Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ Highschool With Deidara And Tobi ❯ Chapter 3: Math Class ( Chapter 2 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]
After leaving the office, rain started to fall. It was drizzling, then it got harder, and harder, and then...

BOOM!

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" screamed a tall girl in a pink outfit, as she ran past Deidara, Tobi, and Nella.

"What now? It's raining, un," Deidara asked Nella.

"Why are they screaming? It's just rain," the good boy Tobi said.

"They're like that," Nella simply replied, walking through the rain, not caring if her outfit got wet.

Nella wore an orange shirt, brown pants, and a beige hat. She had green rubber shoes, and white socks. Her forehead. Her Konoha forehead protecter was one her neck, and unlike Deidara, it didn't have a slash through the village's symbol.

"Do you want to wait under the shade for the bell to ring, or just get to class?" Nella asked Tobi and Deidara.

"Let's just get to your class, yeah..." sighed Deidara.

"It says math class is first," Tobi said.

"Yeah. Follow me," Nella instructed her two comrades, walking up stone stairs.

Deidara and Tobi followed.

Nella opened a wide, large, blue door, that students usually hung around. Some boys starting to stare at Tobi, so Nella opened the door before the boys could ask why Tobi was wearing a mask.

The blue door led to a hallway, which doors were aligned in a straight and orderly fashion. The artwork of Ms. Kaya's advanced class seperated the doors.

There are some artistic students here... thought Deidara, Hmmm...

Nella entered the fifth door to the right. There was a 1x5 silver sign on the centered on top of the blue door, which read, "Mr. Hyan". The door was already opened.

"Good morning, Marinella. Oh, are these new students?" Mr. Hyan asked.

"Yes," said Nella.

"Why wasn't I informed about this?" he asked.

"I don't know," Nella replied.

"Tobi's a good boy," said Tobi.

He'll always introduce himself to people like that... Nella said in her head.

Deidara just looked at Mr. Hyan, smirked, and went inside the class.

The classroom had brown wallpaper around, decorated with inspiration posters. There were black cabinets to the back of the classroom, where the teacher kept his math tools. There was a whiteboard to the front of the class, and next to the right of the whiteboard, was Mr. Hyan's cedar desk. His desk was rather tall, and all it had on top of it was a couple of papers and pens. Mr. Hyan's chair looked like an elementary school chair, just much, much larger. The bird's eye view of the chairs made it seem like Mr. Hyan's tried to make it look like a perfect square. There were five desks in each row.

"Where do they sit?" Nella asked to Mr. Hyan, who was still at the door.

"Erm..." Mr. Hyan thought for a moment, "Let them sit wherever they want for now. Hear that, boys? Sit wherever you want!" he said to Tobi and Deidara, who were both looking around the class.

I'm going to stay as far away from Tobi as possible... thought Deidara.

Nella's row was filled up. A boy with brown spikey hair, a goth girl, Nella, an overweight boy with a dirty shirt and orange hair, and a girl who was only two inches taller than Nella. The girl looked liked she belonged to a preppy club.

Tobi sat behind Nella, staring blankly at her medium black hair. His row was filled, minus one student, who usually never showed up. Deidara sat at the right corner on the back of the room, where only two other people were sitting. Both were absent, though.

Everyone else was scattered about.

"Why do you have a mask on?" asked the girl who sat to Tobi.

She had orange hair that went down to her knees, and bright yellow eyes. She had a rainbow butterfly clip on the right side of her hair. Her name was Patty Smiss. Tobi thought she was pretty.

"I like this mask," said Tobi.

"Why do you wear it? CAUSE YOU'RE FUCKIN UGLY?" laughed the girl.

"Shut up, Patty!" Nella turned around, angry at her for calling a good boy fugly.

"You shut up! You've never been kissed, so you have no right to say that to me!" Patty screamed.

Mr. Hyan was completely ignoring the two girls quibbling.

Tobi felt sad in the inside. Nella didn't want to see Tobi cry. Deidara was looking at Tobi, Patty, and Nella, interested in seeing what's going to happen.

"Ok class!" Mr. Hyan said, after two minutes of fighting between Nella and Patty.

Patty continued insulting Nella, as Nella paid close attention to her math teacher. Deidara smirked at Patty. Nella didn't know if Tobi was paying close attention to Mr. Hyan, or if he was sleeping with his head up.

"Ok class, we have two new students. For that, we won't do any work. Yay!" said Mr. Hyan.

Nella liked Mr. Hyan, he said when there was a joyful event, he wouldn't give work.

"New students, please stand up," Mr. Hyan told Deidara and Tobi.

Tobi stood up, then Deidara up, saying, "Hm..." under his breath.

"Please introduce yourselves!" Mr. Hyan told them, "Boy with the mask, you go first,"

Tobi said nothing.

"Tobi, that's you," Nella said.

"Ah! I'm Tobi! My comrade said I'm a good boy!" he said, then sat down.

"Any questions for Tobi?" Asked Mr. Hyan, who was completely unaware of the akward introduction.

"Why are you wearing a mask?" asked the overweight boy.

"I like my mask!" Tobi said.

"Are you sexy?" asked the preppy girl who sat near Nella.

"... I'm a good boy?" replied Tobi.

Everyone giggled a bit.

"Any other questions?" Mr. Hyan asked, giving the eye to Kathryn (the girl who asked if Tobi was sexy).

Silence.

"Ok, the other boy, please introduce yourself," Mr. Hyan told Deidara.

"My name is Deidara. I enjoy art," he said.

What's with Tobi's introduction? Nella thought, It's cute!.

"Why do you have long hair? And why does it cover half your face?" asked the overweight boy.

Nella realized that Deidara kept his scope. She thought that he didn't have it when he was younger. Or he liked his scope, and wanted to keep it for school.

Deidara then showed off his scope, "I use it for long-range observation," he said, ignoring the long hair question.

Nella was glad he didn't say it could see through genjutsu.

"Did you get rid of your other eye?" someone who Nella didn't recognize the voice of asked.

"[insert Deidara's answer here, since Nella does not know]," he replied.

"Any other questions for Deidara?" Mr. Hyan asked.

No one said anything.

"Well then, we'll watch The Lion King!" Mr. Hyan announced happily, putting a Lion King tape into the VCR player thingamabob.

And so, Nella, Deidara, and Tobi saw The Lion King. Before the movie could end, though, the class ended, and everyone ran out the door.
