difficult task. Naruto alone could very well escape on his own and it would be considered a lose as he knew the flash and if another village was to get a hold of that it would be a disaster. Yet he could stand his ground and fight them and allow everyone to escape before escaping himself and then they were in a even bigger hole.
"You will answer now, Hokage. If you stall any longer I will take my ninja and leave this village to either the Cloud or the Rock." Naruto hastened his ultimatum as he was growing tired of waiting for an answer as the old man tried to think this through and time was something he wasn't going to give him.
Gritting his teeth as this was the worst possible scenario of anything he could think of and he hadn't had to deal with such a extraneous circumstance in years. He was lucky that Kakashi stepped forward and stalled for a little more time. "You don't honestly expect to be able to escape the village will all of you after us. Even with the flash, we can still track you down."
"I don't expect to escape. I will level this village if I do not get an answer immediately." Naruto harshly responded at Kakashi before he lifted his right arm up and began to form a single orb of blue chakra.
As Kakashi recognized the Rasengan, he was ready to act when it suddenly began to morph into something more and became far larger then before. Of all the times he seen his master use the Rasengan it never had took such a unique shape.
Tendrils of what seemed to be wind began to sprout from the sides giving the orb a shuriken like shape while electricity began to spark around it. "This is my creation of my own... The Rasenshuriken and it packs enough power as of right now to rip this entire stadium to shreds along with a couple blocks outside it! If one of you moves, I will unleash it and take my Youkai away from this rotten core!"
"Fine, I will accept the Youkai as an official and elite group within the walls of Konoha." Sarutobi gritted his teeth as he knew this was technique Minato had been working on before the end of his life and knew that Naruto was not lying about how much damage it could inflict especially as he felt the fox's charka being drawn towards it.
"Lord Hokage!" Many ninja shouted in surprise that he was giving into such a demand but were silenced as the Hokage had made his decision.
"He is more then capable of doing what he just said... Stand down." The Third snapped as he kept his focus on Naruto, who began to draw his chakra in to weaken the technique before tossing it the free wall of the stadium.
In a powerful explosion, wind whipped around everyone and lighting scattered from the impact and watched as the wall was literally obliterated piece by piece until there was nothing left. An enormous crater surrounded the impact zone, spreading thirty meters wide and five deep. And it was only inches from causing any true damage to the village outside.
As the environment calmed, Naruto gazed at the destruction. "That was how powerful that attack is at one quarter of the strength I had it at. With only a little more power I could have destroy those shops just outside if I wanted to."
"What the fuck was that for?! I've accepted your unit as part of this village! There was no reason to do something like that!" Sarutobi violently yelled out at Naruto and prepared for a fight as he expected Naruto not to hold up his part of the negotiation.
However, Naruto shrugged his shoulders as he gazed at the elderly man. "I had drained as much chakra as I possibly could so that I could safely explode it. If I continued to drain it it would have erupted in my hands and would have killed everyone within a fifteen meter radius of me. ...But to add another true explanation, it was a display of my power."
"Stop testing me Naruto! Until it is written I can take back whatever I said and have all of you thrown in jail or executed!" The Third roared as he slipped off this Hokage outfit to reveal the armor he wore underneath outside of the head piece which he quickly put on in case this become violent.
"Then I suggest you prepare the papers as my threat still stands. I haven't even begun to display what I am truly capable of and if you don't want to fail those that you so dearly wish to protect you best get to work." Naruto stated as he drew forth a tri-bladed kunai and pointed it straight towards the Hokage.
Narrowing his eyes as he knew he was being toyed with, Sarutobi mentally cursed. He wasn't sure when and how Naruto had become this powerful but even if Jiraiya was there, which he was getting pissed as he was suppose to be within the village right now, nothing could be done against such a force. They had to give into his demands if they wished to keep Hiraishin and such power from being used against them.
"But..." Now Naruto was testing him as he drew forth a single a scroll. "If you sign this draft of what I want of the Youkai, this can all be over and everything can go back to the way it was and you can get on with this little tournament of yours."
Biting his tongue to keep from growling as he was handed the scroll, Sarutobi nearly froze from what he began to read what was inside. Naruto was demanding for immunity from almost everything so he conduct his experiments, train his shinobi in very questionable manners and have the ability to recruit whoever he wanted no matter the age. The only bright side was that he would run his program through him and allow the village to profit from their actions.
However, that was nothing compared to the names he of the members that were already part of the Youkai... And some were extremely disturbing and the list of trainees really bothered him as his own grandson was on the list.
Uzumaki Naruto, Hyuuga Hinata, Uchiha Sasuke, Haruno Sakura, Nara Shikmaru, Kabuto, Tenten, Kurama Yakumo and... Shizune, Jiraiya and Senju Tsunade. ...Each of them was a front line member of the Youkai.
"No... This can't be." Sarutobi muttered as he read the last of the names in horror. "You can't be serious... Both are..."
"They have pledge their loyalty to the Youkai as long as we stand in Konoha otherwise they will side with the village, not you. They have already promised they will not impede us and allow us to take our trainees if we are to desert this village." Naruto responded as he had expected this reaction from the Hokage.
"And just for your information... They were the ones that drafted that scroll you hold now. While they don't like what my experiments involve, they truly believe after what this village put me through I should have the right to do whatever I please! Now either sign that or let us go in peace as you know you can't stop us." Naruto was getting tired and want this to end.
Looking at the form defeated, the Hokage summoned a pen from his wardrobe and slowly signed the deal before stamping it with his seal of approval. "There... It is official. The Youkai are officially a high caliber unit within the forces of Konoha and you are granted amnesty to perform you experiments and training as you please. ...I just want to know one thing... The Fourth is still alive, isn't he?"
"Yes... Both he and my mother live within the seal along with the fox." Naruto admitted as he gazed over at the elderly Hokage the scroll was given back to him.
But as he took it, he handed another to the old man who now looked confused before he opened it and read the details within. "This is... I see. You still remembered that night... Very well then, you are to take your unit and retrieve her as soon as possible. However since you are the client, I require payment to allow for a mission of this level."
"Falcon, pay the man the fee. Eagle, you are in charge of training the young ones while I am out. If you have any trouble, you know how to summon me." Naruto stated as the Youkai with bun hair nodded and pulled out a pouch filled with the need cash for the mission and handed it to the Hokage.
"I won't need to so take care of yourself my love." Hinata spoke as she slipped off her mask before gently kissed the side of his mask, upset that he wouldn't take it off but knew of the reason why. "If anyone tries anything the sannin are there to protect the your children."
"Thank you... Hinata." Naruto had to force himself to say her real name as now that he wasn't in his fake persona, it was truly difficult for him to display affection along with many other emotions.
Turning to the Hokage, who was checking the pouch before nodding as it was more then enough, the Third tossed it to a nearby Anbu and turned to Naruto before giving a simple nod as he accepted the mission. "Assemble a four man cell of who you wish and head out to the Wave... You are to retrieve Uzumaki Karin immediately."
"Raven, Flame, Weasel. If you have anything you will need for this mission, get it now. We leave in five minutes." Naruto ordered before he simply flickered away in a flash of light as the rest dispersed in flickers of leaves, flames or the wind.
Picking up his robes, Sarutobi closed his eyes as tears began to rolled down his cheeks. This was too much for him to take any more... He had utterly failed as the leader of this village and created a monster... A monster worse then even Orochimaru but this time he could do nothing more then watch and he... He just couldn't do that. He could have saved this one but he failed to when he truly needed to succeed.
Turning to the closest ninja, who happened to be Kakashi, he placed the robes in his hands before turning away. "Go takes those to Danzo... Tell him of he wants the job, take it. ...I'm not fit to lead this village."
Before anyone could argue, the elderly Hokage disappeared with a flicker of wind and appeared within his office. Drawing forth a kunai, the elderly Hokage sighed as this truly was his fault and he could not bear it any longer.
This was the end of his reign as the Third Hokage.
