Sasuke went to his room but with an uneasy feeling… was it because of the kiss? No… the luscious tenderness of her lips… sweet scent of lilies on her hair, the delicate angelic features of her face… her slender body… (not yet you hentai fans) no, it cant be that, but what? What is the cause of this uneasiness? His black orbs darted to the window with unknown reasons, he sighed and retired to his room, a rare smile on his lips.

Unknown to both Kari and Sasuke, there is another pair of eyes spying at them… eyes filled of with anger and hate… "This messes my plans for Sasuke… he is supposed to be the cold bastard he is, he should not feel love… that word should have never existed in his world. I have to do something about this" The eyes narrowed as his eyes went to the fragile form of the slender girl sleeping in her own peaceful room. "Sleep well Angel, that feeling of peace you're experiencing right now is to be taken away from you soon enough. You might even consider not waking up anymore…" The shadowed figure went inside her room in silence, placing a hand on her mouth to stifle a scream… "a long cold night awaits you Angel" he smirked as he saw her eyes widen with fear.

"His eyes… his eyes are…."

Then next morning, Sasuke went to Kari's room only to find her room in a mess, Kari is nowhere to be seen, blue pieces of cloth scattered around the room, his heart thumped harder each second. No doubt, it was from her clothing… but why? His eyes darted to the blanket which was thrown across the room, he ran to it as his eyes widened in fear, blood?! In rage, anger and in panic, his eyes activated the sharingan. A stifled sob was heard across the room, gripping the blanket, he ran to the closet where he heard the cry.

"GET AWAY!"

"Kari?" Here she was, naked as the day she was born, bruises and cuts all across her body, her eyes full of fear. He quickly threw the blanket at her. "Who did this to you!" he stared at her but got no response, she cant look at his eyes, that was clear to him… why? What is it that scares her so much? He picked her up covering her with the blanket, he then ran out of the house and since Kakashi is missing, he went to the Hokage's office.

Unknown to him, the same pair of eyes looking at them last night kept pace with him, a smirk on his face, clearly pleased on what he has done. "If having your family killed wasn't enough to turn you into a cold-hearted bastard and plant in hate into you, then lets try taking the ones you love. Sasuke, she would be mine… but after what happened last night, I know I have successfully taken her away from you. Sasuke, you haven't defeated me yet as you have thought you have."

"Hokage-sama! Please open the door!!!"

Tsunade who have been thinking at the moment fell out of her thoughts and ran to the door. "Sasuke calm down… WHAT HAPPENED?!" She then forgot her earlier statement when her eyes landed on Kari.

"I don't know, but it seems that something really terrible happened to her last night…"

"Come in Sasuke, wait here, tend her, while I find her some clothes, for God's Sake what happened to her…" she whispered and ran up to her room.

Sasuke laid her on the couch as he looked over her, tears on his eyes. Yes, Sasuke Uchiha, the emotionless boy now crying because of a girl.

The pair of eyes (WHO IS IT? MWAHAHAHA) still stared, getting more and more pleased on what he has done to the girl, and much more pleased seeing tears on the boy's face. "Yes… it all acts according to my plan."

"Who did this to you Kari…"

"Sasuke… go to Naruto and Sakura and tell them to go to the Hospital quick, then the three of you wait for me there. Tell the nurse in charge it is of my order, this is important. I'll bring Kari there, I'll meet you there. Now go quick!"

Sasuke nodded and wiped his tears, running out of his apartment.

Tsunade then picked up Kari placing a large T-shirt on her. "Kari… what happened to you, who did this to you…"

"Hokage-sama?! What happened to her?!" Naruto shouted while Sasuke sat in the corner, of her room, Tsunade had been pacing the room.

Sakura went to the side of Kari's bed, tears streaming down on her face, her hands clamped over her mouth. This was her teammate laying in here helpless… her body so fragile, full of cuts and bruises. She brushed her hair out of Kari's face to reveal her face, she still looked beautiful even though in her present state. Her more than anybody can relate to Kari's condition, feel her every pain… for they are both female, she even felt a bit thankful that it is not her who suffered such fate. She turned to Sasuke and addressed him… "what happened…"

Sasuke placed a hand on his forehead and spoke. "This morning, I found her room completely messed up, I searched her room only to find pieces of her broken garments… the blanket stained in blood. Sakura… I wouldn't like to think what happened to her…"

Sakura went to him and placed a trembling hand on his shoulder… "Sasuke-kun… im sorry"

Naruto clenched his fists and growled… "the moment I knew who is the bastard who did this to Kari, I promise to kill him."

Just outside Kari's room, Gaara stayed hidden on a tree branch. Staring at Kari. His face as emotionless as ever, but under this mask, emotions are shouting to get out, to be shown. He narrowed his eyes at Sasuke.

Naruto stayed at Kari's side, holding her hand… his face expressing anger and his want for revenge. Sakura merely stared. Sasuke stayed at his position in the corner of the room, sorting his own thoughts for too many questions are in his mind.

Tsunade had left to return to her office. How come a little girl like Kari be so much trouble for Konoha? But before when Kari isn't present in Konoha… things were much peaceful. Tsunade's eyes widened with guilt. Is she currently blaming Kari for ever stepping inside Konoha? Was it really her fault? She shook her head… Kari is just as homeless as Sasuke, the poor girl didn't want this to happen at the first place. She stopped in her tracks and looked back at the hospital for a while before resuming her walk back to her office.

Kari's hand twitched, Naruto looked up. "Sasuke! Sakura! She's starting to wake!"

Sasuke ran to her side, Sakura looked up and felt a pang of jealousy, but she shook her head and went to her.

Kari flinched once again, groaning in pain as she unconsciously gripped Naruto's hand, feeling this, tears sprang up Naruto's eyes as he gripped her back in affection. "Kari-chan?"

"Naruto…" she whispered, but kept her eyes closed.

Sasuke brushed Kari's hair out of her face as he whispered. "Who did this to you… what happened…"

"Red… blood red…" Kari whispered before falling back into unconsciousness.

The rest of team 7 exchanged glances, all of them asking the same questions… 'red?'

Gaara's eyes narrowed, hearing Kari's words. He gripped the branch he was on before disappearing into the forest.
