===KARI'S POV===

I woke up, sunlight peering through the window… I smiled as I cuddled on the warmth of the blankets surrounding me. Then my eyes shot opened. Blankets? I sat up the bed and looked around, I smiled as I recognized the familiar place I was in. Then suddenly someone knocked on the door. "Kari? You awake?" It was Sasuke, I told him that he can go in, then the door opened, he then pulled a chair beside my bed. "How do you feel now?" he asked. I smiled and told him that im fine, but actually I cant remember the rest that happened that day… (A/N: You guys also wondering what happened? Yes? Ok… here…) I closed my eyes to remember… then blurred scenes were playing in my head…

"Kakashi-sensei, Naruto-kun please calm down…" (Back to Chapter 8)

"KARI!!!" Naruto and the rest (Yes, even Sakura) shouted at the same time.

I turned around only to see a kunai heading towards me. I stayed rooted in the spot, not able to move. Then someone pushed me out of the way…but the blade slightly hit my shoulder. I winced in pain as I tried to figure out the person who pushed me, but the only thing I saw was a blur of orange. Naruto… I whispered before my world turns black.

Kari shook her head and frowned. Sasuke noticed and asked what's wrong.

"Sasuke… what happened?" she saw him clench his fists in anger and placed her hands on his, smiling slightly.

"It turned out the it was Orochimaru who sent those nins after you, well not only you, but me also. It seems that he is gathering all his followers and marked ones back to him, he's plotting something." Sasuke answered.

"Oh… and Naruto? What happened to him and the others." Kari felt Sasuke tensed, and she didn't like it one bit. "Why?"

"Naruto is in the hospital, the kunai that is supposed to hit you is poison-dipped…" Sasuke was cut off when Kari gasped. He hushed her and continued. "Well, seems like poison dipped kunais are attracted to you, remember when we first met?"

Kari nodded and let him continue.

"Well, Tsunade is tending him, and his condition is improving. Sakura, dont worry about her… she's unharmed." Sasuke looked at her before standing up, and headed for the door.

"Wait, Sasuke…" Kari said, which stopped Sasuke from turning the knob.

"Yes?"

"You forgot someone… sensei, how about Kakashi-sensei?" Kari felt him tense again, this time, it scared her. "Sasuke? What happened to sensei?"

"He… the sound-nins got him"

"WHAT?! Tsunade-sama, tell me that isn't true!"

"Gin-san, calm down, those were sound-nins, Kakashi is only one, Kari is unconscious, Sasuke and Naruto are wounded, Sakura is stunned. He could not have taken them himself" Tsunade said, trying to calm Yuki down.

"But he was the Copy ninja right!"

"Now Yuki, be reasonable… Kakashi is tired from the group's training, he would be very vulnerable at the end of the day." Tsunade looked up as a determined individual knocked on her door. "Come in"

The door opened ad Iruka went in, gasping for breath. "Hokage-sama…"

"Iruka-san, whats wrong?"

"Theres news, bad news"

"What is it?"

"It seems that Orochimaru and Nikui Tsuno had joined forces."

"NIKUI TSUNO?!" Yuki exclaimed, standing from her seat… "Tell me where they are."

"I don't know miss." Iruka said.

"Yuki-san, once again, calm down"

"But Tsunade-sama, my aunt has Kakashi, I can go there and retrieve Kakashi, and at the same time… I can fulfill my mission concerning Nikui Tsuno." Yuki clenched her fist and turned to Tsunade. "Hokage-sama, allow me to be in this retrieval missions as one of the nins of the Leaf."

"Hmm… very well… but you will be accompanined."

"As you wish Hokage-sama, but with whom? Iruka-san and Kurenai-san, one of the best jounins around Leaf."

Iruka smiled, "Thank you for entrusting this task to me, this message will be sent to Kurenai-san."

Tsunade nodded and stood. "Gin-san, I ensure you, Iruka-san is an experienced jounin also Kurenai-san, they would be of much help to you."

Yuki nodded and reached out her hand. "Nice meeting you Iruka, please address me as Yuki-chan."

Iruka smiled and shook her hand. "Nice meeting you then." He nodded and left.
