Chapter 2: The Thunder Dragon
Makes Its Appearance!
The clouds began to twist and turn as they began pitch black—eliminating almost all light in the area. Hiei noticed the sudden change in the forest, “What the hell is going on?”
This one of those pretty old sunshine days—or at least it should have been. Thunder roared in the distance, signaling that it was going to storm soon—Hiei had better get to a shelter fast.
Hiei ran in the direction that he had been traveling for a while—hoping that it was the correct one. Thunder roared as a bolt of lightning struck the grass before him. Dark gusts of wind blew angrily through the forest.
“Oh no…” Hiei said—his eyes wide open. He flipped open a pocket book on all of the criminals of the shinobi world, then flipped open to Mahia Kilik, missing shibobi from the village hidden in darkness.
“So you do know me, eh?” called a voice down from a tree.
Hiei jumped and turned backwards, seeing the man who was to be known as Mahia Kilik. Kilik tossed a kunai at Hiei and he blocked it.
`What was the point of that?' Hiei thought, then realized that clones of Kilik surrounded him. “Obviously, you don't know who I am.” Hiei said in a boasting tone.
Hiei made a hand sign, turning his eyes white and activating the Byakuugan. `What the hell?' He thought as he stared around. Hiei couldn't see through the clones—it was like they were all Kilik, but that couldn't be possible.
“Say hello to my Darkness clones!” Each one of the clones, along with the original, dashed at Hiei.
Hiei drew both of his swords and blocked at attacks. A kunai cut across Hiei's chest, forcing him to the ground. Blood spurted from his wound.
“Die.” A simple voice said and slashed Hiei across the neck. A cloud of white smoke appeared and after it had cleared, Kilik realized—Hiei was gone!
“Your turn!” Hiei shouted as he slashed both katana across the back of one of the clones—however, all it did was regenerate. The clone spun around and punched Hiei across the face, hurtling him into a tree.
“You just don't get it, do you?” asked one of the clones. “As long as the darkness exists, these clones can't be destroyed!” Hiei winced as he tried to stand up. There was pain on every inch of his body.
Each of the clones dashed at him and beat Hiei into the ground. `I need a diversion…' Hiei thought. He grinned then stood up. “I surrender…” Hiei said, wincing from all of the pain that Kilik and his clones had given him.
“Fine then, since you did that, I think I will grant you a quick and painless death.” A clone threw a kunai at Hiei, but almost as soon as the dagger touched Hiei's skin, a cloud of white smoke appeared.
Hiei watched from behind a tree where the clones stared in awe—they had been tricked. “Dammit!” One shouted.
Another called out, “Find him! We will not leave this forest until every inch of it is searched! He must not be allowed to live!” The clones all split up.
“Shit…” Hiei mumbled—they were all split up now, and he would have to rendezvous them in order for his plan to work. For now though, he meditated his chakara, increasing it to what he needed.
“Here he his!!” A clone shouted as it saw Hiei.
“This'll have to work.” Hiei said after swearing. He ran off to where they could all surround him—and they did.
“Ha, ha, your surrounded, what are you going to do?”
“You idiots, you fell straight into my trap.” Hiei began making hand signs.
“Get him!” A clone shouted, realizing that he was going to perform a jutsu.
“Too late.” Hiei said, grinning. “Lightning Style - Thunder Dragon Jutsu!” The clouds began to twist again and the clones stopped to watch. A dragon roared in the distance, and the darkness began to fade, wearing down the clones.
After a half of a minute or so, a shining yellow dragon emerged from the clouds, illuminating the area. The dragon soared down into the area and electrocuted all of the clones. They all disappeared except for one—it had to be the original.
The thunder dragon dashed at Kilik, but a cloud of smoke appeared. A tall figure, shrouded in the fog picked up Kilik and disappeared.
Hiei shrugged—knowing that he had defeated Mahia Kilik was good enough for him to know. Hiei's eyes closed and he fell over, unconscious.
