Uchiha Sasuke sat in a tree, just on the outskirts of the Konoha Leaf Village where he had been "raised". The soft sounds of his flute flitted across the wind as he played a sad melody, the words fliting through his head as he did so. 'Cultivate your hunger before you idealize. Motivate your anger to make them all realize. Climbing the mountain, never coming down. Break into the contents, never falling down.' He paused for a moment then smirked as he played the second part, the words still in his mind. 'My knee is still shaking, like I was twelve, Sneaking out of the classroom, by the back door. A man railed at me twice though, but I didn't care. Waiting is wasting for people like me.' That line had always made him think of Naruto, sad as it was. He played the next part. 'Don't try to look so wise, Don't cry, 'cause you're so right, Don't dry with fakes or fears, 'Cause you will hate yourself in the end...' 1

With a choke, he hit a sour note and sighed, the flute now hanging in his limp arm. He'd finally passed the Chunnin exams, as had Naruto, Sakura, Hinata, and Neji. Neji...The baine of his existance, yet as the last line said, "Don't dry with fakes or fears, 'cause you will hate yourself in the end.", and he knew it was the truth. "Neji-san..."

Hyuga Neji gave off a soft sigh, his head hung and his eyes closed. His arms covered his head as he sat in the grass outside the Leaf Villages walls. He opened one eye slowly hearing the flute stop, but said nothing as he glanced around curiously. He shrugged and then closed the eye again, leaning back slightly.

Sasuke, unaware of the others nearness just sighed forlornly. All he could think of was how cruel Neji had been to him, like it was his fault that he had lost to Naruto. He gasped as he suddenly flashed back.

"This is your doing, Uchiha. You are the one who is at fault this is...if he hadn't wanted to beat you, I would have won."

"But, Neji-kun..."

"NEVER call me -kun! To you, I am Neji-sama. Pitiful fool..."

The boy had just walked off then, leaving himself to fall to his knees, bursting into tears. "Dammit..."

With a dark scowl, the white-eyed chunnin stood and brushed himself off lightly, then crossed his arms over his chest, walking futher away from the village. He closed his eyes once more, sighing again as he blew some hair from his eyes.

The sigh was heard by the boy in the tree and he saw Neji. He glared as he called, "Neji-kun, where're you going? You know it's late, we're not allowed out of the village alone."

Neji stopped dead in his tracks and then turned his head to Sasuke, a firce glare there. "It's -sama. Don't you remember? I am not going far...and I am not alone, as you seem to be here with me."

The Uchiha Genious winced, apparently, Neji was still pissed. "Neji-k...sama...Gomen nasai..." He jumped from his tree to land beside the other, head bowed. "I will go with you then."

A smirk flitted across the Hyuga Genious as he nodded slightly. "You're forgiven...for now." He watched the boy then brushed some hair from his eyes. "I could go alone..." He let the other use his imagination for a moment before he added, "But alright. Come along." He shrugged lightly then rolled his eyes as he continued forwards.

The boy followed, head bowed. To think...he the Uchiha Genious was taking orders from somebody...then again, that somebody, rather someone, was Neji. Not only could he easily kick his ass,but, he Sasuke had a crush on the boy...more so, was in love with him.

The elder noticed a lack of...anything from the Uchiha heir, as he stopped. He would toy with this boy, make him think that he was not in danger. Time to act. "Er...where are we now, Sasuke?" He turned to look at the other boy, hiding his smirk as he watched the others startled face. He was buying it. He titled his head slightly and crossed his arms, before straightening again.

"The river is only a little further...We are a bit aways from the village now..." The boy spoke, his head still bowed submissivly. He knew it wasn't like Neji to get lost, but the other did seem genuenly confused.

"Oh, right." A chuckle made it's way to his mouth before he surpressed it. The other was basically eating out of his hand. Murdering this one would not be hard. "I knew that." He continued to walk forwards then, not looking back as he said, "You coming or not, Sasuke?"

"Hai, Neji-sama..." He followed after the other quickly a soft sigh escaping his lips as he did. This was bad...He was going vollentarily to the river with Neji. He knew, knew that Neji would kill him in a heartbeat, if he so chose.

The smirk never left his face as he placed his hands behind his head, giving a light yawn, then sighing. He stopped slowly when the river came into view and look back at the other boy. "You go first, Sasuke."

"Aa..Hai, Neji-sama..." 'Oh shit...I'm gonna die...' He walked forward, passing the other boy, shivering as he did so.

"Mhmm...." He let out a small laugh then smirked once more, walking after the other boy and crossing his arms over his chest once more. He watched the other, a dangerous glint in his eye.

Sasuke's breathe became forced as he tried to hide his fear from Neji. He didn't wish to die yet...but...Neji would, he knew Neji.

Slowly, he un-crossed his arms and went up behind the boy, raising his hands up slowly. "Keep going, we are close..." He smirked and placed his hands on the boys shoulders, pushing him forwards a bit.

A startled gasp left his mouth, but he walked a little faster as the hands commanded, shivering worse then before. Neji was touching him...but it wasn't comforting. He was leading the other to his death and the other knew it. However, he enjoyed the touch none-the-less.

He stopped, his hands tightening on the boys shoulders. "Go on, I have something to do...." He pushed the boy forward again, taking his arms and crossing his chest once more.

A slow nodded and a, "Yes, Neji-sama," before he continued again, his eyes clentched shut tightly. The river was even closer now, and his heartbeat picked up a bit.

A step back, and the byakugan user was enshrouded by the shadows of a tree. He leaned against it, waiting. "Tell me when you are at the edge!" He smirked to himself, locking his hands together.

A shiver ran through him and he kept walking, heart almost leaving his chest. He was going to die tonight...he knew it. "I am there..." He had reached the edge, and he began to shake worse as the wind blew past him.

The hands unlocked as their owner glanced up, smirking once more as he jumped up into it. He quickly climbed to the highest branches, watching the boy from the distance. "Alright..." He jumped from the tree, landing beside the boy, looking over at him. "Go on, get in."

The boys head lifted sharply as he looked over at the other, then nodded. No words were needed as he stepped forward and into the water, cringing at the cold.

The smirk returned as he watched the boy. "Go to about...waist deep..." He nodded his head, fairly giddy with the thought of watching the other drown by his own hand. He noted that the other looked back curiously, but he only reached out a hand, waving him on. "Go on."

Once he was waist deep he shivered from fear, cold, and nervousness. "Now....what, Neji-kun...?" He knew he was going to die...but he thought he'd prolong the inevitable.

The older walked into the water also, not even flintching at the water's chill. He mearly shook it off and went up to the boy, his head hung, hiding the evil smirk on his face.

A deep breathe was taken as the Uchiha heir shivered, panik setting in. It was all over. He snapped his eyes shut.

HAHHHAHAHAHHA!!! You thought I was going to be nice, ne? Sorry, I have enough things in this to make in a cliffy almost EVERY chapter. UNfortunatly, since I'm scatter brained, you'll have to CONSTANTLY remind me to work on this...lol You can IM me, PastPharaohAtem or email me...but IM is the best way since I talk alot so ya kno...
